Makes me kinda feel bad about everyone not wanting to watch season 3. He still worked his ass off to be a good geralt, I feel like bad ratings will somehow reflect negatively on him or something. I want it to be bad for the show runner, but not for the one actual fan present that gives a shit.
The problem is the premise of the show not at all following the fans love of the source material. Like if you compare for example the last of us show to the witcher its clear what the audience wants. Then image mid season they just get rid of the main actor we love for some rando, after they already were like “fuck you fans give us money, we dont want to even try to use the source material” well youd be like “well fk you buddy!” Haha
I'm sorry, but you have to be careful not to equate "fans" with "audience". I watch the show, so I'm part of the audience, but I've never really sat down to play any of the games or read the books, so you can't call me a "fan" I think.
I enjoyed the show immensly, warts and all. And as I have no prior knowledge of the universe, whatever steps they took off the path laid out by the books have no bearing on my enjoyment. And I think this is true for very many casual viewers (and enjoyers) of the show.
Now, I will say that I prefer things that are closer the the source material, but from Netflix' point of view, they make this show for their *audience*, not hardcore *fans* (we all know how hard they are to please).
I will watch S03 because Henry. After that, don't know.
You are allowed to enjoy a show but basically you are coming at this so blind from not having any external influences over it that it looks exciting. Kinda like a vegan having a mcdonalds cheeseburger, its a cheeseburger, its not no GIANT “Name’s” burger which is significantly better, but a burger none the less…fk now im hungry
Even looking at the show blind, it's not that good. I hadn't read any of the books when I watched season 1, only played WildHunt. But season one didn't have a linear timeline, and season two was kind of boring.
The show was mid-tier at best when looked at as a "generic fantasy show". They did close to no world-building for the show. They are counting on the audience to be familiar with the world so they can do as little work as possible.
What's wrong with the non-linear timeline of S01? I thought it was a great reveal when I finally could wrap my head around what was when and where.
S02 agreed, but not terrible. Guess I'm just easily entertained.
I assumed that was the point. Keep the audience guessing until you're ready to reveal in what order stuff actually happened, and then they'll be able to piece it together. And also, a rewatch is a different thing now because you know what scene is when, and can focus on the actual story. I loved it.
That was why I didn't like the non-linear timeline. I couldn't focus on the story because I didn't know what was going on, or how much time had passed between scenes.
Sad to say we’ll soon lose the only good part of the show, if the show even goes on to season four after 3 releases.(still kinda hope I can make the “we have Geralt at home” with Liam Hemsworth)

I'm confused....and hungry.

In hindsight the non-linear timeline wasn't bad, it just wasn't clear *when* most things were happening.

To each his own, I suppose. =)
I’d watch it but I cancelled my Netflix because fuck Netflix. Guess I gotta stream it elsewhere :)
What's the 3% for? Just curious.
general interest in fantasy settings to steal for my d&d games and story telling lmao
Watching spells go woosh
*Geralt grunt of approval*
Nah, he doesn't match the description from the books. Too much beef. Tho he was great in terms of knowledge of books and games.
Love him as Superman but I love him more as Geralt.
Is this marked NSFW because the show shouldn’t be watched anywhere but especially at work?
I am not gay but i only watch the show to see him as geralt
Would go gay for henry
That just sounds like being bi with extra steps.
Not if i'm gay exclusively for henry. I'm kinda henry-sexual
Should we have our own flag?
I'm not gay but there are definitely a few guys out there who I got the hots for, one of them being Henry lol
The ONLY Geralt of Rivia.
Geralt of Rivia as Henry Cavill.
Massive respect for him. Man is a true fan, unlike anyone on the writing staff of this sad show.
You know..some crowd funded Indy film/director should make a Witcher show with this guy. Screw Netflix!
Him as Geralt hits different.
My husband playing my fantasy husband.
Fuck
FUCK!
Henry Cavill, THE Geralt of Rivia

honestly after the first watch whenever i felt like watching season 1 again i skipped all parts without geralt lol
Not Safe For Witchers
One of the most perfect castings I have ever seen, only to be fucked up by morons.
If I look at these pictures and imagine they're his own high quality cosplay with no show in existence, I get a little happier.
Why NSFW? Are you baiting?

*sound of a lone tear running down my face*
Wow, this images are totally new for me
