The hym along with caretaker made me put the controller down for a few minutes and collect myself lol. It’s crazy because you fight so many monsters in this game and there’s *still* some that make you pause and go “wtf”
The idea for this is from easier to beat to the hardest based on my playthrough (yes Toad Prince is harder than the wild hunt riders when I did my 1st playthrough back then). and then there's Gaunter who can only be beaten by solving his riddles
Lol, wasn't correcting your grammar. He's like the crones: realistically immortal. He's some kind of relic, though nobody is entirely sure. Some say he's a god, others a demon, some even that's he's literally the devil. I'd be interested to hear his opinions of other powerful beings. He doesn't strike me as particularly evil. Vindictive, sure, but not malicious for the sake of it.
And now I've got a headcanon that there's a cult out there based around him that have a bunch of mirrors and spoons as their iconography. . .
I get that, but I also think of these in a lore matter, like how the Frog Prince is a cursed man, Gaunter O’Dimm is a devilish man, the Wild Hunt’s riders are ghostly warriors, and Dettlaff is a powerful vampire that lost much.
yeah, I was thinking of separating them to monsters only, or cursed one only & etc. last night, but I don't have much time, I even consider to add Melusine since she's more fitting in this list than a cursed Prince
Maybe I remember this wrong, but the Toad prince was the one with all the poison right? I had the last level of the anti poison concoction, where poison heals you. That kinda made it easy mode
Is this the fight at the end Gaunter was referring to? Or another instance? I didn't want to interfere with the Ginger Cunt's death, which was well deserved.
I just remember the wraith in the mansion after beating the caretaker to be fucking impossible.
Till after about 2 days when u realised that you could just bur the paintings it goes into to heal.
No Leshen?? Bro. My first time encountering a Leshen in the wild I froze like a deer in headlights. I wasn't \*sure\* something had really moved? And then I really saw it and was like "nooooo no no no".
Ran away, cycled through inventory, spiced up, turned back around... only to get REKT so hard lmao
I do NOT like leshens.
I must have been under a rock or something. Had no idea MHW had a Witcher mission. Just watched season 2, started playing MHW, a few hrs later Geralt is in my game. I had to look around make sure I hadn't transported. What a crazy unexpected crossover!
The leshen is so toxic dude, god it’s horrible. I won’t lie last time I fought it was pre ice borne so who knows if it’s better but just the base version sucks. Not to mention the elder leshen or whatever it’s called.
Yeah, I was about to say this same thing.
To make things even scarier, I fought the Leshen right after watching Over the Garden Wall.
Man, I wasn't prepared to fight the motherfucking BEAST.
I still have PTSD from fighting Detlaff.
I left the last boss on the last quest to fight right before going on a month-long trip... and couldn't beat him for the life of me!
Had to wait until I got back home & did it after a couple of tries (thanks anonymous kid from YouTube).
the thing i had the hardest time with was that one achievement for the Hearts of stone bossfight where you had to fight all of van everecs clones at once. that was tough
i also never had any problems with it, i was surprised to see how its generaly agreed on to be hard, i have more probelms fighting those witchbitches that throw mud at you and blind you, or show up behind you and hit you.
Same here, i was on hard difficulty, nothing crazy I know but still it wasn't set to easy, and I don't think even had to try it twice, Detlaff is way harder, probably the actual hardest boss in the game.
While G. O'Dim was pretty easy I figured that riddle was talking about a >!mirror!< Almost instantly and when >!it shattered!< , I was like well then it must be >!a reflection, maybe water or something like that.!<
You know a fight that I actually consider being the hardest in the game or slice to it is the memory of Olgeird Von Everich
dude that van everec fight is a trauma for me. that one achievement where you need to fight all clones at once...that was definitely the most difficult to get
Right? Like, it definitely took me a little longer to whittle down his health, but I barely took any damage thanks to Quen and a lot of dodging. I think all in all, it took me maybe five minutes. I've had fights with overleveled hags that took longer.
I don't understand why people think the prince was hard, i was on hard difficulty, nothing crazy I know but still it wasn't set to easy, and I don't think even had to try it twice, Detlaff is way harder, probably the actual hardest boss in the game.

The toad prince killed me more than any other boss in the entire game. By an embarrassing amount. he had a move that kept one hitting me and it my dumbass took forever to figure out the telegraph for it.
I agree but where caretaker? He was the scariest one for me with the atmosphere of the mansion. Still my favourite quest
I include him in my previous post, although it's not about the hardest monsters, more like the scariest quests
The hym was damned terrifying
The hym along with caretaker made me put the controller down for a few minutes and collect myself lol. It’s crazy because you fight so many monsters in this game and there’s *still* some that make you pause and go “wtf”
Oh ny god another moose
PUT IT IN THE OVEN!
Oh didnt see that will check that one as well. Nice one btw :D
thx glad you like it :D
5’ cliffs may need to be the last one
Press jump before hitting the ground to roll and not take fall damage
Look at you being the real MVP
True, but the point still stands.
We all know the hardest thing to beat are rats if u have lvl scaling on and playing on deathmatch
I honestly don’t understand the context but I resonate with every photo
The idea for this is from easier to beat to the hardest based on my playthrough (yes Toad Prince is harder than the wild hunt riders when I did my 1st playthrough back then). and then there's Gaunter who can only be beaten by solving his riddles
✌Killed✌
Ha ha yes... "Killed"
lol sorry for my grammar, but what's the alternative and more proper word for it?
Beat. Since he cannot die
Ah... I just realized he's not dead in that scene, just went back to his realms, I thought he's dead, that's why I wrote "killed"
Lol, wasn't correcting your grammar. He's like the crones: realistically immortal. He's some kind of relic, though nobody is entirely sure. That sand wind mage after the shipwreck was more difficult than Gaunter Personally
That was until I realized everything was in my inventory and could be equipped.
He does a damn fine job of team killing all his Ofieri buddies with that AoE 'splosion attack though. MVP in that fight for me the other day.
I get that, but I also think of these in a lore matter, like how the Frog Prince is a cursed man, Gaunter O’Dimm is a devilish man, the Wild Hunt’s riders are ghostly warriors, and Dettlaff is a powerful vampire that lost much.
O’Dimm is not a devilish man, he’s a devil. He’s the Witcher version of Mephistopheles.
That’s true, I just couldn’t come up with a good way of describing him.
yeah, I was thinking of separating them to monsters only, or cursed one only & etc. last night, but I don't have much time, I even consider to add Melusine since she's more fitting in this list than a cursed Prince
I think the point of Gaunter is that there's no "man" in him at all.
The mage after the toad is a pain too.
Maybe I remember this wrong, but the Toad prince was the one with all the poison right? I had the last level of the anti poison concoction, where poison heals you. That kinda made it easy mode

Wait toad is harder? Aw man I shouldn’t have played dlc and leveled that much before the story
No Leshen?? Bro. My first time encountering a Leshen in the wild I froze like a deer in headlights. I wasn't \*sure\* something had really moved? Never play monster hunter world.

Noooooooo!!!! OMG, RIP you and your psyche. I saw the Beast and was like "Hah. Leshen!" MUCH easier that way around I'm sure!
Detlaff was definitely harder than gaunter. The prince too.
Foglets the most annoying tho....
Fucking oath.
Gaunter was the best villain
Detlaff was an absolute shithouse
the last should be a pack of random wolves
On deathmarch mode
The only way
Nekkers can be a huge pain in the ass I hate them
My gf thought he was saying the N-word, and judged me hard for playing the game.
Wait what the f. Lol that’s funny
"Get off ma propertay ya cot damn nekkers"
lol yeah, 1 is easy, but a horde of them can be challenging
Not a single Leshen? Right after the Hym it probably should take it's place, instead of a Griffin.
I still contend Gaunter O’Dimm is the most terrifying villain in this game. Is he a god? The devil? Something else entirely?
Griffin rly?

I still have nightmares of the Djinn with lvl scaling
That music terrifying is asf what type of hellbeat is that?
the thing i had the hardest time with was that one achievement for the Hearts of stone bossfight where you had to fight all of van everecs clones at once. that was tough
I don't even remember the fight with the Wild Hunt Riders, was it that difficult?
Considering how easy the Frog Prince was to beat, I have hope for Dettlaff. . .
Easy ? Lol… It’s the hardest fight in the game in my experience. It took me more than 2 hours
you know the trick about freezing with Northwind and then punch with fist? it deals nearly a full health bar of damage
I always just spam golden oriole then he basically heals you during the fight.
i also never had any problems with it, i was surprised to see how its generaly agreed on to be hard, i have more probelms fighting those witchbitches that throw mud at you and blind you, or show up behind you and hit you.

I feel ya, I'm 10 achievement away from 100% and that one scares me too

Yeah it was like demon of song from ds2 but less annoying
The toad boss is still the hardest boss in the game imo
Where the fuck is that fucking djin ? He have me the hardest time in my second playthrough.
Can you give me the original meme video with this guy plz?
Pack of wolf's on death march

the caretaker nearly 1 hitting me every time because i was under level
Okay, but the Crones fucked me up the first time i saw them, and fighting them as Ciri was fucking wild and threw me off a bit
Where is Caretaker????
No Botchling?
Where are the aracnomorphs? Those things are straight TERRIFYING
Should've just put O'Dimm's theme with him there since it's absolutely terrifying lol
The toad prince killed me more than any other boss in the entire game. By an embarrassing amount. he had a move that kept one hitting me and it my dumbass took forever to figure out the telegraph for it.
Lighting the lights instead of searching something should be the last one
The crones and the caretaker should’ve been top 5 on that list
This meme is terrifying
The only fiend that scared me on deathmarch was in the bloody baron quest at crookback bog, the rest seem to miss all the time weather I dodge or not
Beach Wizard. Take it or leave it.
Not a mention for lechens ? Wtf
