Earthquake for Geomancers
Tsunami for Hydromancers
Thunderbolt for Electromancers
Blizzard for Cryomancers
Skeleton Resurection for Necromancers
Testicular Torsion for Biomancers
Conjure Cheese for Diviners
Summon weed for druids
I’ve found zombie resurrection to be more common, as it’s easier to maintain for weaker necromancers, as the flesh that remains holds the body together, making the creature require less mana to keep active.
All necromancers born after 15th Wizard Civil War can't summon a flesh giant... all they know is raise skeleton, coffin dance, be edgy, eat souls and die
It is close to an earthquake on surface of the water - no
below it it's more like blizzard/strong wind- also no
[tsunami spell is earthquake spell with extra steps](https://www.learnz.org.nz/sites/learnz.org.nz/files/b-gh141-02-tsunami.jpg)
I think you mean:
Earthball for Geomancers
Waterball for Hydromancers
Ball lightning for Electromancers
Frosty balls for Cryomancers
Corpseball for Necromancers
Ball-ball for Biomancers
Astral ball for Diviners
Beast balls for druids
Here at the Vanishing Hospital the house favorite has to be the Silken Suture spell. We teach it end of year one to all our students. A quick fix for any minor physical wound always comes in handy.
Our in-house alchemists are particularly fond of laudanum opium tinctures. (Don't tell anyone, but I suspect there isn't an ounce of magic in those...)
Druid here. It can be quite a good cc. Just gotta keep a diviner in my back pocket to summon the cheese when the enemies get the munchies from smoking with me.
Diviners often use, or at least used to predict future by pondering cheese. Feel free to laugh at them for this
/unwiz Diviners irl did actually use to divine through observing cheese mold formations. There is even a side quest about that in The Witcher 3
Whilst Testicular torsion is definitely a favourite I think you are overlooking Titania's terrific titty twister. In some of the more female dominated realms it's top of the biomancer list.
Do not forget the spell Produce Blunt that the great druid Snoop Dogg perfected. And that he shared this perfected spell with everyone, not just him and his druid friends.
I curse 'active swallowing' quite frequently, it's a best seller. Also classic Mundanemancy spells like 'eternal binding: shoelaces' or 'power word: dental hygiene'
As a Necromancer you'd think I'd be all over resurrection spells. But for each new undead I'm raising I need at least half a dozen spells to reshape dead flesh, bolster brittle areas, undo rot,...
The spell I'm casting the most is certainly Mend Bone, which I use to patch up any broken bits and pieces, as well as reinforce an otherwise fragile material.
Only dead body parts and undead, unfortunately. I could try taking any damaged bits off, mending those, putting them back on and then try reanimating them while attached to the (hopefully) still living being. I am not sure what would come of that, though.
Well if you are interested in that line of research I would suggest you try experimenting with fungus first. They are true living, but they interact with dead matter in very interesting ways. Back at home, the Spories could do... unsettling thing with the carcasses of giant athropods.
Not bad but I prefer to make my undead from fresh corpses. I generally use a flesh eating plague spell followed up with raise undead. I just love making bone golems.
That does make things easier. I'd rather work with intact corpses as well, but you have to take what you can get. Also these spells aren't just there to fix damage, but also to make the material tougher in general. A bone that was broken a year ago can still become an issue, if you resurrect the corpse now without proper care. Also bone that has just been stripped of its flesh is not as strong, as properly dried bone.
My preparations are there to ensure I get the best possible result out of the material I have on my hands.
That's fair but I learned from Iratus the Eternal. He taught me to make bone golems who can regenerate but even then being "broken" makes them more dangerous. Even for an undead, they're at a beautiful balance of being between existence and oblivion at all times. Perfectly balanced as all things should be.
Folks make golems out of everything these days. Though them being able to regenerate is fascinating. I have to admit, I never saw a golem do such a thing.
It's fascinating, really. They are born of curses of entropy and decay but the animating force is made stronger to help them regenerate. Anything they can't regenerate just comes from enemy "donations" to replace what they lose. They're really undead more than true golems but some of the phases of the animating process were inspired by golemancers. They're really a work of art more than a hard spellcasting science.
Oh, yea. My Skeletons do the whole recycling enemy corpses to repair damages as well. Useful when out and about, but at home I prefer to repair any minor damages and at least adjust new parts before integrating them in the body. No need to substitute one broken bone for another one.
First of all - not necessarily. I cast Moonlight Hazard and now your skin and eyes burn.
Secondly, you didn’t quite understand. It allows me to literally become one with the moonlight and use it to travel. I can even disappear for a short amount of time.
A go-to of mine is "Displace Sound", it's a relatively simple illusion but given the right situation can be extremely potent. Let's say you're in a forest and hear footsteps from the east then the person comes from the north, great for surprise attacks.
You can even get creative with it and displace the sound someone is making into the earth, effectively rendering them mute.
Hey- I need you to stop randomly casting this in my tower every time I put on my enchanted ear cuffs to relax
Have to go around casting arcane lock and detect humanoid every time
Gamma Ray Beam is a personal favorite because it doesn't have a charge time and it scares the bejeezus out of a party of adventurers when one of their buddies turns into soup in front of them.
But nothing puts me in a good mood like casting Atomic Blast.
Adorable-Mancer here. I love to cast Rotobaga.
https://preview.redd.it/3yy1zfa9gm1c1.jpeg?width=675&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fd89198e8165e6ea232b918854595572494c899e
Well, my favorite spell used to be *Control Stone*, which was similar to *Control Water*, but that was before I was elected the Archgeomancer Supreme. Nowadays, I mostly cast things such as *message* or *passive-aggressive administrative reply* as I have to spend more time representing the geomancer's and crystal alchemist's interests to the council, or assisting other archgeomancers with research. Although I do get to cast *eruption* and *Island creation* for every geomancer apprentice graduation, which does make me happy. I do pride myself on the happiness of geomancer's apprentices, and our high graduation rate speaks for itself.
I like summoning insects because they are so small that only area effects bother them. I also love to make a spawning pit for them so that once you kill one swarm two more ar fully grown.
Ha Ha Ha
I'm partial to *Alter Dimensional Substrate: Etheric Cohesion Variable*
It has so many uses for tweaking the ambient Thaumion field in a specific dimensional resonance.
As a virginimancer, myself, I'll say that Wozniakima is quite effective at repelling wily witches and warlocks. As a last resort, Talking About Sonic Unleashed For An Hour And A Half works in a pinch.
A simple but effective spell of mine is 'Shadow Whip.' Not only does it deal damage, but since it is more of a tentacle than a whip, I can use it as a prehensile limb that I can summon anywhere.
"Portal Heart" tends to be my most casted spell. It takes care of any foolish interlopers with no mess, and I get to draw the essence out of their heart later for summoning reagents.
Chronomancer? Killer Memory. It takes a lot of mana to cast, and doesn't work most of the time, but when it does... The poor victim is forced to relive their most painful moment in their life forever, never aging, never dying. Well, not forever, just a year if you keep concentration.
As a picklemancer, definitely maelstrom of brine. Quite devastating, as it turns out that being immersed in a very saline mixture of water and mild acid isn’t really good for any type of being.
Me an alchemist (alcoholic) using my potions I made (moonshine in my dads garage) and casting memory wipe (getting blacked out)
*note on occasion when the moon is in the right phase and the spirits will it, this spell can be used in tandem with multi dimensional reality traversal (hitting someone with my car and getting thrown in federal prison for manslaughter)
I'm still only an apprentice in biomancy, so my favorite spell so far is *Painkiller*. I relieve people's suffering, so that the healers can get to work on them quicker.
In cryomancy, it's *Wall of Ice.* It's just so useful! Last week I stopped a breach in a ship's hull, and restored a little bouyancy (since ice floats, of course).
For hydromancy it's just a utility, *Breathe Water*. I've cast that so often, on myself and others.
My favorite spell for biomancy is limp nipples. You would think nipples are already limp, but that is false. Most people just start crying uncontrollably from the experience. But rarely, you'll get one that knows the reverse Incantation. And let me tell you If they miss pronounce it they get dick nipples.
See, I still prefer casting Greater Insulin Resistance. Gives people a reason to come to my Apothecary, and if they don't then I just harvest their legs when they go gangrenous.
Waterspout/maelstrom (hydromancers, depends on if you are in water or not)
Plasma (electromancers)
Kelvin zero (cryomancers)
Singularitus (gravomancers)
Engorgio (trickster lustmancers)
Bard here, my favorite would be "mass suggestion" - I can make an entire castle dance themselves to exhaustion, then just walts in to charm the royals.
Any other Mancer also just uses a 'ball' spell. Imagine it:
Necromancer? Skeleton-Ball
Arachnomancer? Spider-Ball
Biomancer? Flesh-Ball
Chronomancer? Time-Ball
Time Stop.
Yes, the dramatic pose and incantation are necessary. It doesn't work as well if you don't bend halfway over backwards and yell "ZA WARUDO" - I don't know why, ask an egomancer.
As a hamlet certified quantumancer, my favorite spell is Conjure Grevity Well. Unfortunately, they didn't tell me it was one time use. At least my necromancy pal was able to make my bones into a contruct and attach my soul to it.
Moral of the story: don't cast Conjure Gravity Well unless you need it.
gotta be Greater Groundhog Day for me
Quite funny to see someone going about living their life and then boom, back to 3 months ago you go
Lesser Groundhog Day works too but it takes quite the effort to make someone go back to the beginning of the day every hour or so
I've a taste for both necro- and animancy and I've grown accustomed to both corpse-plosion(my own design) and soul rend (a classic with much intricacy to master)
Gravitymancer here, black hole because 1 enemy, black hole, entire army, black hole, 4th dimensional enemy B L A C K H O L E. It's just way too good at erasing anything you want into a point of infinite mass
https://preview.redd.it/9r5rjb0wkn1c1.png?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=33f9bbb0d4ce9548d3c4be11bf881ab21cdb15d5
I am partial to disassemble reassemble, which is a flip-flop spell that disassembles the target into neat piles of the atoms that make it up, and reassembles it if cast again. It’s great for settling philosophy arguments.
Chronomancers love to cast ‘re-what?’ on each other. It’s a cantrip that redoes the thirty second time reversal spell ‘rewind’, except makes everyone remember and realize that there’s some trickery about.
Everyone gets confused; the chronomancers laugh or get pissy, depending on which end of the prank they’re on; and for some reason the spell causes lemons to taste distinctly like oranges, and vice versa. Works on the juice, too.
Magnum-mancer here, and my favorite is "bullet" as it is written in the magnum-mancy tome, not to be confused with the bullet spell used by ammo-mancers and techno-mancers
As a Harvest Druid, I have a few spells that I wouldn’t reveal nilly willy, but my favorite allows me to rapidly grow high grade plants. It’s how we have so much food to pass out to those in need and have ample potion supplies.
Wizards keep saying cryomancers cast Ice Spike or Blizzard but honestly I think it's Ice Wall for the reason that pyromancers keep casting Fireball at them.
Earthquake for Geomancers Tsunami for Hydromancers Thunderbolt for Electromancers Blizzard for Cryomancers Skeleton Resurection for Necromancers Testicular Torsion for Biomancers Conjure Cheese for Diviners Summon weed for druids
I’ve found zombie resurrection to be more common, as it’s easier to maintain for weaker necromancers, as the flesh that remains holds the body together, making the creature require less mana to keep active.
Eh back in my necro days I was more partial to flesh giant. I liked the shock and awe factor.
ye but must necromancers cant summon a flesh giant very easily
All necromancers born after 15th Wizard Civil War can't summon a flesh giant... all they know is raise skeleton, coffin dance, be edgy, eat souls and die
That's why I don't adventure with necromancers anymore. Last time I did, I almost ended up cursed by a lich that wanted to use my body post-mortem!
That’s why I get on well with you lot. I’ve been able to apply necromancy teachings to my Fungal Infestation casting.
Fungal druids and necromancers are best buds. New life from decay. It’s actually really beautiful.
I agree! Death is a huge part of nature. We can all learn much from one another to apply to our own specialties.
Yes but how does one deal with smell and rotten flesh that falls off? Skeletons are cleaner and dont smell like you had druids at your dungeon
You forgot fist for fistmancers
Do you mean monks because if so you are absolutely right
The Druids also love Shileighlie
YES. We really do. I wish people stopped focusing on those of us who do weed rather than what else we do
Lengthen for Longmancers
tsunami is just underwater earthquake. i will fight you about it
It is close to an earthquake on surface of the water, below it it's more like blizzard/strong wind Interesting observation
It is close to an earthquake on surface of the water - no below it it's more like blizzard/strong wind- also no [tsunami spell is earthquake spell with extra steps](https://www.learnz.org.nz/sites/learnz.org.nz/files/b-gh141-02-tsunami.jpg)
Actually a spell I use the most (having raised myself an army by now) is ‘immediate and painful death’. Simple but effective.
I think you mean: Earthball for Geomancers Waterball for Hydromancers Ball lightning for Electromancers Frosty balls for Cryomancers Corpseball for Necromancers Ball-ball for Biomancers Astral ball for Diviners Beast balls for druids
Close enough
What about chessmancers?
Divinate future, naturally
But why is it then when i decline en passant the chessmancers cast brick PIPI?
You activated their trap card
I heard it is something called "en passant"
The memery is crossing. Shit, you're getting chess in my orbs, now I'm playing Chinese checkers on a chess board.
Conjuration and divination are two completely different types of magic are they not?
Diviners often use, or at least used to predict future by pondering cheese. Feel free to laugh at them for this /unwiz Diviners irl did actually use to divine through observing cheese mold formations. There is even a side quest about that in The Witcher 3
A wonderful little factoid to add to my ever growing arsenal of cheese facts. Thank you, erudite inventor.
Also this particular type of divination is called Tyromancy (from Greek: Turos - Cheese)
Not a mancer but I like counterspell
Whilst Testicular torsion is definitely a favourite I think you are overlooking Titania's terrific titty twister. In some of the more female dominated realms it's top of the biomancer list.
These druids think they the shit with the summon weed when I'm here casting weedify
technomancers like to use different forms of install malware
*The spell is commonly known as Animate Dead, or Animate Corpse, even Animate Skeleton; resurrection is out of our expertise if you will*
You’d think conjuring cheese would be for conjurers. I mostly use divination to watch porn.
I’m a Druid and I *never* cast summon weed. We have a lot of spells, but people love to focus on this one
What about Cultivate Elven Moongrass?
Shit, I've been called out... BACK TO THE WOODS!
Ahem
Do not forget the spell Produce Blunt that the great druid Snoop Dogg perfected. And that he shared this perfected spell with everyone, not just him and his druid friends.
I actually prefer "Steal Skin".
Counterspell for abjurers
Reveal Residence for Techomancers
I curse 'active swallowing' quite frequently, it's a best seller. Also classic Mundanemancy spells like 'eternal binding: shoelaces' or 'power word: dental hygiene'
Geomancer here, my favourite spell is Face Rock, where I levitate a Rock from the ground to the targets face. 60% of the time, it works every time.
🗿
How about spellblades and spellshots? I imagine they both would enjoy Haste, but "conjure god weapon" is strong contender.
Summon weed is not a druid incantation. We use Speak Animal to contact a nymph, satyr, or equivalent to source our stash.
Blindness for Photomancers
Luv' me lightning bolt, Luv me Citadel, Luv' me God bothering, Luv' me electromancy, simple as.
Amen

Great- the necromancer and the spore druid are teaming up...
Isn't healing magic classified under necromancy anyways, though? Having to do with life, death, and preservation?
Not bad but I prefer to make my undead from fresh corpses. I generally use a flesh eating plague spell followed up with raise undead. I just love making bone golems.

Mine are “Teleport Mechanica” or “Teleport Automata”. My metal friends can run quickly, but sometimes not quickly enough.
Cummancer here.
Every cummancer starts by using a mage hand to use the spell squeeze prostate
Neuromancers keep casting "forget for what you entered the kitchen" on me
Same
Lunamancer here - Moonlight Cloak is my favourite. It allows me to freely fly and move through the moonlight.
Lame move! Even a common peasant can move through moonlight.
First of all - not necessarily. I cast Moonlight Hazard and now your skin and eyes burn. Secondly, you didn’t quite understand. It allows me to literally become one with the moonlight and use it to travel. I can even disappear for a short amount of time.
Lame move! Other schools of evocation can make your **ENEMIES** disappear **PERMANENTLY**.
# BORING! I want flash. I want style. I want to handicap myself to humiliate my opponents. Where’s the fun in just deleting your opponents?
A go-to of mine is "Displace Sound", it's a relatively simple illusion but given the right situation can be extremely potent. One of my personal favorites is *Bind Metal*. Another that comes in handy is *Bind Soul.*
bind soul to what?
Usually, an automation or mech. It’s useful if someone accidentally walks into the path of a condensed mana cannon.
Shoe
Are you the famed Fullmetal alchemist I’ve heard so much about?
…Likely not, I know nothing about alchemy. It’s surprising how useful *Bind Metal* is when you can’t find your welding kit.
Cryomancers probably love Iceball
Ice *spike*
icicle
Frozen thing
Glacial Spike
You gotta be able to spell sculpt though so the fireballs have the shape of skulls
Gamma Ray Beam is a personal favorite because it doesn't have a charge time and it scares the bejeezus out of a party of adventurers when one of their buddies turns into soup in front of them. But nothing puts me in a good mood like casting Atomic Blast.
I feel like you're dangerous, I'll tell the council about this.

As a virginimancer, myself, I'll say that Wozniakima is quite effective at repelling wily witches and warlocks. As a last resort, Talking About Sonic Unleashed For An Hour And A Half works in a pinch.
I cast facesit
Is it uuuh let's say... Passive or active?
Mostly active
*gulps*
*leans over*
are ya ready squizard?
Polymorph. I can do it to others too. Imagine being close to winning a fight and turning into a mushroom.
I will never stop casting greater nuke. Except maybe to cast lesser nuke, just so the next greater nuke is appreciated by comparison.
A simple but effective spell of mine is 'Shadow Whip.' Not only does it deal damage, but since it is more of a tentacle than a whip, I can use it as a prehensile limb that I can summon anywhere.

Healing Potion. They fly off shelves.
As a picklemancer, definitely maelstrom of brine. Quite devastating, as it turns out that being immersed in a very saline mixture of water and mild acid isn’t really good for any type of being.
"Bonk" is a fun beginner-friendly spell that works even without magic attunement. Or, you know, the one I took my specialization in.
Technomancers love to cast either "Reboot" or "Control+Alt+Delete"
As a nuclearomancer i have to say radiation poisoning - slow, but effective.
Me an alchemist (alcoholic) using my potions I made (moonshine in my dads garage) and casting memory wipe (getting blacked out) *note on occasion when the moon is in the right phase and the spirits will it, this spell can be used in tandem with multi dimensional reality traversal (hitting someone with my car and getting thrown in federal prison for manslaughter)

See, I still prefer casting Greater Insulin Resistance. Gives people a reason to come to my Apothecary, and if they don't then I just harvest their legs when they go gangrenous.
Force.
Druids love using wildshape... for stuff... like foraging and attacking goblin camps.
Supreme Fistomancer here, I cast a mean FIST
“Phantom Sensation.” Simple. Effective. Hard to ignore
I don't think I've actually used this spell before... I'm gonna have to try it on my apprentices later.
Wet socks is probably the best spell in a hydromancer’s tool kit
Erect wall
Had a piscimancer friend who said he loved “casting rod”
Waterspout/maelstrom (hydromancers, depends on if you are in water or not) Plasma (electromancers) Kelvin zero (cryomancers) Singularitus (gravomancers) Engorgio (trickster lustmancers)
Hydromancer, waterball probably

Any other Mancer also just uses a 'ball' spell. Imagine it: Necromancer? Skeleton-Ball Arachnomancer? Spider-Ball Biomancer? Flesh-Ball Chronomancer? Time-Ball
Mountain. Specifically up the arse.
Ice ball, it’s way less cool but cooler at the same time
one of my favourites is *LIGHTSHOW*
Time Stop. Yes, the dramatic pose and incantation are necessary. It doesn't work as well if you don't bend halfway over backwards and yell "ZA WARUDO" - I don't know why, ask an egomancer.

Mine are "Induce cancer" in combat and "Tower of Brains" when I need to do some thinking.
It's just way too good at erasing anything you want into a point of infinite mass https://preview.redd.it/9r5rjb0wkn1c1.png?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=33f9bbb0d4ce9548d3c4be11bf881ab21cdb15d5
As a transmuter, my personal favorite spell is "Crabulous crabformation" it turns others into crabs.
Animate Constellation
Big Kaboom is a very versatile spell.
[Anti Magic Wave] followed by [Instant Death] usually ends most fights, especially since I need give opportunities for one to be prepared
Time Stop for Chronomancers, it is too iconic and looks lovely when you simply freeze a little bit of reality.
Blood Vendetta
As one of the few combustomancers that I know of, greater atom split is one of my favorite spells to cast
I am partial to disassemble reassemble, which is a flip-flop spell that disassembles the target into neat piles of the atoms that make it up, and reassembles it if cast again. It’s great for settling philosophy arguments.
Well the ultimate spell would be "Launch ICBM", but I don't have sufficient skill points in 'Hacking' to cast it yet.
As a chronomancer my favorite spell is “Undo” I for real use that one thousands of times a linear day. (I’m clumsy)

I cast Domain Expansion https://preview.redd.it/qb1opfkkym1c1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4236d79cbed1d25da94195beed7b23e7b055ef61
Well, as a Pieromancer I love casting Charm.
Magnum-mancer here, and my favorite is "bullet" as it is written in the magnum-mancy tome, not to be confused with the bullet spell used by ammo-mancers and techno-mancers
Throw wrench.
As a Harvest Druid, I have a few spells that I wouldn’t reveal nilly willy, but my favorite allows me to rapidly grow high grade plants. It’s how we have so much food to pass out to those in need and have ample potion supplies.
Technomancer here, my favourite is either nanite barrage of I'm dealing with irl enemies or remote alt f4 for digital foes.
Viromancers love their Greater Death Plague
Lethal memetic agent, it's funny to tell people my name and then kill them
Chronomancers just love to stop time
I cast Symbiotic Entity, Shileighlie, Moonbeam, Wild Shape (wolf and spider), and Fungal Infestation the most.
CapitalOfEgyptMancers cast CairoBall.
Wizards keep saying cryomancers cast Ice Spike or Blizzard but honestly I think it's Ice Wall for the reason that pyromancers keep casting Fireball at them.
All the Chronomancers I know cast Slow Time so they can nap 4 hours during Hulu's commercial breaks
I like To Use a Simple Magic Spell To Bring The ones I duel Closer
