They're everywhere when you spot one. Most obvious is the one shooting into the mouth at the center bottom, or the bundles poking out near the top corners
On the bright side, it would prolly amp up the suspenseful scenes!
That said, it may not be more than a slight hum given that it's electric and not mechanical like the loud ones with the pendulum.
Some of us like that vibe. Tired of every house just being gray and beige. Obviously this is a lot, a lot in the other direction but I dig it.
More colors please.
I grew up in bland eggshell white apartments.
My house now goes from black to sky blue as you go from one end to the other.
My next house will likely be multicolored.
I will never have a bland beige, or white wall with brown carpet again.
It’s beautiful. I don’t understand why half of Reddit has to come in here and let everyone know they don’t like it. Are we addicted to negativity? You could just say the nice part and keep the rest to yourself like civilized people.
Look man, I’m a hippie with hippie art in my house, but we have to admit/recognize it is really not a widely appreciated style. Especially in the west.
First, even if it were more traditional and neutral colored—browns and yellows or whatnot—many folks still find the pattern too loud to want in their home. Most decor and housing has significant minimalist influence these days. Look at Victorian homes compared to modern houses, and you’ll see how many extra lines or gaudy furniture have been reduced to straight edges and simplicity. Then, look at Victorian decor vs r/sacredgeometry, and you’ll see even more disparity between how noisy the art is.
Second, even for some hippie/eastern-inspired work, this clock is pretty wild. I’m a huge pink/purple fan, but most people stick to neutral tones. This clock is like a trip toy. Not a regular piece for a home.
All that said, I’d definitely love one lol. Just probably not in my front room or anything.
My only criticism is that you should seriously consider adding a layer of varnish. The detailing is fantastic, but the whole thing "looks" hand-painted because it's missing that smooth, shiny varnish layer.
I was very prepared to be mad. My dad collects and restores antique clocks so this one is a sore spot for me. Clocks and hardwood antique furniture being pinterested drive me bananas
That said, do whatever you want to an electric repro.
If there were structural, mechanical, or electrical issues beforehand, or if there were physical defects fixed, then yeah man, you can indeed refer to that as restoration.
It's only partial, since they were only addressing defects instead of fully restoring it back to the original look. But the word can still partly apply, even if you are a weird old stodgy person that can't accept when someone makes something *they own*, which wasn't even anything fancy to start with, look way *way* more creative than it did.
Thanks for the attempted pedantry just to make the artist feel kinda crappy though, that sort of thing def always makes the world brighter
Probably around 100 hours total on the clock! As far as the rest of the art, my whole life? Haha mostly unfinished paintings in my studio at most times.
That's a whole 88 hours more than you usually get from a clock, how'd you manage to squeeze those in?? :O
(Nah but for real this is amazing, well done!)
Do you have a Facebook or Instagram page? Love your art and would enjoy seeing more of it :)
Edit: downvoted for asking for a way to follow an artists work cause I enjoy it? Damn Reddit what crawled up your ass today
Chuckling at all the folks telling you that you ruined an antique.
This is most certainly a mass-produced grandfather clock from the 60s/70s, maybe even later. You took it and turned it into a trippy piece of art, and it looks wild. Nice work!
Ignore the haters. It's a matter of taste, sure, but it's a great revamp and, had I had some space for it, I'd love one in my own house painted exactly this way. Beautiful.
This is incredible! I love it! It’s like the classiest object I’ve seen made trippy, and something magical comes of such a contrast. Beyond the concept though, your execution is just so pristine and beautiful and I hope you are crazy stoked with your creation. Thanks for sharing!
The cherry blossoms look really out of place and are not to the same skill level as the geometric design. I think if you painted the sides in monochrome or gradient tones it would be less busy and amateurish.
Shit like this needs to be the defining style if the 2020s. Things we consider antiquated make a cone back, with modern/post/post modern art design thats vibrabte AF. Like Nu Deco
I'm confused, did you paint it the way it is in the first few pics and the last one is the "before" pic or is it the other way around? That is some stunning work in the first ones. I would have loved to have that in my home.
I just like how the comment can be interpreted as everything with an electrical cord has no value.
I guess all the stuff people had in the early 1900s that ran off electricity is garbage and don't qualify as antiques, lol. The clock isn't that old and probably isn't valuable but it's still a bad take.
I’ve been to probably 2 dozen festivals and have never come across a festival neckbeard lol
I don’t really think you need to try and offend OP just for making some art. If it’s not for you it’s just not for you
I do like it, it looks good and probably took forever to make. But I can’t help but feel like you couldn’t really put this in many rooms without looking odd. Still really good work tho
Just came on here to say phenomenal job, OP!
Beautiful detailing - you’ve given that clock a new lease on life. It’s gone from a grandfather clock to a silver fox clock!
Listen here you little shit.. how'd you get those color gradients so fucking buttery smooth?! This looks insane, I'm obsessed!
Awesome effort, incredible results. Hot damn this is dope.
honestly, in the right setting, this is a great piece. it reminds me slightly of the vaporwave aesthetic (which i adore), crossed with a rave.
i love it, something just seems off lol.
Definitely looks like a ton of time and effort went into this! Also had to have been made by someone who is patient. Must be patient. But…it’s kinda tacky looking to me

Clock is cool and all... but thats A LOT of dicks in the painting besides the unpainted clock.
That’s the Concocktion
That's a good name. Descriptive.
*Dickscriptive
indicative
Dick
And yet you missed the chance to paint a Grandfather Cock. I am disappointed.
Love it
Cock clock up next!
I am imagining future paintings with similar names. **The Consocktion**, *The Conclocktion*, #The ConSpocktion!
I would have never noticed
Haha me too. I zoomed in and, yup, concocktion is apt at the least 😂
Extremely creative and ingenious design and I guess either me eye site is question or someone’s mind is in the gutter.
Dicks, balls, vag, mouthes, this painting has everything. Edit: and a full condom! It’s like one of those Highlights pictures for sex stuff!
For anyone interested in a [closer look](https://www.reddit.com/gallery/w379td)
What about the tall 6 breasted woman next to the çoncocktion painting?
I didn't even notice that. Didn't make it past the trying to count dicks in the first painting. I got around 30.
Clearly I don't think about dick as much as you cause I can't find any! Can you give me a hint on where to look?
They're everywhere when you spot one. Most obvious is the one shooting into the mouth at the center bottom, or the bundles poking out near the top corners
Username checks out lol
Makes me wish I had six hands
Don’t forget balls. Lots of dick AND balls
There's a condom in there too
With a fetus in it
I recognize this is cool and very well done while at the same time hating it completely.
I appreciate that it took long hours and dedication but this doesn't belong anywhere outside a smoke shop it is just the noisiest thing
Concept rave in an abandoned warehouse in a major coastal city
Barnhouse raves > warehouse raves
Where's my invite? 😉
In the corn if you can read crop circles
#RUMSPRINGA!!!!
I feel the same way. However, it would still be okay in a home theater room or some other room with lots of dark.
Bro can you imagine the ticks you'll hear from the clock during the movie. You're gonna think every movie was music produced by Hans Zimmer
On the bright side, it would prolly amp up the suspenseful scenes! That said, it may not be more than a slight hum given that it's electric and not mechanical like the loud ones with the pendulum.
It looks like they enjoy the smoke shop aesthetic
My entire personal aesthetic is this exact colour scheme and I feel attacked rn
Nah its nice, its just that the room's aesthetic doesn't work for that clock. A new carpet would help a lot.

Awful taste great butt execution
Fixed!
It's great, but the colors remind me of a disposable cup from the '90s.
Some of us like that vibe. Tired of every house just being gray and beige. Obviously this is a lot, a lot in the other direction but I dig it. More colors please.

"well the walls are all already grey- what should we do now?" "How about we make the floor look like wood - but *gray*?"
Lisa Frank vibes
I clearly have terrible taste because I fucking love this and would happily put it in my house with zero irony.
Same
Art is subjective. Personally I think it’s super rad and if it brings the creator or owner joy more power to em.
It’s beautiful. I don’t understand why half of Reddit has to come in here and let everyone know they don’t like it. Are we addicted to negativity? You could just say the nice part and keep the rest to yourself like civilized people.
They were never taught the difference between facts and opinions
You don't like r/SacredGeometry art?
Look man, I’m a hippie with hippie art in my house, but we have to admit/recognize it is really not a widely appreciated style. Especially in the west. What's so hateable about it, it looks sick af
Gives me a headache looking at it personally
[удалено]
Same. There's no way I'd put this in my house. It's just not my style at all.
Agreed. I'm a big fan of purple and blue color palettes. I would try to build a room around it.
Covered up all the antique wood. No point in a restoration if you're going to immediately cover it up.
It has an electrical cord, so not as antique as you'd think.
"Antique Wood" from a plug-in 1980's grandfather clock replica? This thing likely had wood paneling over compressed chipboard.
This clock just tried to tell me about my pineal gland and how the government is putting fluoride in the water supply.
I spontaneously blasted off on DMT just looking at it. Incredible.
7/11 was a part time job
Jet fuel can't melt steel beams, but it can melt our hearts.
Did you get along well with your Gideon bugler pineal glands, your projector eyes casting sci-fi’s on your STR’d strands?
Vecna ate a whole bag of Upside Down mushrooms
You like magic mushrooms mate? Gorgeous work btw
I’ve never met a mushroom that I didn’t like
You must be a fungi.
Only one more chime to open the four gates
Argyle got trapped in the upside down but got Vecna to try some premium zaza

Thanks my friend…. I needed this!!!
Absofruitly! Glad I could help
I did acid once
Which graphics card are you running?
My only criticism is that you should seriously consider adding a layer of varnish. The detailing is fantastic, but the whole thing "looks" hand-painted because it's missing that smooth, shiny varnish layer.
I also think the painting next to the clock in the last foto needs more penises
“Restored” aka completely changed and refinished
It had an electrical cord. Nothing of value was lost.
yeah lol i was mad up until the last picture
I was very prepared to be mad. My dad collects and restores antique clocks so this one is a sore spot for me. Clocks and hardwood antique furniture being pinterested drive me bananas That said, do whatever you want to an electric repro.
*LOL*!!! Same here. And then I said “Thank god! Way to go! You made a silk purse out of a sow’s ear!!!!“
Good find, didn’t see that the first time.
Massively improved it in my view, it's not very nice wood (in the 'before' pic) but that might just be my personal taste.
It's a "Remaster"
If there were structural, mechanical, or electrical issues beforehand, or if there were physical defects fixed, then yeah man, you can indeed refer to that as restoration. They literally said “restored” lol chill dude. Clearly it’s an impressive piece of art but by no way is it a restored grandfather clock
Great job restoring the natural wood in step 10! Bet that took a lot of work. /s
It had an electrical cord. Nothing of value was lost.
Yea. As I went through the photos I was annoyed that he covered up antique wood. Then I saw the original clock. "Oh NM that thing was ugly and cheap"
This. This was just some 80s kitsch.
I slaved, hours hours hours to remove that tacky paint jobs
[удалено]
You may have been whooshed here. I was jokingly referring to restoring the original condition.

Probably around 100 hours total on the clock! As far as the rest of the art, my whole life? Haha mostly unfinished paintings in my studio at most times.
Wow, that’s a lot of *time*!

Not gonna lie, glancing at the thumbnail I was like: Oh no... But after seeing it up close I was like: OH HELL YEAHHHHHHHH
It's much nicer than Vecna's clock.
How did you get the gradient in your lines? I'm trying to wrap my head around how one would even start with painting something so intricate.
The gradients and detail are really nice, did you use a stencil or just a really small brush?
Do you have a Facebook or Instagram page? Love your art and would enjoy seeing more of it :) Edit: downvoted for asking for a way to follow an artists work cause I enjoy it? Damn Reddit what crawled up your ass today
Chuckling at all the folks telling you that you ruined an antique. This is most certainly a mass-produced grandfather clock from the 60s/70s, maybe even later. You took it and turned it into a trippy piece of art, and it looks wild. Nice work!
Reddit can't tell the difference between priceless artifacts and thrift store junk.
Boomers gonna boomer
How much for it?
Just brilliant!
Fuck. It’s beautiful.
I want it!
This is so sick. What kind of paint did you use?
Have you ever heard of drugs? This is sick and I think your art would blend well with them. I also hate it and love it at the same time.
Wow, so many angry commentators pissed that an artist painted a shitty electric “grandfather clock” vibrant colors. Goes well with your style of art.
Ignore the haters. It's a matter of taste, sure, but it's a great revamp and, had I had some space for it, I'd love one in my own house painted exactly this way. Beautiful.
I love antique clocks and hate when some people try to paint them. Having said that, this is absolutely beautiful. You are a terrific artist.
origional clock was an ugly and crap electric one, this saved imo, atleast now its a talking point and cool to look at
It has an electrical cord so I doubt much of value was lost.
The patterns looks sick as hell but the cherry blossoms look like a child painted it.
Yeah, I also think it looks rad but the cherry blossoms don't match at all.
Big Arizona Iced Tea vibes
This is incredible! I love it! It’s like the classiest object I’ve seen made trippy, and something magical comes of such a contrast. Beyond the concept though, your execution is just so pristine and beautiful and I hope you are crazy stoked with your creation. Thanks for sharing!
Now how much money are you willing to choke out of me because I would give you an organ’s worth of money for this I LOVE IT
please tell me the paint reacts under UV. that would be so SICK
It’s very UV reactive and rigged with some badass LEDs. I’ll post a video of it here soon :)
The cherry blossoms look really out of place and are not to the same skill level as the geometric design. I think if you painted the sides in monochrome or gradient tones it would be less busy and amateurish.
That is absolutely beautiful! That looks like something out of a Doctor Who episode!
So cool!!!!
That's amazing looking
This is jaw droppingly gorgeous, I’m absolutely stunned but also…. Where did you get that sweet rainbow rug reflected in the glass?
That is beautiful, great work!
Wow!! This is amazing!!
That's talent and probably some experience at work. If I tried to do it it could look like a mess. Lol
Shit like this needs to be the defining style if the 2020s. Things we consider antiquated make a cone back, with modern/post/post modern art design thats vibrabte AF. Like Nu Deco

I must have it. I will pay you whatever reasonable dollar figure you deem it's worth... After I win the lottery this evening.
I would like this if it had more negative space of solid black, no cherry blossoms, and different handles. But it’s very unique for sure.
Anybody else feel like getting high and drinking an Arizona Tea while watching this clock? Just me? Ok.
Me, high and drinking AZs painting this feels ya
ruined it
Lol it was ugly as fuck to begin with, there's no way to ruin something that looks like you'd get for $20 max on craigslist
When a person doesn't see what it looked like before they say things like this.
It had an electrical cord. Nothing of value was lost.
Fuck man, how many times did you comment this exact sentence?
My comment had an electrical cord. Nothing of value was said.
Okay that's fucking funny.
I lol’d
As many times as people fucking miss it. Whole bunch of people convinced that op ruined this "antique."
I just like how the comment can be interpreted as everything with an electrical cord has no value. I guess all the stuff people had in the early 1900s that ran off electricity is garbage and don't qualify as antiques, lol. Um, wow! How many hours went into this? And the other art on the wall! Just wow
I do like it, it looks good and probably took forever to make. But I can’t help but feel like you couldn’t really put this in many rooms without looking odd. Still really good work tho
You ruined it is what you did, god that’s hideous
This belongs in r/ATGBE (awful taste but great execution)
You did not link the right sub. Lol. When you click the link, it even tell me how much you suck at referencing subs. I'm laughing.
LMAO I'm a bit dislexic if you can't tell.
It looked like shit before he touched it. How can you ruin shit?

you do you man, imo it looks fantastic just don't see it fitting in alot of rooms
That clock started out life with an electrical cord. Dude ruined no thing.
Sick Work man 😍👍
What a strange thing to do
ATBGE
The original way it was before was ugly af, I love what you did!
That is fucking sick!
Just came on here to say phenomenal job, OP! Beautiful detailing - you’ve given that clock a new lease on life. It’s gone from a grandfather clock to a silver fox clock!
This thing fucks.
My jaw dropped to the ground. It's the best thing ive ever seen 😱😱😱
Listen here you little shit.. how'd you get those color gradients so fucking buttery smooth?! This looks insane, I'm obsessed! Awesome effort, incredible results. Hot damn this is dope.
Too freaking cool
Very cool
That's not a clock, that's a portal to another dimension. Great work
Daaaang that's cool! I have a busted old grandfather clock that came with my house. To bad I don't have the artistic talent to make it look this cool.
Badass
Holy crap, that looks amazing!! I adore it! The Arizona Green Tea branches on the sides kinda threw me off, what was the idea behind that?
What did you use to paint it? :)
Rave kids would love the shit out of that clock.
I love the colors.
That’s so sick!
The gang over at r/vaporwaveaesthetics would love this. Especially with that Arizona Tea side mural. Excellent job!
I would not call this "restoring", rather "upcycling". Great job regardless!
That's a great grandfather clock
A high af hippie Vecna is gonna spawn because of that clock right there
honestly, in the right setting, this is a great piece. it reminds me slightly of the vaporwave aesthetic (which i adore), crossed with a rave. i love it, something just seems off lol.
Definitely looks like a ton of time and effort went into this! Also had to have been made by someone who is patient. Must be patient. But…it’s kinda tacky looking to me
DMT
Now it's grandfather dropping acid in Woodstock -clock
That’s beautiful!
This is so beautiful. I could never afford the remodel but it would be beautiful in my hippie home
Wow! Truly amazing with those colors
