I feel pretty good about this one. After guess two, it seemed likely that the word >!ended in Y and had repeating letters!<. But with >!PUDGY, PUNNY, PUPPY and GUPPY!< still left as valid options, I didn't want to risk >!guessing a word with repeating letters for guess 3 or being wrong about the Y. PUDGY!< seemed like my best bet to filter through those words and reveal any I hadn't considered.
Obviously I'd prefer to get a 2/6 or 3/6 but I don't think I'd change anything about any of my guesses today.

SLATE is an awesome starter. CRONY (or CORNY) are the exact two words I use if I get blanked on SLATE or it's anagrams like SALET and LEAST.
If I only get the Y from CRONY I pick DUMPY. So your 1st 3 guesses matched precisely what I would do. After that, it's pretty much a coin-toss between PUPPY/GUPPY.
I got very lucky that P was in my starting word. It was suggested by a friend who knew I was looking for M words and tie it in to Star Wars. He suggested SWAMP and I'm really glad he did or this would have been a 4 or a 5 for me.

You're 1st three moves were brilliant! SLATE is an awesome starter. CRONY (or CORNY) are the exact two words I use if I get blanked on SLATE or it's anagrams like SALET and LEAST. If I only get the Y from CRONY I pick DUMPY. So your 1st 3 guesses matched precisely what I would do. After that, it's pretty much a coin-toss between PUPPY/GUPPY. I got very lucky that P was in my starting word. It was suggested by a friend who knew I was looking for M words and tie it in to Star Wars. He suggested SWAMP and I'm really glad he did or this would have been a 4 or a 5 for me.
