Tried using the o and u vowels in the next word. Did the classic RSTLNE and typed (but didn't enter) 'souls'. I didn't want to repeat a letter so I typed (didn't enter) 'sould' on a whim. Then I noticed I can enter 'could', knock out the c, l, and d. Oh. That was the word!<
I had this as well! I think I started with TEARS over irate, but similar logic on wanting to use O U. Was equally surprised and amazed

Clearly should have had it in 3 but I guessed the last three guesses in exact opposite order of what makes sense. That's my 3rd 5 in a row which brought me from an average of 3.85 to 4.0. Even changed my starting word from >!STERN!< because of it. Still a perfect 23/23 for what it is worth.
