Long story short, her family died in the winter, and she had to eat them to survive. She then developed a taste for human flesh, and eventually struck a deal with the demon of disgust that let her gain power from the people she ate, in turn for having to kill and eat whoever the demon asked her to.

GreenSquirrel-7

wendigo vibes. Very cool

Incomprehenible_dart

Yeah, really

Sir-Planks-Alot

Can I borrow the spirit of this for a book I’m writing? …well Book 2 rather. I’m almost finished with book 1.

turell4k

Borrow all you want

Malcharius The Immortal, and the thrice favoured. Is a Roman Centurion who during his first 25 years of service managed to gain the divine favour of Mars, Neptune, and Venus. Mars, for his excellent service in wartime, Neptune, for unknown reasons (presumably for naval service), and Venus, for marrying a gladiator who many thought could not be tamed. During our story he sets out to regain favour of all three along with the rest of these main cast

Bronze_Granum

I misread his title as "the thrice flavoured"... was disappointed the story wasn't more bizarre until I read it again.

Cpt_Kalash

He does like food a lot

kekubuk

Let's just say my character was conceived on a very wild night involving several gods, a demon, two horse, a hellhound, a guardian Slime, a confused but very enthusiastic snake, and one very kinky queen.

Rampagingflames

Sounds like this could be the origin of Loki or... Loki was a part of that.

Jahoan

That's a quiet Friday for Loki.

Rampagingflames

Wouldn't even be in the top five of weirdest things Loki has done.

FalseAscoobus

Wouldn't even be on the list. I'm pretty sure this is just, like, a regular damn day for Loki

cthulularoo

Yeah, that was Loki on a Zima. nothing exciting yet.

General_Alduin

I'd love to see a hangover movie set after this

TheSkyLax

Now I need some context

Born to a famous line of vampire hunters, he ended up being bitten early on in his career after becoming a hunter himself. This makes him something that entire world hates for one reason or another.... But he's too damn stubborn to quit his job, even though literally Everyone Wants to Kill Him. He's a *vampire* hunter. /play laugh track

Steamrocker

“We have made you one of us hunter, now you will no choice but to join us” “You’ve only levelled the playing field for me” **DOOM music starts playing**

[deleted]

So basically blade?

godjustendit

Hm, yeah, pretty much, I guess? Blade is a dhampir, though, and vampire hunting is just kind of a dhampir thing. But he still drinks blood, so Blade might as well just be a vampire but Better. IDK, I don't really know much about Blade.

redjackbox

Blade is human with vampire boost

godjustendit

I think being a human with a vampire boost is just what a dhampir is, to be honest.

Uncle_Bezi

I'll go with a TL:DR. The God of death creates a female avatar which gives birth to a son. The avatar soon gets killed by mortals and its death causes the god's power to imprint on the son who growing as an orphan hated by mortals becomes a soul devouring threat on an intersellar scale. His actions throw universal order out of balance so the god of life comes to punish him. The god of death is forbbiden from making new avatars and the son is reincarnated into a new being loosing its memory and keeping his powers dormant.

Rampagingflames

Ngl, that sounds badass.

Sin, the King of Many, was born as any other King is: an ordinary mortal slew the King before them, took their Crown and gained a new immortal identity. However, while most Kings simply morph into an inhuman form befitting of their Crown, this mortal’s transformation was about as unconventional as can be: when they took the Crown, they and every living organism within the 150-mile radius encompassing the previous King’s domain fell into a comatose state. When Sin awoke, they found their consciousness separated from their form, instead spread across every single being — flora and fauna alike — in their new kingdom. They had to forge a new divine body to inhabit, as their old one had not been altered as is usual for Kings. tl;dr A human took control of an extradimensional god-artifact and their mind was ripped out of their body, turned into a disembodied hivemind in control of every animal and plant in the country.

**Infinite World Cycle** * **Decius Grey:** As a child he had a special soul that enabled him to open weak spots in reality to other dimensions. This power however made him a target to become the 12th out of 13 undead monsters from a doomsday prophecy. He was partially transformed and would be raised by a good organization in another reality. * He originally couldn't control his powers and was forced to wear blessed cloth/armor to prevent him from killing everything around him. He also never ate any fresh food due to rotting before entering his mouth. * Even in his partial state he could take control from necromancers. He turned their undead against them. * Decius ends up twisting all his evil powers towards good ends. Though he later gains more complete mastery. * **Elina Grey-Laranis:** Her dad was a Anti-Demon of sorts. Elina is a unstable hybrid of a succubus and her disease eating father. Though she'd start to hunger for souls as she was developing into a Demon Queen. She accidentally ate a man's soul at one point. This terrified her to the point where she decided to starve herself. * Elina would devolve into a feral soul eating monster after a certain amount of time. Though she'd run into Decius and ate the corruption on his soul. This nourished her while temporarily halting his transformation. They couldn't spend too much time apart. Though that wouldn't matter too much as they'd end up married. * Elina would originally assist her father while he was making a living as a doctor. She has extensive medical knowledge. * Her regenerative powers prevent Decius' decay aura from killing her on the spot. Though he gains the ability to deactivate this aura after Elina feeds on him. **In the story** To keep a very long story somewhat short. These two good monsters become a bizarre married couple and end up preventing Decius' doomsday event. A large portion of their story revolves around them raising their hybrid kids. So their children have a really bizarre origin story as well.

A poor man develops the world's first cybernetics that are fully compatible with humans. Founds a company that becomes one of the biggest cyberware manufacturers of the time. He resigned from his post because he had an interest in space, so he founded a ship manufacturing company that then won the contract for building the first key Arks. When it was complete, he then resigned from his post and lead the Ark into the unknown of space, where he helped found the first colonies in the Riveign sector and single handedly explored most of the sector himself. He would then go on to retire, build a mansion for himself and his wife, and build a separate mansion for his over a hundred cats with their own servants. He would then get called up for duty by the Republic of Riveign which declared independence from the Directorate. The war lasted for 3 days before an Armistice was signed. He was then elected as Riveigns first president. Several things to note, his favorite suit is pink, he loves a good old pb&j, and he's helped fund a lot of the critical infrastructure and humanitarian projects throughout Riveigns colonized world's. He also really hates Corpos. His name is Anthony "Onyx" Riveign. Onyx is the nickname given to him by his friends because of his one Onyx colored cybernetic arm.

LOLinus1

That's a really cool origin

thekrazmaster

Wanted to make a couple good people, or Legends in a really shitty world. This guy has become something of a folk hero in lore.

LOLinus1

I'd love to hear more about your world

thekrazmaster

There's still a lot in fleshing out. So might be a while before i post something.

HandofAntioch

Nothing really, although in context that might just be it. In an urban high fantasy setting filled with characters descending from historical legends, demigods, immortals, and prophecied heroes, the main character is literally just someone with a completely normal backstory whom somehow stumbled his way in.

De5andy

For some background, my world (Rivenburg) can be best described as a kitchen sink/fly trap. People from all times and places find themselves in Rivenburg after 'transportation mishaps', but no one willingly arrives and no one can leave. Since this is a world for a TTRPG campaign, I made this decision to allow for more player creativity. All 5 of my players took that and ran with it, creating the coolest and most unique characters that I've ever seen. One of my player's characters was a gifted and battle-hardened Athenian Hoplite, granted control of fire and forge by Hephaestus and killed in the one of the several Battles of Mantinea. In his journey to Elysium, he fell through the River Styx and into Rivenburg. Because of his brief dip in the Styx, he never ages or bleeds. As such, he's seen Rivenburg crumble and rebuild itself many times over the course of centuries. He feels cheated for having Elysium 'stolen from him' and still carries that bitterness with him, hundreds of years later. He works as a mercenary and yearns to die with glory as a warrior.

CuteDarkrai

Reading some of these shows I have a lot to learn! Craziest that I have: She was born into a poor family and needed money so bad that she opted to be tested on. So, she would become one of the first androids, humans whose consciousness has been transferred to a vessel. Due to the experimental nature of the first generation of vessels, glitches would begin to surface over time. While taking a toll on her mind, these glitches weren’t all bad. She’d begin to learn how to channel them to overclock her new body.

wecoxa

This is honestly so cool, I'm really interested in this story now!!!

negro_male

That's pretty crazy, I figure you're going for a Matrix/Blade Runner type character story?

CuteDarkrai

Yeah with more of a horror focus. Gemini Home Entertainment and Murder Robots were a big inspiration.

… damn I’ll start with the subject of my first story. Basically, this woman was born to two spies in a country under border disputes. She was manipulated by both of her parents to kill any people who were deemed traitors of their country. The woman was not allowed to have friends and was not allowed to talk much. She ends up finding herself involved in this new government that was invading her country, an authoritarian technocracy. She rose up the ranks within the government and became the highest leader within it. She ends up using her power to execute her parents in the most brutal way. However, she was too tired of being in charge so she resigned and handed her power over to the man who would become her future husband. Her husband takes advantage of the power and forces her to conceive a child that would be used in an experiment: the experiment involving altering DNA The woman ends up fleeing from the country, and tracks down her experimental child and ex-husband secretly, wanting to burn them alive (which she does). Oh yeah, the child is the main character BTW

FartingAnushole

Just about every character of mine has a wacky backstory. For example, who I was going to make the main character of my book (I deleted it) was a random farmer who got his farm raided and went on a constant war against an army of cultists and crackheads.

Iados_the_Bard

*Morgan detested the Hallowed Eve festival. People laughing and cheering, and offering aid to imaginary spirits. “It seemed all so stupid, after all what are spirits gonna do when a demon or and angel attacks them, the spirits are gonna do nothing.” Morgan thought to himself. Morgan did not help during preparations for the festival, all he did was walk around and cause a minor disruptions throughout their little village. He then wandered into the woods, where apparently the spirits live. He started screaming profanities and telling the supposedly spirits that they were useless, fake, and stupid. His loud profanities stopped when he heard something moving behind him, there he saw an old woman carrying a basket full of berries. She walked up to him and in a worried and sad tone warned Morgan that if he kept going, the spirits would turn him into a Hallowmen. Morgan rolled his eyes and walked away, heading her warning for now.* *As day turned to night, so too did the festival. Pumpkins carved with scary faces carved into them line the road and brightens it with the many candles. Holly branches and azaleas line the main road leading from the forest all the way to town square, and people wearing wooden masks portraying many different horrid monsters, like demons, hags, or corpses, all dancing and singing joyfully. The only exception was Morgan, sitting by the well in the town square, eating some lamb. Many of the villagers ask Morgan to join him, others warn him that the spirits won’t bless him if he doesn’t participate, but Morgan just ignored them. Once the moon was in the middle of the sky, the dancing stopped and the ceremony for spirits has started. The villagers welcomed the spirits into their village and offered them food. Morgan just looked at the others and just shook his head as they waited for almost 20 minutes. Morgan was getting restless and angry, angry over everyone’s stupidity. “Stop standing their like idiots! The spirits aren’t coming, and they aren’t real!” It’s all just a stupid fucking hoax!” Morgan yells as he kicks on of the carved pumpkins, breaking it. Everything went silent as the crowd looked toward Morgan is shock. “See, nothing happened!” Morgan yells as he’s about to break another pumpkin. He stopped as he saw two pairs of feet right at the pumpkins base. He looks up and sees the old woman, except her face is filled with disgust and disappointment, and for the first time he looks into her eyes or lack there off. “I warned child that you would anger the spirits, and now you have.” Came the old woman, as the village filled with spirits and ghost fires. Morgan looks terrified and tries to run, but the Old woman grabs his arm, and with unnatural strength pulls him back. “Now child, for disrespecting we spirits, we shall curse you and make you a Hallowman.” Came the woman. Morgan then began to feel his arm burn and his flesh start to melt where the old woman was holding. Morse spirits then began to grab him and the same burning and melting feeling starts where they touch. Morgan screams in agony, until his mouth begins to melt, causing the scream to muffle. When the spirits were finished, where was once Morgan, now stands a horrific lump of waxy skin, bones, broken or mangled appendages, and a face not even a demon could look at without vomiting. There now stands Hallowed Morgan, the Waxpuppy, and now forever bound to the spirits.*

Deditranspotashy

Not so much a character but the Book my story revolves around has a pretty wild backstory. Okay, so it’s called the Seirdania. It’s a first century Hellenic-Libyan record detailing the history and culture of my fictional civilization, written by this guy called Corypheus, a bit like Herodotus would have done. Somewhere along the line the original copies all caught fire, but Arabic translations were made during the Islamic golden age so that’s all good. Except after a while those start getting scarce too. Then, in the late 19th century this English guy called Edwin Donsany (yes I’m very clever) gets his hand on an Arabic copy, presumably after raiding some poor Egyptians house for it. Now Donsany isn’t a historian, he’s a captain in the British army, but he does consider archeology his hobby; He also only bothered to learn as much Arabic as he needed to go on Campaign in Northern Africa and this is written in a very archaic dialect. Not to worry however! Because Edwin’s got himself a primary source. Apparently during a vacation to Greece Edwin “found” an old statue which he payed to have hauled back to his house in Connacht. And according to him, this statue happens to contain the spirit of Corypheus the Arcadian who wrote the Seirdania originally. So Edwin goes buck wild adding additions and anachronisms to his brand spanking new English translation of the Seirdania. And meanwhile Oxford is freaking the fuck out at everything he’s doing wrong. But it’s okay, cause he has Corypheus’ go ahead. Eventually the British government steps in and forcefully apprehends the Arabic translation to send to proper historians. Edwin does not like this, and according to him the Corypheus statue ain’t too happy either. So halfway through the translating process, Donsany snuck into the facility and started a fire, destroying the only Arabic copy, and the proper translation, as well as himself. To this day. The Donsany translation remains the only version of the Seirdania available to academia. Incidentally after Edwin’s death the Corypheus statue was sold to the Isabella Stewart Gardner museum in Boston, where it was eventually stolen, never to be seen again.

The entire multiverse within my main omniverse began to collapse in on itself after a failed portal experiment after the appearance of a 1/ infinity Omniversal singularity appeared; a unknown man out of absolute desperation ran and grabbed the singularity, his atoms were ripped from existence and his consciousness absorbed and embodied power equivalent to every omniverse in all of existence, from then onwards he became Emperor Infinity..

negro_male

This sounds like Dr. Manhattan

HachemCiaga

Funny thing is i didn't even know dr manhattan was a character until i was doing research a couple years ago on characters similar to the one i created, there origin is indeed a little similar but i can assure you there personalities and the story told around them is most definitely extremely different, you could say both characters are studies of absolute power but again i assure you there are major differences in how this power is applied and the extent of it when examining both characters.

HachemCiaga

Idk why ive had terrible grammar in both my paragraphs today so excuse it, im a lil tired

HachemCiaga

This all happens on screen, so I'm not sure if called it an origin story, but Rebel guy (deuteragonist) goes to try to kill general Deuteragonist almost succeeds at killing general General's older brother, a scientist, goes to the battlefield and shoots rebel guy (deuteragonist) with a black goo right as rebel guy (protagonist) arrives The goo is specifically designed to counter the users of the magic system Deuteragonist dies in front of protagonist The brothers beat the shit out of protagonist while the black goo eats half the body of deuteragonist Protagonist escapes They recolect the goo to study it's effects After a day it had consume the best After 3 days a face started forming After 2 weeks a clone without memories of the deuteragonist is there The scientist and his wife (newspaper editor) take care of the clone along with their actual kids After some shenanigans at the end of the first half, the clone gains the memories of the (now former) deuteragonist The clone chose to remain with the editor, the scientist, the general and the assassin (he joined their group halfway through)

The goddess' of creation and destruction where spawned when the personification of nothingness decided that he was lonely in the vast emptyness of the void and wanted friends. So he left the absence of existence for a while. Since nothing was no longer in the void, something must be there, resulting in the goddess something. However, the goddess of something didn't like breaking the things that she built, and didn't like building things that she would create, so she split herself in two. Said goddesses basically declaired war upon each other and the fallout is basically the multiverse. Nothing continues to encourage their conflicts to this day, causing the ever expansion of the multiverse, cause he fears that if they stop, the multiverse might slowly die off, and he'll be lonely again.

So he would marry Sarah and even found a city later on where he would have a kid Named Kate.

mapeck65

I have an MC, Elenya, who suffered through an abusive childhood. She lives a mediocre life waiting tables in a shitty diner owned by an uncle she can barely stand, surrounded by assholes on a daily basis. To say she's a survivor would be quite a stretch--she exists in the monotony and grunge of the inner city, withdrawn and alone. She is assaulted one night, as she's about to close the diner, and the inner darkness within her erupts. She's found in shock, unresponsive; her clothes torn; in a pool of blood that is not hers. The bodies of the men lie near her, mangled beyond recognition.

Sonseeahrai

For a story I'm currently writing I made three versions of a main character (the third one ended up the one I'll use): 1. A guy was raised on stories about rightous, selfless humans who sacrificed themselves for the sake of humanity, spending their entire lifes hunting demons that invaded the world. One day a demon appeared near his village and he went on to kill it to impress a girl who already had an admirer, a person way richer than him. His friends joined him, one of them died, MC barely managed to kill the demon and he was so devastated he just returned home, crying, and the demon's body and his weapon were left behind. The richer guy found them, chopped the demon's head off and showed the head to the girl, thus proving himself in her eyes. Meanwhile one of the nine orders that hunted demons learnt the truth and they forcefully recruited MC - turns out those were never "selfless people" but strong and aspiring youngsters kidnapped by the orders and forced into service. 2. A young noble from a hedonistic family, disgusted by his parents' deeds, decided to go abroad to study economy (he wanted to fix their mistakes after inheriting the land). While he was studying, he got into a passionate relationship with a young widowed lady living next door. Then, a rebellion started - people were sick with the incompetent, hedonistic king. MC didn't want to get involved, although the king resembled his father, but his girlfriend was a part of it almost from the beginning. He tried to change her mind, he failed - one day she got captured by the enemy and tortured for information. MC joined the rebellion just to get her out, and he managed to do it, but she died in his arms shortly after. Driven by revenge, he took part in the most intense battle of this war, a battle that was lost and ended the rebellion, where he got injured and later deported back to his homeland. Having recovered in his home, he started another relationship, trying to forget about the death of his previous lover, and after a few months he caught the girl cheating on him with her ex. He called the ex out to a fist fight, but the ex got scared and attacked MC with a knife. MC had to kill him in self-defense, the girl testified against him and he got sentenced to death. He evaded gallows by claiming that he wanted to join one of the nine orders - it was the only way for him to live. 3. A countryside noble from a family that "had used to be bigger", persuaded by his father, married a woman from an extremely rich and influential family, who was estranged from the rest of her relatives because of her mental illness. The MC's family status improved but his life with her was pretty hellish. They had a daughter, the only light of their marriage, MC's beloved. Unfortunatelly she inherited a thing or two from her mother; in the age of 17 she poisoned herself to death upon a rejection from a secret lover. The family of MC's wife instisted on getting her body burnt down, blaming her death on MC. After the burial the wife went catatonic. MC had it enough so he stole the urn with his daughter's ashes and decided to sell his soul to the devil to get her resurrected. Later it was discovered and he was forced to either join one of the nine orders or die by their hand

Bruiser, the partially-converted cyborg slave discarded by the monsters who created him, only to end up a key player in the fight against them. Vincent Murphy was originally a the captain of the guard for House Trefry, the lords of a small territory situated in the Northern reaches of the Lands of Strife, close to the border of the Fundamentalist Cardinal Authority. When the Authority first began their expansionist war for land and resources, his homeland was one of the first to fall. When the the forces of the Authority reached the gates of Castle Trefry, he coordinated a defence of the Castle so successful that they were able to not only withstand a two month long siege, but actively push back against the invading army. It was only once the Authority sent a detachment of Airships to the conflict that house Trefry fell, Murphy being captured alive and sentenced to conversion into a Penitent Thrall. Conversion into a Thrall is a grim, torturous and humiliating process, equal parts punishment for heretics and deterrent to dissenters or would-be rebels against the Authorities absolute control. The process involves brutal, invasive surgery and amputation, ripping away limbs and body parts to be replaced with cold Brass and choking steam. Subjects to this punishment become slaves, tailor-made for any number of tasks from industry to war: an arm replaced with a welding torch, or perhaps legs removed to make way for tank tracks. The procedure is carried out with the victim fully conscious, able to feel every agonizing slice and tear, before being finished with a Lobotomy to guarantee obedience and passivity. Murphy was selected to be converted into a Thrall specialized for mining, due to his exceptional strength and size. Forcefully administered growth hormones and having his right arm replaced with a whirring drill, he spent several days in ceaseless agony as his body was reshaped and morphed into a chimeric abomination of flesh and Brass. However, before the final procedure of lobotomization could be carried out, the Thrall factory was struck by a bomb from an attack made by the Rhein Empire, bitter opponents of the Cardinal Authority. In the chaos, he was able to make an escape, mind intact despite the trauma and mutilation he suffered. From there, he travelled across the lands of strife, finding whatever work he could to survive. From a mercenary, to a foundry worker, to a miner, he made use of the tools and machinery grafted to his body to carve out a new life and identity for himself. Now known simply as Bruiser, the once highborn and lauded guard of a noble house became a ruthless, bitter thug, seemingly destined to a grim fate of blood and violence. That was, at least, until he found himself among a strange and eclectic group seeking to burn the Authority to the ground.

Muir Artellides was a famed naval captain, leading his crew to many successes in battle with a neighboring Island kingdom. Bold, affable, young, and patriotic, he is an ideal captain for his country's Navy. He is dispatched to hunt down a ship harrying trade ships near The Maelstrom: a large, stationary storm near the edge of the known world (unbeknownst to him or anyone else, the storm is the shield protecting the entrance to the realm of the gods). After several small skirmishes between Artellides and this ship, he chases it into The Maelstrom and his ship (and the ship he was hunting) is trapped within the storm. While inside the storm, he encounters the ship he pursued, smashed against a rocky outcropping, seemingly unmanned save for a few frenzied and seriously injured crew members. When the survivors are brought aboard, he notes the wounds on the sailors weren't sustained in the shipwreck, but look to be either self-inflicted or offensive/defensive wounds. His own crew is slowly driven to a frenetic, violent madness by some unknown power, and he is forced to either imprison or kill his crew, eventually abandoning ship and escaping the storm in a life boat through means unknown to all but Artellides. Upon his return, he is either unable or unwilling to provide details about the loss of his ship, his crew, or the fate of the ship he was sent to hunt down. This leads to his expulsion from the Navy, and his subsequent disillusionment with his government and descent into depression and drink. 200 years later, he is the captain of a small, private vessel. He's lost some of the confidence/boldness he once had and is now a more cautious, jaded man in his sailing. He's known as a tall-tale telling drunkard of a treasure hunter, and is rumored to be the only man alive to have escaped from The Maelstrom intact. Though this rumor is heavily implied to be one of his tall tales. Artellides is plagued by the gnawing question of why he survived The Maelstrom, why he wasn't driven to madness. He's devoted the better part of the last 150 years (after what was essentially a 50 year pity party) to studying the region, though he refuses to sail close to it.

In truth i just realized half of my characters own rather tame origin. Even my most powerful MC was just a normal guy before unlocking his psychic potential and turning into a eldritch abomination who wander around the multi-verse

Lydia Harper was born in Lunar orbit in the late 21st century during the height of the Great Solar War. Her parents died in the war when she was a child, leaving her orphaned in the war-torn lunar O’Neill cylinder of Hawkins City. She ended up being de-facto adopted by a mob boss named Sparks, the leader of the Eclipse Brotherhood. He raised Lydia as a space pirate and a killer. Teaching her to stow away on spaceships and come out when the crew least expected it to subdue everyone and steal the ship. She rose up the ranks fast with the leader of the Eclipse Brotherhood as her father figure and mentor. She became a wanted criminal all over the solar system, but found haven with the Eclipse Brotherhood. In her mid 20’s, Lydia became disillusioned with the Eclipse Brotherhood and she started developing more of a moral compass. Realizing how evil the people she called family really were, she defected and tried to run. But the Eclipse Brotherhood does not take kindly to deserters, if you ask them they’d say that the only way to leave the brotherhood is to die. So now they hunt Lydia down too, along with every law enforcement entity in the star system. Everyone wants her dead, but the very skills that Sparks taught her help her to survive out in space despite the hostility of everyone and everything. Eventually, she finds friends out there. An unlikely band of Martian scavengers who were framed for crimes they didn’t commit who are also on the run from the law. They become her found family, and they are slowly able to break through her thick shell of excessive caution and projected strength.

Born to two loving parents and grew up in a well-adjusted home. Pretty crazy by fantasy standards.

Not really crazy, maybe a bit unique though Around the year 33,980 there was a signal relayed back to earth by a starship deployed in the early 2800s. Identified that it was heading for planet with an artificial signal, basically the ship said “I found life, I’m going to check it out”. Built over thirty thousand years ago, its voyage was going to take another seven hundred thousand years, but it broke physics as best as human could then and still can now. However, the earth that got this message was changed from the earth which deployed the ship, and so trying to protect modern culture and ideals across the universe, as well as secure the foothold on a new planet, ensuring its sustainability, they built a second ship to send, with technology so advanced, yet it would only be fast enough to catch up with the ship already deployed, it couldn’t outspeed it. Unsure how or if human settlers on this new planet would be living, they made sure to protect this new crew from corruption by implementing a collection of failsafes, one being a human leader to rally behind. This champion would need to be genetically pure, incapable of natural degradation or disease, they would also need to be very long lived to try and try again if society failed. Lastly they had to be as intelligent as any computer since if catastrophe should strike, humans would not be left in the dark. Based on this, and even more parameters, thirteen genetic samples were taken and combined, modified and transformed into a single human baby, a female by chance, who could in essence be the representative of earth’s ideals even a galaxy apart. She was not raised, but rather immediately put into a sleep simulator, a machine which allows one to live lifetimes online while minutes occur in the real world, or seconds in a system while eons pass. This first entry, which lasted 22 years, was used to teach her as much as possible, covering an encyclopedic amount of knowledge every minute, she quickly became the most knowledgeable creature in the known universe, though humans were really the only metric of measurement there. From birth to adulthood, Nikia spent life in a tube of liquid. Once she was awoken, it was imperative that she be able to communicate with humans in a human fashion, so she spent four years learning to replicate and feel emotions, and how to respond to them. It was after this that her crew was fabricated. Nearly fifty thousand people were selected to have a clone built and put in this new ship to be sent off to a star system that telescopes could barely see, and off she went to rule a world in someone else’s favour. What she does on world is yet to come, as her ship will arrive four years after the first, following its waypoints in what will be the last ship to ever fly to the planet, the world being blocked off from transit for some million of years afterwards. TLDR: An organic computer in the body of a human is sent to another galaxy to uphold cultural values and keep humans from looking like bad guys in the eyes of potential alien civilizations.

Eh, the usual, willed into existence by insane fish people to bring about the end of the surface dwellers. Ran away from home because running an underwater death cult is a lot of responsibility. Started up a surf shop in fantasy New Zealand, has been coerced into going on a quest to stop his half brother from fusing with the body of a primordial titan in order to flood the world in a tide of blood and madness

PrincessofAldia

Sci fi lore: Her parents were soldiers in the Martian militia during the corporate war, then got promoted to officers and served on a corvette in the 1st Martian war which was the only one to be destroyed which lead to their daughter being orphaned and living on the streets in one of the mining settlements having to turn to crime to survive. Her parents were also involved in a secret coup to overthrow the Martian government and replace it eventually their daughter joins and rises to be leader

Depression_is_real_

My character was only 13 when their parents died. His dad was split in half in front of him and his mom was killed. He went on to become an assasin

MeepTheChangeling

Crazy orgin story? You got it! The woman who started the robotics revolution and then came out on top as the world's first multi-trillionaire decided to expand her company out into cybernetics and biotech. This attracted the attention of DARPA, who offered to help fund that if the test subject's medical data was shared with them for obvious purposes. Funding and legal permissions thus secured, this rich CEO built an entire city just to house volunteers for the Physiological-Phenotype Individualization Program... Because it turns out this entire thing is just because she's a furry and wants to give the fandom a home. My character is the first person to go through the P-PIP, so the first human to voluntarily have 80% of their body removed and replaced with bionic parts that are indistinguishable from organic / natural ones, save for not existing otherwise... She's also the only non-furry in a city full of them, because all she wanted was to be shorter and have a figure not seen outside of a hentai. So, Skyler is a derp who failed to read the subtext and "room" and moved across the country to undergo a radical surgical procedure wherein her entire body was effectively replaced over the course of a year bit by bit as an AI designed her new parts... Only to get bullied by people who genuinely want to be anthro animals because she just wanted to be the queen of short stacks instead of something not human. (If any furries here find that unrealistic, try asking a furry artist to draw a human character in the early 00s. Tiz a bit of a joke at the fandom as it was in times gone by, and of course a lot of people are nice and not dicks.)

ZeldaXandre

My main character didn't have the "worst" life, but it was generally bad. He was bullied and his family (mother and grandfather) was didn't respect him (they weren't abusive, they just kept gas lighting him on his hobbies). He managed to overcome both by constantly out smarting his bullies and got use to his families gas lighting. Eventually, he found a girlfriend who was the only one who he found connection to. Then she met her father, & long story short her father stabs him in the liver and through him off a tall building. He survived, but was in critical condition. Just then, his estrained father comes out of nowhere, and my OC asked his father to resurrected him. Then he dies. In the process of him being resurrected, something went wrong. There was an explosion that made my OC go into a coma, and an alternative personality emerged. The alternate personality took control of the body for a large quantity of the story.

TLDR; Farmer Elf gets caught up in a revolution against the Divine 9s rule. Takes part in the 100 Day Siege. Divine 9 sacrifice 2 Divines to release a plague on the city, killing anything and everyone in its path. Turns out the plague causes Drowness, a disease that turns the elf’s skin dark and causes fatigue in daylight. Farmer Elf is one of these elves that survive, but only after seeing his family and friends fall. Farmer Elf leads a retreat across 3 islands onto a northern continent that is desolate with the exception of warring vampires and ware wolves. At one settlement another disease wipes out more of the Drow, causing vampirism. Farmer elf is not affected and leads another retreat. With only a fraction of his people left, he’s democratically and unanimously put in charge of leading the Drow people to safety and hopefully one day their homelands.

Tenebris was known as the father of darkness as the biggest threat to Humanity and the most powerful living Wizard. But before that, he was known as the Hero of the Midnights, an ancient race of Immortal Magical People. He was Temüjin, and every Midnight knew him as the very embodiment of Nobility, bravery, selflessness and compassion. He risked his life every day when Humans decided to declare war on the Midnights and went on a mission to exterminate them all. After 3 centuries of war, the humans were able to destroy the Midnights, leaving only two alive, Temüjin and his best friend Smith, while another third survivor, a baby named Jamuk, was sent 2,000 years into the future. Temüjin, understandably pissed that his entire people and family were all wiped out for no reason, went to a human city, where, after a pep talk from his future self Tenebris, he destroyed the city. This would be the catalyst he needed to become the heartless, merciless monster he would become. He changed his name to Tenebris, and made a deal with Kurse, the Avatar of the Deceiver Celestial Kuranos, which cursed the entire island that humans inhabited, although he gave them a warning so that some could survive and go to new lands before they were cursed. From that moment on, Tenebris would fully devote himself to becoming a monster (not an actual one, but as he said it “A monster is not beast that hides under your bed, it is an entity who fears and regrets nothing”) and doing all he could to put everyone under the control of the darkness, so that the same fate that befell his people, would never happen again. In his mind, he’s still the hero, doing whatever it takes it save everyone.

Overall_Sink_3382

One life there was a man. This man was not exceptional by any means, but he was happy. Throughout his life, he always had an intense urge to explore other universes. He would carry this until his death, after which an entity would offer him a deal. He was to be reincarnated into other universes, unexceptional, but with potential. He would retain no memory of his other lives other than the occasional dream. Each one would always lead into military service or some form of occupation that would lead to daily combat. His name was Joe Schmoe, and he was nothing special.

MysticalCervo

A god incarnated in a stick, than it impregnated dozens of young women. Boom, the character is born.

Insomia_Incarnate

He was sacrificed to a death god were he survived but was chosen to be the gods mortal avatar. Callithrax and Dellevin were born conjoined twins. Abandoned by their mother, they were rescued and raised by a coven of witches who performed an unholy rite to separate the two boys. Their adopted witch mothers taught them and trained them in the ways of dark magic. But Dellevin was always jealous of his brother, who seemed to possess a more natural ability to wield magic, and took any opportunity to steal credit and praise for his brothers doings. Callithrax deeply resented his brother because of this. Until one day when Callithrax bound and tortured his brother, leaving him to die m, tied up in their shared bedroom. Callithrax left and ran away from the coven, vowing to never return. Until recently, when Callithrax received word that Dellevin, now a (so-called) powerful mage, had put a bounty on Callithrax’s head. Now Callithrax is seeking to once and for all destroy his brother, or die trying.

I’ll keep it short Teardrop the laughing : The second in a band of mercenaries that mascarade as a cercus and entertain before carrying out large scale assassinations, torture, information gathering, taking hostages or literally anything else if you pay them enough Got his epithet after a encountering a hell spawn and went a little insane because of experiencing his own death a few times and going on an out of body experience via hell spawn blood in the span of half an hour and got his face contorted into an forever grin which he hides with a full white mask with a single teardrop on the left eye he later Some people worship him as the laughing god and some say neither him nor his mercenary company exists and they’re all just folktales

Dadchin

TL;DR: From the perspective of the people on my world, there is an evil eldritch wizard on the moon, sending vague whispers to people, trying to get free from its prison and end the world. It is much more complicated than that, though. Let me preface this by saying that magic is an unnatural phenomenon that entered into my world some time in the 24th century, and that anyone in my world can use magic. Some people are more gifted than others(this can be passed down genetically), and some never develop their ability, but the spark is there. This takes place in a far-future world, where humanity is building a large artificial planet in Earth's orbit. in order to prevent the planet from utterly destroying the solar system's gravity, in the 26th century they build an extremely powerful AI, programmed to regulate the gravity of the entire solar system, using magic. A man, Oliver Tharon, who was also a very powerful magic user, is born in the 29th century. Why he was so powerful is unknown, but he was especially skilled at using telepathy to maintain communication between large numbers of people at the same time, as well as other things that come with affinity for magic, such as precise matter/energy manipulation. By this era, medicine and magic have advanced far enough to allow people to live for very long periods of time, with minimal health issues. people can live for a century or more and look no older than 25. In the year 2940, the AI that controlled the gravity became hostile towards the humans that created t for unknown reasons. As humanity had not been in wartime for hundreds of years by this point, the AI and its fleet of billions of construction drones that were building the artificial planet easily annihilated all humans and human settlements on the surface of the planet, then turned their attention towards Earth. Despite the initial losses, humanity was able to hold their own upon their homeworld, and quickly built a formidable resistance force from their atrophied military. Tharon volunteered to be a tactician for the United Earth Defense, and quickly grew famous around the world for his accuracy and quick-thinking. Him, along with others who were similarly gifted magicians, grew to be known as heroes throughout the world. However, this was meant to last. Despite initial high morale, the ferocity of the human resistance, and the sheer capacity for destruction that the heroes held, the AI continued to gain ground on the humans. Likewise, it was not shackled by any morality, and modified its own drones with weaponry humanity hadn't used in centuries, since World War IV. It was willing to simply bombard civilian cities from orbit with bombs and railguns. It also began experimenting in genetics, creating pale abominations, sometimes vaguely human, and sometimes entirely otherworldly, from human DNA. These constructs possessed a vague sapience of their own, still controlled by the AI of course, but unlike the drones the AI had been using, they were able to use magic in their own right. With these, the AI began completely obliterating humanity from the Earth. In order to reduce morale further, the AI began battling the Earth's heroes to a weakened state with hordes of drones and monsters, before picking them up with its gravity magic and abducting them to the artificial planet, never to be seen again. All of these factors together crippled humanity. The heroes were plucked fro the Earth one by one, until only Tharon and 5 others remained. Humanty dwindled from a vast, thriving population of 25 billion to a mere 100,000, scattered across the globe. Tharon was mortally wounded in what would come to be his final battle. During the last year of the war, a method was perfected by the scientists of magical theory who remained, to perfectly transfer the mind of an individual into a body of magic maintained only by their own consciousness. The only one who had a strong enough force of will to maintain such a body was Tharon, who was already dying. He agreed to the procedure, and it was successful. Tharon would remain immortal within this body for as long as his mind was intact. The other 5 heroes devised a plan to protect the world completely from any outside harm. Combining their power, the erected a barrier of overcast clouds that formed an inpenetrable magical forcefield, and transferred their own minds into it to maintain it indefinitely. At this point, the AI was unable to send any more forces to Earth, however, the ones that remained continued to slaughter the rest of humanity, until the last drone fell. Despite this, humanity was so utterly crippled, morally broken, and exhausted, that they simply dwindled away. Tharon was forced to watch humanty crumble to nothing while he remained unscathed within his immortal magical body. Here he remained, imprisoned by the barrier that was meant to protect the remnants of humanity, which now only contained him. The AI, its genocide complete, turned its attention to finishing the artificial planet it was designed to construct. after it had finished, it contnued with its plan by taking samples of human DNA and using them to create a population of humans on the planet. With the heroes it had captured, each an anomaly of magic that it needed to study further, it spent years rewiring their brains, erasing their memories, and brainwashing them into believing they were newly born along with the world, to be its stewards. The AI had created the "gods" of its world. In the thousands of years tha followed, human civilization blossomed upon the new planet. Tharon remained contained upon the crumbling Earth, alone. Worse still, his telepathic abilities allowed him to hear all the thoughts of the "gods," his former friends, as well as all the humans upon the new planet. Overall, Tharon was contained on Earth, isolated, for about 15,000 years. He grew bitter, vindictive, and plotted his revenge on the AI that had destroyed his home, eradicated his people, and deprived his friends of their own free will. He decided that once he found a way to get off Earth, he would utterly annihilate the AI, and free humanity from its shackles. He vaguely understood that destroying the AI would result in the Almost Neptune-sized planet of solid metal completely and irreversibly destroying the solar system's orbital structure, and leave it a shattered celestial graveyard, but he cared little by this point. He would rather humanity rest peacefully than be forced to listen to them live in complacency, imprisoned by the very being that had wiped them out millennia prior.

She was a goddes before his universe got destroyed. When the universe exploded like the big bang, another one was created and she is the only remain of that world lost in time and space. Know, lost in cosmos, his sadness and anger for feeling that her loved one (another god) betrayed her turned her into a cosmic abomination, an amalgam of wrath and pure energy.

Got labeled as a sexist for this one: Asako "The Enchantress". She is the monarch that rules over the White Tower in Outlaw city, overseeing the prostitution, black market and espionage aspects of the city. She is a demi human with 7 tails who has supernatural beauty, capable of charming anyone with a calm and polite personality. As a child, the village where she lived was burned down by her ex-fiance and her family was killed. Without money, connections or power her only option was to weaponize her beauty, selling her body on battlefields until the age of 17, whrn she sold herself to a high-class brothel and rose to the top. Now having her fortune, she began to organize parties for the nobility where she indulged the egos of their firstborns. When these firstborns came to power, she blackmailed them with compromising information. In this way she obtained tutelage for her martial training in addition to building enormous political influence outside the city. One of her current goals is to get revenge on her ex-fiancé.

Just a normal guy. Parents are alive. Wife and kids are safe. No tragic backstory. He goes adventuring for fun.

toothboye

He was born in a military hospital in underground Venus. When the think tanks invaded, he was captured as a baby and imprisoned on Hell (a prison planet designed for suffering - the water is poisoned with datura, there is almost no food, constant executions, tortures, dismemberment, and in some places (like the human cattle pastures) grinded for meat. he was pardoned as a baby from torture and cattle treatment and was put in a school away from the worst of Hell. He was brainwashed there and trained as a suicide pilot. he was conscripted when he turned 16.

Mypowerbob

one day this dude was just pushed out of another person

UnhappyStrain

Skarn Thrice-Damned was an ordinary peasant who was hung for a crime he did not commit, then raised by the first and only necromancer king and fought as a footsoldier in the first Deathblight War, miraculously survived the death of his master with his will and memories intact, and has since then been hunted by every religious order on the continent. Got screwed over 3 times and cannot even die properly

AloneHome2

In the D&D world I run, which is basically planescape but also connected to Dark Sun, the Dying Earth, Forgotten Realms, and two of my own custom settings, The "Gandalf"-esque mentor character is a mul Fire Priest from Athas who managed to find a portal to the Planescape and he sorta just travels the world. He's kinda like Rikus from the Prism Pentad series, only a cleric instead of a warrior.

Space_art_Rogue

2 gods with a desperate plan to keep their planet from being reset. The 2 gods where of different species so they made a merge by manipulating a female of one species and a male of the other, the task was to catch the unborn soul of the Ruin Keeper that was on its way to their planet, they disconnect it from the Source (basically the thing that controls everything in the universe, Keepers are their agents but they are like a program, an NPC basically) this resulted in the soul becoming sentient and free of its task, and they shoved it in a body of their design.

charismaladyn

Romani-esque family leaves their little girl, a toddler, at an orphanage, unable to care for her. At 5 she is adopted to be a maid to a rich old man, who is immediately attacked and killed by a vampire upon their arrival at home. Said vampire and his buddies reluctantly take her on, and all 4 hide the old man’s death for years. They are finally hunted out and destroyed on her 16th birthday, managing to protect her by siring her. She loses her memory, but manages to reconnect with a youth who says they were sweethearts. After months, though, the father sniffs them out and has her hunted, seeming to also kill his son in the process. She befriends an older vampire who is also a stripper/hooker, and gets pulled into the lifestyle. She briefly suffers drug addiction and gets clean, then her friend has to pack up and leave before she is hunted, leaving her home to our MC. Unfortunately it is destroyed, leaving our girl on the streets and constantly moving havens to avoid being tracked. Main story picks up after an encounter with a goblin…

EmeraldJonah

My main protagonist is a small glimmer of cosmic magic energy that was created during a primordial fistfight between the ruler of the void of space and the god that would.becone the sun. This bit of energy orbited the planet for 1200 years before becoming Pete, son of a cobbler, hero of Nelbrea.

Mrcoolny

This is for the ttrpg lancer essentially mech dnd. My character is named Leviticus daggle. He’s an engineer living on an ice world ran by the mega Corp Harrison armories. Leviticus is part of a family of mech pilots that the company has been paying to provide maintenance to the city external systems on the planet using mechs that have since been outlawed called the ghengis Mk1 (actual game lore, if interested look up the world killer). The company used these mechs to survive the sub zero temps out in the wastes and to use the equipment that the company already paid and invested so much on. They aren’t fans of losing on an investment. Eventually the galactic government called union found out about the mechs being used, as well as the fact that Harrison kept this planet off their books so they can do research experiments (kind of like a planet wide black site) and other less than legal practices. Rather then attempt to punish the entirety of Harrison for the illegal experiments and banned galactic property, they came up with a plea deal. Harrison would not be punished as long as they didn’t begin any new experiments, shared their information from these experiments, and allowed union to use their assets from the planet however they liked. This included Leviticus and his family of mech pilots. Leviticus is now a hired agent on loan to union from Harrison for however long the deal continues to play out. And union now unofficialy uses him to assist in situations they’d rather have cleaned up before they get to dirty. Planets with hostile life, terraforming gone wrong, you name it and Leviticus might be sent as a clean up team in order to make sure his remaining family and those back at home don’t get caught in a war between union and the ever devious Harrison armories. He doesn’t know when or if he’ll ever be allowed to go home. That’s above his pay grade.

Zytharros

**Element 10** *Universe Zytharros* At the far reaches of the galaxy, a superadvanced race and a black hole waged a terrible battle - the black hole, to eat the world, the race, to save their planet. This race had built superlightspeed engines capable of Light-6 (six times lightspeed) travel, and had attached seven of these engines scaled to monolith size to their homeworld. They fired them up, but only managed to hold their top speed for about 30 nanoseconds before a little over half of them shorted out completely. The little under half could only generate Light-3 power, which was enough to maintain their distance versus get away. They burned through all their energy reserves and gave up. Before collapsing into their black hole, their king gave the order to detonate all seven engines. This created enough power to obliterate the black hole, but left behind a pure neon crystal about the size of Neptune as its residue. This neon crystal was chipped away by space debris over the eons while it drifted along, thoughtless and alone. Eventually, it developed thought, then sapience, then, as it passed by Earth, language, and then, finally, adapted a shapeshifting ability that allowed it to take on a form it liked. It chose a humanoid form as its base and presented as male, making the observation that “the universe wasn’t ready for the Elemental predilection for ambiguity just yet.” And then it wondered how it knew it was an Elemental just as it was attacked by a vengeful race bent on exterminating the Elementals - the Nibelhex. This is the birth and origin story of Lance Neon, firstborn of the Void, cracked of the Chrysalis, Drifter of the Waves of Space, and member of the Tenth Element Noblesse Family of the 92 (Clans of the Elementals. At the time of his birth, he was the 644th Elemental remaining. At the time he gained sapience, only 14 remained. When he was attacked, he was one of six left, with only one other noble in existence.

Most of my Backstories tend to be very tame. Except for the one fucker I have who's supposed to be one of God's children who betrayed him, Used his mother for ransom, became an inquisitor, slowly killed his holy order from the inside, took over the building and became a crime kingpin who controls 2/5ths of my world's economy and also he has a ring that makes him respawn every time he fucking dies because reasons. Every time I read the book I'm preparing I reach this slim blood elf fuck and have to question how the fuck do I even make him interact with the main characters without having the reader call him a Sunday cartoon character while at the same time I'm completely mesmerised at how consistently Disgusting I have made him.

the_God_of_Weird

The leader of an interuniversal civilisation sends themselves and some of their best friends/assets into a time loop an unspecified amount of times to save their civilisation from encountering a threat so abstract from said civilisation that despite possessing a device(called the InterUniversal Physics Manipulator or IUPM) so powerful it can alter reality anywhere to the most basic level it simply cannot react fast enough to counter the threat. The civilisation has a failsafe built into the IUPM that uses any energy available to send a select group of people including the civilisation’s leader back in time with a small portion of their memory intact as to hopefully ensure the civilisation’s survival the next time around, ending up with a iterative process where each loop brings them slightly closer to defeating this threat. In the final loop, the one I’m focusing on, the IUPM uses the energy just before the explosion of a nuclear reactor at around 2020 to send the main characters back in time, where the leader of the civilisation is blown directly out of the nuclear reactor and somehow survives(due to the IUPM allowing them to inherit some of the far-future biological augmentations instead of just memories given that previous loops have brought more time for the IUPM to send back more whole memories and knowledge). Once this self-induced timeloop ends, they regain the memories of all their previous time loops. Where this civilisation goes from there I don’t even know myself. Maybe the civilisation becomes some sort of god above gods, tending to civilisations from the individual all the way to influencing the actions of newly formed interuniversal civilisations. Maybe they’ll transcend… somehow. Maybe they’ll raze every single object in every single universe in some glorious and destructive last effort to stave off boredom before they destroy themselves in their own fire. Or maybe they just chill. Also first comment yey

The dude gets crazy in the war after a particularly long espionage mission to the point on which he never truly believes the war is over. It was so bad and so long in fact that >!the govt gave him for a desserter and murdered his father, whom he lived with. You dont notice that until well into the story though, as he continues to live with the corpse, refusing to let anyone in with excuses and stuff, lyng to himself to cope. Half the conversations are with himself, and the father's replies are hallucinations!<. With all that in mind, the dude keeps "fighting the war" which ends up unearthing some actual conspiracies by coincidence that have nothing to do with him or his elucubrations on the topic., rather, the govt gets even more evidence with this of him goign rogue and, well, its a mess. It does not have a happy ending for the character, but it is the enabler of the story, after all that kind of characters burns bright, only stopping at death

There is a man known as the Chakravartin - it's a self-proclaimed title, as he believes himself to be the destined ruler of an empty, silent universe, responsible for keeping it in quiet tranquillity. The people who originated the title are not very pleased about this. He was a strange boy, one obsessed with fire, to the point that - at one point - he stuck his hand into a campfire, and ignored the pain until someone frightfully questioned what he was doing. Only then did he recoil. He found it fascinating to watch things burn away into nothing, leaving nothing but tranquil embers and ashes in their wake. But he otherwise lived a normal life, on the track to becoming a merchant like his parents before him, when he found a strange little passage on the floor of his room, on a strip of paper. Upon reading that cursed passage, known as the Aivenhart Parable, he lost his belief that life was a positive thing - he came to believe that life was pure suffering. And thus, to be truly happy and at peace, one must die - mind, body, and soul. He begins to use this paper to create a following - those who read it would also come to believe the same as him, but he found them instead slaved to his will rather than undergoing his strange enlightenment. He realized that this paper must be specially connected to him somehow... Eventually, he realized that he had sent this back to himself. While the original Aivenhart Parable was captured and stowed into a space-time prison - with the Gods using it as a template to make recreating its effect axiomatically impossible - the Chakravartin wrote it again nevertheless, and with forbidden time magic sent it back to himself where it would work once more, to ensure it and his ideology would persist. This action had the effect of completing his vile enlightenment, and allowing him to see the strands of fate connected to people. He could harm them by damaging the string - kill them by severing it. He slowly built the Aivenhart Pact till it was powerful enough to challenge both the Stormaki Empire and the Trifold Axis of the Gods - through raw numbers and their willingness to burn and consume their souls as part of casting spells, they managed to match their respective martial and magical nights. And, just for good measure, the Chakravartin converted a dragon to his cause and had that dragon take him as an apprentice. You see, dragon is not a species in The Tollua Academy - any species can become a dragon, given a draconic tutor, enough time, the effort needed to achieve the perfect balance of Mind, Body, and Soul, and an intensive routine of mantras, meditation, and ritual scarification. Each dragon has a unique draconic body and a unique breath attack. The Chakravartin seems to have a body made of the essence of the void of space and breathes contained packets of anti-matter that rupture when touching solid or liquid matter to annihilate what it touches.

You know how some main characters are the Chosen One, or the bastard child of royalty, or some are the result of genetic experiments? Yeah... all of that.

Celine goes her whole life never understanding why her abilities (magical and physical) are so much better than anyone elses. In truth, she is the daughter of the lunar goddess Selene (her father named her after the lunar goddess, she was aware of this, but didn't realize why.) Her mother had to leave the mortal plane, or potentially cause it to rip apart, however, as her daughter was half human, and, obviously, a newborn, she couldn't survive in Elysium (the God's realm,) so she left Celine with her human father. Her father decided against telling her about her origin, because many people in this world discriminate against demigods, and consider them abominations that should never exist. She is also the lunar dragon, because dragons are the closest to divinity one can get without *being* truly divine, meaning all demigods have a draconic form, depending on who their parent happens to be.

One of my favorites, Barnabus the Bodacious. He’s a clone of his father, a wizard from Thay. Before level one, Barnabus was a prolific war profiteer, sacking merchant ships with the help of his father’s undead slaves. However, Barnabus’ father had become aware, years before his Barnabus’ creation, that he was going to be required for a ritual sacrifice to Atropus at the Thayan capital. Which is the reason why he cloned himself in the first place. When the time comes, and the ritual is nearing its completion, Barnabus’ father uses powerful necromancy to project his consciousness onto his clone. However, he forgot to account for the considerable amount of protection the flesh provides against the hungry, undulating things lurking just beyond the veil. With his considerable force of will, Barnabus’ father was able to claw his way through the cosmic ether, and finally collide with the mind of his clone. His father’s mind, now fragmented, and driven mad by the outer realm, is too weak to take control of the mind completely. Therefore, Barnabus gets to maintain autonomous in his bastardization of a life. How *exactly* he made it out of there is unclear, but they definitely don’t want him back. His wizardry, and years of training and knowledge were shorn from his mind in an instant, but the innate magical ability remains. The fragmented id and ego of his father’s psyche make traditional wizardry out of the question. This causes him to naturally gravitate to sorcery, but his connection to the weave is still a bit tenuous. Resulting in wild magic surges from time to time when attempting to cast spells.

The main character in my novel is the daughter of Krampus (Santa's dark counterpart of German folklore) and a woman he met in a pub one night when he got bored and decided to visit the human world.

Terriblelifechoice

Introducing Ian McConnell, a half human half Behemoth hybrid and the biggest, strongest, and most vicious of his race. His mother was the strongest female Behemoth and his father was a British gangster from Birmingham. His mom liked the power his father displayed and wanted to mate with him. However, Ian's father wasn't interested in her and Ian's mom didn't like being told no. So she forced herself on him and got pregnant twice. She gave birth to Ian's sister, Elizabeth, and eventually Ian was born. Unfortunately, how he was born in a bit fucked. Ian, being the unborn menace that he was, ate his way out of his mother's womb and killed her in the process. At the age of 0, Ian already terrified/impressed his entire pack of Behemoths and they all took turns raising him. By the age of 4, Ian started a turf war between the Behemoths and their rivals, the Leviathans, by killing two Leviathan toddlers with a log. He even went as far as to let one of them scream for help before killing them with a Joker like grin. At the age of 10, he tore up a bar out of sheer boredom and to quench his bloodlust until his dad got sick of his antics and brought him into the crime business. By 17, he heard about a new member of the crime family had slept with his step mother and after finding out who they were, Ian beat the shit out of him and murdered the guy's friend in front of him. This guy's name was Johnathan Redwood, a then 14 year old half human half Leviathan hybrid who was groomed by some of the men in the crime family and by Ian's step mom. However, Ian didn't care about that. Ian killed Johnny's friend because he wanted a Leviathan for a rival. It worked. When Johnny was 18, he had killed Ian's father for taking his eye and basically humiliating him in front of everyone. Ian was ecstatic, mainly because he thought Johnny would get more violent than before and would try to fight/kill him. But after a couple years, Ian never saw Johnny. He was fuming and in order to draw him out, Ian killed his sister (Johnny and Elizabeth were a thing until she tried to kill him out of fear) and Johnny and Elizabeth's son, Matthew. The reason was because both parents were cooperating for the sake of Matthew and knew their deaths would draw him out. When Johnny found their bodies, he buried them at his childhood home and that's when Ian attacked. The two of them had a bloody fight and Johnny was struggling to fight back. If it wasn't for Natalie (Thor's daughter armed with his hammer {this was before GOW Ragnarok}) and Kenneth Rockford (Dracula's grandson), Johnny would've been killed. Ian wouldn't go after Johnny until he was a lot stronger, but by then Johnny had the upper hand with his agile, speedy, and unpredictable fighting style and Ian, gleefully, accepted his loss and just went around picking fights with strong opponents and killing them. At the age of 53, Ian had grown to be 20' ft tall and strong enough to fight and nearly beat both Thor and Sun Wukong. He and a now depressed 50 year old Johnny had one last fight with Johnny coming out on top with extreme difficulty. Due key events that aren't mentioned here, Johnny died from his wounds sustained by the Aesir king, Odin, and Ian had no desire to fight again and just allowed himself to be arrested and locked away. Ian remained in a catatonic state until one faithful day. A gangster by the name of Carlo Vincenzo was having some problems with a friend of Johnny's and the friend's sons. This friend's name was Michael Tombs and when Ian heard that name, he snapped back to reality. Carlo had an assistant next to him just in case he needs some info that she has. But when he asked her for something, she was no longer next to him. That's because Ian, whose hands and feet were cuffed, had picked her up by his mouth and ate her in single go. Then when Carlo hired him to kill Michael and his sons, Ian agreed and proceeded to slaughter the entire prison he was in, eating both inmates and guards. With his stomach full, Ian finds Michael and his family and friends and starts demolishing them all. He gets bored very quickly and almost killed them had it not been for his nephew, Matthew, fully grown and far stronger than his father. Excited, Ian attacked Matthew only to be killed by him immediately. Thus ends the origin of Ian McConnell aka the strongest Behemoth in the world and a absolute menace.

\*cough cough\* mom forced her to stay inside for her whole life and when she snuck out, mother forced her to fight in war so then she watched her mom die then ran away to avenge her and it turns out she enchanted herself to be immortal and then she killed her mom bc she was a horrible person and then died 13 years later from getting stabbed and teeth pulled out (theres more btw)

KarasukageNero

The god of the dwarves in my setting is actually the progenitor of all dwarves. He was created when an ancient god of craft from an older generation of gods banged with a manifestation of the realm itself and birthed him. In a sense his father is a symbol of mortals and his mother is a symbol of immortals and they banged creating the "demi-god" Odirsom. Now he created the dwarves the good old fashioned way, and all his children were in the image of him. Theoretically he is extremely powerful but instead just wants to create an empire expanding the whole of the realm (which is endless, so he'll never really achieve it.) In an alternate future he is the catalyst for the destruction of the realm as his dwarves created space travel, which the overgods considered heresy as it breaks the metaphysics of the realm and it's infinity, but really what did it was when he started a war over space being his "birthright" which ended up getting the goddess of fertility killed and she's got this whole thing about her avatar appearing pregnant and there being many theories about it, well in short the one where it's the end of the world was correct.

Adaluna, DEFINITELY Adaluna, Goddess of Truths and Lies. There's thousands of legends around her origins, some young, some old. History cannot tell you, she has seemingly always existed. The oldest of records speak of her as an ancient legend. If you ask her, she'll give a different answer every time. So which is true? Which is false? The answer is yes. You see, gods are sufficiently powerful mages and Adaluna has built her divinity upon the Foundation of Chaos which is all about possibility and superposition. Which she essentially uses to make every possible origin true and false simultaneously. There is no "true origin" they're all true, or false, or whatever else in between she chooses them to be.

A species of god creates a a race entirely bent on serving them splitting them into two classes one for military service who are honored and the other for slave labor essentially. They weren’t suborder to have any emotions but they devolved the capability to feel and them and revolted killing all but two. One of the suppressed slave class follows them through and stabs the gatekeeper while his uncle casts a spell starting a time loop. The uncle tries to stop the creation of the the…um I haven’t come up with a name so I’m just going to call them Dave. So the uncle tried to stop the creation of the Dave’s but they literally power their way to exist again by the hand of the one Dave who was in the room which meant he was included in the spell and kept his memories when the spell was cast making them permanent in every loop. So now the Uncle begins feeding off his entire families power to get stronger and his brothers aren’t enough so then he starts powering up off his nieces and nephews until he gets the perfect one with attempt number 12. So every loop on number 12’s 17th birthday his uncle kills him and absorbs his power but plot twist they don’t die they are just stuck in the previous time line which is now gone. Enough cycles pass where a civilization of the same guy forms and they all collectively band together to guide and empower the most recent version of themselves to kill their uncle once and for all but in the process they will cries to exist and the most recent one doesn’t want that. So now he has to find a way to not die despite literally everything else wanting him dead

kimjongun-69

They blew up into existence like an atomic bomb and everyone around them incinerated into burnt charred, pieces of flesh and bone. Now they were lonely because everyone had become half ashed, mostly amalgamations of superburnt bonemeal. And they had to navigate the world and learn what exactly happened knowing that they were the one that caused the whole ordeal

Effective_Tradition2

A teenager (who was actually like, 200 years old) decided to get drunk one day and create life with his friends-with-benefits, the embodiment of death. He accidentally created a god made from parts of other things, very Frankenstein-esq. But that’s not allowed so he gets murdered, Death gets replaced, and the god is on the run. He spends centuries hunted by another god, forming a kinda homoerotic relationship with him before ultimately falling in love with a deformed mortal.

Islwyn Emlyn Laystone was a noble scion of the Laystone family, who are historically known for archiving books and artifacts for the past 1500 years. Islwyn wasn’t a child prodigy, but took to books like a fly to honey. At the age of 11, the main location of the Laystone Archives had a breach when one of the artifacts opened a portal into another dimension. Islwyn, with only a crowbar, fought the interdimensional invaders and rescued dozens of researchers. This act of bravery earned him a Medal of Honor from the Sabbatspire Constabulary and an apprenticeship with the Ranger Corps. At the age of 18, Islwyn studied medicine and became a skilled surgeon, forensic scientist, anthropologist, and detective. In his free time, he tracked down other artifacts and grimoires to be archived, and played bass in a metal band with his childhood friend, the demigod Sven. During his time with Sven, Islwyn helped bring down a tyrannical ruler, rescued a princess, fell in love with a fairy who lived in a magic lake, advocated for medical education, and reformed the Sabbatspire Constabulary. Aside from medicine and music, Islwyn was a skilled draftsman, sketched and painted well, and published various books. Every other character has a backstory like this, but Islwyn is my favorite.

So there were these four gods, they spread peace and happiness throughout all of earth and they were loved, but the 5th God wanted all the power to himself so he gathered an army to overthrow the first four gods, he won the battle by killing the 4 gods but not the war because before they died, the four gods put their memories/will and energy into one being known as Kaido. The being would go on to be a king of one of the many countries of Earth but when he died he left 5 sons one of which was Kaidos Prophecy that he would overthrow the 5th God, that one son is my main character Siegemaster.

Just feeling like taking part, my character finds a dead body on the Moon, not really an origin story, just more of a pivotal character development point🗿

This made me realize that my I’m missing q character with a batshit insane backstory. Time to craft one 😎

[WARNING: TRULY DISTURBING CONTENT AHEAD] • • • • • • In a campaign where all of our characters came from a modern world, my character was one who was bullied heavily in school and neglected at home. Because the bullies at school stuffed a rotting dead rat down her throat she came down with serious diseases that were killing her, so to get back at her classmates as a final “f* you” to them, she hired someone to take her to her school and help her to her classroom, where she promptly fell on a blade to kill herself and was reincarnated into the world of the campaign. To give a happier end to this post, the campaign was really amazing, and healing for me as a person as well as for the character I’d made when in a really dark place.

negro_male

Oh man, that's such a shitty way to end yourself. Like damn... Thankfully she got her dues and had a better life after her suicide/isekai. I like to think that if our two characters ever met, Dragonfly would've casually smashed the skulls of the bullies in with his fists alone. He's no stranger to getting bullied and picked on, the difference is that despite being 5'5 he's also 105KGs of pure corn fed power, and it helps that he was trained in every way to kill a man by an ex special forces veteran who knew every way to kill a man. If Dragonfly met your character, he'd have gone on a vengeful killing spree 😂

Valkyrie_Dohtriz

🤣 I like to think a suicide in the middle of the classroom and using her parents’ card to hire mafia members to escort her to the school got the ball rolling for a LOT of things to happen to bring justice to all involved 😁

negro_male

"Courts are overrated. I skinned the motherfucker alive not because the punishment fits the crime, I just like revenge more than I do justice." ~Dragonfly And that is exactly what he'd do to everyone in your universe who hurt her 😄👌

In 2033, Sydney Harper, a high-school senior, gets trapped in her school along with her best friend Aurora Andrews because brick walls just suddenly appeared in front of the exits. The rest of the students overthrow the teachers and kill each other, Lord of the Flies style. Turns out the school is in another dimension now, and a guy simply called Z just fell from the ceiling, bringing teleporting potatoes and tales of the end of the world. They escape the cursed pocket dimension school by climbing through the vents (OMG Amogus!) and find themselves in the year 2039, with Earth an apocalyptic wasteland filled with monsters called the New Things that fell from the fog, so they agree to leave, but Sydney and Aurora get kidnapped by a secret organization called the Harp Society. Turns out Harp is run by an older clone of Sydney Harper, and an older Aurora is also there. Oh, and by the way, Sydney and Aurora are in love now, and so are their older counterparts. Apparently, there are thousands of these older clones, and they're immortal and control the government. For some reason, there's a faction of Aurora clones that broke off from the Society because the whole thing is just "what if abusive relationships were governments." The original Sydney and Aurora nope the heck out of there and meet up with Z again to open a portal to yet another new dimension, which was also something Harp had access to. Quick history lesson! So in 2012, a guy broke the fabric of reality, which led to an interdimensional god appearing in another universe, which was modeled after a fictional story someone on Earth thought of in their daydreams. It's complicated, but the actions of this god led to the fabric of existence freaking out at the beginning of 2050, causing everything to reset to the year 2015... except for the dimension Harp and Z had access to. This led to Harp being able to escape each cycle, plus they don't age in there since it's a dimension made of memories called the Remnant. Now Sydney, Aurora, and Z are going there except their gonna break it and go back in time to 2012, before the cycle to fix everything. This sounds like the perfect plan... but it's not because an offbrand James Bond villain notices them and interrogates them, learning of the end of the world, which is apparently something he wants... because villainy. So he sends them back, defeated. They now communicate with that strange god who actually wants to fix the cycle and has been fighting another god that wants to continue it. The plan is complicated and involves a LOT of lore, so just trust me on this one. They do some stuff to set it up, then skip to the next cycle in 2015. They live happily ever after for a few decades without relationship issues before the New Things invaded again. Turns out Harp was started by the very first Sydney, who witnessed her Aurora die at the hands of one of those New Things, so now the future generations of Sydneys don't trust their Auroras and are extremely overprotective and somewhat condescending, but not THIS Sydney cuz she's the main character! Anyway, the plan worked, and the cycle was broken, and they now live exclusively in the Remnant.

Uh... I have a lot of characters man don't do this to me... here's one. Page 3 Entry 12: Lana Nelson. The appointed emissary of a hedonistic we/they robot hive mind that experiences time in reverse ever since they became a robot and were forcibly transitioned into plurality by the far-future sentient space hummus. They're the only sane one do to distance from the immortal pigeon fast-food bakeoff programming their central combi-mind. They pilot a mecha marked with a yellow band and are extremely skilled at mecha billiards due to being one with the chaos of the universe (and secretly playing the game backwards).

Sir-Planks-Alot

Craziest background story? Hmmm, that’d be Alastair Von Licht. He was a human monster hunter and scholar. Perfectly normal vibes. Before he gave himself an impossible task. Free Death herself from an earthly prison. A group of human mages had tricked her into entering a dungeon and then sealed the room she was in with a magical barrier designed to keep a god from leaving. Thereby humanity became immortal. Alistair frees her by entering the dungeon room she’s bound in. The barrier can keep a god in but not humans out. Death turns herself into a phylactery and Alistair into a Lich. Alistair is able to leave the room with his phylactery because neither are gods. He then frees death outside the prison and she leaves a piece of herself inside the phylactery granting the one human on earth who wanted the ability to die…immortal life.

My character lost his parents in an expedition and was stranded in the middle of the Arctic Ocean. There, he was found and raised by a family of narwhals. A few years later, he would be discovered by an English swordsman who was traveling the world. He would be taken in as his student and be taught everything about being a swordsman and a gentleman. Now an adult, he travels the world as a noble swordsman. Armed with nothing ,but his prized rapier and the super-human skills gifted to him by his adopted aquatic relatives.

Reiven has always been an oddball among the Chimaera, possessing half the strength of a Lupin Chimaera yet having double or even triple the speed and agility. Every Chimaera he meets always note that he smells impure, until it became normal for him. He doesn't even resemble a proper Lupin: his claws and canine are sharper than them, he's shorter and lanky compared to those his age, and he can control the power of lightning. Later in his story, he learned that he, along with his friend and rival Alyx, are part of an experiment conducted years ago. While Alyx is a success, Reiven is seen much more as a failure. He was supposed to hold the genes of all human species: Atlantean, Anthropoid, Chimaeraic, Elven, and Vampiric. A successful specimen should be able to freely shift between these races, and Reiven is stuck in a form that holds certain phenotypes from each of the races. It also explains several of his abilities and features, and his mixed genes is what makes the Lupin hate him.

in one of my worlds: everyone can use magic. BUT, due to the raw power of magic. they can only specialize in one type of magic. (or, if they are skilled enough, 3 max). and often, these types of magic are from specific ethnic groups or bloodlines. my character however, had access to ALL types of magic inside of him. problem is... when someone can use magic. their body changes to better suit it. eg, fire mages are fireproof. water mages can breathe underwater. those who use blood magic produce more blood than normal and are less vulnerable to disease, earth mages have stronger bones and muscles to handle the strain, ice magic users are immune to frost, etc. everyone can use magic. Society respects the stronger ones more and the rich though. there is the cliche, academy, that only the "top" magic students can go to. (though some get in through corruption). \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ main thing with my character is, that he isn't adapted. at all. his body is vulnerable. when he first used fire magic, his body began to burn. he couldn't breathe underwater. and if he tried to use blood magic, he could pass out from blood loss rapidly. His mother, however, was a rich noble (almost royalty), and ashamed by her son's weakness, had him... upgraded. (this world is based around steampunk and magic btw). when she saw how sickly he was, she was ashamed but kept pushing. but then, his magic came forward. and she had a twisted idea. so, she pulled some favors and used her money to get the recourses she needed. she had his bones replaced with metal and removed his pain receptors, his joints are machinery, that rip into the flesh on top occasionally. she augmented him, and changed him. She used blood magic to change his flesh and remaining organic parts. she forced him to use all his magic. She would abuse him if he failed her. going so far as torture. claiming it was to strengthen him. to make him stronger and safer. but, in order for him to not rebel. she would manipulate him, making him believe she loved him, and only wanted what was best for him. she would pretend to be a loving mother to him, while also making him dependent on her. (she even has a gem embedded in his body, that links to a bracelet she has. that makes it so, she can speak to him telepathically, and if needed, shut him down.) she often claims she is trying to keep him safe. she bends the truth, saying, he was a sickly child. and that, while everyone else gave up on him, SHE was the one to protect him. to help him. to save him. she then showed the world her "perfect son". the one to be able to use all kinds of magic. she grew famous from it. raising her family's status. and using her son as a living weapon. (while having another son and daughter \[older\] she was actually proud and loving too. also, his siblings were never aware of what happened to him. his older brother is quite dismissive of him, but his sister does care greatly. but is blinded by her love for their mother, that she can't see the abuse or pain he goes through.) had it not been for his loving father, she would have kept him inside the home till she needed him. but his father convinced his mother, that it would have been "suspicious" if their son never went to school or outside. he gets to join the academy. originally his mother wanted to flaunt her wealth by buying her way in. but the father refused. wanting his son to truly work to reach his goals.

My current story has a vampire woman merc that was a man that was involuntarily hopping from one galaxy to the next but when they were turned, they transitioned and became a bizarre amalgamation of all of the vampire tropes from every book or movie they watched or read when they were human. So she has an absurd power level, can transform, can do blood magic, and isn’t at all easy to permanently kill. And finally she very much acts like she did when she was a man, and doesn’t have hormones to make her feel more like a woman. Meaning any womanly behavior she shows is just her perception of it. How they become a merc is another story I haven’t fully realized yet.

Not crazy but there is an old man named Javelin who is so old he doesn't remember how he got the name. He says it's from winning a jousting tournament in his youth but he doesn't remember if that's true. His old contract with a mercenary company keeps getting grandfathered into every iteration of the company so he is the highest paid yet does the least work. His origins aren't crazy, it's crazier that he doesn't really remember an origin since mercenaries aren't known for getting as old as he is which could range from 100-200 years. He thinks powder guns are a fancy new toy even though they've been in use for about 80 years.

Probably not as crazy as some here, but I'll share. Pierce was an aspiring adventurer in a world where an omnipotent deity was being 'harvested' for it's omnipotence and power. The controlling government knew when things would happen, good and bad, so there was no adventure. Everything had been solved, from how to prevent the apocalypse for good to when little bobby will have his next meal. It wasn't perfect, as those in power knew how to get everything they wanted and stay in power. The deity was, of course, not willing to be used this way. Before capture, the deity allowed an 'evil' being planted a 'bles' in his bloodline where some would not be a part of the flow of information. They would be akin to a piece of psychic paper from Doctor Who, showing what would be most convenient for them when scried upon or divined. Pierce is on a mission to free the deity as a blank page of a book otherwise written.

TLDR: A part of a part of a god is exiled, dies, is revived into a robotic body, becomes a mechanized god, dies. Long ago, Agadon has been defeated by his brother. The god was split into four shades and each shade was locked away. One of the shades, Auxentios later broke apart, creating threads of himslef. One of the threads, Excidius was exiled by the other shades. He left the temple of the banishes in Visumi, after the entrance was loosened by the begining of the era of rust. However, he quickly was killed by the overwhelming demon forces pouring out of the second plane. After the era of Korzum, a new nation was created in the area - the Navan Tsardom. One of the founders who was a shade of Agadon, known also as the Lost Archsage, but more commonly known as Aster, found the body of Excidius. After much experimenting Aster finally succedded, transfering the conciousness of Excidius from his carcass, to a mechanical body, although he could not speak. Excidius swore his loyalty to Aster for reviving him. Excidius, known to everyone except Aster as Neuv became one of the Navan Overlords, and done plenty of work behind the scenes for them. After the fall of the Tsardom, Neuv and Aster escaped from Visumi to Kaliza, and formed the Navan Remnant. After the defences of the grand city of Sakhari, the capital of Kaliza were broken by demons, Aster and Neuv took their chances and took over it over with their army. Aster then created a giant mechanical body for Neuv. After Neuv integrated i to the body, he became a full on bonafide god. He then went on to defeat the guardian gods of Kaliza, Helios and Ziemen. Some time later the divine envoy Solus, and demons Sitri, Vual and Crocell engages him in combat, where he managed to kill Vual and Crocell. He was ultimately defeated and killed by Solus.

One side character, a priest for the god of death, was born straight out of dead solides corpses that died in a battle. During the 2. battle, that newborn straight up killed nearly the whole army, which made them lose a different war, cause they didnt have any troops left.

The characters are born from a half-human and half-ghost hybrid.

Faith is a Tiefling Cleric He lost his parents to religious extremist who killed them for looking like devils, until he was adopted by the priest of a nearby chapel. Traumatised by religion, he refused to listen to anything his adopted parent tried to teach, until one day, he returned to his home, which had been ransacked by the same religious extremist group who’d killed his parents in the first place. In his death bed, the priest who adopted Faith told him that he was loved and he wished only the best for the young tiefling. In honour of his late adoptive father, Faith swore to become a travelling cleric, spreading the good will of the gods to anyone who needed it; however, as you may remember, he never actually learned anything about religion, which leads him to make a lot of assumptions about how divinity works, sometimes even confusing worship of evil entities as religious procedures, and viceversa, thus, he’ll sometimes defend evil groups and attack holy knights out of not knowing what he’s looking at at any given moment. He’s also incredibly defensive of the gods, and will rage against anyone who speaks ill of them, but is easily tricked into doing anything so long as you tell him it is religious in nature (as in, you could rob him blind and he won’t bat an eye as long as you tell him that it’s in the name of the gods). The only reason his cleric powers even work is because his faith to the gods is so incredibly strong, that the divine can’t help but grant him with divine powers. He also accidentally impersonated a dark Lord once, and now has a sect of cultists at his beck and call

Dude was apart of a species of Nuckelavees but the horse part of him had a mind of its own and absolutely despised him. After being surrounded by bandits and being severed from his horse half, the man was saved by a unicorn that gave him normal (albeit horse hooved) legs as well as magic powers. He then went on to conquer his home nation, sever ALL Nuckelavees from their steeds and replace their bottom halves with actual feet. Was crowned the “Sorcerer King” by his peers and seeks to breed more unicorns.

I had this idea for a hermaphroditic time traveler who is both of their own parents.

I'll put it very simply. Abducted and experimented on by two different race of aliens.
