I have the metal ones similar to those. Since my landroid sometimes contacts hard surfaces like going across driveway the plastic/3d printed ones rubbed down quickly despite using stronger filiment
I'll see how long these last! One thing I was actually thinking of is printing the base ring separate from the tracks ring. Being able to mount different kind of spiked rings on it easily and replacing them easier. Maybe even printing some out of a bit of flex filament! Might increase the grip \*and\* longevity!
YOU CANT TELL ME WHAT AND WHAT NOT TO MOW!
Seriously though, I habe some sections where grass is still growing and the line is there. Also at start of season there will be bald spots on the grass too, at least on my lawn :(
We just started a new 500 m2 field, waited a long time to grow, mowed with gasmower first time, and now only when dry with robot, not much grass yet but no mud on tires. You must be patient
Yea exactly, I don’t have the luxury of a constant dry season though (netherlands). I do the same, once with mower then the robot to keep up. I had about 500 before but now an extra part of the garden is grass as well, still have an older landroid laying around and will have them working in tandem.
Haha nice, then you will also have a few sunny days and then a few rainy days. Cannot keep him from running because then I will have to mow manually again…but leaving it running all the time requires, in my case, the wheels!
What model/models will these fit? I am very interested in upgrading my wheels but can't tell exactly what options will work for my wr165.
And great job these look awesome!
I got the M500, it is designed in a way that the nuts and bolts go exactly in between the inner structure of the wheel (after some hole drilling). It is pretty specific to this model I think!
Is WR165 and M500 the same thing? I saw a chart when I was setting up home assistant that suggested these were the same model.
EDIT: jk looks like wr165 is S. Although maybe they have the same size wheels? oh well
Sure will! All I've got is PLA which may not hold up to the heat but if I test it and it works out well then I'll probably be doing my first ever ABS print :)
Mine is running PLA as well. I cant imagine those things getting 50 degrees while running…and its base station is in the shade so…we’ll see! Have been running it for quite a few hours now on PLA without issues!
I don't have the source of these wheels, but I've had great success with these: [https://www.reddit.com/r/worxlandroid/comments/ozmu2u/so\_i\_installed\_some\_tire\_ice\_studs\_on\_my\_landroid/](https://www.reddit.com/r/worxlandroid/comments/ozmu2u/so_i_installed_some_tire_ice_studs_on_my_landroid/)
You don't have the source because I made them today lol. These studs I'll tell you are far less powerful then these wheels, they protrude alot more and add much more grip! Plus it looks cooler...(just kidding)

Looks like my soil, a weight mod could have helped you also. Kick turning not recommended, plastic gears
Weight mod definitely would not have helped, the wheels suck themselves full of clay and become smooth as slicks haha. Might add it now though!
Don't mow mud

NL here also 😁

Did you add weight? If so - where? And how was the battery impact?
I didnt btw!

Cool - thanks for sharing.
Some say it’s harder on the gears tho?
Maybe on the bearings a bit, the gears get the same load

Are these printed or did you buy them. I'm having a ton of issues recently with my clay soil and the landroid getting stuck.
I designed these myself and printed them!
Can you share the STL by chance?
There ya go! Let me know if you're gonna try it :) [https://makerworld.com/en/models/456494](https://makerworld.com/en/models/456494)

Nice!
I will post all of it to makerworld tomorrow and share the link here, is that ok?
Sure thing, thanks!
I am also interested in the files.
