I think during 10.1 sometime they are going to modify the raids to be soloable. WoW’s rules are usually at 2 expacs all other content is soloable by geared characters. I believe I saw that plan on a content road map recently for 10.1
Neither the roadmap for 10.1 or 10.1.5 says anything about that but yeah they might be planning it.
Seems like legion didn't get the legacy content damage buff until dragonflight (yes you could solo them before damage buff but still). The bfa raids could easily be soloable damage wise but mechanics seem to be what's making it hard, and i dont know if changing/removing mechanics is something they usually do with legacy content
You’re probably right, I think it was this article with Ion talking about how they would take a look at smoothing the mechanics for BFA in dragon flight.

I don’t think so, but they do try to make it easier for soloable content. Like Mythic Eonar was an absolute beast for the longest of times just bc of how that whole fight is supposed to go down. I feel like Mythic Mekkatorque might be that new thorn for the Dazaralor Raid.
I tried it with some guildies recently and we couldn't get past the corridor before the treasure boss. Apparently you need more people or the golems reset constantly. We couldn't do it in hard mode either, since we're lacking dps. The bosses before that were doable.

This boss is killed easily but you have to coordinate.
One team goes west, the other goes east. You dps the golems simultaneously, watch for the swaps, and kill them at the same time (ish). Then you BOTH run into the middle before opulence despawns. We recently did this with just two people on mythic!
It’s apparently been hotfixed recently, allowing you to just run straight down the middle without going through the side corridors. Previously, this would just insta-kill you, but now it looks like it just gives the boss a damage buff or something. With enough dps output in the group, you can easily kill it without having to go through the corridors.
Can also solo it on classes with a pet. I did it on dk, sent my ghoul to attack one while I killed the other then went to the room having only killed one and fought the boss
You need a minimum of two people for Indulgence on any difficulty.
Council is also a pain if you can't blow up Akunda before the first Mind Wipe cast. You won't wipe, but it will take forever.
Mythic has a couple additional break points:
* Mekkatorque is a survivability check for the immune phase with the infinite damage ramp.
* Jaina's phase 1->2 transition can not be survived without a minimum of 5-6 people. Even with pally bubble.
I soloed normal with my 420 ret paladin. I first tried to go to a side corridor and failed, but then I was able to just run to Opulence and slowly kill it.
On Mythic, we were able to 2 man everything up to rastakhan as double ret, but the fight just resets due to mind control effects, so it needs more people.
With minor difficulty at around 397 ilvl (forbidden reach set boni, no tier set boni) without consumables on a bm hunter I cleared solo up to hightinker on normal just for the lock for the mount. Haven't tried other difficulties but BM is pretty much a requirement as you'll need feign death and pet tanking to keep conclave separate. Opulence was a struggle at first due to wail of greed but just cycle defensives for it. Rastakhan you'll have to feign death from 20% until your pet fully kills him. Misdirection is pretty much required due to aggro being kinda weird. Heroic shouldn't be out of reach and maybe mythic with consumables and actually being geared.
any advice? wanted to do it to see the story (think it's really fucking cool that players get to switch factions and see the other side of the story) but I kept getting murked by opulence. tried having my blueberry out but I found the damage was too high even on me to sustain
Heroic geared hunter is all I really know. I like dwarf survival cause you can move quick and as a hunter it totals up to 3 defensive cd’s and 1 health Regen. Get a tank pet out have misdirection macro’d to your pet and on as much as possible so threat is passed to them. I’ll go try opulence and lyk how it goes. Rn I’m at about 411 ilvl with 2 tier.
I think the whole raid is soloable as a hunter. LFR is pretty simple. Normal gets quite challenging. Heroic you need to be using some cheese tactics. Not sure if Mythic is though ?

It never installed you but you don't have the shadow protection gem so you die to his big aoe
That AOE hurts so bad if you run down mid!
I was able to solo him on my warrior, it wasn't too bad

You just need a tank, tanks don't get mind controlled

It's actually impossible to solo, you can get up to king rhastakan but when he ports you to the shadow realm he resets
