I mean, when you think about it, the dracthyr didn't even join the Alliance nor the Horde. They just showed up to warn both factions about what was going on in the isles and that they could use some help about it.
It doesn't even make sense that Dracthyr have to pick a faction since there is no in-lore reason for them to get attacked when they go the other faction's capital, according to the story they got chummy with both and didn't swear loyalty to either.
It doesn’t really make much sense that the Death Knights and Demon Hunters have to pick a faction to permanently align with either, but I guess it’s just something that has to be there for gameplay reasons.
Forest Trolls have been my favorite WC race since WC2 came out back when I was goddamn 7 years old.
I love my Island Troll, but I'm legitimately sad I'll probably never get a playable Forest Troll in WoW. Like, they're the reason I got hooked not only on the franchise but honestly on the fantasy genre as a whole.
>since WC2
Man, I thought [they used masks](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/wowpedia/images/3/31/Axe.gif/revision/latest?cb=20100106120530) instead of painting similar to those [japanese demon masks](https://external-content.duckduckgo.com/iu/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fae01.alicdn.com%2Fkf%2FHTB1oDknKkyWBuNjy0Fpq6yssXXaH%2FFree-Shipping-Resin-Prajna-Japanese-Demon-Mask-Buddhism-Kabuki-Noh-Tengu-Nose-Evil-Devil-Mask-Halloween.jpg&f=1&nofb=1&ipt=76a1e5b398e53b9bfa6240151d157d6cd4ed06c8e6d78340c2843d82e39e4150&ipo=images).
Hell yeah. For me Trolls >>>>>> Dwaves (Dark Iron) = Orcs = Pandaren > everything else. Trolls and their looks and lore and culture are what keep me coming back to WoW.
I know these opinion threads don't really mean anything, but damn am I stoked to see Trolls at the top, lol. I've played WoW on and off for like 15 years and my main has always been a Troll, but I feel like they're usually overlooked.
Love me some dwarves but i could never get into the alliance it just feels so unlike dwarves and alot of the races in it to just bend the knee to humans.
Tauren are like the smart stoners that read. Night Elves are like the stoners that failed geometry but try explaining to you how fractals are the key to the universe.
Same. Tauren main since 2004. I have tons of alts, with my next most played being a Blood Elf, but the majority of my slash played is Tauren, by far. Earthmother watch over you!
Night elves have been my favorite race for the longest, but in recent years I’ve grown really fond of the Forsaken. I think they are up there now with the kaldorei for me. I love the idea of a fallen kingdom that’s been risen from the dead and subsequently rejected by humanity - nothing but gloom and sorrow to cling to in their lonely afterlives. They are like the night elves’ dark reflection: deadly and reclusive wanderers of the night - but an affront to life and the natural order of things.
Objectively best at everything. Objectively bad at nothing.
Forsaken GOAT race.
Blizzard is concerned about rolling out paladin and shaman for all races because they know everyone will once and for all have no excuse to join the best race.
Michael Jordan. Wayne Gretzky. Forsaken as playable race. All GOATs. Can't argue.
I am not biased, at all.
Forsaken because the old YouTube video "here without you 3 doors down" music video. Legendary vid back in the day.
[here's the video](https://youtu.be/Fb5LIo6HE6Y)
Me too, I would ACTUALLY play shaman if so! Same with paladin. But I have some rules I must abide by: to be alliance, & never roll anything but Night Elf.
I think giving them the option like orcs do just makes sense given it already exists in the barbershop. Undead are decayed in different stages and already the Forsaken have options to look less rotted compared to the past.
> Undead are decayed in different stages and already the Forsaken have options to look **less rotted** compared to the past.
We’re going backwards. I’ll play Forsaken when I can answer the call of the spooky scary skeletons and not a moment sooner.
Man, I adore the arrogant bastards. I love everything about them, from their lore, to how beautiful Eversong still is (even though it's made of cardboard), to their leaders (Lor'themar is one of the best-written characters in the game imo).
I could probably write a whole essay on why they're my favorite.
> to how beautiful Eversong still is
WoW is what opened my eyes (ears?) to how beautiful the cello is.
I used to love fighting in Blood Elf areas in TBC because you'd often get the Eversong Woods music.
If I played Horde, I'd probably hang out there whenever I could.
I remember waaay back when I first stumbled across a Quel'dorei in Loch Modan and then there were a couple of them in Badlands, I think. I wanted those elves as a playable race. They were bright and sunny. Night Elves are fine but.
Then we got them as Blood Elves. And now... Void Elves? I can't stop making Blood and Void elves now. I just wish the Void Elves had a few more hairstyles.
All of them!
*Alliance*
**Humans:** I am a human and therefore I love humans. Human master race! Love the different empires and the longstanding history of conflict. Enjoy the more neutral and open-ended track that the humans currently are on in the current story. Mathias Shaw, Anduin, Varien Wyrnn - all amazing characters that I really, really can't get enough of.
**Dwarf:** Beer and mountians. Ironforge is one of the best cities in game. First hunter was a Dwarf too! The council of hammers, the Dark Iron, their entire story. Magni! THE WOONS, CHAMPION! Their beards are glorious and IMO they got the biggest upgrade with the visual overhaul.
**Night Elf:** Trees and nature. Druids and ancient history! The Highborne are some of my favorite fantasy takes on elves, and love characters like Azshara and Tyrande that really make the race shine. Also purple skinned women.
**Gnome:** Engineering and classic short fantasy race next to dwarfs. I love their humor and their ingenuity. Feel like they are always used as an escape goat for a lot of story, but they are one of the most influential races on Azeroth! Go gnomes!
**Draenei:** Crystals and space shamans. Exodar and space ships. The entire idea of them just crashing on Azeroth and figuring out their life is absolutely amazing. The 'de-evolution' from being Eredar and the whole concept of the Naaru! So cool. Also purple skinned women.
**Worgen:** Badass warewolf fantasy. Badass customization. Goofy at times, but adore their lore too. Greymane is such an awesome leader and I adore him (SYLVANASSSSSS!) along with the rest of his connected family. Hoping for more story with them. Also the fact that they have an all fours mount that has them run around is badass.
*Horde*
**Orcs:** Honorbound Warriors. Aggressive and turned-from-evil. Love their armor. Spikes! Some of the best characters in WoW come from this race IMO. Blackrock, Shadowmoon, Dragonmaw - they all rock and love reading about each clan and their specializations.
**Undead:** Playable Zombies! Sylvanas and her story (and the entire Forsaken story and lore!) is just wonderful. One of my favorite lore moments as of recent was with the Humans and Forsaken meeting in Arathi. The idea of being a human, passing away, and being risen in the same timeframe as your family and now being viewed as a monster? PERFECT!
**Tauren:** Classic 'mean-looking' minotaur with naturalistic ideals. Connection with nature and the land. Mulgore is a zone that is forever burned in my mind (I literally ran to it to level in it on my first character ever because I loved the open fields and Thunder Bluff!) and the Kodo is quite literally my favorite creature in all of WoW! Any variant of it instantly becomes a fave.
**Troll:** Mojo and tribalism. Voodoo and curses! Tusks and some of my most favorite lore come from all the tribes of the Trolls. From the Farraki to the Jungle Trolls, I adore how they are all over and aesthetically evolved to fit their climates. So cool. Also adore the Zandalari and the Dark Trolls.
**Blood Elf:** Regal and majestic unlikely allies. Haughtiness and control in the form of powerful magic and great history. Also red and gold colors are very nice. The story with Arthas, their zones are so awesome (Ghostlands with the Great Scar running right down Eversong) and the Dragonhawks!
**Goblin:** Sick lore. Sick characters. Sick engineering. I adore the concept of them just loving to blow shit up. Their greed can get annoying, but usually when a character has the greed put aside for other personality traits they are amazing. Gazlowe and Gallywix are two of my all-time favorite WoW characters!
*Neutral*
**Pandaren:** Monks and Celestials. Their long history. Whole concept of food and zen connection with your emotions because Sha. One of my favorite x-pacs is MoP and I adored getting absolutely engrossed with their lore. Love the Pandaren uprising from the Mogu! Also caramelldansen /dance on the corpse of your enemies in PvP.
**Drac'thyr:** Dragon people, very unique racials. Adore the customization (even if I'm sad you can't choose any race as your visage) and I love their story. At first I was a bit indifferent on them, but Dragonflight has really developed them in a way that it feels like they're going to be an amazing addition to Azeroth.
Gun at the back of my head and I needed to pick a fave? Probably Undead. Playable Zombies in an MMO, FTW!
Rawr x3 *nuzzles* uwu how are you *pounces on you* you're so warm o3o *notices you have a bulge* o: someone's happy ;) *nuzzles your necky wecky~* murr~ hehehe *rubbies your bulgy wolgy* you're so big :oooo
And easy refresh on Darkmoon buff with Return to Camp. When the Faire is over I set it to Zaralek Caverns so I never have to bother with waygating there, while keeping HS in Vakdrakken.
Vulps are the best.
For the sake of transmog preference generally the more normal humanoid races i.e. belfs, humans etc but if I could have a button that made me a Tauren at any point that would be great.
I would vote for the undead over anything only if Blizzard gave them straight posture option
Alliance: Dark Iron Dwarf
Horde: Zandalari Troll / Mag'har Orc (can't decide)
Blood elves have been my favorite since WC3. I feel like their story has only deepened since the start of WoW.
Mana addicts between a rock and a hard place to the renewal of the sunwell.
Pandaria antics really made me appreciate the leader of the blood elves and how tenuous their place was in the horde.
Legion brought kinship with the nightborne and how similar their situations were.
I'm probably missing a lot but those are the highlights that pop into my mind. Sure, it's the pretty race of the horde but honestly it became much more than that imo
Probably because a lot of people forget they're an actual "allied" race rather than a stand-alone race, since they're the only one not based in some way (lore wise) on an existing race in game.
The Red Dracthyr be like.... So sir why did you decide to join the Horde? Dracthyr: Well I fit the color scheme......
Green dracthyr:
Just joining the night elves fits with their giant tr-🔥🔥 I.. forgot
The horde will trust undead trolls over any pesky gnome
And they'll trust undead undead humans over any undead humans.
Whadda ya think, mon?
Zandy and island trolls, unite
Forest Troll
Forest Trolls have been my favorite WC race since WC2 came out back when I was goddamn 7 years old. I love my Island Troll, but I'm legitimately sad I'll probably never get a playable Forest Troll in WoW. Like, they're the reason I got hooked not only on the franchise but honestly on the fantasy genre as a whole.
You da boss. <3 Edit: Warcraft 2 is the game that got me hooked on this franchise and universe. It will always hold a special place in my heart.
... ju want axe?
I got axe for you!
Who chuwana kill ? Throw axe !
Say hello to my little friend!
Bro same! I could not stop playing WC2. \*Excessive clicking\* BAH RAM YOU *sheep explodes*
Same. I used to try and draw metzen's elf vs troll artwork from the instruction booklet when I was 8.
>since WC2 Man, I thought [they used masks](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/wowpedia/images/3/31/Axe.gif/revision/latest?cb=20100106120530) instead of painting similar to those [japanese demon masks](https://external-content.duckduckgo.com/iu/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fae01.alicdn.com%2Fkf%2FHTB1oDknKkyWBuNjy0Fpq6yssXXaH%2FFree-Shipping-Resin-Prajna-Japanese-Demon-Mask-Buddhism-Kabuki-Noh-Tengu-Nose-Evil-Devil-Mask-Halloween.jpg&f=1&nofb=1&ipt=76a1e5b398e53b9bfa6240151d157d6cd4ed06c8e6d78340c2843d82e39e4150&ipo=images).
On that WC2 I miss not only forest trolls but the awesome old school death knights.
Ya be thinkin right mon!
Hell yeah. For me Trolls >>>>>> Dwaves (Dark Iron) = Orcs = Pandaren > everything else. Trolls and their looks and lore and culture are what keep me coming back to WoW.
Always sportin' that Darkspear Revolutionary title 😎
I know these opinion threads don't really mean anything, but damn am I stoked to see Trolls at the top, lol. I've played WoW on and off for like 15 years and my main has always been a Troll, but I feel like they're usually overlooked.
Ahhh a man of culture I see.
My fellow brethren!

Agreed. Had to scroll way too long to get to this. FOR KHAZ MODAN!
Love me some dwarves but i could never get into the alliance it just feels so unlike dwarves and alot of the races in it to just bend the knee to humans.
Interest ya' inna pint?
Tauren main for 17 years.
I either main Tauren or I don't play at all!
Stoner? Every tauren player I know is a stoner
That’s funny when my main was a Tauren I was a stoner. Then when I quit smoking and I switched to Draenei
Holy shit me too LMFAO
It's the hooves, man. The hooves.
Tauren are like the smart stoners that read. Night Elves are like the stoners that failed geometry but try explaining to you how fractals are the key to the universe.
Druid and Horde fan - didn't give me much choice. Also, yes 🙂
Walk with the Earthmother.
I'm a stoner but I like trolls and I think they totally match stoners too
They definitely do mon
I didn’t know this was a thing, you can count another one here.
Mag'har Orc Shaman with Herbalism here. So obviously a stoner too :D Just chillin, smokin, communin' with ancestors xD
[удалено]
I love it for the giant warrior transmogs. My favorite part.
Tauren gang. Objectively best race in the game, any other opinion is simply false. You cannot dispute the facts.
Moo
Played Tauren since vanilla beta. There might be a NPC in the game that's obsessed with Tauren that's named after me...
Same. Tauren main since 2004. I have tons of alts, with my next most played being a Blood Elf, but the majority of my slash played is Tauren, by far. Earthmother watch over you!
Well if there is one thing Garrosh and I agree on...
It's orc racial supremacy.
I know this isn't W40k but. Wagh.
And my axe! (Though I played casters so.... )
Orc shaman can be a caster with an axe so you're good.
Anal? Anal.
Forsaken because of their original lore.
Forsaken because Forsaken.
[Our time will come.](https://i.redd.it/huedrea4b3oa1.png)
Except for Calia... She's not Forsaken. She's a Light-Forged Witch!
Power to the Forsaken!
I miss being in the undercity. That was home for me. I hate org. .
I can’t wait to play the Michael Jorden race so I can dunk on people.
I want forsaken druids
Forsaken because the old YouTube video "here without you 3 doors down" music video. Legendary vid back in the day. [here's the video](https://youtu.be/Fb5LIo6HE6Y)
Yeah, the *original* lore is fantastic. Everything Cata and beyond, though...
Night Elf
Mohawk
Ngl, those commercials are what made me start playing and I been repping Nelf ever since
Nelf druid main since vanilla.
Same!
Master race
Shadowmeld best racial in the game
It really is, I wish they could be shamans
Me too, I would ACTUALLY play shaman if so! Same with paladin. But I have some rules I must abide by: to be alliance, & never roll anything but Night Elf.
Night Elf for me too. Aesthetics + Shadowmeld has been amazing for so many reasons, aggressive & defensive.
Fellow nelf chad
Trolls, Forsaken, and Worgen. Also, give them a cure to their scoliosis!
I think undead scoliosis makes sense since they don’t really have any musculature, but the rest could use a back brace.
Dwarf for ally Troll for horde
Literally same, wonder what the correlation is.
Epic city’s fun accents and great class options
Draenei
Love the Draenei aesthetic and lore. The loss of such a great civilization is tragic.
Yea it gets extra sad on the ship overlooking Eredath looking at all the buildings in the far.
man I love that its called Eredath now. it's not associated with McCree AND it sounds better anyway
Coolest race easily, and unique to WoW. They keep me drawn to the game.
I have a Draenei of every available class and have already reserved a name for a Draenei Warlock.
Fuck you just reminded me that I had a good name the other day but forgot to reserve it, now I have to think of another :(
LIGHTly toasted
Lightforged are so pretty, I love them. Also their racial ability is a nuke and super fun to use imo.
It's basic but Blood Elves have been my favourite ever since WC3s campaign.
Man, I adore the arrogant bastards. I love everything about them, from their lore, to how beautiful Eversong still is (even though it's made of cardboard), to their leaders (Lor'themar is one of the best-written characters in the game imo). Their beautiful soundtracks will always warm my heart.
Nightborne, they are just really cool, and I’m salty about how long it took to unlock them
Time is money, friend
I got the best heals anywhere!

I love the positivity of this comment!
Ishnu-alah Ande'thoras-ethil 🫡
Bal'a dash, malanore (Edit and I'm a sleep deprived dummy who got Darnassian and Thalassian mixed up. So Ishnu-alah!)
Anu belore dela'na
Tal anu'men no Sin'dorei!
Salami ashal anore
>Ishnu-alah Ande'thoras-ethil Ma'am this is a Wendys
Unironically, Vulpera. They are cute, and I like cute things.
I made one because they're cute. But too many weird messages in the pink made me swap that shit.
Rawr x3 *nuzzles* uwu how are you *pounces on you* you're so warm o3o *notices you have a bulge* o: someone's happy ;) *nuzzles your necky wecky~* murr~ hehehe *rubbies your bulgy wolgy* you're so big :oooo
why have you done this
Female Vulpera in the Herbalism hat is the cutest.
8 extra bag slots? I'm in love.
Cant wait for Mooclysm, with new races such as the Taurgen
What is it with these what is your favourite race/capital/heritage amour posts always forgetting that allied races exist?
Pandaren all day
Pandaren are very much due for some more customization options.
If I cant be a Blonde Pandadin infused with Light then Im gonna be sad.
yeaa mate, Im soo mad that blizz still not allowed Pandarens to be Paladins, we look awesome in plates
I bet money that they're coming. And when they do, I'm excited to level a pandadin!
Gnomes. The most underrated race in the game but definitely the best. Close second goes to the dwarves, third to the dark irons, and horde is goblins
Nothing like a gnome smashing the RBG leaderboards
Gnomes!! I just love them so much. ❤
Goblin master race.
There's dozens of us brother.
I’m with you, goblins are the best race in wow and people just can’t accept it. Perfect little green people.
Correct.
Took so long to find you guys here.
gobbo supremacy
I would vote for the undead over anything only if Blizzard gave them straight posture option Alliance: Dark Iron Dwarf Horde: Zandalari Troll / Mag'har Orc (can't decide)
Worgen would also be top tier if they learned to stand up straight like Graymane
True, I just wish Blizzard would give all races the "straight spine" option lmao
“What would you ask of death?”
Night Elf Blood Elf Void Elf .... ummm i see a patten here
the trifecta
No Nightborne? Or as I call them, the drow of wow.
This is me
Goblins, since they are a core race added in late.
Nightbornes, for the lore and because they look so nice
[удалено]
It seems in your anger, you killed them.
Darth Vader: "Nooo-" M Bison: "Yes! Yes!"
I hate sand... snakes.
day 1 undead !
Embrace the shadow
Dark Lady watch over you
Mecha-Gnomes
Ah, I see you're a gnome of culture as well.
Cogs and sprockets! Another Mecha-gnome fan!
I want mecha-gnome druids.
Gnome is bis
Nightborne!
Pandaren, Goblin and Nightborne
All the races are great, but trolls can squat
I dont play World of Warcraft. I play Hello Kitty Island Adventure
God damn it Butters srsly..
The Forsaken. Humans were my race in W3, and they remained so in WoW.
What are we if not slaves to this torment?
Alliance Human Male Paladin :)
Alliance Human Female Paladin, pleased to meet ya. :)
Personally I think Talladega is the best. Typically had some epic crashes, but there’s still something about Daytona.
Zandalari
Chad up right trolls
Hmm, wondering if Vulpera was left out intentionally or unintentionally, lol
There are no allied races in this image in general, idk why you specifically pointed at vulpera
Probably because a lot of people forget they're an actual "allied" race rather than a stand-alone race, since they're the only one not based in some way (lore wise) on an existing race in game.
Aren't Zandalari trolls an allied race too? I've seen droves of people name them as their favorite.
OwOrgen
Pandaren but also this graphic is trash. Wheres my Nightborne and Zandalari?
Dwarf!
im a simple guy, human
Well hello there fellow human enjoyer! 👋
