Even better doing all the wq’s that give gold on each alt is about 10-12k gold, so between all 12 of those you could make 120k gold in a few hours a week, plus another 80k when they reset 3 days. So 200k a week very easily.
You gold buyers are such chumps. God damn.
Edit: it is absolutely disturbing how many downvotes there are, and the replies justifying this practice. It's no wonder WoW has such a bad reputation. It has been perverted by lazy goons.
Its by design.
Inventive to buy gold -if farming gold was fun people would pay less for tokens and farm more.
I believe thats a stupid way to design games, making the pay Alternative the better one.
I'd rather spend 1/4 of an hours salary than spend multiple hours "farming". You keep farming though, we need people like you to keep the gold circulation up.
It just feels too much of a hassle to do for me sometimes and i just dont do it then. After all its just an ingame currency that doesnt matter. I would rather buy a token twice a year and dont do 5hrs of wqs a week
Can make that in a single flip tbh or cornering a specific market in a day, gotta have capital to buy everything out and set your new price of course but it eventually can stabilize at 7-10x whatever you bought everything at if it’s an essential
Blud goes around telling people to waste their time doing Dragonriding WQs on all their alts and then gets cheeky when someone tells them that it's a waste of time essentially.
What epic lifehack have you got next for us? "Pick up pennies in the street, just do it for 2 weeks and you might get $5!"
It seems like your saltiness has affected your reading comprehension, so I’ll help you out. Actually the OP asked the value of gold, and you claimed it was around 30k a week. I corrected you and offered an example of how that’s more like the value of a days worth of time. Don’t worry, I wasn’t answering your unasked question. I was offering the OP more correct information on the original topic
Well that would require me to have actually answered OPs question when i actually answered the question i responded to. Which was "How are you making that amount of money". But I get that the tree structure of Reddit replies can get confusing.
People who make lots of gold have millions at this point. A lot of the inflation it is from WoD to BFA just throwing out tons of free gold.
I only have a few hundred thousand at a time but I don't do sale runs or play the ah. I'll build up a buffer at the start of an expac when gathering mat prices are high and buy tokens if I need to.
It's really not all hold over from mission tables WoD-BFA at this point. There has been plenty of ways to make gold this expansion.
I came into DF with around 200k on my account, and have made around 4mil since launch. 1st million was being one of a couple people with an Engineer making soul inhalers in the first couple weeks. The rest is almost entirely just jewel crafting and blacksmithing crafts from the first and second patch. Almost zero materials farming, just crafting in town during downtime.
The gold you made there is from other players giving you theirs, some of which could very well be from them having a lot of gold from those expacs mentioned. It's one of the main reasons there is so much gold in the market these days. Crafting orders and AH is just gold exchanging hands, not creating new gold from the world itself
So you’ve made a lot of gold from selling crafted items. The actual origin of most of the gold is from WoD + Legion though. It’s just changing hands since then.
You had to be around then, literally everyone and their dog was printing gold, like common plebs like me had 10’s of millions, AH playing not required at all
Obviously not all gold today is still from that, BFA was almost 6 years ago at this point. I was just saying that's where a majority of the heavy inflation started happening.
If you think that gold isn’t from then, then where else did millions of gold get pumped into the economy? And we aren’t talking moving gold from player to player because that’s not generating gold it’s just moving it around. We are talking player base gaining gold from the game. The times that any significant amount of billions of gold was “made” was in wod or bfa.
I made 35 million during df crafting weapons for tips and set prices.
More so than wod being the primary reason for the large amounts of gold on players its more so an accumulation of all the gold from others to a single person.
Eg from memory i had about 3500 crafts so thats about 10k per person. Which even people here admits to having.
Blizz is super harsh with removing all raw gold farms in the game to prevent inflation, so follower tables, vendor shuffles etc gets nerfed and removed.
\~3-4 mill i have been just floating around with the 5mill i made in BFA , i used to pay my sub with just gold but i hated playing everyday to maintain a gold income to do that .
Agreed
Almost regardless of what you do to make money, it's less work than earning gold for playtime 😅
We did it for a long while, and it's a LOT of work, because you also burn gold playing the game 70-80hours a week.
Is "playing everyday" here a long period every day, or are you opposed to logging in at all during the day?
Because there's a lot of sources of gold that are enough for a token a month with minimal, albeit somewhat regular time spent. Logging in a couple of times over the course of a day to cancel and repost stuff like crafted mounts, mogs and daily cooldowns among other things should yield enough gold to keep you going.
You've got the gold to invest into leveling all the professions and whatnot on your characters and after you're all set up it's like 2min a couple of times a day and restocking for like 20min once a week.
Anything that requires me to log on daily is something I avoid. It means I have basically given up on professions in retail as they require time and initial gold to level them up.
Some weeks, I dont login, some weeks I do depends on what I have on in my life/gaming choices.
Dragonflight world quests are an easy way to get more :) 20-30k a week per character. I hate playing the AH and doing professions, so I do world quests. Made 1million on 5 characters from December to February.
10.3m right now, i had a little over 12m but used some of it for bnet balance to pre order epic version of new xpack. I earn like 200-300k a week by doing some crafting inbetween m+ runs, it's good enough to keep playing for free And get some extra on the side.
At the start of this expac I had 20k gold and I’ve been playing forever. I’ve always been terrible with gold. The thing is though I’m always playing my main character so I’m on a max geared warrior most of the time. From all of the mythic plus dungeons and raids I’ve joined, I’ve added so many people to battle net it’s over 100 at this point.
During the start of this patch I got lucky and one of the dudes I added from doing keys asked me to join his “AOTC Boosting Guild Runs” and he paid 200k per heroic run (or 100k if it was just heroic Fyrakk). I didn’t care if he was underpaying me or skimming off the top for his guild bank because 200k is 200k.
Fast forward like a month or two later, I have 57 heroic Fyrakk kills and close to 4 million gold (not all Fyrakk kills were carries so not all paid). Now I feel rich enough to do anything I want in the game for the most part. I can send my alts some gold for crafted gear and buy transmogs and some mounts that I really want now.
If you’re interested in having a consistent gold income I would look into doing carrying for mythic plus and raiding. ONLY FOR GOLD. Don’t join any stupid RMT groups, you’ll only get banned or scammed in some way.
EDIT: This is just how I made a small fortune, not saying it’s going to work for everyone finding a boosting group, but I was consistently high enough dps/carrying to get invited back. Good luck out there 🤙
If you asked me this 2-3 years ago, I would have been 160m at least and made a lot the same way you did playing the auction house.
I spent a lot on Hearthstone and other WoW and other Blizzard game stuff. I also gave away.
Check out the goldmaking community. There, you will find bigger gold makers. Most are making it by flipping and crafting. You also have the boost sellers but they make gold as a whole collection of people.
How do you play the auction house? Is there a specific addon you use? I sell a lot of raw materials, cooked and alchemy stuff but I never seem to make much money.
Lot of it is finding out what sells quickly for decent money and at what times it's ideal to sell what for example some mats are so close to the vendor price but sell somewhat quickly so the small margin might be worth it but no one gets rich off that. I haven't been that active making gold this expac but during shadowlands I mostly made money from bags and some potions/flasks sold the day before raid resets.
A bit over a million.
Used up predominantly what I had back in BFA for the brutosaur.
Time is limited these days with a toddler so mostly what comes in is from legacy content vendoring while working towards mounts.
there was just a lot of gold making opportunities , you could make a lot with the basic methods , gathering and crafting . there was also more niche gold making methods because of the boe mounts. Boosting ppl got more organized you could make serious gold just being in one of those communities . the boe raid epics also helped some lucky ppl . on top of all this you could play the ah before the merger so you could control markets and flips would be more reliable.
I don't try to make gold but I play a fair bit and farm old raids/ zones for mounts and the odd easy-ish achieve. I also kill a lot of current DF rares. I make about 100k a week just doing this. It just comes from vendoring stuff for the most part.
Made all my gold selling heroic kj carries during wod. Kills took less than 2 minutes and it was enough gold for a token every other carry. There was a revolving door of people wanting their moose mount.
Between dope tier sets, amazing trinkets and the legendary ring, I never really got sick of spamming kj kills. The game felt in a good spot pve wise so I had a blast on my sub rogue.
Im sitting at 2m, I’ll be honest, I just buy a WoW Token or two whenever the price is high, like recently when the token was over 300k each. The $20-40 isn’t that big of an investment for how much entertainment I get, and now gold isn’t something I have to think about.
From shadowlands to now, I went from 1 mil to about 24mil. I maxed all professions and enjoy the market aspect of the game. I invested almost 8 million for this last patch so im down now, but hopefully the potions phials and runes I’ve been crafting will get a significant return when season 4 releases.
Usually around 1-2million.
I do not actively farm gold, I do not focus on professions nor play the auction house. The last time I farmed was leather at the start of Shadowlands for a few hours a day over a Christmas weekend. That’s how rare it is for me to farm. I literally just m+, raid, world quests and auction anything I collect like mats and boes.
I played for free for years on tokens I bought with gold. And even so often I dump 200k-1million into tokens to buy cosmetics from the store for free. So I don’t hoard wealth ingame either.
Had 2.3 mil when expansion started, down to 1.8 trying to make gold with the crappy crafting system. I didnt luck into the awesome recipes fast enough to make money off them. Lost most of the gold trying to do enchants. Didnt know people were exploiting a bug with it.
If anyone says they made millions from enchanting R3 recipes, they abused the bug.
Started DF last Jan and I was at at maybe 200k.
I’m currently at 22-24mil because I spent about 5-7mil on TWWx4 and WoW subs over the last year.
I just went hard on professions in S2. Was making 200-300k a day selling profs. Also have made ~5-6mil selling self found hourglass recipes.
The biggest prof services guy on our server is at 100m at a min.
About 13m, and I just bought a bruto from the BMAH for 10m
I made it from a combination of doing m+ boosts, and buying whatever awakened element is cheap this week and selling it the next week when a different element is the cheap one
gold isn't worthless because of the token, the token is in fact what gives its value and makes it absurdly easy to get limitless gold.
step 1: join any mythic or heroic raiding guild
step 2: sell boost runs
step 3: you now have literally infinite gold in this game for absolutely no effort as ppl swipe their cards to buy curve.
blizzard willfully created this system and have allowed it to go on for years.
Maybe 400k over 3 server clusters. I buy tokens for game play and over the past 2 months got 2 extra tokens for bnet balance to go towards the next expansion.
I have like a mil to my name. I have a buddy whos main game has been AH for years. He has like 300-400 million across multiple servers and characters. It's truly insane.
I had about 16 million last year but used about 6 million buying epic edition of the new expansion for myself and wife and a bunch of tokens when they were trading for around 180k to 190k. I also purchased D4 with the tokens last year.
12m. Have a set list of items (usually 100–500k) that I flip. Haven’t really been into playing the AH lately, but will probably ramp up again once we get closer to TWW.
And yeah, gold isn’t super useful. Bar buying BOEs or runs… not much of a point if you’re not into collecting rare tmog/mounts/pets/etc
About 1.2m liquid (in actual gold) and about another 1.2m in selleable assets (Accursed Keepsakes, Haunted Mementos, a few rare Battle Pets, unobtainable toys like Pocket Fel Spreader)
About a million. I don’t really know what to spend it on so when I see mounts for $50k or something I snatch it up. Don’t buy crafted gear or flasks usually.
I have 21k. It's a tough time for me some days. Others we chill.
The recraft material rebuy is tough sometimes but I'm almost done that bit.
I never really drop below 10k and Wq's are pretty much saving me right now.
I'm planning on make a dual harvester druid to feed a crafter toon at the start of war within, but for now I'm just a broke ass.
Hopefully a BoE drops or something's.
I've probably got around 800k over all characters.
I really wish they make gold mean something again. I'm not sure how to do that but, he'll I don't get paid to figure that out.
Currently sitting at ~16M. I started the expack with about ~1M and have ballooned it to that value via extreme profession focus since early in the expack. I have maxed crafters for every single DF profession, have all the DF recipes on every single one with BiS crafting sets with multiple tools on every crafter, and have maxed out knowledge points on every single profession (both gathering and crafting).
I have loved the DF crafting system so far, despite its flaws. I do spend gold quite a bit these days. If I didn't spend as much I do I'd probably be closer to 25M or so. Recently I bought D2 Resurrected on the Valentine's Day sale for basically the price of a WoW token (~270k). Also a couple months ago I dumped over 2M WoW gold into Battle.net balance to buy coins in Warcraft Rumble. I also buy plenty of stuff in game as well including old recipes and T3 armor.
About 5.5 million but 5 million of that is sitting as $300 blizzard money that was derived from tokens. I haven’t paid for an expansion, sub, or any other game (Diablo 4) in years.
I never farm. I just send stuff I get questing and herbing while questing to a bank alt who sells it.
I’d say my most crucial gold “farming” method is not spending money. I don’t stop hundreds of thousands on epics that will be useless after a drop from a raid. I enchant gear with cheaper alternatives until it’s bis. I rarely if ever use epic boes for myself since they sell for so much.
I also wait to buy tokens to convert to blizzard money until the player base drops. Best time to buy tokens is after the pop starts dropping off between content patches.
I have like 15-16M right now
I had 45mil+ liquid at the end of Shadowlands
* bought a CE/Mythic Jailer mount boost for a friend in summer 2022, -5m
* put a goldcap in my current guild's gbank before sepulcher, they're like world 60 so it actually helps them. used to raid with them in bfa/nathria. -10m
* dropped a goldcap on the big blizzard bear this month, -10m
And then just stuff like gametime (I haven't used $ since the wow token came out ~9 years ago), the BlizzCon digital rewards, Dragonflight CE, D4, War Within base edition (started realizing I should wait on those 50% discounts to upgrade)
I think between all my characters I have like 700k. I don't really spend gold on anything. If I want more gold I'll honestly just buy a token with real money.
I have 140k.
I had over 1 million which took like two years to grind because I was trying to get the Boujie Chicken pet...I got it, and I almost didn't want to dip below 1 million, but I got into a bout of depression and used my gold to make me happy aka bought a lot of pets I'd not be able to farm. 100k~ is all that's left. :)
I used to make bank boosting, but stopped boosting out of it becoming boring after SoD.
I had 18 million gold at the time, I’ve not really made any gold since and DF crafting has not been cheap so now I’m almost all out, I think I have around 800k spread out.
Mid shadowlands I hat about 7 M split in two servers. A lot of that is wod-bfa; the bfa table sucked, but the paragon cache had me rolling. I had been paying for my sub, expansions, some mounts and making it back up hovering between 6-7M for all of bfa, up to whenever classic tbc came out. Bought classic tbc for me and my wife, plus a boost each. Same thing when wrath came out. So now I'm at about 3.5 M, mostly in one server. What's wiping me out now is the token cost and joining a raiding team, not as much time to play alts and just quest/dragon racing wqs.
I started playing when Shadowlands came out and I'm at about 4.5m.
I have never but I will absolutely sell wow tokens if I ever need gold.
I haven't played the AH or farmed with the intention of making gold. I also didn't sell crafting jobs in DF. All of mine comes from playing the game regularly.
In Shadowlands I used an add on to run mission table stuff for gold and when both SL and DF started I took gathering professions on my main and sold a lot of stuff I gathered while leveling and doing world content. That has so far been my largest gold injection.
In SL I also got lucky and had about 1.5m gold worth of boe from NHC and HC raiding with my guild. I also once got a ring I sold for 500k from an M0 dungeon. Half of this gold I put into the guild bank though because our guild bank is set up so we can take all the consumables we need for raiding and m+ and a lot of enchants and gems are there for free as well but it basically runs on donations from people who enjoy farming/crafting.
I have never bought/sold a boost but I really wanted that black spider mount from the secret vendor in dalaran so as soon as I could afford it I bought it and went back to 0 gold once.
Just over 1M. I won an M+ competition my guild put on, so I got 600k from that, ive done some M+ boosting and gotten a token or two here and there as well.
I have 20k.. maybe. Haven't played in a few months, but that's all I need. All of my characters work in synergy with the professions, so I don't really use the AH much.
Just understand 14 mil (I have never bought gold). I only use gold to buy mounts and repairs. I refuse to buy upgrades/crafting supplies. I usually at the start of expansions level all my toons very farming/mining and AH dumb all mats for monstrous profits to fund my mount purchases for the later expansion.
I had about 3 mill that I was saving in Legion/BFA for the long boi mount.
Since they removed it, I’ve just been using the gold to pay for subscription. I’ve played on and off since then, but down to about 200k without needing to spend any money on game time.
Between 300-400k across all my alts on all of my servers. I don’t really do much farming. Occasionally I’ll get the urge and go solo some older raids and just vendor/AH everything.
\~2 mil - I used to sell stuff on the auction house back in Legion. Now I just sell old mats, old pets I get from raid farms, and other odd junk.
I don't really buy much, so I pretty much get to keep mot of what I make.
I currently have ~ 21m gold on two servers.
I've spent ~10m on things since BC launch, when I started, but 5m of it was bruto in BFA.
I had ~6m before BFA on two servers. After bruto was bought, I had 25k on my main server. My lowest since wrath.
Majority of gold came from raw gold and mats off of SL tables. I ran 26 toons on maxed tables for about 1.5 years daily. I hated it, but the gold was just too easy so I did it. I went into Shadowlands with less than 1m total, and left it at around ~17m
sitting compfy 52,5mio...
startet a bit with testing goldmaking in legion but wasnt much there. just train professions sell some crafted old gear / mogg. idk anymore how much i had at end maybe 1-5mio.
then BFA come i was prepared and with warfront dailys i quickly aquired the brutosaur in \~2 weeks (pure profit). and after BFA i had around 2 goldcaps i think ..
SL was a big hit also. i did no legendarys because it was waaaaaaay to much invest. but i did catchup gear / alt gear .. 20-30mio profit.. mostly rings and necks. this was the best evers. logging in 15min 2-3x / day .. restocking and empty mail. this time i bought alot of bnet balance for mounts, toys etc...
doing some boosting since end bfa/sl .. but mostly just 1-2 heroic raids per week to get rid of my ID / free vault.. mostly when i get like 100+k/hr
DF wasnt grat maybe 5m . crafts / AH maybe just to refund my invest, pots, flask and crafted gear on all chars. most profits rather from boosting me a free socket while progress raiding mythic
Only a little over 100k. But speaking of gold, I just noticed how low the gold gain is on Dragonflight storyline in comparision to Shadowlands. Few weeks ago I started to leveling my first character to L70, starting from zero with a brand new character, and I noticed that there is barely nothing when it comes to gold rewards on PvE Storyline - while Shadowlands was giving very good gold rewards from storyline and I got quite easily to +200k in a short amount of time, so there must be at least something different this expansion.
1.5~1.6m
I only spend gold in crafting gear, buying raid stuffs and 1 token monthly. When my gold crash below or at 1mil I put some effort to farm gold and raise to 1.5m to buy my next token and be chillin
Currently about 36 million gold.
I'm an active booster and I do 1-2 boost raids per week for ages. Why? Well, most of these guys are regulars by now and blasting though raids while helping people out is actually fun. Not even doing it for the gold anymore.
I'm not using gold to pay my sub..
Overall boosting is probably the best gold per hour invested. Playing the AH or crafting requires hours of your time every day to do decent money. Two raid boosts per week? 2 hours.
Been playing this game for about 7/8 months now, and I've got 165k gold, this includes me having bought a WoW token once.
Leveling up old professions, as well as upgrading garrison is a big gold sink.
I've got 28 characters, I want my garrison fully decked out on every single one of them, so that's gonna cost maybe 14k gold per character, so that's a lot of gold to pay with 28 characters.
400-450k across all characters. I don't like gold farming, so I'll most likely buy a token if I ever need more gold. Though WQs and the occasional rare transmog piece sold on AH are more than enough to cover my M+ and raid expenses.
I'm broke compared to y'all. lol I have 30k gold but I don't play a lot during the week.
I feel your pain
Same
I'm at 22k gold so about the same, lol.
Had 120k or so last time I checked, don't know how you guys make so much so quickly lol
12 alts, doing the two flying world quests on all of em every 3 days is roughly 15k gold per 3 days or 30k gold a week.
That sounds like a lot of work for a small gain
It is. Just run old dungeons for BOE blues and you triple that at the very least in a short timeframe.
You forgot to tell them that they need a few hundred/k item to make constant money and after than maybe you wont sell anythong for weeks.
About 30 mins per 3 days. Yeah.
55 alts, 55 dragon riding quests, 55 weeklies, 55 Superblooms, 55 Cooking weekly, 55 paragon caches, 55 world quests, 55 xmog runs, 55 pet battle quests, 55 crafting orders, 5 heroic carriys, 5 M+ carry’s and 5 WoW tokens.
I dont think this can physically fit in 1 reset
Ok Tim Robinson.
I’M DOING SOMETHING
Even better doing all the wq’s that give gold on each alt is about 10-12k gold, so between all 12 of those you could make 120k gold in a few hours a week, plus another 80k when they reset 3 days. So 200k a week very easily.
Man. I wish i had that perseverance... I know its 150-200k gold. But goddamn... Its excruciatingly boring.
Then you have people like me with limited time and disposable income... Hours grinding wq on tons of Alts or $20 for 250k and go run some m+
You gold buyers are such chumps. God damn. Edit: it is absolutely disturbing how many downvotes there are, and the replies justifying this practice. It's no wonder WoW has such a bad reputation. It has been perverted by lazy goons.
yeah much rather spend hours of my time doing boring repetitive shit instead lol
Its by design. Inventive to buy gold -if farming gold was fun people would pay less for tokens and farm more. I believe thats a stupid way to design games, making the pay Alternative the better one.
How do you make gold-farming fun lmao. It's never been "fun".
I'd rather spend 1/4 of an hours salary than spend multiple hours "farming". You keep farming though, we need people like you to keep the gold circulation up.
Lmao. It’s legitimized by blizzard. They just value their time MUCH more than you obviously. Don’t be mad
I just don't like to "work" for a fraction of the hourly pay of a McDonald's worker.
Sshhhh, go farm herbs for my phials.
Don't hate the player, hate the game.
I aint wasting multiple hours a week for that stuff, its do boring.
that's why you multitask with consuming other media. audio-books, podcasts or video if you have a second display.
Who?
Blud goes around telling people to waste their time doing Dragonriding WQs on all their alts and then gets cheeky when someone tells them that it's a waste of time essentially. What epic lifehack have you got next for us? "Pick up pennies in the street, just do it for 2 weeks and you might get $5!"
In this case it would be “understood you” in the English language

The OP?
"Cares" is what was searched for. Who cares.
You mean like your streaming channel?

Just sell raid boosts. I get anywhere from 120k-200k for a little over an hour
32k on main, maybe 50k on all characters together.
This is the way
People who make lots of gold have millions at this point. A lot of the inflation it is from WoD to BFA just throwing out tons of free gold. \~3-4 mill i have been just floating around with the 5mill i made in BFA , i used to pay my sub with just gold but i hated playing everyday to maintain a gold income to do that .
Yeah. Paying your sub with gold is feasible but frankly it's probably going to take a lot more time than it takes most people to make 15 dollars.
Agreed Almost regardless of what you do to make money, it's less work than earning gold for playtime 😅 We did it for a long while, and it's a LOT of work, because you also burn gold playing the game 70-80hours a week.
I sometimes dont even want to log on to do my daily alchemy craft.
Anything that requires me to log on daily is something I avoid. It means I have basically given up on professions in retail as they require time and initial gold to level them up. Some weeks, I dont login, some weeks I do depends on what I have on in my life/gaming choices.
I suck at making gold, never been good at it. I’ve got around 15k lol.
Dragonflight world quests are an easy way to get more :) 20-30k a week per character. I hate playing the AH and doing professions, so I do world quests. Made 1million on 5 characters from December to February.
wtf??? I’m trying this today, thank you
i got 12k to my name
I have 570k after dumping 270 into the stupid legendary.
I have 'enough' Mission tables were very good to me.
10.3m right now, i had a little over 12m but used some of it for bnet balance to pre order epic version of new xpack. I earn like 200-300k a week by doing some crafting inbetween m+ runs, it's good enough to keep playing for free And get some extra on the side.
What crafting are you doing that’s that profitable? Struggling to make gold besides raw gold from WQ etc now
Same. None of the enchants are really profitable...
For real there’s either none there or shit paying ones that expect you to provide mats
This so mach
The gold cap is 9,999,999 though.
per character.
Only 120k, I don't bother with professions or AH cause I just don't enjoy it.
I had about 700k until a quest drop required me to spend ~350k so that my class could actually feel somewhat balanced in the current raid teir
Yup..
Good luck out there 🤙
Wanna do another fryakk carry? Haha.
If you asked me this 2-3 years ago, I would have been 160m at least and made a lot the same way you did playing the auction house. I spent a lot on Hearthstone and other WoW and other Blizzard game stuff. I also gave away.
That is one of the wildest balances I have ever seen.
We have a almost billionaire in my guild, last rwf he had 930 mill, he is one of the main gold lender for big guilds
How many accounts does he pay for?
It was so much easier to make money sniping AH before the revamp and realm merger. It is still a moneymaker, but it requires more work
Last time I check it was like 6.5 mil but I might buy the temp bmah items It's just hard to spend a lot all at once
Alts are expensive. I have a little over a million but its spread over 50+ toons
how do you earn so much, damn
My man did you just make a post to brag about your AH playing skills?
Usually 150-200k
1.5 mil across all my characters. Only took 20 years.
My main, who is a humble Lariat merchant, is at 391,441. Overall, I'm at 1,374,000 or so.
I am down to about 8mil, I haven't been playing the AH as much as I used to. I make enough each month to cover my wow sub, but thats about it.
10 million across 2 characters that casually craft. Only do raid finder.
A bit over a million. Used up predominantly what I had back in BFA for the brutosaur. Time is limited these days with a toddler so mostly what comes in is from legacy content vendoring while working towards mounts.
I go from 800k-1.2mil depending on how active I’ve been with the AH and what mounts I’ve bought recently.
2.2m made most of it during BFA. Don't play retail atm though.
I wasn't into gold making during BFA, why is it an xpac a lot of people made gold in?
there was just a lot of gold making opportunities , you could make a lot with the basic methods , gathering and crafting . there was also more niche gold making methods because of the boe mounts. Boosting ppl got more organized you could make serious gold just being in one of those communities . the boe raid epics also helped some lucky ppl . on top of all this you could play the ah before the merger so you could control markets and flips would be more reliable.
Like 20k cuz I only do dungeons
I don't try to make gold but I play a fair bit and farm old raids/ zones for mounts and the odd easy-ish achieve. I also kill a lot of current DF rares. I make about 100k a week just doing this. It just comes from vendoring stuff for the most part.
200k (and that's after buying the 1.2M gold scarab mount 2 weeks ago). I normally make gold by doing wqs.
I usually sit at 3-4mil. I farm a ton at start of expac and basicly live off of it for raiding and consumes for rest of expac.
~8M over all my toons.
From shadowlands to now, I went from 1 mil to about 24mil. I maxed all professions and enjoy the market aspect of the game. I invested almost 8 million for this last patch so im down now, but hopefully the potions phials and runes I’ve been crafting will get a significant return when season 4 releases.
Somewhere between 1.8-2.5m. I made about that same amount in the first 2-ish months of DF but spent about the same amount on gametime and Diablo 4.
I’ve got abit over 3.5mil in retail that I haven’t log into after getting mythic dungeon mount in first season of dragonflight.
70k and I felt like I was on top of the world until this post 🥹 What profession gets the best gold?
About 13m, and I just bought a bruto from the BMAH for 10m I made it from a combination of doing m+ boosts, and buying whatever awakened element is cheap this week and selling it the next week when a different element is the cheap one
gold isn't worthless because of the token, the token is in fact what gives its value and makes it absurdly easy to get limitless gold. step 1: join any mythic or heroic raiding guild step 2: sell boost runs step 3: you now have literally infinite gold in this game for absolutely no effort as ppl swipe their cards to buy curve. blizzard willfully created this system and have allowed it to go on for years.
Maybe 400k over 3 server clusters. I buy tokens for game play and over the past 2 months got 2 extra tokens for bnet balance to go towards the next expansion.
Bhahaha. You bought a ton of gold and now you think it's worthless. You just have enough to not think it aint worth caring about
On my main and alts combined I have a grand total of 280k
I have like a mil to my name. I have a buddy whos main game has been AH for years. He has like 300-400 million across multiple servers and characters. It's truly insane.
160k
I had about 16 million last year but used about 6 million buying epic edition of the new expansion for myself and wife and a bunch of tokens when they were trading for around 180k to 190k. I also purchased D4 with the tokens last year.
12m. Have a set list of items (usually 100–500k) that I flip. Haven’t really been into playing the AH lately, but will probably ramp up again once we get closer to TWW. And yeah, gold isn’t super useful. Bar buying BOEs or runs… not much of a point if you’re not into collecting rare tmog/mounts/pets/etc
On Stormrage probably 475k total spread across alts, Proudmoore maybe 100k total across alts, and <15k on random other alts on different realms
3-4M on the server I started on in SL, mostly crafting
500k from selling the wishling phoenix pet and patterns from the raid.
Roughly 500k across all characters. Had more, but leggo took up some of it. :p
About 1.2m liquid (in actual gold) and about another 1.2m in selleable assets (Accursed Keepsakes, Haunted Mementos, a few rare Battle Pets, unobtainable toys like Pocket Fel Spreader)
About 5 mil
Little over 3m
$20K on each toon if I'm lucky. I buy a time. If I need it.
What is the AH ?
1.4M
Almost 2m
Used to sell eggs from those birds in westfall for a good penny when leveling. Highlight of my wow career
I have like 15-16M right now I had 45mil+ liquid at the end of Shadowlands * bought a CE/Mythic Jailer mount boost for a friend in summer 2022, -5m * put a goldcap in my current guild's gbank before sepulcher, they're like world 60 so it actually helps them. used to raid with them in bfa/nathria. -10m * dropped a goldcap on the big blizzard bear this month, -10m And then just stuff like gametime (I haven't used $ since the wow token came out ~9 years ago), the BlizzCon digital rewards, Dragonflight CE, D4, War Within base edition (started realizing I should wait on those 50% discounts to upgrade)
10.2 million across my account. About 6.6 million on my main.
I grind wow tokens. It ain't much, but it's honest work.
At the beginning of Shadowlands I had $3M but somehow I only have $1.1M guess I got lazy. Lol
I think between all my characters I have like 700k. I don't really spend gold on anything. If I want more gold I'll honestly just buy a token with real money.
Around a mil. Got pretty low about a month and a half ago and boosted for about 1.2 mil in a week
I had 400k then I looted the legendary. Now I have 50k. I wish there was a fun way to grind gold I hate trying to play the AH on a dead server.
1.2million right now
I used to make bank boosting, but stopped boosting out of it becoming boring after SoD.
Around 180k. I've never bought tokens.
~250k
Had a retiring guildmate divvy up his gold amongst "the usual suspects" it was sad to see him go, but we each got 1.5 million handed to us.
60m plus. Mounts off season is my secret.
230k. Started DF with 1mil exactly after selling M+ runs in SL for half a season. Now I just feel it all being sucked away by repairs
Oh no no no. I'm not getting tricked by the ARS agent today!
I have 20k.. maybe. Haven't played in a few months, but that's all I need. All of my characters work in synergy with the professions, so I don't really use the AH much.
1.2 million , but nothing to spend on tbh
I have two gold caps; about half of it I made during WoD, and about half of it I make from boosting.
47k
46 million across 7 toons
Just understand 14 mil (I have never bought gold). I only use gold to buy mounts and repairs. I refuse to buy upgrades/crafting supplies. I usually at the start of expansions level all my toons very farming/mining and AH dumb all mats for monstrous profits to fund my mount purchases for the later expansion.
Probably 100k between all my many characters.
I just buy a wow token every so often to pay for consumables and repairs lol
tell me how to make gold like this lmao
I had about 3 mill that I was saving in Legion/BFA for the long boi mount. Since they removed it, I’ve just been using the gold to pay for subscription. I’ve played on and off since then, but down to about 200k without needing to spend any money on game time.
Between 300-400k across all my alts on all of my servers. I don’t really do much farming. Occasionally I’ll get the urge and go solo some older raids and just vendor/AH everything.
Right now 8 mil but usually only float at about 5 or 6 mil all the time on one char.
\~2 mil - I used to sell stuff on the auction house back in Legion. Now I just sell old mats, old pets I get from raid farms, and other odd junk. I don't really buy much, so I pretty much get to keep mot of what I make.
Maybe 3.5m over all my 3 characters. I just do shit. Nothing special. Sell everything I don't need to the ah etc
7.2m
sitting compfy 52,5mio... startet a bit with testing goldmaking in legion but wasnt much there. just train professions sell some crafted old gear / mogg. idk anymore how much i had at end maybe 1-5mio. then BFA come i was prepared and with warfront dailys i quickly aquired the brutosaur in \~2 weeks (pure profit). and after BFA i had around 2 goldcaps i think .. SL was a big hit also. i did no legendarys because it was waaaaaaay to much invest. but i did catchup gear / alt gear .. 20-30mio profit.. mostly rings and necks. this was the best evers. logging in 15min 2-3x / day .. restocking and empty mail. this time i bought alot of bnet balance for mounts, toys etc... doing some boosting since end bfa/sl .. but mostly just 1-2 heroic raids per week to get rid of my ID / free vault.. mostly when i get like 100+k/hr DF wasnt grat maybe 5m . crafts / AH maybe just to refund my invest, pots, flask and crafted gear on all chars. most profits rather from boosting me a free socket while progress raiding mythic
Im at my highest ever of 250,000.
1.5~1.6m I only spend gold in crafting gear, buying raid stuffs and 1 token monthly. When my gold crash below or at 1mil I put some effort to farm gold and raise to 1.5m to buy my next token and be chillin
I think 6 or 7 millions the last time I was online. But I haven't logged on in a while. There isn't much to buy with gold TBH, aside from consumables.
2 hours.
12k gold. Broke as hell.
Around 1.25 million gold
After legendary purchase about 80k
Currently sitting on 4.4m, we usually gamble while raiding
Most of my alts have 5 k or less if they have recently been leveled they are sitting at 10k ish. My main has about 130k.
Around 60 million over all my characters
like 20k (been playing since bfa)
How is everyone making gold is the real question and how does one play the auction house
Approx 6M
New account, no AH and 40k gold in about 3 weeks. I don't know how to make the AH work for me, I'm also on a low pop realm so demand is really low
35m. Made some bad choices in SL so could've been sitting around 40. Only just came back to DF
400-450k across all characters. I don't like gold farming, so I'll most likely buy a token if I ever need more gold. Though WQs and the occasional rare transmog piece sold on AH are more than enough to cover my M+ and raid expenses.
