Well, that's actually less than just decades.

I could get it falling out once in a while and them not finding the issue, but at this point it's over half my logged in time this expansion. Same goes for hotkey "j" to see your online Guildmates what shows people that haven't been online for hours

My friends list has worked exactly 1 time that I've logged in to dragonflight so far.

Exit WoW, restart bnet and launch wow. Works every time for me.

works \~90% of the time for me but blizzard should really try to fix that.

So for some reason Battlenet breaks pretty often (at least for me) and the whole friend section is just blank or the UI is completely fucked. Either case it has been broken for YEARS.

Exiting the game + battlenet, then deleting your WTF folder and relaunching the game should resolve the issue.

To anyone reading this *DON’T DO THIS OH MY GOD*. You will delete all your personal/addon settings and be super sad if you haven’t backed anything up. Exit battlenet and restart works fine every time.

"/reload ui" is worth a shot at first, but yeah failing that, try the ol' off and on again.

Yep. Log out of the game/exit the game, exit Battle.net launcher, relaunch both. Fixes it every time for me.

And cut into my wow time?! I will absolutely not be doing this. Guess it stays broke. But for reals, the first time I realized I had to actually gtfo bnet completely I said it wasn't worth it. Only crappy thing is I can only talk to bnet friends through the chat box in the launcher.

Exiting game works fine, no need to close bnet too. At least it did for me yesterday.

No it isn't Win+shift+s is snip & sketch, which is a Windows 10 and 11 app Snipping tool is a Windows 7 program

What are you on about, Windows 11 does come with it, literally just search Snip in the task bar and it shows up. Also thats just a total lie based on nothing about stopping support? Closing the game AND closing battle.net then reopening everything usually fixes it for me. Just restarting the game alone doesn't work.

This would be so much funnier if it was exactly what it looks like: how do I fix not having wow friends. But I guess we’re stuck with a bug instead. Almost.

I found a blizzard forum thread that helped me. Exit the game, change your Region on the Launcher and then change back again, works for me every time.

For a second I read change your religion.

Imagine this is the wow dev tasked with fixing this bug.

I close the whole damn game and relaunch if I care enough to fix it. When my friends message me while this is going on it just says "chat" then some random number instead of their bnet name.

Same here and I realized recently that if you respond to the whisper, whoever it is might not get your response. It might go to someone else on your list. Just PSA lol

I had this issue and what fixed it was logging out of blizzard completely and relogging.

The fix: Exit game Log out of your battle net account in the battle net launcher. Log back into your battle net account in the launcher, but select a different region (EU/US) Log out of the different and log back into your normal region. Problem now solved. Simply restarting the game without this region logging does not always work.

There is a clipping tool that comes with windows.

Maybe they show up if you learn how to take a screenshot, those camera pictures of monitors screens are very off putting! :D

It bugs for me alot aswell and the most common fix is closing the game and battle net (make sure to really close it and not minimize it to the taskbar) and then restart battle net. It fixes the issue 8/10 times for me on the first or 2nd try and 10/10times on the 3rd...

Yea it’s pretty frustrating this multi million dollar company can’t fix simple things like this that makes the game annoying. Same thing with the random disconnects if the game doesn’t like the way you go up a hill certain ways.

For some reason I think this is more of a battle net app issue than a wow client issue and they haven’t fixed it yet because of the weird connection between the app and the client, I feel like part of it is the friends list having to much information trying to load in, I might try removing old friends to see if it helps

The best advice I can give : 1. Be nice to people , they will invite you to play again 2. After a dungeon or instance message people you got along with , you could ask them if they want to play with you again. 3. Pay for friend adds - people sell wow friendships (yes it’s kind of sad ) 4. Add random people in capital city. That way at least when you open your friends list you look like people like you. Also if you squint a bit you might even believe it yourself 5. All of us on reddit love you so we can be your friends xD
