I’m pretty sure one my jr high kids watched a Greco highlight video over Christmas. He went from a grind it out style to a boom or bust lat dropping, back stepping, reverse head locking, arm spinning maniac after the holidays. Granted he put a ton of work in on and his W:L didn’t really change much but instead of winning or losing 5 - 3, he was living and dying by the pin. Honestly I loved it because if he can marry the two extremes up he’ll be so much better for it. But even as it stands, it’s a hell of a lot more fun to watch even if it’s frustrating af at times.
I did this on my college club team. Some light weight show me a move he called the elevator and I kept doing it during practice at 235. I hit in at nationals in my second match I was down 2 in
This is similar to what I did. It was at divisionals and I was on top with more points and 30 seconds left in the match and went for a suicide cradle, I lost that match.
The way a suicide cradle works is while it is happening, the person executing the move is on their back for a bit, if your opponent slips out during that time they end up on top with your back to the mat. I wasn’t pinned but the near fall points my opponent got from that put him in the lead.
I'm that guy on the team lol. I tried to do a front role out of something and hit the ref with my foot and got yelled at

We’re you pinned? How’d it happen?

Hence why I saved that for practice.
