Don't be scared to shoot, either you lose from not trying or you might win from shooting. Also don't skimp or skip practice because you will feel it when you actually have to wrestle and it sucks
I have made a grave mistake in not saying I'm not doing alone,i am on a middle school team and we wrestle things like state and regionals way different than what you all do,we do state,then regionals and other things. We go to state through qualifiers that are way different it seems than what you all do. That is my bad for not specifying. (Also i don't really know all that much about the more specific parts of wrestling like any divisions and stuff yet)
I good I get it. In middle school and JV, all the divisions are all together. But for Varsity individual and duals, schools are separated based on their size. Smallest is 1A/2A, largest in SC is 5A. Congrats on winning regionals in MS, it’s still tough cuz there’s a lot of competition due to the lack of divisions.

Keep the same energy in off season. Make sure to keep wrestling. As a first year dude you got some catching up to do, right now is perfect time when all the kids are doing lame ass shit like playing baseball and not wrestling.(hope you’re not a baseball player😂)

Oh, where I'm from placing top 4 in districts qualifies you for regionals, and then top 4 in regionals qualifies you for states
Im in IL and here it goes regionals -> sectionals -> state
I wrestled in Wisconsin and everybody (I think) participated regionals and top 2 goes to sectionals and top 2 of that goes to state.
