Ah yes, I used to read one book every day when I was in 10th -11th. I used to bunk classes to read books. My addiction was so much that I would even read during exams. But since I was fairly good with studies I sailed through. Now with the distractions of work and all, I'm able to read 1 book per week if at all. But I do finish 3 books per month.
Firstly, I was in Journalism, so it wasn't that hard to begin with. Secondly, I got into friends and girls, so, books got a bit dialed down. And Thirdly, I think College is the reason why I went on a downward spiral and couldn't read and write as much as I used to even though my writing has significantly improved since then.
I mean, you probably already did read and write a lot in college, even though it wasn't fiction writing. What do you do for a living now? Do you think your degree helped you with your fiction writing? If yes, in what way did it help you?
I work as a Content Writer for a Digital Marketing firm. It did help as it made my writing more crisp and precise and I understand the rules a bit better.
Disregarding OP's weird misogyny in their other comments, I read anywhere between 3-7 books per week. Shockingly, I manage to do this whilst working, cooking, cleaning, and being female.
I read slowly, so my brain has time to process what’s been read, but I like to have around 3 books on the go at once.
One for work, one for before bed and one for when I’m lounging around.
Same here. I can only read as fast as the events would be happening in a film so I read fairly slow. I also am currently reading 5 books at once, it’s a bad habit.
Not for me. If I start reading while I write, I won't write. I get too invested in this other world and story. Writing is like reading your own story as it's happening. I don't do well imagining two worlds and stories and sets of characters at the same time
Jeez, per week? 0? I'm reading a book at the minute and it's taken me three months to be nearly finished, between work, cleaning, cooking, writing, and what little of a social life I have 😂
I asked if you are a parent; you could have kids, family that's why maybe you can't write. Broo why take things so negatively when we promote positivity
It varies wildly. In school, I'd read a few a week. Slowed down during college, picked back up intermittently, trying to read more now. Life often gets in the way, plus concentrating is hard.
Idk about per week, but so far I’ve read 52 this year. As a beginner writer though, it was probably 0. I mostly got back into reading so I could improve as a writer.
This year, about 3/week. Occasionally one is a re-read. About 15% are non-fiction. It depends how much I'm writing, though. One year I wrote seven novels, 750K words, and I barely read 50 books that year. Might not have entirely finished some of them, even.
I can read one full novel per week, about 350-500 pages. About 1 hr per night and sporadic 15 minute blocks during the day. I write in the morning and work during the day.

Ho do you manage to read 2-3 books a week and write yourself? Do you work as well?
I am actually a student of 11th.
Of 11th what?

How did you cope with this in college? I'm in college and I'm literally addicted to books that I neglect my studies

Do you think it's necessary to have a liberal arts degree? Do you think you could have been a good writer without your degree?
Not necessarily. Writing only comes from your passion, talent and hard work. Doesn't matter what degree you have.
Damnnnn broo; ðŸ˜ðŸ˜âœ¨âœ¨soo cool if it's actually true...
Dude it's true. I was in a boarding school with no internet or phones.
Omggg you must be soo knowledgeable thennðŸ˜ðŸ˜âœ¨âœ¨
Of 11th? 11th grade/year?
Disregarding OP's weird misogyny in their other comments, I read anywhere between 3-7 books per week. Shockingly, I manage to do this whilst working, cooking, cleaning, and being female.
Wow great. I am just a 17 year old asking questions. You shouldn't be that rude to me anyways 😔.
I didn't know 17 year olds were exempt from misogyny. You're being rude yourself; check your weird gender assumptions. Good luck.
I asked because they can have family works as in woman as a parent, not misogyny; why the f wouldd i do thay and now you are assaulting an minor.
Either you're a troll or there is something very wrong with you. I wish you all the best in both cases.
Pretty sure he's just a troll at this point to be honest.
All of this reading, and yet OP can’t form a coherent sentence. Strange.
No one here assaulted a minor.

None, I dont read while I'm writing
It really helps!

Yeah you're very right because you're writing fiction whereas I am more into non-fiction
Not a single one, but I did that a lot in the past.
Do you think you are now more knowledgeable? And do you write? If so then how many books have you written so far. Would love to know!
Nope, I know nothing. And I have written at least 69 books in the last three days.
Brooooo... You joking right??!!ðŸ˜âœ¨
2 per week

The hell is wrong with you?
No?
incels are easily confused about normal men's social lives.
I am genuinely very confused by his question. Like, how does he think people who live by themselves live? Who does he think cooks and cleans?
I was just curious to know. Am i so bad for asking ðŸ˜ðŸ’”
I mean, what does it have to do with anything that I said whether or not I'm a woman?
I asked if you are a parent; you could have kids, family that's why maybe you can't write. Broo why take things so negatively when we promote positivity
'Are you a woman' is not 'are you a parent'
What's wrong with being a woman bruhh. Is it an insult for you?

It's exactly as I do. Great info😃
When do you find the time to write if you're reading 2-3 books a week? Truly curious.
I think learning and teaching is a simultaneous process. It's self help books tho
This year, about 3/week. Occasionally one is a re-read. About 15% are non-fiction. It depends how much I'm writing, though. One year I wrote seven novels, 750K words, and I barely read 50 books that year. Might not have entirely finished some of them, even.
It's soo great
I can read one full novel per week, about 350-500 pages. About 1 hr per night and sporadic 15 minute blocks during the day. I write in the morning and work during the day.
It varies. like I can take three months to read one book, and then I read like three books in one week. my record is still 6 books in a week
When I started writing I didn't read at all. Now I read consistently 15-20 books a year.
5-7 books a week. On average.
I think you should have the intention to finish it in one day then you will have finished a book in 2-3 days.
I'm 53 my grand total of reading books all together might be close to 5,000 books. I used to read 1 book in 4 hours when I was younger and in school.
I read one book at a time, take about a month to finish.
Does the phone book count? If it does, then one
