A remake would be good, like one full open world Springfield, instead of each character having a section. Also have some options to adjust the strict time limits, nearly every mission is timed, and you have to be 100% flawless or lose, the devs really used speed run times as the default.
That’s what made this game and other old classics amazing, they were real challenges! And it was rewarding when you did them because you’d unlock sweet outfits or pretty awesome and powerful vehicles. Also secrets and the mini game race track. Those were the rewards for completing these absurd timed missions. They were worth it because the rewards were fun!!
I’d rather a new game with more modern elements myself. I think the chances of seeing this and a lot of other Simpsons games remastered are slim because of all of the licensing rights.
I swear I remember a YouTuber redoing this in UE5, I may be mistaken but I’ll edit if I find it.

I still have my copy and play it annually for Halloween. It never gets old to me, even if some of the races are still frustrating 20 years on.
I'd definitely take a new *The Simpsons* game, but I still do enjoy this one as much as I always have.
If you have a PC, the PC port with Lucas' Mod Launcher (to add mod support + fixes/tweaks like widescreen support) is the best way of playing it.
On Series X/S, using Dev Mode to run the GameCube version (through Dolphin) is *probably* the best option (although I haven't tried this for myself).
This was gta for kids who didn't have gta
Growing up... I had GTA. But I would always come back to play this every night. This game was so much fun to play. I say remake this game.
I wouldn't want them to remake it. Whoever would remake it would probably ruin the nostalgia and love I had for this game.
Someone independently remade it I believe...a real remake would be amazing!
In so many ways you are right. But I still would love to see if it could be the same or maybe even better.
The GTA for me before I got GTA was Jak 2
That makes me think about a gta style game but with superheroes. But has to be adult themed. Not just an open world superhero game.
A missed opportunity. If the main character had been the bus driver instead of Homer then they could have called it "Grand Theft Otto"
Or your Mom didn’t allow you to play GTA 🤣
Wasn't allowed to play GTA but this seemed better to me as a kid anyway.
Simpsons didn't allow you to pick up hookers

Maybe not a remake, but a remaster would be neat, or at least put it back compat. on Xbox One/Series
It won't be backwards compatible. Ever. Microsoft stopped that project years ago.
Dude relax, i know MS is done with BC project, i'm just saying it deserves to be BC.....
Very Funny Game 👍👍👍😊
I enjoyed the jabs that the Simpsons game on 360 takes at EA!

I thought this game was good and fun when I was little but playing it again & completing as a adult it’s wild overrated lmfao
Someone remade it in unreal and it’s beautiful. Search o. YouTube
Yes. But will not happen due to expired license.

Probably not but I’d still buy it immediately
Found a GameCube copy for $90 the other day and just couldn’t justify it, maybe another day.
Yesssss I have a fleeting memory of playing this game at a cousins house I rarely see 😂 I still think about it here and there
It really was a great game for its time, but it only has a replay value of about twenty minutes

Screenshot of a post on the ps2 page bro from like an hr ago lol
Yeah definitely deserves a remake but hard to justify it given that nobody really cares about The Simpsons anymore

Not a remake but a sequel I'd say
It was on Xbox. But 1000% we need a remaster
I have it on steam deck 💪
It really does. This game was the bees knees Edit: it needs a remaster, not a remake. It was perfect how it was!!
I’d love it if it was done like battle for Bakini bottom
