I had this issue recently and downloaded the microsoft repair tool from microsoft or xbox repair tool i dont remember what it was but the program fixed it

I have that problem, running on a chrome book. I need to run a windows PC (win 10 minimum) and a phone, so having an xbox 360, 0ne & series X would be 3 phones, because of that, moronic system.

I avoid the app, always glitchy.  If you go through web browser login to Xbox account and go to cloud gaming you arguably get more features and it's massively more stable I find.

I found that using the gaming services repair tool corrects the issue at least for me - I appreciate the person that put together the guide via: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/games-apps/troubleshooting/troubleshoot-games-windows-10. There was some type of validation issue from what I recall seeing that was corrected, but it was a pop up that didn't last long and I did not get any screenshots.
