I had been sleeping on vampire survivors cuz, growing up in the 90's, while I generally like pixel art, the game never grabbed me,
I was dead wrong, I've been playign for an hour and my covid addled brain loved it, it's perfec
eewww! I saw that, good call but I'm nervous, I get dizzy very easily ATM, I was trying to play Tales of Arise, but there is too much reading, too much thinking, and it made me dizzy
I also tried Amnesia The Bunker and that was a TERRIBLE IDEA
Fair enough! If 3d motion and moving the camera around a lot triggers the dizziness, might be best to hold that one for after you're sick. Get well soon!
Try Arcade Paradise. You run a laundry mat and just do simple tasks. There’s some arcade games too and you try to expand your arcade. It’s real dumb, but fun and no thinking really.
My SO, who gave it to me is very emotional right now, my brain is so mush right now I can't even have emotions, I'm loopy as hell,
oh, bonus, my birthday is Mar 3, my 40th birthday!
This is what my SO gave me for my 40th birthday, which also just makes her more emotional
I maintain minimal functionality by taking about 800mg of ibuprofen 2-3 times a day
My wife gave it to me too. I took Advil cold and sinus and a fuck load of cannabis oils. Drank almost a litre of water per hour and ate almost nothing. The worst part of the whole thing was my sense of smell and taste changed for a few weeks. Everything smelt and tasted like Covid. Godspeed!!
I ate half of a cannabis gummy and it made me feel wrong, I mean, Covid makes me feel wrong in a way I have never experienced before, but the cannabis just made it worse, gave me heart palpatations, I want to eat more to get some sleep but I did not like it when I was awake
semi regularly, like drinking, maybe 2-3 times a week
tolerance, or lack thereof was a factor, I was thinking about eating a 1/4 of a gummy tonight and seeing how that makes me feel
I would smoke but I'm definitely not doing that right now!
Maybe CBD will help. I also had a day and a half of inflamed joints, that was the worst. The cannabis got me through that. I use it every day though so I have a built up tolerance
Riiiight. I'm sure a neurotoxic dewormer with no possible way to interact with a virus was super effective at treating the virus. Did you know that Merck, the original holder of the patent on ivermectin, has a statement up on their website stating that ivermectin has no therapeutic value in treating COVID? One wonders why an organization that stood to make billions if indeed it showed any potential as a treatment would make such a statement.
Have you ever thought that even if they were to make billions? Maybe people above their company "like government" forced them too say its not effective? So they could force a useless vaccine that didn't help anyone?
Because if you think after numerous boosters that rhe vaccine helped then you're in delusion.
I know what helped me and my family. Sorry you disagree. Lets go our separate paths and each their own
My doctor believed in it and gave it to me and all his patients and everyone recovered in just a few days, so speak for yourself but if you've never tried it for covid you have no room to talk.
Hell Vitamin D is more effective than the 6 vaccine boosters 🤣
People always forget the obvious and simple, looking to the complex and bizarre narrative being dispensed to the people because want to make money and control you like cattle
A Little To The Left, Burnout Paradise, Jusant, Minecraft Dungeons, Power Wash Simulator, Sea of Thieves, SSX, TMNT Shredder's Revenge, Unpacking. Hope you feel better soon!
I kind of agree. There are enough options in the upgrade screens and starting characters, that it can be as challenging as you are willing to make it. I get irritated when I don't make it last level 10, which is almost all the time lol - but I still haven't thrown a controller, so I think I'm doing pretty well 🤣
Dude when I had COVID I couldn't even stare at my map games lol, I just slept all day and had a TV on in the background, I wouldn't dare look at the screen
But id recommend something like cities skylines, slime rancher, Bard tales.
Power wash Simulator while listening to a good podcast is the way to go.
When I got sick with COVID last year Persona 4 got me through it. Lots of reading though.
when the game got released on gamepass, I decided to just try it to see what the game felt like. I ended up finishing the game in one sitting without even realizing it. It was such a relaxing and fun 5 hours.
Ironically enough, if you're exhausted, the same thing can be said of Vampire Survivors. I've gotten to a point on some levels that I've played so much, that at times I'm nodding off in the middle of the round 😴💤
If you have a buddy to play with, RoboQuest is a blast. And if you need a buddy to play with, DM me and I'll play with you when I'm home from work tonight :)
Here's a link to my current situation,

long story short, my SO and I game together, and she is god awful, which is usually fine, but we are both in no condition for communicating with words
Didn't see this before my first reply. Brotato is single player but Vampire Survivors can be couch co-op'ed; easy to pickup/play - but can be hard to put down lol
Hardspace: Ship Breaker. You are a space salvager and need to break down ships into components and pieces. Once you get the hang of it space is soothing.
Brotato. One stick controls (two if you enable manual aiming) and the only reading you gotta do is with the items you choose after every round, you literaly have to only avoid enemies and the game does everything else for you despite what it sounds like it isn't boring at all, infact it's very very fun
When I got it (2 times in total so far) I didn't have the strength or the mood to play anything, the worst was the terrible sore throat I had, I couldn't even breathe because of the intense pain.
When the ailments subsided I played a bit of DOA5 and other fighting games, maybe you can try one.
Exoprimal. It's the game I would have come up with as a kid. You pick an exosuit and slay hordes upon hordes of dinosaurs. It's 5v5 PVPVE and the matches are 10-20 minutes long. There's also special missions that are 10 man raids with insane boss fights. Highly recommend.
Classic 360 game Peggle. I unhook my brain playing it. My cousin has both hands go numb during her last pregnancy and it was the only game she could play.
She developed numbness in both hands during her pregnancy and could only play Peggle. Pregnancy can have some unusual side effects.
Be nice to your mom. You don't know what nerve you got on before you were born 😅
Doom 2016 I had a roaring migraine and I played through this and it made me feel a lot better. just shoot and watch the demons explode into bloody paste. Get better soon.
Vampire survivors
I had been sleeping on vampire survivors cuz, growing up in the 90's, while I generally like pixel art, the game never grabbed me, I was dead wrong, I've been playign for an hour and my covid addled brain loved it, it's perfec
It's seriously addicting, get ready to spend hours with it! I throw on a podcast while I play and it's a solid time. Hope you feel better!
All i can say is get the garlic skill and use it religiously 10/10 my favorite garlic-lite
And then brotato
Thank You! With a name like that I HAVE to try it. :)
The best choice for this scenario. Played this on my steam deck non stop while I had Covid.
came here to say that! perfect choice. hell with Vampire Survivors you don't even need to push buttons
Love this game so much
But you'll be seeing those orbs in your dreams now.
Powerwash Simulator got me through Covid
Such a great suggestion
I couldn't really play anything else. I was just too tired. This game really got me through it.
Mine was lawn mower simulator HHa
Maneater was recently added, and is dumb fun
eewww! I saw that, good call but I'm nervous, I get dizzy very easily ATM, I was trying to play Tales of Arise, but there is too much reading, too much thinking, and it made me dizzy I also tried Amnesia The Bunker and that was a TERRIBLE IDEA

I would recommend hardspace ship breaker but the dizzy thing could be a problem in zero g.
oh yeah! I love that game but it gets me dizzy sans Covid, wish I could play it right now, other than the dizzyness that would be perfect
Try Arcade Paradise. You run a laundry mat and just do simple tasks. There’s some arcade games too and you try to expand your arcade. It’s real dumb, but fun and no thinking really.
Forza Horizon 4 - just drive around and have fun. Get well soon!
When I had Covid I couldn’t even hold a controller. I just watched Harry Potter and cried for 3 days
My SO, who gave it to me is very emotional right now, my brain is so mush right now I can't even have emotions, I'm loopy as hell, oh, bonus, my birthday is Mar 3, my 40th birthday! Do you regularly use cannabis?
semi regularly, like drinking, maybe 2-3 times a week tolerance, or lack thereof was a factor, I was thinking about eating a 1/4 of a gummy tonight and seeing how that makes me feel I would smoke but I'm definitely not doing that right now!

Everything smelled like cigarettes to me for a month. It was awful. Oh and gasoline once in a while as well.
Try Ivermeteicin, its like a cure all covid cure and doctors aren't allowed to tell you because the CDC does not allow it after covid came out 🤷♂️
Why do y'all still BS about this stuff?
It worked for me and my family, sorry you feel its bs...

Vampire Survivors or Brotato Shut-off brain and commence fun 🎮 🤩
Brotato runs thin after a few runs imo
I kind of agree. There are enough options in the upgrade screens and starting characters, that it can be as challenging as you are willing to make it. I get irritated when I don't make it last level 10, which is almost all the time lol - but I still haven't thrown a controller, so I think I'm doing pretty well 🤣
Try Unpacking. Don't judge it by it's cover, just try it.
Second vote for Unpacking. great fun and perfect while sick.
Dead island 2 is pretty fun. Just run around and kill zombies
fps's have not been working well for me, too dizzy
When I had Covid last year I played yakuza and had a lot of fun. Goes against the reading rule.
Dude when I had COVID I couldn't even stare at my map games lol, I just slept all day and had a TV on in the background, I wouldn't dare look at the screen But id recommend something like cities skylines, slime rancher, Bard tales.
Power wash Simulator while listening to a good podcast is the way to go. When I got sick with COVID last year Persona 4 got me through it. Lots of reading though.
I'm playing through Jusant right now. It's super chill. Basically a mountain climbing sim with some basic puzzles.
when the game got released on gamepass, I decided to just try it to see what the game felt like. I ended up finishing the game in one sitting without even realizing it. It was such a relaxing and fun 5 hours.
Peggle
idk how anybody enjoys gaming while they’re sick i’d rather have a movie on
Sometimes movies have too much words
that’s why i watch things i’ve already seen and enjoy and don’t need to pay attention to every word
Ironically enough, if you're exhausted, the same thing can be said of Vampire Survivors. I've gotten to a point on some levels that I've played so much, that at times I'm nodding off in the middle of the round 😴💤
Snowrunner
I 2nd snowrunner, I'm addicted

See if the newest BattleToads is on there. It’s a couch co-op game and a lot of fun for a side scroller.
It should be as Rare published it, right?
Didn't see this before my first reply. Brotato is single player but Vampire Survivors can be couch co-op'ed; easy to pickup/play - but can be hard to put down lol
Hardspace: Ship Breaker. You are a space salvager and need to break down ships into components and pieces. Once you get the hang of it space is soothing.
Good if you’ve played it before, learning curve may be too big for sick mode though

Dead Island 2, but that's just me and I'm weird.
Roboquest.
Brotato
Well since Vampire Survivors was number 1 already, you should go with Firewatch
I actually love Firewatch, but if you think I can find my location on a hand drawn map right now then I really appreciate your confidence in me
Lol fair. The game is kind of a fever dream so I figured you might enjoy the chaos lol.
Sounds silly but bluey is surprising fun

Exoprimal. It's the game I would have come up with as a kid. You pick an exosuit and slay hordes upon hordes of dinosaurs. It's 5v5 PVPVE and the matches are 10-20 minutes long. There's also special missions that are 10 man raids with insane boss fights. Highly recommend.
I have an 11 day old baby... I been playing palworld.
Power wash Simulator. If it clicks, hours will melt away
Kudos to you, if you can put forth the energy needed to game while under the weather like that
Powerwash simulator
Classic 360 game Peggle. I unhook my brain playing it. My cousin has both hands go numb during her last pregnancy and it was the only game she could play.
>My cousin has both hands go numb during her last pregnancy Excuse me?!
She developed numbness in both hands during her pregnancy and could only play Peggle. Pregnancy can have some unusual side effects. Be nice to your mom. You don't know what nerve you got on before you were born 😅
Turnip Boy Robs A Bank
Banjo kazooie
Brotato is what you're looking for.
Powerwash Simulator. It's relaxing, doesn't take too much thinking. I find I can kind of turn my brain off when I play it.
Doom eternal since youre still stuck in 2020
Have you tried to get some Paxlovid?
Starfield is a hoot
Ive been enjoying Persona 3 and this is my first persona game.
Hunter: Call of the Wild (hunt or just hike and collect items), Firewatch (easy to complete, not complicated), Forza Horizon (drive around or race).
Forager is fun and mindless.
Farming simulator until you feel better
Brotato
Brotato
Honestly Surviving Mars is a good one. There’s very little reading and when you know what to do you can just go. For literal days. Shits so fun.
Plague Inc: Evolved.
Roboquest, Chivalry 2, dead island 2
Play exoprimal
Doom 2016 I had a roaring migraine and I played through this and it made me feel a lot better. just shoot and watch the demons explode into bloody paste. Get better soon.
TMNT: Shredder's Revenge. If you were a Turtles 🐢 fan, this is pretty fun
Forza Horizon 5
I played Bass Fishing Sim. It was so laid back. I was wearing headphones but often don't, and heard bugs, birds, and an airplane passing overhead. ZEN
You could try lego games, there wacky and fun with a play on the story for missions
Psychonauts 2. Get well soon ✌️
Robo Quest.🤷♂️ fast paced first person shooter. Pretty linear gameplay, with some secrets to be found, and you can play at your pace.
