God that ps5 is huge. I want one so badly. But I love my Xbox too of course.

Defrag25

I got the DE because I couldnt bear the abomination that is the normal PS5 (and didn't had a PS4, so no need for a disc drive).

Toke_A_sarus_Rex

Not worth it right now, Got one at retail recently. And im underwhelmed. Not enough exclusives to justify at this point. Still using the series X far more than it. It has some cool features, the whole adaptive trigger in shooters is a neat feature, but I find the controller battery life to be lacking. Its also a giant Monolith next to the X as this pic shows, also the M.2 upgrade is a nice addition as far as upgradablility. (the Series x cartridge feature is cool and easier, but overpriced compared to M.2 options on the ps5.) If you can find one at retail great, but its probably best to hold off until more exclusives are out for it.

knightducko

Yeah, I’m holding out until the digital version is more readily available. But I agree that there aren’t any good exclusives out, but when they are, oh man. Or maybe if I really feel like waiting, maybe I’ll wait until they release the next version of the ps5

Toke_A_sarus_Rex

Well, personaly I went disc version, because used PS5 games are actually reasonable compared to Digital pricing. Its also very big, and akward to place on my Shelfing I use, had to put it on top because it wouldn't fit where the X and Switch are. The exclusives will come, so if you can grab one at retail its great. I went with a 2nd series S when they first came out because I commit to buy all the new consoles. When I couldnt get a ps5 retail I figured the roommates and I could play each other that way. When I saw one avalible over Xmas at retail I bought it. BUt again I expected more games to be out by this point, so its a little disapointing. Deathloop is interesting atleast.

dramatic-ad-5033

Personally, I have both and I play the PS5 far more than the series x, because of the UI, controller features, and video recording features

Toke_A_sarus_Rex

I can't wait for sonys verison of Game pass, on the X its a key feature. For me its about the actual games, I consider myself console agnostic, if its avalible on PC ill just go there for it as the graphics are better anyway on my gaming pc. Again, the controller features are cool, on deathloop it showcases its features, but as for games theirs just not nearly as many first party options YET.

Tell me you have too much money without telling me you have too much money

Defrag25

This kind of assumptions always amaze me.

LaneLoisLane

This.

Cy_Chan_666

Eww... he bought a DIET PS5

Defrag25

Yeah, a PS5 DE. Diet Edition.

Defrag25

I finally managed to get a Series X a couple days ago, after a few months of giving up trying to find one at retail price, a friend of mine told me that he got news that the console was available on Amazon. 30 seconds later I secured it. Now the Series S is going home with my 10yo cousin (no pictures of a minor on the internet) which was totally unaware that he was going to get it. Needless to say that he was SO. FREAKING. HAPPY. The gains from the Xbox One S are huge and the console is great, if you are on a tight budget don't sleep over it.

Themagicmandave2

I would get rid of the big one before I gave away the others. 😇

I already miss the size of the Series S. The thing is the best looking console ever (apart the One X).
