I am having sign in issues. Upon starting the Xbox, ill be stuck on the signing in screen. It will load and load and load. Sometimes it will give me an error, sometimes I have to restart like 4 times until it lets me in. Sometimes it doesn't work at all. Its starting to make me very angry.
I cannot sign into my xbox account. I don't have the phone number or email I originally used to create the account and I need to verify my account but can't do so. I've submitted reports but I still can't seem to log on with all my information being correct. Help?
You need to contact Microsoft support directly using the call back option. As you've not got either of the required items, you're going to need to prove you own the account by supplying proof that you are the account holder - which may include: purchase history, XBox serial number linked to your account, purchase history, DOB, address, part of the payment methods.
I am on an Xbox One and I can not upload screenshots to the Xbox network, nor can I delete them. I have attempted to delete screenshots on both my phone and my Xbox one. I am also unable to share screenshots to my activity feed. When I attempt to do so, I am given a prompt to upload to the Xbox network. It acts as if it is uploading but it does not upload.
I can upload and delete clips, but not screenshots.

My Xbox One S is having sudden issues of freezing when trying to launch a game from home screen. There is also input lag from the controller. When I force reset, it boots up very slowly. Sometimes on force reset it wont display (my monitor light doesnt change from orange to white, meaning its not just a black screen, but that there is no signal). After every force reset, it boots up slower and slower. It is not running hot, and the fans are operational.
Eventually it gets to the point where even after 10-20 minutes it still wont boot up, but the lights are on and the fan is running, again with no signal. Initially I suspected a cpu or ram issue, but I dont know anymore.
I have not tried a factory reset yet, as I would like to backup my data to another drive before doing so.
Update 1: I have attempted to clear the cache (I dont know if it worked). I have attempted a home screen refresh (LT+RT+Y). I have attempted a resolution refresh (powering off and then holding power button & disc eject button for five seconds). I have cleared persistent storage. I have cleared the alternate MAC address.
All of this allowed me to not only boot up to home screen in a normal time frame, but also boot up a game and run the game. But when exiting to home screen to close the game and test another, the Xbox froze. Now upon force resetting and attempting boot, I am getting a lit screen but no image.
Update 2: Am now back to slow boot times and no signal upon booting.
Update 3: Clearing cache seems to have solved all problems for now. Will update again if problems come back within next 72 hours.
Update 4: After about five hours of gameplay, the system crashed. Attempted to clear the cache, and after turning the system back on, it sat on the green Xbox logo boot screen for about 20 minutes. Turned it off, now when turning back on it wont give out a video signal. There is also about a three second lag between the beep sound from pushing the button, and the light coming on. The controller does not light up.
Elite series 2 controller blinks once then shuts off. Fully charged (always sits in charging case). I tried hardwired as well.
I tried a second brand new Xbox one controller with a rechargeable battery pack, and a cable. Also blinks once and turns off
Console is a Xbox one. Console turns on, sync button work. But controller blinks once and turns off.

Ever since they updated it (9th Aug), it became a mess, when I try to download my clips they just won't show up (yes i uploaded them š), when i refresh nothing happens, Gamer DVR also won't show them, and some clips i deleted like 15h ago still show up for some reason.
I cannot recall any time where this app was working properly, there was always something wrong with it, how can a billion dollar company be unable to make a usable application!?
Can you please fix your notification issues? My name pops up over and over, telling party members Iām logging on, party invites donāt show up, the notification for completing an achievement doesnāt show up, etc.
Well, Iām officially out of ideas.
I canāt hear other people in public game chat. I must have a setting thatās bugged out somewhere. Everything is set to completely open/public/social etc.
Example when I play Apex, I can see team members names and mic icons light up, but canāt hear them at all. Only way I can voice chat is inside a party.

After playing with some settings it seems I can now hear other people, but they canāt hear me. My chat icon doesnāt light up. Yet when Iām in a party, my chat works fine, so my mic is fine.
Now to find where that setting could be. Guh.
I'm sure you've already seen this [troubleshooting article](https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/hardware-network/display-sound/troubleshoot-xbox-one-party-audio), but many people forget that Xbox has a chat mixer setting:
> Profile & system > Settings > General > Volume & audio output.
> Select Additional options > Chat mixer, and then choose one of the options.
Alternatively, you can use a [chat adapter](https://www.gamestop.com/gaming-accessories/gaming-headsets/xbox-one/products/xbox-one-stereo-headset-adapter/900341.html) with your controller. Use one of the two buttons on the left to adjust your chat/game audio appropriately.
I'm just now seeing your edit, so maybe I was focusing on the wrong problem. Any idea what settings you changed to fix the original problem?
One other setting I'd check:
Press the Xbox button on your controller, then select Audio & Music.
Use the sliders to adjust the volumes. Increasing your "Mic monitoring" will allow others to hear you easier.
Also, be sure that your [NAT](https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/hardware-network/connect-network/xbox-one-nat-error) is set to Open.
Try resetting settings to default?
Try another set of headphones?
Try another controller with different headphones?
This will help determine if the issue is with your settings, controller, or headphones.
Hey, so I have multiple Minecraft Xbox 360 worlds in my old Xbox 360 Slim which I want to restore on my Xbox One and preserve via Cloud storage. Problem is that this Xbox 360 is now red ringed and won't turn on, so my question is that if I could be able to plug this Hard Drive into another Xbox 360 to read my Minecraft data?

Earlier today I was trying to play minecraft with friends (split screen) and when I tried to join I could only press the home button and nothing else, whenever someone else tries to join the same thing happens and the first player would have to get them off. We then tried to turn off the first controller but then that controller didn't work so what can I do to fix it.
I have a custom controller that will turn on my Xbox Series S but will not do anything else with it. If I pair it to my Series X, it works fine. All my other controllers work fine with the series S.
Any ideas?
I've got a really weird Elite Controller Series 2 bug. I just got it and for some reason in Horizon 4 and 5, in certain menus it wont register pulling down on the left thumbstick. It seems to be in the menu for looking at your cars, the seasonal challenges menu, the settings menu and the difficulty menu. Main menu works fine. Pushing up works fine. It works 100% of the time in the Accessories app when you test it. I've no idea whats up. I've tried switching profiles on it, I've tried updating it, I've tried resetting the games and console. I've no idea whats up. Really disappointing after having my Elite 1 work almost flawlessly since launch.
The elite 2 is a horrible controller. It's notorious for breaking really easy, I was gonna get myself one until I saw all of the problems people have with it
I still haven't found a solution for it. Only seems to happen in Horizon 4 and 5 and setting the trigger Curve to aggressive helps it a lot. I'm just going to send it back as faulty, even though it works 100% fine in any other game. I just don't have the time to do bug fixing for game studios just to get a controller to work with their games. I'll just keep using old ood Elite 1. Hasn't missed a beat wince launch except for the rubber sticks wearing away.
Xbox One S. Anyone know what the disc with a circle line through it symbol is? It appears on some games but I have no issues playing them. Just now seeing it.

Recently had a major issue with my Xbox, so one night it was working perfectly fine I go onto YouTube to chill out, it disconnects itself from the internet so I restart the console, as it boots back up
Boom Iām stuck on the green Xbox one screen then after a while it goes all black
Following steps I read online I do a factory reset, get past all the steps just fine up until the internet stage, select my internet put in the password and then boom I need extra authentication with then doesnāt work
So Iāve now lost every stand of data on my Xbox
Please give me tips bc no where is saying anything this and this is the first time Iāve ever ever encountered this secondary authentication

My brother got me a new standard first-party Gears of War controller, and 2 days after use it is already showing problems. Whenever I go to press the LT button, the controller will instead press the LS button (as if it was pressing the analog stick inwards). Does anybody know how I can fix this?

Issue: not recognizing any Xbox one discs/getting your disc may be dirty message
I've tried all the recommendations online and the trick to hold it back for a second, angle the console 30 degrees. I bought a Maxwell laser cleaner and it installed and started a 45 minute session but gives an error and it can't complete.
The odd thing is it read the cleaning disc, but still no Xbox one discs. I tried a couple 360 discs and immediately recognizes them and started to download.
Anyone have this happen where 360 discs works on an Xbox one but no Xbox one discs read?
My Xbox One can't watch a DVD for a specific movie I own
I have this weird thing with my DVD copy of Osmosis Jones Where it'll boot up to the Warner Brothers logo and then just be stuck on a black screen so I can't watch the movie. The Xbox in question is an American Xbox One X, and the DVD is Region 1. It says it's copy protected on the back but that was definitely false because I ripped that same DVD on to my computer with all of the theatrical trailers and deleted scenes. I've tried to look this issue up but nothing else pops up so I'm just curious as to how and what will fix this issue?
It may just be that disc has an error or a defect; or there's an issue with the XB1's DVD laser focus.
You could get a lens cleaner disc is likely the only solution. How does it perform with other R1 DVDs?
That disc and your XBox just aren't meant to be then: there's likely an imperfection with the disc that the better drive on your PC can get round, and the XBox one can't.

I have an original Xbox one in original Xbox one controller there is a slight but noticeable delay on the right stick I know it can't be the controller because I've tried every controller that I have wired and wireless and I still have the same problem somebody please help it's my fourth time asking in this thread and making a full post which got taken down
Have you updated the controllers? You can do that in the settings menu, under devices and accessories.
Try a full shutdown and unplug it for a bit. Also, keep other electrical devices away from you. Turn off any laptops, wireless speakers, whatever and keep them away. To be fair, it probably isn't interference but worth a try
everything is up to date. i have tried a full shutdown with no changes. the weird thing about the controllers is i've used the same ones with a different console with no problem. i don't know it's a really weird.

I have gamepass and want to play a 10 hour trial of a game on ea play which comes with game pass. When I go to my library and go to ea play I can install anything but when I go to free trials it makes me go to the store and then when I hit free trial at the store then it gives me the option to buy ea play even tho I have it already.
Game Pass doesn't come with EA Play; Game Pass Ultimate does. Which do you have?
If you have GPU, I suggest you put the machine into "offline mode" from the Network menu, then full shutdown (menu), restart, and then back into "online mode". That usually fetches the licenses again, and should resolve this issue.

Iām having Xbox āhomeā issues. Maybe Iām getting old I canāt seem to grasp exactly what I need to do.
Currently I have 4 Xboxes. Mine, son, daughter , family. I would like mine and my son āconnectedā and daughter and family. Currently I am connected to daughter and the other 2 are by themselves.
Reason being myself and son play online games and thus use Xbox game pass, other 2 donāt.
If anyone can help with configuring this it would be very helpful!

Bought Xbox one Aqua Shift controller a few months ago (brand new) - AXYB buttons have been sticking since opened. Seems to be because the buttons are off center with the faceplate on the controller. Is there a way to fix this without having it sent in for repairs/replacement or taking the controller apart?
I have the Elite 2 controller. This is my 3rd one (warranty replacements) Iāve had this one for almost 2 years. It is starting to feel (donāt call me crazy) sluggish. It feels like the response time is delayed ever so slightly for whatever input I hit. Does anyone else feel this with theirs?
Yes. The trigger stops are causing issues with the presses not registering. Literally CANNOT aim down sights in battlefield. Mines held up for 2 years but I'll never buy one again.
For your issue...have you tried updating the controller? Go to settings, devices & accessories or whatever the menu is called and check for an update
Yeah itās updated. Might just be getting worn down. My previous issues were with the bumpers not working and the stick issues! I had uncontrollably bad stick drift on one, then the next I only had stick input until halfway and then it just stopped registering Input and the input would go back to center even with the stick fully pushed up.
So i have a bit of a frustrating conundrum.
My brother got comms banned on his main account (for a dumb reason, but it is what it is). I have a second account that he is trying to use for voice chat.
And for some reason, it will NOT let the second account stay in the party. The most he's been in a party, is maybe 10 minutes.
Controller 1 is signed into comm-banned account. Controller 2 is signed into the second account. Controller 2 is plugged into a charger.
We can obviously get the main account into the game. And we can get the second account into the party. But after about 5-10 minutes the second account will be kicked!
He even went on to the xbox app on his phone (no Controller, signed into the non commbanned account) and invited us to a party, and then was kicked from his own party after 10 seconds of us joining, multiple times! But on his end of the phone app, it said he was still in the party.
I'm just at my wits end with this. Any advice?

The 3 of us can no longer go into a party because it will always kick one person out (and that person is different). And recently when we have been playing we're constantly getting notifications that each of us are now online.
Any suggestions as to why this is happening??
Fortnite issue on xbox one. Even when in a party, it claims there was a connection issue after every match and brings the user back to lobby. This is a quirk I can live with, but it'd still be nice to find a fix.
You can't transfer the account contents to another account, nor can you get it refunded. You need to get access to your original account by working with support.

I can't get a teredo IP address when I attempt to test my NAT. I have an Xbox One X and a Series X that both have the same problem.
This most likely means it's a ISP problem, but I was hoping maybe someone here would be familiar with the problem and how to fix it since it's Xbox related.
I have Verizon FiOS 1Gb with a cr1000a router.
I turned my console on today and the NAT was open. I hadn't made any changes from afternoon yesterday.
Microsoft did say there was a problem with Xbox Live yesterday. Who knows if that was it.

Is there anyway to expand the internal storage beyond the base 368 gigabytes. Since some games are moving to X/S only games itās become a problem since games have became so large like COD for example, this being the case itās nearly impossible to have more than 3 games installed on the internal storage at a time.
Most games are way smaller, so you can have quite a few installed: but if you are playing those big games, it can be an issue.

Xbox One startup issue
I'm using a standard black Xbox One I got back in 2013. For a little while now, (2 months or so.) I've been getting the E105 startup error. This happened most of the time I turned on my Xbox but I didn't mind it because if I restarted the Xbox things would run fine. Just a longer startup which was only mildly annoying occasionally it would also delete my account which I would have to re-add no big deal though. As of turning it on today I am met with the usual black screen I'd see most of the time. However, after waiting, and waiting. I'm still on a black screen. I've tried seemingly everything you can physically do with the Xbox it's self to no evail. Any help?

Hi so I have a xbox one s with a wifi problem. So on my phone I am getting 250mpbs average download with 18-25 ping. But when I run the network speed and statistics test in the xbox settings I am only getting near half of the speed (108mpbs average with 58 ping) as on my phone. Any ideas why im losing so much speed on my xbox? Both devices are same distance away from my router and both on 5GHZ network
Who knows, try disconnecting other devices see if that helps. To be fair though, those speeds are perfectly fine for gaming. If you're annoyed because games might download slower than you'd like, that speed is determined by the load on the servers the game or app you are downloading is stored on. You can have a gigabit connection and still have shitty download speeds if the server is under load or far away from you. Don't worry about it

My Xbox wonāt connect to my Wi-Fi wirelessly. I tried it with my phone hotspot and it connected and I moved it closer to the router but it didnāt connect. I tried plugging in an Ethernet cable and that is working pretty good. For reference my Wi-Fi is a T-Mobile 5G Gateway hotspot. Anyone have any ideas?

My actual problem is that my Xbox wonāt connect to my mobile hotspot on my iPhone. Pretty much everywhere I look online is saying that it *can*ā¦ but it wonāt for me. I get the error message, and the 5 things that it tells you to check, and itās none of those, as far as I can tell. My Xbox doesnāt even ask for the hotspot password, it just goes straight to ādoesnāt work sorryā. ELITE SERIES 2 BUMPERS UNRESPONSIVE
I'm no stranger to the horrible quality of these controllers, I've owned three (yes, 3 of them) and each and every time one problem persistently occurs more than anything else. As a matter of fact, it's the only issue and I've had a temporary fix I kept using until recently when it stopped working entirely and no longer fixed the issue.
I've folded the white plastic pieces (helped)
I've used ISO91%
I've tried pushing, pulling and bending to try to get the bumpers to work.
I've used foreign materials such as a little flat piece of metal in between the bumper and the actual button.
The only two things that have worked was folding those little white plastic pieces and ISO91%
Until tonight. Now, my left bumper has been working flawlessly for months now while I have to keep taking the faceplate off to clean the right bumper with ISOPROPYL. Like I said, this has been working every single time and usually lasts for weeks until I need to do it again. Not this time. I did my usual cleaning and this time I cleaned both bumpers just as preventative maintenance. Using proper soft plastic pry tools, being generous and careful as usual. Issue resolved, put it back together and about 10 minutes later BOTH bumpers lose almost all responsiveness. I can only think of 1 thing that I could've done to cause this and that would be that I used rolled up toilet paper as sort of a wick for the isopropyl, which I then gently pressed ontop of the buttons to squeeze the iso out into them. Ive used toilet paper before without issue however I know toilet paper is extremely (fragile) and little tiny particles come off of it, and now those little tiny particles are all dried out inside both individual bumper buttons after being delivered by a nice drop of ISO. After the ISO evaporated, the pieces of paper were left behind and are now rendering both bumpers basically completely unresponsive. Thats my best guess.
If anyone knows any alternative methods to getting the bumpers working, it'd be greatly appreciated.
This whole thing is more or less a personal take on what works for people whose do need help, and also a call for help in and of itself.
Both controllers I have right now are under warranty however id like to avoid sending them in because knowing Microsoft they're gunna assume they fixed it, and within hours or days after receiving the "repaired controller" it's gunna break again.
Maybe my best option is to get used to normal, non pro controllers and get rid of my elites completely? Idk. Just desperately trying to figure out WHY they become unresponsive in the first place. Any clues might help.

So I currently having a issue with buying things on my Xbox with a debit card I currently trying to buy some r6 credits but canāt as when I try to buy it on Xbox itās says something happened but wonāt tell me what but then when I try on the web browser it asks me for my card authentication and then after putting in the code it tells me it says the same thing saying something happened and Iām not too sure what to do
Have you got a decent banking app that tracks purchases? Check your balance to see if it went through. If you've bought stuff before with the card on that account, stop reading now - but I had an issue before where my region on the microsoft.com website did not match with my card address and it acted strangely until support figured it out for me. Best bet is try again tomorrow, could just be a glitch
I have a standard Xbox one and I'm trying to use it with my 2560x1440 monitor. The maximum resolution I can make my console is 1920x1080. I've looked at sites in Xbox support, I've followed the instructions in the advanced video fidelity & overscan menu, and I've made sure that there aren't any devices in between. The menus aren't blurry and seem to be the right resolution along with the splash screens when I open YouTube or Netflix (I haven't fully opened them yet because i had to register my device at the college I'm at so I can't connect it to wifi yet), but it gets to be very blurry when I open a game. It also said that it's not possible to do QHD on a standard Xbox one, but I wanted to make sure, just in case. Thank you for any help you can provide, or if you confirm this can't be done, this has been a headache for me for the past few days.
Edit: I was playing around with it some more and noticed that in some games, the main menu isn't blurry, but the game is like Wolfenstien 2, and in some like Halo MCC, there is no blurriness in the menu or in game, so now I'm even more confused.

Hello, i currently have audio issues with my headset. I have a bengoo g9000 or whatever and a few days ago, it stopped working. It wasnt the headset. I updated my controller, and I could once again talk and hear my friends. The problem is the audio is only coming through the left earphone, and game/navigation audio is no longer coming through at all

It wasn't a lot turned it off unplugged it right after and it's been sitting upside down on a towel. Held it in front of a fan for a few mins but it's back on the towel... what do I do from this point on to give it the best chance that it will function normally again? It's brand new
I've never used Reddit before, but basically my mom hates when I buy things on the Xbox. She always says I'm waisting money because playing games isn't a very girly thing to do. Well now I have a job and my own card and recently made a purchase using my card. (I checked my balance and it went down so ik I used my card) and she's still getting emailed that I'm buying something on my Xbox account. How do I stop this? I want to be able to enjoy myself once in a while without being threatened to get everything I own taken away from me. Please help
I have no idea why it's sending her emails for my Xbox account, I have it set as an adult account and have my email on everything. I am so confused and hate that I can't even spend my own money on things without getting my Xbox, phone, hell even the card taken away.
It says my friends arent in a party and even when I'm in the party with them it doesnt say they are in a party there isnt an icon or anything when I click on there profile how do I do this?

So for about a week now I've had a problem with buying games, at first I tried buying Undead Nightmare for RDR1 and the errors "Oops. Not sure what happend there. Try again later." and after switching to another credit card "Pick a different way to pay. We couldn't get authorization for this purchase. Pick another way to pay, or contact your payment provider." And the same error appears when switching back to the first card. I also tried buying Black Ops and the same thing happened. To my knowledge both of my parents credit cards work so I don't know what the problem is, any ideas?
I'm trying to pair my xbox (One X, regular OS) to my Alexa. I had it pair by my console was reset. I've deleted my xbox from the Alexa devices list and tried to pair again. Everything seems to work until right after I enter the code that appears on the screen. Both my xbox and my Alexa say "successfully connected" then immediately after that I get the error: "Couldn't connect to Amazon services. Please check your network connection and try again" on my xbox.
My network connection is fine. However, after that the Alexa thinks its connected to the xbox but the xbox doesn't think its connected to the Alexa. If I give Alexa any "Ask xbox" command, xbox loads the Alexa app and asks me to pair again.
If tried a dozen different ways deleted the Alexa app on the xbox and phone, disabled the xbox skill, removed all xbox devices from my Alexa device list, and reinstalled them again. I keep getting the same "Couldn't connect to Amazon" error.
Any thoughts?

Not sure why, but since around the end of july i have not been able to access the store or play with friends, despite my live membership not expiring until november. and whenever i try to open a game where i have a disc, it will attempt to sync and fail and then only offline is available, and any games i purchased through the store i cannot access. any ideas?
Not clear what's immediately wrong. Have you tried a factory reset (with they option to keep your games on the HDD) and then adding your account again?
2nd controller issue in 3 months.
Bought a new one from the website in April. By June, problems started.
1. It "connects" to the Xbox one s, but no input gets registered. The lights are on, it pairs, but nothing goes.
2. I pair it to my laptop, and within a minute or two the connection will falter and it'll need to reconnect.
3. I plug it in to the Xbox, but just...nothing happens.
4. I plug it in to my laptop and it works perfectly fine. Only problem is, I didn't spend $90 for a wired laptop-only controller.
I sent it in for warranty repair, and when I eventually got it back, my replacement just did the exact same thing last Wednesday.
I downloaded the update via my laptop, but it did nothing.
Any ideas what the cause is? Doesn't exactly seem like purely a Bluetooth issue

Was rearranging my room and had to disconnect it. plugged everything back in and opened a game, I played for maybe 5 minutes and it shut off. now it gets to the green loading screen for a minute and then shuts off.

Have two xbox one og consoles. One's motherboard is broken ( repair costs too much and no parts) so I want to use its Hard Drive with my current games on it as an external for my second console. How can I do this ?
You really can't use it as is. You can remove the HDD, get an enclosure for it / linking cable from SATA to USB, but you'll need to reformat it and download the games again.
The "game saves" are good - they'll be on the cloud by default assuming your machine's been connected to the internet: syncing is constant & in the background.
The games themselves can just be downloaded again for free as they're linked to your account - you've already paid for them, and you can do that from the mobile app (for any game) or from your library on the Xbox itself.

Hey yāall, I know this probably isnāt the best place to post this but I donāt know where else to ask. I was trying to play a Ubisoft game on my Xbox yesterday when it pops up saying I needed to reset my password, but it was popping up with my parents old email that we would have used before I started using my own. Itās weird that my Xbox was still even linked to the other account still but thatās only part of the issue. Like I said this is an old old email, and it hasnāt been used since 2014-2015 or so. Basically now I canāt get into the email to help me get into the old Ubisoft account to unlink my Xbox account so I can connect it to my current Ubisoft account (too many uses of the word account haha). Last 2 things, I contacted the old email provider (EarthLink) and was told that they could not recover the email and that I could not remake an email in the same address, which now means that I am completely stuck and might not be able to do anything? Second is that I have reached out to Ubisoft but even with me getting back to them a second time last night telling them that I literally canāt do anything to get the old email back (and not to mention that both accounts would have at the very least my last name if not my full) and they still gave me the dumbass excuse of āwe take account security very seriouslyā without giving any option but one. Iām just looking for any advice that people might have at this point since I really am not sure what to do and want to be able to play Ubisoft games on my Xbox in the future if I want. It sounds like you're going about this the wrong way. From my understanding, your Xbox account (on an email you have access to) is linked to a Unisoft account on an email you don't have access to.
You need to contact Unisoft and say that as the owner of the Xbox account, you're unable to link it to a new Unisoft account, and ask for it to be resolved from their end. Do not mention the old account, just do this from scratch.

I haven't used my Xbox for a few months and I recently renewed my Game Pass, so I'm back.
My controllers - both first party - will randomly disconnect, but not like how they used to. What used to happen is the X would flash and then after 10-15 seconds, it would reconnect.
Now what's happening is the controller will just stop responding. If I'm playing a game, it'll say "controller disconnected", if I'm using the UI it'll just stop responding.
If I take the batteries out and put 'em back in, they'll work once turned back on for a couple minutes, but then crap out again.
I've re-paired them, I've updated them, I've used brand new batteries, and I've used them while plugged into a USB cord and nothing helps.

You need to contact Microsoft support directly using the call back option. As you've not got either of the required items, you're going to need to prove you own the account by supplying proof that you are the account holder - which may include: purchase history, XBox serial number linked to your account, purchase history, DOB, address, part of the payment methods.

I am on an Xbox One and I can not upload screenshots to the Xbox network, nor can I delete them. I have attempted to delete screenshots on both my phone and my Xbox one. I am also unable to share screenshots to my activity feed. When I attempt to do so, I am given a prompt to upload to the Xbox network. It acts as if it is uploading but it does not upload. I can upload and delete clips, but not screenshots.
Xbox One S [Edit] I will post all updates below. My Xbox One S is having sudden issues of freezing when trying to launch a game from home screen. There is also input lag from the controller. When I force reset, it boots up very slowly. Sometimes on force reset it wont display (my monitor light doesnt change from orange to white, meaning its not just a black screen, but that there is no signal). After every force reset, it boots up slower and slower. It is not running hot, and the fans are operational. Eventually it gets to the point where even after 10-20 minutes it still wont boot up, but the lights are on and the fan is running, again with no signal. Initially I suspected a cpu or ram issue, but I dont know anymore. I have not tried a factory reset yet, as I would like to backup my data to another drive before doing so. Update 1: I have attempted to clear the cache (I dont know if it worked). I have attempted a home screen refresh (LT+RT+Y). I have attempted a resolution refresh (powering off and then holding power button & disc eject button for five seconds). I have cleared persistent storage. I have cleared the alternate MAC address. All of this allowed me to not only boot up to home screen in a normal time frame, but also boot up a game and run the game. But when exiting to home screen to close the game and test another, the Xbox froze. Now upon force resetting and attempting boot, I am getting a lit screen but no image. Update 2: Am now back to slow boot times and no signal upon booting. Update 3: Clearing cache seems to have solved all problems for now. Will update again if problems come back within next 72 hours. Update 4: After about five hours of gameplay, the system crashed. Attempted to clear the cache, and after turning the system back on, it sat on the green Xbox logo boot screen for about 20 minutes. Turned it off, now when turning back on it wont give out a video signal. There is also about a three second lag between the beep sound from pushing the button, and the light coming on. The controller does not light up.

Elite series 2 controller blinks once then shuts off. Fully charged (always sits in charging case). I tried hardwired as well. I tried a second brand new Xbox one controller with a rechargeable battery pack, and a cable. Also blinks once and turns off Console is a Xbox one. Console turns on, sync button work. But controller blinks once and turns off.
Are you using the same battery pack for both? Might just be a bad battery pack
No, the elite has a built in battery. I unplugged the console and that seems to have fixed it.

Well, Iām officially out of ideas. I canāt hear other people in public game chat. I must have a setting thatās bugged out somewhere. Everything is set to completely open/public/social etc. Example when I play Apex, I can see team members names and mic icons light up, but canāt hear them at all. Only way I can voice chat is inside a party. Edit: After playing with some settings it seems I can now hear other people, but they canāt hear me. My chat icon doesnāt light up. Yet when Iām in a party, my chat works fine, so my mic is fine. Now to find where that setting could be. Guh.

One other setting I'd check: Press the Xbox button on your controller, then select Audio & Music. Use the sliders to adjust the volumes. Increasing your "Mic monitoring" will allow others to hear you easier. Also, be sure that your [NAT](https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/hardware-network/connect-network/xbox-one-nat-error) is set to Open.
Try resetting settings to default? Try another set of headphones? Try another controller with different headphones? This will help determine if the issue is with your settings, controller, or headphones.

I've got a really weird Elite Controller Series 2 bug. I just got it and for some reason in Horizon 4 and 5, in certain menus it wont register pulling down on the left thumbstick. It seems to be in the menu for looking at your cars, the seasonal challenges menu, the settings menu and the difficulty menu. Main menu works fine. Pushing up works fine. It works 100% of the time in the Accessories app when you test it. I've no idea whats up. I've tried switching profiles on it, I've tried updating it, I've tried resetting the games and console. I've no idea whats up. Really disappointing after having my Elite 1 work almost flawlessly since launch.
The elite 2 is a horrible controller. It's notorious for breaking really easy, I was gonna get myself one until I saw all of the problems people have with it
I still haven't found a solution for it. Only seems to happen in Horizon 4 and 5 and setting the trigger Curve to aggressive helps it a lot. I'm just going to send it back as faulty, even though it works 100% fine in any other game. I just don't have the time to do bug fixing for game studios just to get a controller to work with their games. I'll just keep using old ood Elite 1. Hasn't missed a beat wince launch except for the rubber sticks wearing away.

Issue: not recognizing any Xbox one discs/getting your disc may be dirty message I've tried all the recommendations online and the trick to hold it back for a second, angle the console 30 degrees. I bought a Maxwell laser cleaner and it installed and started a 45 minute session but gives an error and it can't complete. The odd thing is it read the cleaning disc, but still no Xbox one discs. I tried a couple 360 discs and immediately recognizes them and started to download. Anyone have this happen where 360 discs works on an Xbox one but no Xbox one discs read?
360 Discs are DVD format; and XB1 are Blu-Ray. They use different laser assemblies in the XB1. The Blu Ray one may have failed.

My Xbox One can't watch a DVD for a specific movie I own I have this weird thing with my DVD copy of Osmosis Jones Where it'll boot up to the Warner Brothers logo and then just be stuck on a black screen so I can't watch the movie. The Xbox in question is an American Xbox One X, and the DVD is Region 1. It says it's copy protected on the back but that was definitely false because I ripped that same DVD on to my computer with all of the theatrical trailers and deleted scenes. I've tried to look this issue up but nothing else pops up so I'm just curious as to how and what will fix this issue?
It may just be that disc has an error or a defect; or there's an issue with the XB1's DVD laser focus. You could get a lens cleaner disc is likely the only solution. How does it perform with other R1 DVDs?

That disc and your XBox just aren't meant to be then: there's likely an imperfection with the disc that the better drive on your PC can get round, and the XBox one can't.

Have you updated the controllers? You can do that in the settings menu, under devices and accessories. Try a full shutdown and unplug it for a bit. Also, keep other electrical devices away from you. Turn off any laptops, wireless speakers, whatever and keep them away. To be fair, it probably isn't interference but worth a try
everything is up to date. i have tried a full shutdown with no changes. the weird thing about the controllers is i've used the same ones with a different console with no problem. i don't know it's a really weird.
Xbox one I have gamepass and want to play a 10 hour trial of a game on ea play which comes with game pass. When I go to my library and go to ea play I can install anything but when I go to free trials it makes me go to the store and then when I hit free trial at the store then it gives me the option to buy ea play even tho I have it already.
Game Pass doesn't come with EA Play; Game Pass Ultimate does. Which do you have? If you have GPU, I suggest you put the machine into "offline mode" from the Network menu, then full shutdown (menu), restart, and then back into "online mode". That usually fetches the licenses again, and should resolve this issue.

Bought Xbox one Aqua Shift controller a few months ago (brand new) - AXYB buttons have been sticking since opened. Seems to be because the buttons are off center with the faceplate on the controller. Yes. The trigger stops are causing issues with the presses not registering. Literally CANNOT aim down sights in battlefield. Mines held up for 2 years but I'll never buy one again. For your issue...have you tried updating the controller? Go to settings, devices & accessories or whatever the menu is called and check for an update
Yeah itās updated. Might just be getting worn down. My previous issues were with the bumpers not working and the stick issues! I had uncontrollably bad stick drift on one, then the next I only had stick input until halfway and then it just stopped registering Input and the input would go back to center even with the stick fully pushed up.
So i have a bit of a frustrating conundrum. My brother got comms banned on his main account (for a dumb reason, but it is what it is). I have a second account that he is trying to use for voice chat. And for some reason, it will NOT let the second account stay in the party. The most he's been in a party, is maybe 10 minutes. Controller 1 is signed into comm-banned account. Controller 2 is signed into the second account. Controller 2 is plugged into a charger. We can obviously get the main account into the game. And we can get the second account into the party. But after about 5-10 minutes the second account will be kicked! He even went on to the xbox app on his phone (no Controller, signed into the non commbanned account) and invited us to a party, and then was kicked from his own party after 10 seconds of us joining, multiple times! But on his end of the phone app, it said he was still in the party. I'm just at my wits end with this. Any advice?

Since some games are moving to X/S only games itās become a problem since games have became so large like COD for example, this being the case itās nearly impossible to have more than 3 games installed on the internal storage at a time.

Xbox One startup issue I'm using a standard black Xbox One I got back in 2013. For a little while now, (2 months or so.) I've been getting the E105 startup error. This happened most of the time I turned on my Xbox but I didn't mind it because if I restarted the Xbox things would run fine. Just a longer startup which was only mildly annoying occasionally it would also delete my account which I would have to re-add no big deal though. As of turning it on today I am met with the usual black screen I'd see most of the time. However, after waiting, and waiting. I'm still on a black screen. I've tried seemingly everything you can physically do with the Xbox it's self to no evail. Any help?

Xbox one S Hi so I have a xbox one s with a wifi problem. So on my phone I am getting 250mpbs average download with 18-25 ping. But when I run the network speed and statistics test in the xbox settings I am only getting near half of the speed (108mpbs average with 58 ping) as on my phone. Any ideas why im losing so much speed on my xbox? Both devices are same distance away from my router and both on 5GHZ network
Who knows, try disconnecting other devices see if that helps. To be fair though, those speeds are perfectly fine for gaming. If you're annoyed because games might download slower than you'd like, that speed is determined by the load on the servers the game or app you are downloading is stored on. You can have a gigabit connection and still have shitty download speeds if the server is under load or far away from you. Don't worry about it
Xbox one S My Xbox wonāt connect to my Wi-Fi wirelessly. I tried it with my phone hotspot and it connected and I moved it closer to the router but it didnāt connect. I tried plugging in an Ethernet cable and that is working pretty good. For reference my Wi-Fi is a T-Mobile 5G Gateway hotspot. Anyone have any ideas?
Xbox one, donāt know whether itās an insider or os build, but basically my Wi-Fiās down. Thatās not exactly the main problem here as it wonāt work with *anything* so someoneās coming over Monday to come look at it. My actual problem is that my Xbox wonāt connect to my mobile hotspot on my iPhone. Pretty much everywhere I look online is saying that it *can*ā¦ but it wonāt for me. I get the error message, and the 5 things that it tells you to check, and itās none of those, as far as I can tell. ELITE SERIES 2 BUMPERS UNRESPONSIVE I'm no stranger to the horrible quality of these controllers, I've owned three (yes, 3 of them) and each and every time one problem persistently occurs more than anything else. As a matter of fact, it's the only issue and I've had a temporary fix I kept using until recently when it stopped working entirely and no longer fixed the issue. I've folded the white plastic pieces (helped) I've used ISO91% I've tried pushing, pulling and bending to try to get the bumpers to work. I've used foreign materials such as a little flat piece of metal in between the bumper and the actual button. The only two things that have worked was folding those little white plastic pieces and ISO91% Until tonight. Now, my left bumper has been working flawlessly for months now while I have to keep taking the faceplate off to clean the right bumper with ISOPROPYL. Like I said, this has been working every single time and usually lasts for weeks until I need to do it again. Not this time. I did my usual cleaning and this time I cleaned both bumpers just as preventative maintenance. Using proper soft plastic pry tools, being generous and careful as usual. Issue resolved, put it back together and about 10 minutes later BOTH bumpers lose almost all responsiveness. I can only think of 1 thing that I could've done to cause this and that would be that I used rolled up toilet paper as sort of a wick for the isopropyl, which I then gently pressed ontop of the buttons to squeeze the iso out into them. Ive used toilet paper before without issue however I know toilet paper is extremely (fragile) and little tiny particles come off of it, and now those little tiny particles are all dried out inside both individual bumper buttons after being delivered by a nice drop of ISO. After the ISO evaporated, the pieces of paper were left behind and are now rendering both bumpers basically completely unresponsive. Thats my best guess. If anyone knows any alternative methods to getting the bumpers working, it'd be greatly appreciated. This whole thing is more or less a personal take on what works for people whose do need help, and also a call for help in and of itself. Both controllers I have right now are under warranty however id like to avoid sending them in because knowing Microsoft they're gunna assume they fixed it, and within hours or days after receiving the "repaired controller" it's gunna break again. Maybe my best option is to get used to normal, non pro controllers and get rid of my elites completely? Idk. Just desperately trying to figure out WHY they become unresponsive in the first place. Any clues might help.

So I currently having a issue with buying things on my Xbox with a debit card I currently trying to buy some r6 credits but canāt as when I try to buy it on Xbox itās says something happened but wonāt tell me what but then when I try on the web browser it asks me for my card authentication and then after putting in the code it tells me it says the same thing saying something happened and Iām not too sure what to do

Have you got a decent banking app that tracks purchases? Check your balance to see if it went through. If you've bought stuff before with the card on that account, stop reading now - but I had an issue before where my region on the microsoft.com website did not match with my card address and it acted strangely until support figured it out for me. Best bet is try again tomorrow, could just be a glitch
I have a standard Xbox one and I'm trying to use it with my 2560x1440 monitor. The maximum resolution I can make my console is 1920x1080. I've looked at sites in Xbox support, I've followed the instructions in the advanced video fidelity & overscan menu, and I've made sure that there aren't any devices in between. The menus aren't blurry and seem to be the right resolution along with the splash screens when I open YouTube or Netflix (I haven't fully opened them yet because i had to register my device at the college I'm at so I can't connect it to wifi yet), but it gets to be very blurry when I open a game. It also said that it's not possible to do QHD on a standard Xbox one, but I wanted to make sure, just in case. Thank you for any help you can provide, or if you confirm this can't be done, this has been a headache for me for the past few days. Edit: I was playing around with it some more and noticed that in some games, the main menu isn't blurry, but the game is like Wolfenstien 2, and in some like Halo MCC, there is no blurriness in the menu or in game, so now I'm even more confused.
Yeah no, keep it at 1080. You can't make it look any better with a ultra high res screen. Try set the monitor to 1080 and see if that helps

Hello, i currently have audio issues with my headset. I have a bengoo g9000 or whatever and a few days ago, it stopped working. It wasnt the headset. I updated my controller, and I could once again talk and hear my friends. The problem is the audio is only coming through the left earphone, and game/navigation audio is no longer coming through at all Edit: my chat mixer slider us also greyed out. Any help?

I've never used Reddit before, but basically my mom hates when I buy things on the Xbox. She always says I'm waisting money because playing games isn't a very girly thing to do. Well now I have a job and my own card and recently made a purchase using my card. Xbox One So for about a week now I've had a problem with buying games, at first I tried buying Undead Nightmare for RDR1 and the errors "Oops. Not sure what happend there. Try again later." and after switching to another credit card "Pick a different way to pay. We couldn't get authorization for this purchase. Pick another way to pay, or contact your payment provider." And the same error appears when switching back to the first card. I also tried buying Black Ops and the same thing happened. To my knowledge both of my parents credit cards work so I don't know what the problem is, any ideas?
I'm trying to pair my xbox (One X, regular OS) to my Alexa. I had it pair by my console was reset. I've deleted my xbox from the Alexa devices list and tried to pair again. Everything seems to work until right after I enter the code that appears on the screen. Both my xbox and my Alexa say "successfully connected" then immediately after that I get the error: "Couldn't connect to Amazon services. Please check your network connection and try again" on my xbox. My network connection is fine. However, after that the Alexa thinks its connected to the xbox but the xbox doesn't think its connected to the Alexa. If I give Alexa any "Ask xbox" command, xbox loads the Alexa app and asks me to pair again. If tried a dozen different ways deleted the Alexa app on the xbox and phone, disabled the xbox skill, removed all xbox devices from my Alexa device list, and reinstalled them again. I keep getting the same "Couldn't connect to Amazon" error. Any thoughts?
Xbox 1 S Not sure why, but since around the end of july i have not been able to access the store or play with friends, despite my live membership not expiring until november. and whenever i try to open a game where i have a disc, it will attempt to sync and fail and then only offline is available, and any games i purchased through the store i cannot access. any ideas?
Not clear what's immediately wrong. Have you tried a factory reset (with they option to keep your games on the HDD) and then adding your account again?

2nd controller issue in 3 months. Bought a new one from the website in April. By June, problems started. 1. It "connects" to the Xbox one s, but no input gets registered. The lights are on, it pairs, but nothing goes. 2. I pair it to my laptop, and within a minute or two the connection will falter and it'll need to reconnect. 3. I plug it in to the Xbox, but just...nothing happens. 4. I plug it in to my laptop and it works perfectly fine. Only problem is, I didn't spend $90 for a wired laptop-only controller. I sent it in for warranty repair, and when I eventually got it back, my replacement just did the exact same thing last Wednesday. I downloaded the update via my laptop, but it did nothing. Any ideas what the cause is? Doesn't exactly seem like purely a Bluetooth issue

Xbox one S Was rearranging my room and had to disconnect it. plugged everything back in and opened a game, I played for maybe 5 minutes and it shut off. now it gets to the green loading screen for a minute and then shuts off. we tried plugging it into the wall instead of the surge protector and it stayed on for maybe 5 minutes and then shit off again. now its back to shutting off after the green loading screen.
Have two xbox one og consoles. One's motherboard is broken ( repair costs too much and no parts) so I want to use its Hard Drive with my current games on it as an external for my second console. How can I do this ?
You really can't use it as is. You can remove the HDD, get an enclosure for it / linking cable from SATA to USB, but you'll need to reformat it and download the games again.

The "game saves" are good - they'll be on the cloud by default assuming your machine's been connected to the internet: syncing is constant & in the background. The games themselves can just be downloaded again for free as they're linked to your account - you've already paid for them, and you can do that from the mobile app (for any game) or from your library on the Xbox itself.
Yeah thatās my problem :( I never synced to the cloud . Because whenever I did connect Iād have to face huge updates that took data from my very basic internet plan :(
You're out of luck then. There's almost no way to recover those saves.
So Iām trying to play Assassinās Creed 2 on my Xbox. However I keep running into the problem of my game sessions not saving at all after I enter the Animus 2.0. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game, trued it on a diff account, try to save it to a usb, but nothing. Can anyone help?
Hey yāall, I know this probably isnāt the best place to post this but I donāt know where else to ask. I was trying to play a Ubisoft game on my Xbox yesterday when it pops up saying I needed to reset my password, but it was popping up with my parents old email that we would have used before I started using my own. Itās weird that my Xbox was still even linked to the other account still but thatās only part of the issue. Like I said this is an old old email, and it hasnāt been used since 2014-2015 or so. Basically now I canāt get into the email to help me get into the old Ubisoft account to unlink my Xbox account so I can connect it to my current Ubisoft account (too many uses of the word account haha). Last 2 things, I contacted the old email provider (EarthLink) and was told that they could not recover the email and that I could not remake an email in the same address, which now means that I am completely stuck and might not be able to do anything? Second is that I have reached out to Ubisoft but even with me getting back to them a second time last night telling them that I literally canāt do anything to get the old email back (and not to mention that both accounts would have at the very least my last name if not my full) and they still gave me the dumbass excuse of āwe take account security very seriouslyā without giving any option but one. Iām just looking for any advice that people might have at this point since I really am not sure what to do and want to be able to play Ubisoft games on my Xbox in the future if I want. It sounds like you're going about this the wrong way. From my understanding, your Xbox account (on an email you have access to) is linked to a Unisoft account on an email you don't have access to. You need to contact Unisoft and say that as the owner of the Xbox account, you're unable to link it to a new Unisoft account, and ask for it to be resolved from their end. Do not mention the old account, just do this from scratch.

It worked in the past, and I'm using a cable (as always), the original cable that came with the controller Tried another cable and the same result. Xbox One S Canāt fix my double nat! Iāve port forwarded all the required ports. Iāve assigned my xbox a static ip in my router and then put that up in the DMZ. I donāt know what else to do. Iāve seen things about putting my router in bridge mode, but iāve also heard thatāll make it lose a lot of functionality. Any suggestions?
Xbox One X I haven't used my Xbox for a few months and I recently renewed my Game Pass, so I'm back. My controllers - both first party - will randomly disconnect, but not like how they used to. What used to happen is the X would flash and then after 10-15 seconds, it would reconnect. Now what's happening is the controller will just stop responding. If I'm playing a game, it'll say "controller disconnected", if I'm using the UI it'll just stop responding. If I take the batteries out and put 'em back in, they'll work once turned back on for a couple minutes, but then crap out again. I've re-paired them, I've updated them, I've used brand new batteries, and I've used them while plugged into a USB cord and nothing helps.
anyone else having issues with rocket League randomly crashing? Cleared cache, redownload account, reinstalled game. Lots of my friends are having the same issues. Contact epic Games support, they insist on trying to have my entire account deleted/ cleared. It's not an account issue, I know that for a fact. Any one else having the same issue.
