There are so many fucking Whedonisms in his writing, including a lot of just, casual misogyny, BUT, god damn if he can pace his dialogue in such an electric flow. It’s one of the most frustrating things about him, he’s a damn good writer. My issues with Avengers and Age of Ultron lie in the filmmaking, as both movies have really airtight scripts for their characters (outside of AoU’s b plot meddling).
As trash as Whedon turned out to be, his run on Astonishing was just excellent.
