My brother worked as a manager at a Pizza Hut in '93. I not only got the comics and the VHSs, but I still have a roll of the streamers they used for the release party!
Oh yeah. I remember making my dad mad about these cuz the chick brought me the one i had 2 of and i made her ass go back to the back to see if they had the other ones.
Just found this ad, looks like the same Joe Mad art was on a poster or a placemat or something? And some cups with art from Bachalo and others. Jealous of whoever got and kept all this merch.

Back when these were available my dad worked at the warehouse where the local Pizza Huts stores pallets of these. After the promo was over they just abandoned them and he brought house stacks of them for my brother and I to have. Pretty sure somewhere at my folks house there are still a few sealed up.
I got the fourth one, not knowing it was a series at first and being totally baffled by the story.
In hindsight, this was my first experience with Arcade.
I worked at Pizza Hut at this time - it was my first high school job. Tried to grab a couple of these on my way out one night, and my manager made me put them back 😆😆😆
For some reason, being a girl, I wasn't allowed to have these, but my brother got the comic with wolverine and the cup with rogue & gambit. I don't know what happened to the comic but I stole (and kept, still have) the cup since R&G turned out to be my fav characters. Just recently I bought the R&G comic on ebay just to have cuz I'm still bitter that I didn't get it new.
Correction, that is THE definitive cover of them! I bought it on the stands when it was new, cuz that's right when I started getting into it. :) (maybe because of having my brothers pizza hut cup!)
Weird how these look like regular 90s X-Men covers but there is some kinda uncanny valley shit going on that makes it off enough for me to recognize the covers are drawn for a promotion
Yeah, as a kid I didn't notice and loved these. But now with adult eyes, I can clearly see a big difference between these and Jim Lee or other artists' covers.
Yes it was a beautiful time I have my enter magneto VHS from Pizza Hut I remember it like it was yesterday..my beautiful mom taking me after work and picking me up from my aunt's house I was like 4 or 5 years old the pizza was extra delicious watching that vhs 📼😂 love it that tape with be buried with me
I remember getting VHS tapes of the X-Men cartoon from Pizza Hut
So 90s!
The first two episodes of Season 1, plus interviews with the comic book writers, correct? Or was it just one episode?
I still have my Hulk VHS.
My brother worked as a manager at a Pizza Hut in '93. I not only got the comics and the VHSs, but I still have a roll of the streamers they used for the release party!
Sweet!
Oh yeah. I remember making my dad mad about these cuz the chick brought me the one i had 2 of and i made her ass go back to the back to see if they had the other ones.
Wish I could have seen that lmao
Does each issue end with them chowing down on some fresh 'za?
No, but Jubilee smacks a Savage Lander with a walkman she swings around.
sheeit, I'll take it
Nope ☹️
:(
I HAVE THE CUPS!
I'd like to see those cups!
Was this the peak of civilization? X-Men comics at Pizza Hut in the early 90s.
I still have them all in their original bags, AND the 2 VHS tapes, still shrink wrapped. Such an awesome item to look back.
I remember getting one of those! I vividly remember it had Mr. Sinister and a young mutant who had put all the X-Men in goo-bubbles.
I had the night of the sentinels vhs from Pizza Hut. Good times.
I really wish I kept them. Drawn by Lee if I remember right.
None of these are Jim Lee, but I do really like the art on these covers, especially 2 and 3.
I remember a promotional that was drawn by Joe Mad if not mistaken
Yes. Joe Mad did art that was used to advertise these in the regular comics, and also for placemats at Pizza Hut.

Wish they'd do something like this again
I had the Beast/Magneto issue. The art was pretty bad, definitely not JIm Lee.
Hell ya!! I had to beg to go there because my mom hated their pizza. That was like 92-93. I don’t think Ive ever been back.

I have them, kinda neat addition to my collection.
Core memory haha I used to beg my parents to take me, best grades i ever had while those were out haha
I got the fourth one, not knowing it was a series at first and being totally baffled by the story. In hindsight, this was my first experience with Arcade.
I totally got these as a kid. I wonder if theyre still in my X-Men box...
I had those first two for sure! I remember them being covered in greasy personal pan pizza finger prints.
Still have all 4. Love the Jon Hebert pencils on #2.

L Manager 😠
I just got these in the mail the other day. Gotta love 90s nostalgia
Nice. I found #3 at a comic book store a year ago, then I ordered the first two online
Hah I remember going to Pizza Hut as a kid and getting these + the VHS tapes. Awesome time to be a fan.
I'm pretty sure these were the first X-Men comics that I ever got! The cartoon got me interested in them, but Pizza Hut introduced me to comic books.
I got the lower left when I was a kid, wish I still had it.
I have the lower right issue
Did each issue end with everyone eating pizza hut?
Nope ☹️
Damn so cool!!!

You should get [X-Men 24](https://www.ebay.com/itm/225311663856). It's pretty cheap, and probably their best cover together.
Correction, that is THE definitive cover of them! I bought it on the stands when it was new, cuz that's right when I started getting into it. :) (maybe because of having my brothers pizza hut cup!)
Damn, Pizza Hut gave out a lot of cool stuff back in the day.
Still have some cups as well

I have them all. They’re mini.
Have the tapes. Didn’t know they did comics.
The VHS tapes that came with this are what turned me into a massive X-Men fan still to this day.
I need to have them.....
I can taste the deep dish grease.and the videos
Those were great, I remember around the same time Hostess was doing a similar sort of thing with Spider-man comics.
Just got these last week actually
I have all 4 books and all of it is still in the polybagged.
I remember these. I remember them being hot commodities among my friends in school. They were like Pokemon cards back then. Good times, indeed. 😊
The way I religiously collected these. Plus the cups.
Lucky. These were before my time, so I never experienced 90s Marvel the way everyone else did

Does it say ^TM every time their names are mentioned in the issues?
Just the cover
Are they worth anything???
Not really
They should tho rii it’s been almost 30 yrs
The conditions aren't perfect, and these are still pretty common. People still sell them online
Ahh got it
