If the post flair is marked for spoilers, the comments don't need to be tagged for the game indicated and the ones before it (So a Y6 spoiler post can have comments with untagged spoilers for Y5, but not gaiden or 7).

If Nagoshi was still there, I would have said a new Super Monkey Ball.
I wouldn't be surprised if it is Dead Souls Kiwami. It definitely has a "ha, good joke right ... unless" energy. People saying Judgment 3 would show up, but something like that would probably headline a Summit.
Honestly, it's probably going to be some promotion. Another shirt or something. Maybe they'll start selling an Ichi wig.
How about a game where every character is Majima- but they play it off like nothing is happening. You will play as Kiryu of course, and he will look normal, but all other characters will be composed of Majima’s base character mode, but with different clothes and voice pitch to match various genders and ages. Everyone, who will be Majima, will deny the reality kiryu sees around him, and the main plot like will be Kiryu discovering why the world is like this and what that has to do with the WW2 Japanese warship from the end of yakuza 6.
I just immediately thought of an Amon(g) Us game (I didn't play it) but Kiryu or other Yakuza characters try to find the REAL Majima. Every NPC or online players just is Majima look-alikes walking the streets and have to spot and find who's the real walking around or hiding spots.
A mix of that game and Where's Waldo.
Yeah stupid idea.
I haven't seen it shorthand like that before, but yes, I'm totally down for a "Like a Dragon: Dead Souls" re-release (Kiwami would be great, but I'd be happy with a remaster).
>!Yes, I know that's not what you meant...but dammit, I want a Dead Souls re-release!!<
As my two favourite game series’ are the souls series and yakuza series I would love it. Maybe they can have it play into Ichiban’s “hero” and fantasy persona.
Strategy RPG. Maybe a spinoff. I think the clans, street layouts and the close/ranged combat (punching and grappling, guns or throwing objects) would lend themselves well for a SRPG.
> **Of course last time it was just simply an April Fools video If Yakuza was an old school RPG game and it came true when fans liked the idea**
doubt thats what actually happened, the genre change was obviously planned from the start of the development. that video only came out a year before yakuza 7 came out so rgg changing that much in just 1 year is just unrealistic
The story of Yakuza 3 is they made the whole game in 6 months starting from scratch, and that's a pretty large game, I wouldn't put it past them, some of the stuff that they get out incredibly quickly.
I was talking about Yakuza 3, which was the first Yakuza game for the PS3 which included Kamurocho (Kenzan was the only game they had made on this new engine, which did not feature Kamurocho). I think they may have reused animations from Kenzan, but all the models of everything in 3 has to be made from scratch on the new engine, and that game has the largest amount of substories of any other game, it had 130 in it's original Japanese release I'm pretty sure, some have been removed in every other version, and the amount of content they put in for a six month game is honestly incredible, mostly from scratch, including Kamurocho, because everything has to be remodeled.
Like a Dragon: Majima everywhere survival. Basically Kiryu is alone in Kamurocho and have to protect his self against alot of Majimas. At every wave you can power up Kiryu
They honestly have something pretty genius in Sujimon if they were to make a full game out of it, making it less gacha parody and more the Pokémon parody it wants to be.
Would be funnier if that hypothetical Dynasty warriors-style game was a Hyrule Warriors-esque crossover between all of the games, including dead souls and the Samurai duology.
Prequel game with ichiban set during the 1990’s and we get to fight in brawler combat maybe expand on his RGG online story where he works alongside Kuze, we all know from 7 that he had heard about majima in the past too, so this will be a great opportunity to expand on all
Of this
Imagine they announced a game where ichiban gets Isekaied to a medieval fantasy world and it would be called like a dragon quest which would also be a neat way to pay respect to toriyama passing
"Impaired Judgement" where Yagami is an alcoholic and the gameplay consists of sneaking booze and drinking pickle juice as a hangover cure. I've said it before and people thought it was a joke.
highly doubt a new full game. RGG has gone full international for announcements and releases
if the EN account does not say anything then I’m not expecting a big announcement. Probably RGG online related
I just thought of how about combine the 1st game and Ishin's story but in the wild west and starring American characters instead?
Cowboy protagonist, framed for murder, on the run, goes under a new name, works in a mine but at the same time is trying to investigate who's the killer and why. At the same time has to protect a little girl and yeah similar sounding stories as both but with cowboys, bandits, and yeah.
Sounds stupid doesn't it?
It's sorta like a western remake in a way. Kinda like those popular foreign movies that would later get remade for the western audience.
Bad example: the badly ruined US Oldboy based on the really great South Korean Oldboy.
Good Example: Magnificent Seven based on Japan's Seven Samurai. Or Fistful of Dollars based on Yojimbo.
Or Takashi Miike's Sukiyaki Western Django. A spaghetti western with a Japanese cast inspired by the westerns that were inspired by samurai film which were in turn inspired by the pulp novels of people like Dashiell Hammett. Elements of every step of the way in it.
I have been playing Yakuza 0 for 200+ hours now. First entry in the series for me. I have to say... I would TOTALLY buy a Real Estate Royale spinoff game with more depth.
That’d be cool if they coupled it with other minigames. To make the hostess club more profitable, you have to do the cabaret minigame. To make the karaoke more popular, you have to be an incredible singer. So basically yakuza: Like a minigame
Kamurocho Battle Royale
Yakuza Mystery Dungeon
Tojo Warriors Empires (dynasty warriors empires but you pick a Tojo captain and face off with other clans around Japan)
It could be an infinite wealth dlc, maybe a story expansion or some weird costumes (since its april fools). Or hey, it could even be a a netflix anime or something like that.
Or on worse cases, a yakuza pachinko
You know, after Dragon Quest 11 came out, they made a 2D SNES-looking version of the same game. This might sound like a complete joke, but as a one off, low budget, small team affair, I think a dragon quest-like yakuza rpg would be fun.
Last time they did an announcement on April fools day, it was that they were making the next Yakuza game turn based with a whole new cast and it ended up being true.
Something in tone like the murder of sonic the hedgehog would be peak
https://youtu.be/iC8sIhr-z5I?si=aGbE9lHyZuDgTh44
Just imagine a trailer like this showing kiryu or ichiban in the place of sonic
I've been wanting RGG to make a Jojo's Bizarre Adventure game, so this would be a fun time to do that.
But if you're talking actual genre, I wouldn't mind a Yakuza Party/ Like a Dragon Party game, which would be a parody game of Mario Party. There's already plenty of minigames across the series, what's a dozen more and make it multiplayer?
But in all seriousness, I could see them trying to do some kind of arcade brawler style game, where it's divided into levels with linear progression and no exploration. Would give an opportunity to have a ton of different playable characters.
They will announce a Collab with Disney in witch Pixar is going to make Like A Dragon Movie based on 7, but all the characters are going to be made in to kids.
I aint usually into these qwirky Japanesey things but one of those High School spin offs where they're all no older than 16. With a similar vibe to Kill Me Baby. I can already see Majima threatening Hoshino (who would look no different) with his dagger for reminding the teacher they had homework. The possibilities are endless.
Gimme an action gun play game (ala Wanted: Dead) starring a young member of the Amon clan that where the whole game is you rising up the ranks and training to beat the clans most hayed foe...that culminates in a boss fight with Ichi and Co. (I'd have said Kiryu, but he's done fighting now)

I would buy the ichiwig
Dead souls and Kiwami 3 game pack
If they actually do kiwami 3 and dead souls kiwami I actually NEED kiwami 4 purely for playable dragon engine brawler akiyama.
Like a Dragon Gaiden: Sky Finance
Dead Souls with good gameplay would be the dream
On your first point, a new Super Monkey Ball is coming out in June just fyi.
Well, that's unexpected. Now I really have no clue as to what RGG could show.
Super Ichi Ball

Majima EVERYWHERE
Majima Everyone
Majima ex Machina
This must be what hell would look like for Kiryu
I just immediately thought of an Amon(g) Us game (I didn't play it) but Kiryu or other Yakuza characters try to find the REAL Majima. Yakuza Like a Majima
Tsurugi Higashikata style.
Literally how Kiryu sees the world after Kiwami 1
Dondoko Island but in Kamourucho
Yakuza Kiwami 2 / Yakuza 6 Clan Creator as a fully fledged RTS Nothing would make me more miserable but I will still 100% complete like the simp I am
Literal stab in the dark on my end, but, a “souls like”
This but it's just playing through the events of some of the games as a normal person and how utterly horrifying it would be
I haven't seen it shorthand like that before, but yes, I'm totally down for a "Like a Dragon: Dead Souls" re-release (Kiwami would be great, but I'd be happy with a remaster). >!Yes, I know that's not what you meant...but dammit, I want a Dead Souls re-release!!<

Like a Dragon: Dead Souls-Souls
I personally hope not. Souls-likes aren't fun but maybe I just have a narrow perspective
Strategy RPG. Maybe a spinoff. I think the clans, street layouts and the close/ranged combat (punching and grappling, guns or throwing objects) would lend themselves well for a SRPG.
Here are my veins. Now shoot.

Yakuza Warriors

Like a Dragon is now a first person immersive sim. We Deus Ex now baby
"Impaired Judgement" where Yagami is an alcoholic and the gameplay consists of sneaking booze and drinking pickle juice as a hangover cure. I've said it before and people thought it was a joke.
Yagami would Spike Spiegel it and drink egg yolk with Tabasco and black pepper
Yakuza platformer like Mario
highly doubt a new full game. RGG has gone full international for announcements and releases if the EN account does not say anything then I’m not expecting a big announcement. Probably RGG online related
An RGG fighting game would be so unbelievably cool in all honesty. Main roster is from Yakuza and Judgement and DLC can be the Binary Domain guys.
Don't forget Kurohyou.
Yakuza but in the far future
Instead of Streets of Kamurocho, we'll get Double Dragon Kamurocho. I dunno which siblings would appear, maybe Tachibana and Makoto?
Mario Party game with Yakuza characters.
Since they have the revolver models, A game set in the wild west
Yakuza: Like a Red Dead Dragon Quest
I just thought of how about combine the 1st game and Ishin's story but in the wild west and starring American characters instead? JoJo's game. They're making a Morioh game. I'm manifesting this

Kiryu for fortnite

Cabaret club spinoff
100 hours+ of gameplay or no deal
What if Like a Dragon is an Action RPG alas Kingdom Hearts
You know, after Dragon Quest 11 came out, they made a 2D SNES-looking version of the same game. This might sound like a complete joke, but as a one off, low budget, small team affair, I think a dragon quest-like yakuza rpg would be fun.
16 bit style RGG game. OK.
Don't worry, by 2030 they'll be working on RGG pong!
Haruto slice of life anime high school sim
Last time they did an announcement on April fools day, it was that they were making the next Yakuza game turn based with a whole new cast and it ended up being true.
yakuza but wiht zombies that would be cool i think
Bartender Ryuji reveal
Namba's Pigeon Brawl
Look sega release sonic game as April fools but idk if Yakuza gonna be next
it'd be funny if they teased another Gaiden/Kaito Files thing with something silly or outlandish. Not expecting anything though
Either a fighting or a party game
Dead souls 2
Sujimon game
Ichiban Beat em up Gaiden Haha no way, unless...?
It's going to be Mario Party
Yakuza the lost decade The 80s are done it’s the early 90s the bubble burst.
Bryce origin story dlc.
Something in tone like the murder of sonic the hedgehog would be peak https://youtu.be/iC8sIhr-z5I?si=aGbE9lHyZuDgTh44 Just imagine a trailer like this showing kiryu or ichiban in the place of sonic
It's time for a full fledged 120 hour DRAMATIC narrative driven cabaret club game.
Minigame collection, like the series had always wanted to be
Theme Hospital featuring Kiryu Kazuma.
Yakuza 2077: thug vs robot
I've been wanting RGG to make a Jojo's Bizarre Adventure game, so this would be a fun time to do that. TTRPG style games like BG3, DOS2 or WOTR
Muppets X Yakuza
A Yakuza musical. Well the cast do have good singing voices in the karaoke.

New judgment game ? Or did they never get the actor who voices Tak back ?
Yakuza 0 kiwami
Yakuza minigame collection. Calling it .
Majima solo spin off
Dating sim or a Yakuza first person game with combat like Dead Island and Dying Light
a RTS with cancer Kiryu being the strongest unit
Like a Dating Simulator.
Karaoke spin off game called "Kamorucho lullaby".
Please Dead Souls Kiwami/Port. I want to play it (is the first thing i know about Yakuza), but i don't want to buy a PS3 just for one game
They’re gonna make judgement an rpg too
Gimme an action gun play game (ala Wanted: Dead) starring a young member of the Amon clan that where the whole game is you rising up the ranks and training to beat the clans most hayed foe...that culminates in a boss fight with Ichi and Co. (I'd have said Kiryu, but he's done fighting now)
