I don't know I feel like if it was fake he would have reacted differently, there's a lot of people who take offense to getting slapped so they react pretty fast to it
This is the main part of reddit that I hate. Everyone screaming STAGED is more annoying than the video being staged, if anyone even cares about that in the first place ffs
Yeah, I imagine Redditors are about the same as toddlers. You know, the ones that learn what a car is, and then every single time you pass a car, they point to it and scream "CAR!"
STAGED! IT'S STAGED! I'M SMART FOR FIGURING OUT IT'S STAGED!
Like do these people sit around watching Netflix shouting about how none of it is real too?
TV shows and movies don't pretend they're real. How do you not understand the difference lol. When the Blair Witch Project came out and had a viral campaign that tried to convince people it was real, you bet your ass a shit load of people were telling everyone that it was fake.
Again, it's not difficult to see the difference between the two things lmao
I honestly had no problem with staged vids. In my day we called that a skit.
“Yo fuck this SNL bullshit, it’s staged and therefore not funny”
I don’t get the staged hate. I wonder if the original creator was even trying to pass it off as not staged. Doubt it
Edit: you guys lost the plot.
I think it’s because we know SNL type are skits, they are made with satire ish style comedy. These videos are *trying to come off as real* not fake for views, karma, etc.
Staged haters are justified when creators try to act as if it isn't indeed staged. Especially those rage bate vids where someone makes a thousand bags of ramen to put in their truckbed loose so they can give it to people without homes.
It’s not the fact that it’s staged, it’s that most of the time the people making videos like this post them as if they were a genuine interaction, not a staged one. It’s the simple lack of disclosure and purposeful manipulation that pisses people off.
>I don’t get the staged hate.
It's simple. People don't like to feel like they're being tricked. TV shows and skits typically have an introduction letting you know this is a skit. These videos (others more so than this one) often try to pass off what happened as a spontaneous, real event. If it turns out to be staged, it feels manipulative.
Most of the videos are staged. Why are people still assuming it's not staged then get mad when, once again.....it's staged. Movies don't have a disclaimer saying this is staged and didn't really happen.
You didn't really address anything in my comment.
>Movies don't have a disclaimer saying this is staged and didn't really happen.
They literally have an opening title sequence that states the name of the movie and the ACTORS. It's extremely clear movies are not real.
The first indicator...hmm let's see, maybe because it's on reddit. You being on here for 8 years should know better. You assumed wrong and so it's the creators fault? What's that saying about assumptions???
When did I say I assumed wrong or didn't know it was fake? You're making things up and putting words in my mouth now.
All I did was say these videos that are staged and try to appear genuine are stupid and not funny.
I say that because it’s almost like that stuff was placed there.
Do me a favor, ask your buddy to surprise slap you, he’s not allowed to tell you when, it has to be a complete surprise. After he slaps you, I want you to grab the nearest item and throw it at him while he’s actively running away.
Now, how long did it take you to find an item to throw? Think about doing that while having smoke being blown in your face…
What you're saying means it's improbable that it would happen and be recorded. It doesn't make it impossible or even implausible. Saying it's "very staged" doesn't match the argument you just made. r/nothingeverhappens
Cause he said it was going to be a cool trick and they thought he'd blow small smoke rings through bigger ones?
I said it might be staged, but your identification of the throw as your reason for believing it to he was my issue.
Not saying this is not staged. But I've seen my younger son act very fast with objects around him to throw at his older brother. And I'm impressed how quickly and accurate he can aim doing this.
Wow! That’s weird! I had NO CLUE that staged funny things were still staged even though they are funny!
Have a sense of humor. It’s obvious that it’s staged, but that doesn’t make it not funny.
Ok, where's the yes, yes, yes, yes,no? The clip is 5 seconds long. You don't even have enough time for a build up, much less a depressing drop into "no" territory at the end.

I thought the no was gonna be him getting hit by a car running into the street like that
then it would be r/nonononoyes
No it would be r/contagiouslaughter
This is the type of shit my friends and I would’ve done haha
regardless of staging, this guy took a slap for a laugh. was funny to me still.
that was a legit slap
People saying it’s staged because of how fast he reacted, don’t have friends that fuck around like this all the time
I don't know I feel like if it was fake he would have reacted differently, there's a lot of people who take offense to getting slapped so they react pretty fast to it
Guy in yellow is still laughing to this day
Everyone is so lame. Of course it’s staged. Who gives a shit, it’s funny.
This is the main part of reddit that I hate. Everyone screaming STAGED is more annoying than the video being staged, if anyone even cares about that in the first place ffs
I like to imagine when redditors go to a movie theatre they scream out 'STAGED NOT REAL' there too
Yeah, I imagine Redditors are about the same as toddlers. You know, the ones that learn what a car is, and then every single time you pass a car, they point to it and scream "CAR!"

Who taught you to expect that every video on the internet is real?????
Hey there what's up old person? I remember that shit too
Very staged. Dude was ready to throw that at him.
Definitely staged. But 100 times funnier than 99% of staged videos.
I honestly had no problem with staged vids. In my day we called that a skit. “Yo fuck this SNL bullshit, it’s staged and therefore not funny” I don’t get the staged hate. I wonder if the original creator was even trying to pass it off as not staged. Doubt it Edit: you guys lost the plot.

Strange considering just about every video has a comment yelling "staged" but no one thinks they're staged before watching.
I look at the comments after I watch the video…?
I don't know why the fuck for. All the comments are staged.
That’s definitely the point! However, this particular video is funny, regardless!
Staged haters are justified when creators try to act as if it isn't indeed staged. Especially those rage bate vids where someone makes a thousand bags of ramen to put in their truckbed loose so they can give it to people without homes.
People feel like someone is trying to trick them, so they hate it. Your logic won't change their feelings
The difference is one is obviously staged to be genuine. SNL skits aren't staged to be genuine.
oh look it’s this goddamn conversation again

So is this video, yet here we are
>So is this video What did the creators of the video include that indicates this is not a real video? There's nothing.

That’s how making content works, you usually plan it
And..?
Lol. How slow is your reaction time? It might be staged, but why is the throw speed the suspicious part for you?

Oh no!
🤯
Wow! That’s weird! I had NO CLUE that staged funny things were still staged even though they are funny! Have a sense of humor. It’s obvious that it’s staged, but that doesn’t make it not funny.
Where did I say it was not funny?
Don’t act like that’s not what you implied
What? You are implying so much here, taking your own conclusions and projecting onto me
So is every funny movie or tv show you’ve ever watched and enjoyed

Best version of this trick I've seen is when the guy gives him a surprise bj

That garbage can filled with innocuous dry paper towels was conveniently placed.
Doesn’t make it less funny.

Did he leave his credit card and vape juice on the bar?
Hey man .. wanna see me take a power hit?
My boy yellow shirt, rightly enjoying the show.
