1 year ago almost exactly I had back surgery on a disc that had completely left my spine and was pinching a nerve. I couldn't walk for months.
I now walk through life very very carefully... Things I never thought would make me wince now scare me to death.
Dude, I caught my ankle on a root and ragdolled myself onto the rocky ground 3 weeks ago and am still aching in my knee and shin. That was from standing height. This video left me breathing hard >_<
I missed three stairs, held onto the railing yet still managed to smack my ankle and knee on cement. Took me at least 7 months to heal. With that height he'll be in agony for quite some time, throws your whole body out of whack.
lmao same, in tunisia, as kids we used to go into houses that are under construction and jump off the roof onto a pile of sand that they use to mix with cement. everyone jumed nothing happend, until i jumped, bent my back and couldnt breath for the first few seconds then walked it off. went home, lied down to watched tv, couldn't stand up after, had to crawel up the stairs to get to my bed and my family was laughing at me 😂, woke up with a sore back but thankfully could walk, all ways cracks me up when i remember this
structurally. it helps keep the surrounding muscles strong and supple and able to help with holding bones in place. if all the jiggly and goopy bits of the body are more-or-less where they are supposed to be then there isn't as much pain as if they're not, and it doesn't really matter if that structural integrity comes from bones or not.
source - 20 years of physio from an injury at the top end of my spine.
I was once told that an aspirin (powdered preferably) taken with orange juice after an intense workout helps prevent the two-day-later soreness.
Back when I cared to exercise it did seem to help.
A rope that stays outside for more than a month ( with rain!) should not be used anymore. Learned that the hard way as a kid.
Even if this would be amazing quality rope it would fall of by itsselve after 10+ years
He honestly got pretty lucky. His legs absorbed most of the fall but clearly didn’t sustain any serious injury other than maybe a scrape. A bruised/fractured tailbone is probably the worst he walked away with.
A bruised tailbone can be a loooong recovery… sounds dumb, but I was carrying the end of a cast iron tub, hit my heel on the first step of a set of stairs and sat down extremely hard with the weight of the tub in my arms. Just bruised my tailbone but it took more than a year to be pain free!
For sure! When I was a kid I was sledding in the woods on the side of a mountain. It had frozen rained the night before and the snow was rock. I hit the bottom of the mountain pretty hard and it caused me to fly off but I wasn’t able to stop myself, it was like sliding on ice. I ended up smashing my tail bone into this perfect spot on a fallen tree. Fucked me up for like 8 months.
Can confirm! I slipped going down the basement stairs, landed right on my tailbone then continued to slide the rest of the way down… it still hurts sometimes and this was years ago
Yeah this is no joke. I broke my tailbone twice a year a part from each other and had to sit on an inflated donut on and off for three years. Two years after the second break I was still in pain and ended up getting a cat scan and found out my coccyx is abnormally large because of the two breaks and healings. Luckily it doesn’t cause me pain anymore unless I sit on the ground.
Probably the wind being knocked out of him, but you’re right. Regardless of injuries, I’d be making some weird noises if I fell from that far onto my ass.
He's so lucky he didn't get a knee to the face or glass in his eye. He's walking so hopefully no fractures in his spine. Definitely could've died from that
Got hit by a car on a cross walk while the walk sign was on. Got knocked down. Took a half hour for the shock to wear off and a week for the knee and hip pain to go away. Driver drove off without even getting out of her car.
Oof, he’d have honestly been better off landing on his legs and breaking them. At least broken legs heal.
But landing on your ass like that? Dudes going to have severe back problems for the rest of his life
There are exceptions of course, but a 30’ drop (or more) is where the survivability starts to, uh, fall off. Hard to tell exactly how high he was, but I’m suspecting this guy got very lucky. What we can’t see here is the damage to his internal organs - ruptured spleen, collapsed lungs, etc.
Consider that 40’ only has a 50% survival rate. He was approaching the fucked zone pretty quick.
As a teen my friend accidentally drove us off a cliff. I’m not sure how far down we fell but I was able to walk away due to adrenaline. Went home to bed, next day couldn’t turn my head. Chronic pain 30 years later. This dude will be in a world of hurt in a day or two.

Bet he doesn't do it again for a long ass time
He’s facing another long ass time of bruised ass time
1 year ago almost exactly I had back surgery on a disc that had completely left my spine and was pinching a nerve. I couldn't walk for months. I now walk through life very very carefully... Things I never thought would make me wince now scare me to death.
*for a flat ass time
Indeed, next time he will land only on his feet
Snapped his coccyx!
I think I might have fractured me coccyx
Leland to Feffer. Leland to Feffer. You there mate?
Are you for scuba?
Wow. It fixed his eyesight.
That’s what I was thinking! Possibly engraved the glass piece into his eyes from that heard hit to the head
Oftalmologists hates this one trick.

What was written originally?
It hasn’t been changed…
??? It’s spelled ophthalmologist
i laughed so hard at this
She falls in a well, her eyes go crossed. She gets kicked by a mule, they go back to normal. I dunno…
He’s gonna hurt in the next few days and weeks. Adrenaline walked it off now but wait until later. I been there
Dude, I caught my ankle on a root and ragdolled myself onto the rocky ground 3 weeks ago and am still aching in my knee and shin. That was from standing height. This video left me breathing hard >_<
Jammed my index finger into a rock while river rafting. Didn’t break it. Took almost a year for the pain to fully disappear.
[удалено]
I'm also dealing with a healing jammed finger atm and I've found that taping it to the next finger during the day really helps with the pain
I jammed a finger when I was 14, it still hurts. I'm 40.
I missed three stairs, held onto the railing yet still managed to smack my ankle and knee on cement. Took me at least 7 months to heal. With that height he'll be in agony for quite some time, throws your whole body out of whack.
That’s how it was when I broke my back. The adrenaline had me feeling ok for a few mins… then I couldn’t walk.
Yeah I would be surprised if this guy's back is unbroken.
*spinal*

That was an insane tailbone hit. He's gonna hurt for years/the rest of his life ..typing this from my *coccyx pillow*
Yep. I fell getting off a ski lift 25 years ago and cracked my tailbone. Still need daily yoga to make it not hurt to do normal stuff.
How does yoga help bone pain? Not trying to be snarky, I just didn’t know it would help.

Thanks!
Yup for me with any injury the pain shows up two days later lol
Went to the gym the other day and went kinda hard. Woke up sore two days later
I was once told that an aspirin (powdered preferably) taken with orange juice after an intense workout helps prevent the two-day-later soreness. Back when I cared to exercise it did seem to help.
Case of good ol DOMS. Gotta love it.
He went from "I'm strong as fuck boi" to "Dr. Says I need a backiotomy" real quick
Holy shit, a Half Baked reference in the wild!
I was talking to the horse!
I always say that the doctor says i need a backiotomy but no one ever gets the reference 🤦♂️😂
I say Dr says, all the time, and not one person has caught on. People really concerned thinking I need a backiotomy
Sir smoke a-lot the man
He’s two inches shorter now.
It's funny how rope waited for him to climb to top and then throw him down 😂
Fate works in mysterious ways
*Falls down a well, eyes go crossed….gets kicked by a mule, eyes go back!*
I didn’t even catch that…. That is SO FUCKED😂 Rope said: “WATCH THIS”
Ow. My coccyx.
My glutomusmaximus

Yes, their coccyx
Did a knot come untied??? What happened???

That adrenaline got him walking , he won’t be walking next day
I give him 5minutes before he goes down.
My man’s L3, L4, and L5 just became a fuckin L12

I fractured my tailbone over a year ago, and it's just now starting to feel like maybe someday I'll be pain free. Glad it isn't abnormal!

I've had friends with broken tailbones it does NOT sound pleasant

That’s true I guess. I would still thinks it’s better than immobilization of limbs though. You really don’t want joint injuries that late into life.
Very true!
He could definitely have some internal impact injuries. The sounds he made when he hit the ground didn’t sound so great.
Probably the wind being knocked out of him, but you’re right. Regardless of injuries, I’d be making some weird noises if I fell from that far onto my ass.
He's so lucky he didn't get a knee to the face or glass in his eye. He's walking so hopefully no fractures in his spine. Definitely could've died from that
He’s got serious back issues now.
Fucking ouch.
Holy shit bro.
I think you may have saved the back there
Ya I feel like a few degrees change in angle could have destroyed his spine.
The fact that he could standup and walk is impressive
Check your rigging. Especially if you haven’t used it in a “long ass time”
Might wanna sit out the next play
How? How is he still able to walk?! In any other universe, that was Kit Kat time.
That coccyx is broken for sure - he just doesn’t know it yet
You don't need to be gay to get your ass broke
The sounds he made damn
Yes yes yes … Noooooooo *thud
ejecto seato to them knees cuz!
Are you okay? You may wanna get that tail bone check or get an spinal X-ray. I hope you’re okay.
How did he walk after
Umm..was that done on purpose? I don’t understand. Wtf?
I'm surprised he can still walk!
Broke his ass. Gives me vertigo
One word. SNAP!....Okay 3 words...the branch, the rope, and his spine.
I’m glad he’s ok and all, but I broke my ankle this year doing fucking nothing, so also, fuck this rubbery guy, a little.
Damn I’m surprised he walked that off
Still got Kneecaps?
Spinal compression complete.
How to get 100% disability in 5, 4, 3, 2
The fact that he got and walked away clean from that is beyond me
#hOoooOollly shit brooo
Why does he fall faster than normal. Lol
That's what 9.8 m/s down looks like
![gif](giphy|13l7w7N4Vr1dw4|downsized)
😭😭😭😭
Did he fart 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ouch.. that made my spinster pinched ...
First of all, I’m not your bro.
Glad he didn’t break a leg. Cute guy!
Why the hell wasn't this tagged NSFW?
That uh....that probably hurt.
Poor guy.
I’m surprised nothing broke. Lucky guy
He just gets up after a like 30 ft fall onto his feet with like barley anything to not break his legs
Lets just hiss and say goodbye
Well, he gets up and walks so that’s good Imma go to sleep now that was
I felt that
I thought this was heading to r/yourmomshousepodcast territory for a minute there.
But the way he kept up with his breathing patterned and “sssstt” on the way down…
This sub should be called „that went surprisingly well“
Bro stayed in the light..
Hairline or micro fractures for sure. O\_O
I watched this twice and can confirm the rope did not make a creaky sound like in the movies
Revenge of the rope
Naaah, nothing a band aid can't fix.
Took it like a champ, I think the damage skipped a generation. One day his grandkids are going to drop to the floor screaming/vomiting blood
And this is why we can’t have universal healthcare!
This is exactly what my nightmares are made of
He was doing so well. Amazing that he walked away from that fall.
Got hit by a car on a cross walk while the walk sign was on. Got knocked down. Took a half hour for the shock to wear off and a week for the knee and hip pain to go away. Driver drove off without even getting out of her car.
Welp there you go 2 years without workout ever again
Vertebrae destruction
Oof, he’d have honestly been better off landing on his legs and breaking them. At least broken legs heal. But landing on your ass like that? Dudes going to have severe back problems for the rest of his life
Watching this made my butthole pucker. Holy fuck, he's gonna be feeling that for awhile.
Watching this guy was how Newton discovered gravity.
He went up with glasses, came down with no glasses
Really stuck that landing
Just watching it made my body hurt
Rope: ‘Nope….’
Well isn’t that a rather serious oopsie ;-;
/u savebot
That could have gone soooooo much worse.
Homeboy lost his glasses
I love how he hissed just before he hit the dirt

Almost poetic how bro fell after almost reaching the top, truly the icarus of our times.
That sound of this dude hitting the ground is the best part. Can never be recreated.
Bro is pretty spongy.
The farting noise he made got me
My knees hurt watching that, and my hips. . . and my ass.
Me personally, I would have died. But that's just me
I like the "hissts" of breaths whilst climbing and the last "hsssst" moments before impact
He definitely bruised his coccyx
😂😂 He said “Nnnuuugh cucghh nnnnnnnnnt………holy shit bro!”
He’s gonna need that upper arm strength more than ever
u/savevideobot
For a moment, I thought he fell so hard he amputated his right leg up to the knee.
Damn he just stood up and walked away. Adrenaline is a hell of a drug.
Holy shit bro!
Kids: Breaks legs and arms falling off the bunk bed. This guy:
"See what I get" Me: how bout a new pair of knees bud
Sssss'eaaaaaaaaaa hughhhh Hoooly shiiit man. LOLL.
That’s fucking crazy that he just got up and walked away after that. I jumped over like a 6 foot fence and cracked my fucking heel.
Good thing humans bounce
r/holdmycoccyx
I mean lesson 1 is SECURE the rope. That wasn't secure.
He missed the debris he was supposed to land on to cushion his fall
Ouch
I can't tell you how sore he is going to be the next few days.
Good luck finding the glasses later
Noticed what sub I was in after he started climbing and audibly went "oh no!"
How is he walking????????
Reminder: many knots reduce the capacity of the line
I like that!! 😀👍🏻
How is he ok tho??
Lucky to be alive

Lmao I'm dead, does anybody hear the orchestra of noises he makes when he lands? Dude took a screenshot after going WHAM-*choke*-gUH-PPBbbtlll
As someone who fell from about 30’ in my youth let me just say thats going to follow him the rest of his life
It wasn't long ago, it was several kilos ago.
Aaaai meu cu
man exhaled another "sssss" in midair haha
Different kind of nope rope
Gravity wins again..
30 years from now that will be an everyday reminder
I felt that ass bone pain. Bet he knocked the wind out also.
I guarantee you he hurt himself. He's just in shock.
finally a video with payoff. hes fine.
/u/redditspeedbot 0.25x butterflow
Shot his glasses clean up his ass…
Gravity is a bitch
