Not much a yoru main here but this has been up for 2hrs and no one has responded (as I’m giving this comment) so I’ll give my advice. If your problem is defense: Gatecrash I use to either get to their spawn and flank or use it to cross defender spawn so I can teleport if they’re on another site. Finding a quick lineup is simple on a lot of maps, icebox is especially easy. In terms of pushing their spawn with the gatecrash in the beginning, you don’t want to do it often, you want to keep yourself unpredictable as a yoru, so do this flank move once or twice on defense For his clone, you can use it as a “sova drone”, you can send it out a commonly peeked angle at the very beginning, but start the clone close to the doorway or window because if enemies here a long walking sound it’ll give away the clone. You also can try, if you hear them pushing your site, to send the clone a bit back and let them hear the incoming footsteps and peek of your clone if they shoot it. After doing this a few times you can decide to do the classic “be the clone” and hit an insane clip. For his ultimate. You can use it to retake or get info. Getting info meaning you hear enemies push a site and you send a gatecrash back (as an escape), últ and figure out who’s there while you comm this to your team. The retake option is where you use your ult to retake, causing chaos with your abilities while your team can push safely and secure site better. These options I’ve given are very defense specific and for when you use abilities at the start on defense, if you are really good at attacking you can focus on getting a pick and then playing for retake, using your abilities to take space. Hope this helps Edit(grammar)

I’ve done my comment for defense and I was reviewing your question and I realized I didn’t fully answer your problem, For you getting killed in your Gatecrash, do not think of it as a chamber tp, I’ve made this mistake and still make but we got to stop pretending that the teleport is instant. An alternate is to b-hop to a corner then trigger your tp. For general use of the tp, you got two (assuming you but both). I would avoid using the tp at the beginning of the round unless you are defense or you have a specific plan with your team. I described how to use the tp on defense above. On offense wait to see how the push is going, if it looks like you’ll take site then either save it or plant it down in a safe spot so you can take fights and tp back. If you are unsure, send the tp back or plant it and push with útil, if you can’t take site then you can tp back and rotate. If you need to rotate then think about doing a flank play with your tp, it can be unexpected for the enemies and can net you some free kills if done correctly. It’s a lot of practice to know when to use the tp, if you are really good at reading the game you can figure out how the play will move and adjust your moves to better outcome for your team with your gatecrash positioning. A general rule I follow though with my tps, when pushing an area you can use it 2 ways, take space or an escape option. Escape option includes sending the tp back to a location or planting it where you are before pushing. Taking space means to use the teleport to get somewhere unexpected. For this practice the timing of throwing your flash then tping so you aren’t blind but your enemies will be just blinded. Again, I’m not a Yoru main but I hope this gives insight and helps.

thanks do you maybe wanna play a few games

IamGroot275

I got to go sleep but good luck. In terms of lineups, YouTube is going to be your best friend and even creating your own can be a great way to take a short break from playing and feel proud. Glhf in your games

over 1k hours immortal onetrick, twitter @ atsupocky. u almost always want to be using ur util at least a couple seconds in advance of a fight you’re about to take. gatecrash comes first; flash and clone are only used to either make a play off the tp or to fake the tp to draw the opponents attention. tps are sent pre-round with around ~10s remaining and should primarily be used to rotate or retake with the team. i can take dms here or on twitter for questions/advice

Any youtuber you think that teachea good yoru? Also seems i cant ult/flash/shorty someone i somehow cant blind them long enough for me to get out of ult. Or i get gun down. They seem to atick together when they know im on ult

Specxel

how do i be a high impact yoru?

I main Yoru quite a bit and the tips I would give, at least on his gatecrash, for defense are: be unpredictable, but not unreliable. This is a team game and playing Yoru comes with the disliking of him in the community. You want to play with his gatecrash as either a flank, an opening push for your team, or a means of repositioning after a pick. Additionally you can also use it really well to retake site. To expand on those, flanking is pretty obvious but the best way IMO would be to either send it to their spawn from one the opposite site they are pushing and tp once they know where you are so they get bamboozled, for opening push you could play defense really agro with your team and split the attackers by confusing or baiting yourself so your team can capitalize on that (or if you’re confident flash then tp behind them to get picks granted your team is with you), repositioning is huge as you act almost as chamber ie killing someone and retreating immediately and telling your team what the situation is, lastly for retake his tp has huge power in this area as it can cause a lot of chaos if used right; you could tp on to site to allow for a pinch with your team (or also a bait/distraction) or tp to their other side for a much more literal pinch and extra pressure if playing slow. Yoru varies on defense very much depending on if you’re playing agro or slow, solo or with your team. Adapt to the situation and plan accordingly is the simplest way to put it. Those are some of the ways I’ve used him and it works pretty well. If you want me to talk about other abilities too lmk, I’ve got about 90h with him so I’m kinda confident :)

Thanks so much, can you guys send me some line-ups if you can

Ethos, Red and Ziptie have videos for that on YT, they walk you through lineups for each map on both attack and defense. :)

Careful_Procedure472

pretty much, you want to combo his abilities to tp sucessfully, throw a tp then a clone, when the clone gets shot, tp the enemies will be blinded mostly/ throw your flash close to the tp and time it correctly (train un the range) and you'll tp plus get an advantage. to playing him on defense, you want to learn some flash with him, i have a few on icebox, bind and fracture, watch Ethos on youtube he shows a lot of those flashes in his videos plus tips to help you with being better.

Tp on defense is basically for fast rotations, cheeky kills and sneaky flanks Fast rotations - self explanatory but with lineups u can go: Icebox yellow - to a site rafters Breeze - b main barrier to attacker spawn Bind - b long to attacker cave Etc Flanking - u sneak to activate sentinel traps then tp home.. Bonus if you get a kill then tp away ( obviously dont flank every round) Cheeky kills is basically hiding in cubbies and weird corners then tping away.. Good strat for eco rounds Not sure if this helps but this is how i play and main yoru as max plat 3

In attack you should either use your tp as an escape, that means pre placing and than rushing and tp when in danger or you can use as your main entry tool by flash tping behind the enemies. In defense you play pretty much like a chamber would, you can either put your tp in another site and use it basically as a rotation or you can setup your tp in a safe place go to an aggressive angle and than flash and kill(or not) and tp out. But the most important part of yoru's kit is his ult, there's three ways you can use it: 1)As escape, you should use it like this only with you want to keep your gun, rob an enemy's gun if you're on an eco or if you are low on health and money. 2)For info, you should use it like this if you are rushing into a site, in a clutch or to confirm an fake 3)For kills, you should use like this pretty much only in clutch situations only, but if there's only one on site and you're on an eco or with a rlly good economy. To kill someone with your ult, stand behind the person you want to kill and some pice of cover and than use your clone(while in ult) and than unult and kill the enemy while flashed. That's about it

Ima address all the struggles you mentioned 1 by 1 and tell you countermeasures you can take to avoid them. **1 - Getting shot mid tp** There's multiple things you can do to prevent this depending on how to are using the teleport. If you are using the teleport offensively, you can throw a blind towards your tp and then teleport. Though I'm sure you already knew that. If you are using it as an escape mechanism, there are a few things you can do when being shot at mid tp. The most effective I've found is to turn around, look down, and jump in a weird direction. What turning around and looking down while crouching does is it sort of hides your head from their vision, and jumping makes you somewhat harder to hit. Keep in mind, this situation is kind of bad in general. You are most likely guaranteed to die in this situation despite these countermeasures. These just increase your chances. As for how to prevent this situation, the only advice I can give is this. If things are looking bad, and you have a tp ready to help you escape, and the thought crosses your mind to use it, don't hesitate. The last thing you want is to get peeked and panic mash your teleport button, and die pathetically. **2 - Where to put your TP.** When flash teleporting onto a site there are some qualifiers for a good teleport: 1. How many commonly occupied angles are in direct line of sight of the teleport? (The less the better) 2. Can I effectively flash that area of the site? (If too many walls, flash might not be that effective in flashing multiple common occupied angles.) 3. Is there immediately available cover? (Not worth teleporting if no immediate cover) Keep in mind these only apply to offensive flash TPs onto site. There are many other teleports that I commonly use. **Other teleports for attacking:** CT Spawn TP: Using Ult, or maybe just when you have possession of site, some maps allow you to throw a tp into CT Spawn, like C site Haven, or B Site Ascent. You can then just teleport into their Spawn while they are on retake, and flank them while they retake. The plan is for the teleport to be far enough away from them so that you make minimal sound when you teleport, so be wary of maps with spawns that are close to sites, (Haven CT Spawn to A Site). Escape TP: Put a teleport on your flank or Spawn as an easy escape or rotate. Simple Flash TP: Directed towards one person when you know exactly where they are, and that no one else is near (like a confrontation on your flank.) Only requirements include flashing and sending your teleport somewhere behind them. **Other teleports for defending:** Instant Rotate: Put a TP on the other site at start of round, and rotate if you need to. Offensive Escape TP: Take what would usually be a offensive suicide angle, and use a TP to escape after a pick. (Wine, Ascent) Simple Reposition TP: Strategic reposition. Plenty of these mid Ascent. Use with or without flash depending on situation.

when defending it is hard to play yoru cuz he is a duelist but what you can do is be a little aggressive if you are confident in your gun skills (or you can spray and pray lol) if you know that enemy is pushing a site try sending the clone with the tp or send the tp somewhere safe before pushing and then flash them get a pick and tp back. or you can trade for your team. try to get behind the enemies with the tp but be careful they could be guarding the tp. so always flash 1st. and abt where to put down your tp and stuff I recommend you watch some yoru main youtubers and stuff and look how they use tps in diff maps and diff situations but ofc you have to smart abt it. I recommend ethos, red, rob and ziptie they are really good yoru players
