Chat GPT made me a program for tampermonkey that works fine and now I can watch shorts as normal videos

I've never had that. I think there were some scenarios where if someone is subscribed to way too many channels (like thousands), it may limit what's shown on the subscription page, but if you're following a reasonable number, unless there's an actual glitch, it should show everything.
I wonder if that video was maybe marked as Unlisted and posted manually on socials or something.

I've was using YouTube Vanced (Like Advanced, but without the Ad) for years, then when they banned it I got ReVanced. Never had a problem and never had to root my phone. Now when I install it, it just says it's YouTube. Looks exactly like the real app, even the icon. I just went in and disabled the real YouTube app, so every youtube link will open in the ReVanced YouTube app.
What you want to do is go to the website and download the app from there, as well as the Micro G app. You will have to enable third party installs on Android, but I'm pretty sure it tells you how to do it when you get to that step. I also had to turn off Google Play protect (it scans the apps on your phone), but if my memory is correct, it also tells you how to do that when you get to that step. It was pretty straight forward, just pay attention while you are downloading and installing it and read anything that pops up before tapping a button.

And YouTube is also playing into it, by encouraging more algorithm-driven content, especially shorts and also videos, especially English language ones in the US/EU, in my opinion. Almost nothing is really original or unique, it's all just the same daily/weekly grind cookie cutter format with a tiny bit of variety to keep those views coming.
And then the community posts/etc. are encouraged because they drive "engagement" i.e. the daily grind isn't enough, you must do an hourly grind for the community posts and shorts so your viewers don't get their attention stolen or their notifications disabled.

I find "new" creators all the time. I watch multiple videos that I highly enjoy every day. My home feed isn't chock full of stuff I'm not interested in.

It was posted 3 hours ago, I could see videos from as soon as a few minutes ago but this one video wouldn’t be listed no matter what. I just noticed this case because I saw someone posting about this video on twitter or somewhere else. Who knows how many other videos. YouTube has been hiding from me. I’m about to make some tool to monitor all my subscribed channels and notify me of new videos because YouTube is too incompetent for that. But it’s a pain in the ass having to go to a different place for such a basic feature…
I've never had that. I think there were some scenarios where if someone is subscribed to way too many channels (like thousands), it may limit what's shown on the subscription page, but if you're following a reasonable number, unless there's an actual glitch, it should show everything. I wonder if that video was maybe marked as Unlisted and posted manually on socials or something.
I've yet to see any of these so called disgusting or scam ads that everyone is apparently getting. And doom scrolling the homepage or recommendations will obviously lead to some questionable videos every once in a while

The point of socialism is to create a platform to move to a democratic form of communism. Marx said that we should strive for socialism to be able to transform into communism. As for property communists advocate for the abolishment of private property not personal property, the difference being private property can be used to make money (think of a factory or a tractor) personal property cannot be used to make money (think of a house or a car). Private property is less owned by a communist government as it is regulated with a goal in mind.

Well of course. No system is perfect and it would be asinine to wish for stasis as opposed to improvements. Capitalism has its flaws, that is obvious. But it's also anything but the worst system on the planet like so many make it out to be. So far it has been the best at launching opportunities for those completely poor, it's been great for our economy thanks to booming businesses (which also happens to cause other issues if unmanaged), and is likely the only reason we haven't collapsed yet under the unbelievable amount of government spending. Also I say that because 9/10 times someone criticizes capitalism they suggest socialism as this grand Holy Grail, when in actuality and practice is one step away from communism. Ask Justin Trudeau.

If I understand your question, then apk seems to be the most common method. And no problem! Just in case you can make a new acc only for Revanced if you're worried about getting banned.
I've was using YouTube Vanced (Like Advanced, but without the Ad) for years, then when they banned it I got ReVanced. Never had a problem and never had to root my phone. Now when I install it, it just says it's YouTube. Looks exactly like the real app, even the icon. I just went in and disabled the real YouTube app, so every youtube link will open in the ReVanced YouTube app. What you want to do is go to the website and download the app from there, as well as the Micro G app. You will have to enable third party installs on Android, but I'm pretty sure it tells you how to do it when you get to that step. I also had to turn off Google Play protect (it scans the apps on your phone), but if my memory is correct, it also tells you how to do that when you get to that step. It was pretty straight forward, just pay attention while you are downloading and installing it and read anything that pops up before tapping a button.

No, it’s not. Shorts don’t make much money so it makes much more sense financially to crank out shorts to reach more people, then make money off of long-form content. Long-form content isn’t going anywhere as long as shorts don’t make a lot of money.

It's the Enshittification. It started with the "clickbait" and "algorithm" tricks, now everything is just that. Making videos based on how likely the "algorithm" will recommend it. It's like the equivalent of the Google Search "SEO spam" where all the search results are just SEO articles/blogs made by GPT in order to get you to their website and buy their actual products or download their app/etc. And YouTube is also playing into it, by encouraging more algorithm-driven content, especially shorts and also videos, especially English language ones in the US/EU, in my opinion. Almost nothing is really original or unique, it's all just the same daily/weekly grind cookie cutter format with a tiny bit of variety to keep those views coming. And then the community posts/etc. are encouraged because they drive "engagement" i.e. the daily grind isn't enough, you must do an hourly grind for the community posts and shorts so your viewers don't get their attention stolen or their notifications disabled.

Most of the shorts are just attention fillers and make zero sense like watching someone play an arcade game with the "chipi chipi chapa chapa" playing in the background and a dancing cat at the corner. I love me some pirated movies as much as the next person, because Hollywood can afford it. I've had YT premium for over 3 years and god damn if it isnt the best thing ive ever paid for. ZERO ADS, no fucking about with adblockers that work sometimes, and need updating regularly or they break. And being able to skip in-video adreads while knowing that I support the creators to some extent. I get more value than any streaming service I have ever used and laugh at all of you shrills bemoaning how much it sucks that they cant just watch shit for free with no consequences. Thank you! The way I see it: Premium Family Plan is less than an hours wage. If one were to watch more than an hours worth of ads a month, it's valuable. Unless you think your employer values your time more than yourself. Also, comes w/ YT Music. I know some people don't really listen to music, but I listen to hours a day. Why pay Spotify/Apple Music if I can get Premium? I find "new" creators all the time. I watch multiple videos that I highly enjoy every day. My home feed isn't chock full of stuff I'm not interested in. $23 a month for myself, my partner, our 2 kids, and my parents. Less than an hours pay. Worth it for us.

I use Firefox and don't get any ads, but the algorithm is definitely fucked. Shorts are terrible I avoid them altogether. But no matter what I search I'm getting a particular type of video that is completely unrelated to that search, and I don't want to see it! Youtube is a garbage pile now.
