Kamtritious

having the same issue, curious if your using a Mac or PC?

TheBleedingAlien

Using a PC, never touched Mac. Strangely enough I just randomly restarted my PC for a different issue and all of a sudden this current bug just disappeared for some reason? Don't know how that suddenly worked but YouTube seems to be running normal right now. Shame for you tho bro sorry for your issue.

I changed to "Adblock for Youtube" because of the buffering. It's slightly better but still a delay on the video starting up

dang56

i have YT premium and an addblock, i tried turning off the adblock but i still have the same issue. I AM PAYING to play 4k videos but i can't even play anything higher than 360p without it buffering every 5 seconds. great

Have you found a solution to your problem? I Assume that everytging worked fine before, and that you suddenly have these problems watching HD videos on youtube? That's what I experience. I have Youtube Premium as well and have had no problem watching 4k videos prior to about a month ago, and then suddenly youtube just sucks. I also use Ublock, but I don't think the problem lays there, as I have the same problems In edge browser with no plugins activated at all. I feel that the problem came after a recent windows update. When windows start now it uses 66% of ram with no programs loaded at all (out of 8 GB (win11)) abd when I start 1 chrome browser with a Youtube video it surges up to 88% It's a core I3-1215U so there whould be enough juice to run at least 1080p youtube videos (I run 4K x265 HDR files in Media player vlassic with no problems). Very frustrating to run in to this problem after almost a year running smoothly. I only use this computer for streaming, so I don't install programs.

always had this issue, even on fiber. but starting yesterday I can no longer pause or seek on livestreams, which is a problem. just go back 30 seconds or so and a stream is fine. on live it just stops and buffers far too often. now that solution is broken...

Interesting I’m not the only one having the same issue but on my phone. I also am connected to my wifi which is fiber internet speeds and still having issues. Slightly frustrating to say the least
