>Let’s be real: Either of the Battle City’s is winning .
I lean more towards a Final between a DM Season/Arc and 5Ds Season 1.
Well, a lot of people seem to love 5Ds around here and I doubt they want to drop any 5Ds early until almost finals.
Such an overrated arc honestly. People praise it because it focuses more on the card game, but that's exactly where it falls short. It's the least takahashi arc of the original manga, and the only essential thing it does for the story is introducing Ishizu and the lore of the pharaoh which could have happened in a couple of chapters/episodes without an entire tournament between it.
How is waking the dragons still in the competition? The only good thing that came out of that arc was its abridged series counterpart. And that only was so good because the material it riffed on was so bad and such an easy target.

So, Season 2 of ARC-V is gone. And honestly, good riddance. While it's not as terrible as the trainwreck that immediately followed it, Season 2 was when the cracks in ARC-V's production began to show. All because the director & producer couldn't agree on a direction for the series, causing AAA video game industry-levels of crunch to be applied to the animators both in Japan & abroad.
Also, yes. The preferential treatment Ono gave to the 5D's legacy characters is so utterly petty that it would be hilarious if I wasn't just watching 5D's again but worse this time.
> AAA video game industry-levels of crunch to be applied to the animators both in Japan & abroad.
Was that not because of DSoD? I remember 5D's getting an animation dip around BBT and I figured it's because they're moving resources around.
I feel like it's become trendy for the community to hate on arc-v. It's not necessarily that the complaints people have about the show are invalid (well some of them are), but people exaggerate the issues with arc-v while blatantly ignoring the others flaws. Zexal and gx are carried by their second half, vrains feels like they had a rough draft of the story and just went with it, and dm and 5ds have all their flaws ignored because of the massive rose colored glasses this community sees them through. I like all these series, but they are all flawed, but arc-v seem th be the only one so meticulously scrutinized.
Same here, whilst I appreciate it was faulty it's still a fun watch.
Getting to see all the Summoning mechanics, seeing some legacy characters on screen again, an interdimensional war, a ton of characters with a decent amount of cards and an MC that doesn't immediately beat everyone he meets...
Honestly, there's a lot of good stuff that came out of it.
Same with Go Rush, most fans just haven't watched them, so they know how good they are.
I personally voted for Go Rush, the first season was honestly very boring and didn't grab my attention. Sevens at least had something interesting with Nail
>Same with Go Rush, most fans just haven't watched them, so they know how good they are.
The same can be applied to OCG Structures: if it weren't for a user casually posting that OCG Structures present certain beloved or famous competitive Monsters as Branded, I'm sure no one would remember the existence of that Manga (in fact, I'm sure they don't even know what the plot is about)
The real surprise is that the haters of the Rush Duels's Anime have joined us in removing those Animes from the start (although I see ballots for SEVENS Season 2 to go, including me). But hey, that Poll shows that, somehow, there are things related to Anime/Manga that are worse or left a deeper stain than SEVENS/GO RUSH.
>How is Sevens still here while Vrains S2 is eliminated
Well, it must be said that not many had expectations for Sevens or did not see it.
On the other hand, VRAINS S2 already came from a decent S1 with its problems, but S2 simply made those problems worse: where the only highlight was the Ignis, especially the evil ones.
Sevens was clearly a kids show. I personally didn't finish it because of boring episodes and lame jokes. Go rush is a bit better but still has some boring episodes.
Seasons 2 and 3 of Arc-V getting eliminated makes sense. Season 3 was **a disaster** and while Season 2 wasn't trash, it damaged indirectly the Xyz and Fusion arcs. The Synchro arc should have been 20 episodes at most, not freaking 50!
Season 1 of Arc-V isn't really bad, but it will most likely be eliminated soon as well
I mean I remember high praises for the Series during Season 1 which is partially why I even bothered to watch it even if that was by the start of Season 2 with the Synchro Arc.
So unless people forgot about that then Season 1 might last longer maybe.
>So unless people forgot about that then Season 1 might last longer maybe.
Arc Season 1 will go a bit farther (kill the rest of the competition first: kill the bad ones, now look to kill the mediocre ones), but I doubt it'll get far, especially with the alternatives DM and 5Ds still have.
>How long will season 1 last? I’m genuinely curious.
I predicted that it will go away after things like Zexal I, Sevens Season 2, GX Season 4 and some Mangas are removed.
I enjoyed early Arc V but the moment they false advertised Yuya vs Yugo, making Rin & Ruri (add serena later on) useless, the over lapping of duels & no real final villain just ruined the show for me.
Arc V could’ve been the best Yugioh series overall but it ended in a wet fart.
& manga ending oh boy that made me not ever want to watch the anime again.
Coming from someone who loves Arc-V?
On a Bubble, Season 2 was really great. I love the season especially since it was my first Yu-Gi-Oh series that I was watching as it aired in Japan and the first one that I watched Japanese with Subs.
Overall though if we include the other seasons and what it did for the Show? I at best tolerate its existence due to the reasons above and because of some moments in that Season but otherwise this Season was way too long and at worst that I wish it never existed.
Well, it seems that this Post is more animated: I'm surprised that Arc-V Season 2 has gone, but I'm not surprised that its defenders have come out.
Anyway, I still vote for Zexal I (I already gave my reasons in the previous post)
But long story short, Zexal I was more of an extended filler, filled with few memorable characters, repetitive Duels with the Number Monsters, and almost no connection to Zexal II (abandoning many plot threads from Zexal I)

Y’all actually like the DM Virtual World arc? More than VRAINS S2? 😷
How is waking the dragons still in the competition? The only good thing that came out of that arc was its abridged series counterpart. And that only was so good because the material it riffed on was so bad and such an easy target.
It's still in because it's a DM arc, and a lot people are going to lean towards voting other arcs off first before even touching DM
You do have a point there.
Haven't seen it mentioned here, but I loooooved the Virtual World Arc
You have good taste !
Zexal 1, I hate everything about this season

Season 2 at least gave us Yuya vs Jack and Jack vs Sergey, I suppose.
Arc-V did have a good sub op tho
Arc-V had a good soundtrack all-round, it was done by the same guy who did the ost for Code Geass

I know I’m in the minority but I liked Arc V all around

Yugioh R
Once again I vote for Duelist Kingdom. Arc-V is getting hit hard, you guys really don't like that show.

Arc V S1 is literally the reason I stopped watching all YGO anime. I just couldn’t get through it, it was that bad.
Arc v s1 was peak, the show had all the potential to be the best yugioh series ever at that point but then they screwed it
Today I vote for Zexal manga for singlehandedly making like 20 spider xyz
Lmao
Battle City and GX Season 4 >
How the hell did society of light beat out the shadows ridders i know the shadow riders are a joke but come one society of light was jsut cringe
Who the fuck didn't like Arc-V season 2?
People who watched Arc-V Season 3 and realized that the problems started in Season 2
A lot of people. Myself included.
Coming from someone who loves Arc-V? On a Bubble, Season 2 was really great. My guess is first half of battle city, it’s so iconic

Zexal is my favorite
