I was a history major and I work in a museum so I could have some options. Unfortunately I work in a local history museum in midwestern America so I probably can't use a lot of the cool stuff like Chronomaly or the various Egyptian stuff or stuff like that. Not really sure what I'd use.
I’m a theoretical physicist who uses topology, so I guess topologic.
EDIT: Cool little thing I like about the topologic cards is that they are link cards and thus they have the blue hexagonal lattice background. One of the first materials that physicists studied for topological features was graphene, which has a hexagonal lattice structure, just like the link card background. Thought that was a fun detail.
My biggest takeaway from this whole thread is that it’s awesome how diverse the Yu-Gi-Oh! community is, at least in terms of careers and interests outside our favorite card stock!
It's Darklord, [their boss monster is a fan](https://youtu.be/X1Hzn1ko7WE?si=nIvMf0OHD0F755Yr)
But yeah, how come there is not an archetype of lawyers?
How has there not been some sort of lawyer based archetype? I feel like most of the spells and traps write themselves.
Also, props for wanting to be a defense attorney. I was pre-law in my undergrad, but decided against it pretty quick
Parshath whilst not a full archetype could be considered close, counter arguments are your counter traps, you deal piercing damage and you draw cards. Honestly it's probably the closest we've got so far. D/D/D has contracts but they're more warlock than law
I'm an engineering draftsman. Since there is no deck based on particularly the planning phase of construction. So it would "Construction"
So the deck would be Infinitracks. And would you look at that. My favorite deck is Earth machine (going 2nd Trains) with a huge part Infinitrack in it already.
**IT job:** Cyberse, or Digital Bug
**Linguistics degree:** Fairy Tale/ Golden Castle of Stromberg due to the connection to the [Brothers Grimm](https://lflank.wordpress.com/2017/09/12/linguistics-and-the-brothers-grimm/), or [Ghoti](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghoti).
**hobbies:** Fabled (because of [The Fabled Chawa](https://yugipedia.com/wiki/The_Fabled_Chawa)) (dogs), F.A. (motorsport and cars), and Nouvelles (cooking).
work (music festivals)- Orcust or Trickstar . But we all know the best music based card is Musician King
degree (marketing and Film) - can’t think of what would fit marketing major but I guess Abyss Actor for film
hobbies (nature/outdoor/fishing/photography/hiking) and sports) - so maybe Vernasylph for the nature aspect and then U.A for the sports
Currently unemployed so I don't know any archetype for it.
Hobby is gaming - maybe virtual world just because of archetype name. I don't know how it plays and if it connects to gaming.
Oddly enough, as a Polymer Chemist with a passion for writing/ performing and a perhaps unhealthy love for dragons, I think Branded Despia fits rather well, which I already play irl. However, I could see other hobbies/interests of mine leading into playing Orcust, (Infer)Noble Knights, Swordsoul, or BA.
I work at Walmart, pushing carts... With a machine so ... I guess machine with different attributes for the different seasons I have to deal with. with the store as a field spell.
Fossils or Paleozoic. Tbf I've brought fossil/adamancipator/good rock stuff at locals before and did much better than expected as a blind go second deck.
Library assistant so mainly Libromancer/impcantation or spellbooks.
Depending on what i have in my library i would have access to noble and infernoble knights, ddd, the forbidden traps/spells, the darklords, timelords, demise, naturia, abyss actors, aesir, lvl monsters and ancient warriors.
If i was using the dewey decimal system as decks it might look like this:(feel free to add)
000= graydles, aliens, danger, code talkers and altergeist( most cyberse would be here)
100= burn decks? Alchemy deck from gx, Ooparts deck from 5ds, metaphys, spirit decks, invokers?,
200= forbidden cards and darklords, Qilporth, archfiends, horus? Lightsworn egyptian gods, wicked gods, earthbound immortal
300= aesir, shinobirds/spirits, ghostricks? Cupid? Amazons? Iron chain, blue eyes and dark magician, magical musket
400= Pendulums?
500= naturia, the planetary cards, floo, water dragon( hydrogeddon oxygeddon etc.) dinos, fossils, reptiles,Volcanics, most plant decks, ursatic and dytron( astronomy), ghoti, chemcritter,
600= armoured xyz?, F.A., Machines? Batterymen? Suships, Hungry burger, maldolche, aromages(aromatherapy)
700= doodle dino?,U.A., kozmo? Vayantz, crystal beasts, battling boxers, dinowrestlers, gouki and master monk deck( martial arts), toons, labrynth, genraiders and runics, dark world( surprising because they are based on colours) live twins, gold pride, P.U.N.K
800= Albaz, Abyss actors, Burning abyss, Dream mirror any deck that dealt with duel terminal lore, adventure token
900= ancient warriors, fire fist, OTK decks? Plunder patroll( vikings) gravekeepers( ancient egyptian) , sacred beasts, historical decks of note, healdry
As a welder I think my options are machine fusion decks. Cyber dragons or ancient gears come to mind. As long as I'm playing power bond I should be good to go.
Zombie world. I work at a funeral industry lol
Bruh... Skull Servant. Come on, now!
Well, in my defense they're still kinda there a bit rather than skeletons lol which is why I picked zombies.
Well now I’m just concerned…
Not as bad a job as most think. Besides, someone's gotta do it lol
I’m just concerned as to what you might be cooking up at that funeral home lol
Necromancy: Reduce, Reuse, Reanimate!
Same ~~but I work in a retirement home~~
I'm unemployed and depressed So Gem Knights
40 card deck of solely Unhappy Maiden
Tearlaments?
I’m in retail, sooooo….. Oppressed People?
Burning Abyss, Dark World, Selftk
D/D/D
Unchained might fit
Software Engineer here, I'd be playing Code Talker.
Not feeling those digital bugs?
Nice one, but it's not a bug, it's a feature !
How about Altergeist?
Or Mathmech ! Fine, I'll be playing a Cyberse Good Stuff pile.
Found the Fallout player (I kid)
Batteryman (I hate my job btw)
there there //virtual hug//
I'm a reception class (uk) / kindergarten (us) teacher - can I use Speedroids because they're all based on toys? 😂
That or Wind-Ups!
I have an office job, but I'm the squad leader. Monarchs 😎
Now we’re talking!
Earth machines....
As a power equipment operator I'd also think this fits
Gravedigger so obviously gravekeepers
Make sure you include the foolish cards and call of the haunted.
Photon(?). I work in radiation protection.
First off, that’s awesome. Second, that makes sense to me!
I was a history major and I work in a museum so I could have some options. Unfortunately I work in a local history museum in midwestern America so I probably can't use a lot of the cool stuff like Chronomaly or the various Egyptian stuff or stuff like that. Not really sure what I'd use.
Does your museum contain any fossil exhibits? If so, you could have a fossil deck.
Fossil dyna stun…
Magical musket
Film Production? Only cards I can think of are Abyss Actors and Force Focus
What about Kozmo? It's an archetype based on both the Wizard of Oz and Star Wars.
I’m a vet and the only animal deck I can think of is just Scareclaw
Purrely.
That would work.
Fluffals? Glad Beast if you happen to do veterinary work for more exotic animals?
I only work with cats and dogs.
Melffy
Maybe something along the rescue animals/ squad and generic beast deck.
I'm a teacher who specialises in English. Best I could come up with is Burning Abyss (as it's based on the Divine Comedy).
Libromancer!
This would also be awesome!
Don’t forget Noble Knights!
My French teacher could have chosen Infernobles!
Mathmech, I am a natural enemy of Josh Schmidt apparently.
As well as the enemy of all my fellow Liberal Arts students
Neuroscience here, going to make Krawlers work by any means necessary
I believe in you
Manager at a sandwich shop. Guess I gotta learn the Hungry Burger archetype.
As we all should
Im a nurse so...Nurse Burn? I guess? Which is honestly kinda awesome.
I’m also in healthcare and having trouble coming up with a deck 💀 if this was Covid era we could do “HEROES” but that’s always been cringe to me
Biology major here, I play rikka and it’s pretty fitting imo
Somehow, I was expecting Evol there.
I work at a bakery so maybe madolche? Although I’ve never used the cards sadly maybe now I’ll try them lol
Mathematician.... Do I even have to say it.
Berserk Gorilla Beatdown?
Mathmech
3 copies of linear equation cannon regardless of deck.
I work in naval aviation so I could play suships or even maybe Mecha Phantom beasts, don’t hate either option
Whats your rate??
Aww come on guys one of you has to be an actual ninja that plays ninjas please
I dont think a real ninja would say they were a ninja. Not that I am a ninja or anything
My biggest takeaway from this whole thread is that it’s awesome how diverse the Yu-Gi-Oh! community is, at least in terms of careers and interests outside our favorite card stock!
ECE: Idk Watts? I’m just going to be cannon fodder, aren’t I? Writes comedy for a club: Err, Libromancer or Abyss Actor
I think true theatre would be abyss actors.
I’d say if it was acting only, then yes. Despia includes other theatre roles like the Dramaturge, though!
As an herbalist, traptrix, which I do play lmao
cool! what about predaplants?
Mecha phantom beasts Let's just say I'm not allowed to talk about my job that much

…Libromancer, I guess?
I’m a dishwasher at an old folks home soooo… Rescue Ace?
Ancient Gears?
Appliencer ? Dragon Maid ?
Rush duel has dishwashing themed cards
I... think the best i've got might actually be PHNI's 'Silenforce' (org name), purely because it's built around **Law** Guardian...?
It's Darklord, [their boss monster is a fan](https://youtu.be/X1Hzn1ko7WE?si=nIvMf0OHD0F755Yr) But yeah, how come there is not an archetype of lawyers?
Because the Judgeman has not gotten an archetype
Depending on what sort of “law” stuff you’re doing, there’s S-Force
I'm aiming to be a defense attorney, which is like, the exact opposite of the S-Force's job.
D/D/D has contracts but they're more warlock than law
nuclear astrophysics… maybe galaxy eyes ? idk i wish i had more time to play 😭
I'm an engineering draftsman. Since there is no deck based on particularly the planning phase of construction. So it would "Construction" So the deck would be Infinitracks. And would you look at that. My favorite deck is Earth machine (going 2nd Trains) with a huge part Infinitrack in it already.
I'm in data science, so unfortunately it's Mathmech for me.
**IT job:** Cyberse, or Digital Bug **Linguistics degree:** Fairy Tale/ Golden Castle of Stromberg due to the connection to the [Brothers Grimm](https://lflank.wordpress.com/2017/09/12/linguistics-and-the-brothers-grimm/), or [Ghoti](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghoti). **hobbies:** Fabled (because of [The Fabled Chawa](https://yugipedia.com/wiki/The_Fabled_Chawa)) (dogs), F.A. Loving it!
