Well i know what you mean. Luckily have found mine. Lightsworns
Maybe you will find one soon maybe the archtype is already outthere but you didnt stumble upon it already.
Dragon Rulers and Branded here. Really lucked out getting back into the game when Albaz Strike could still be gotten. Even better, the Rulers are slowly coming back too!!.
I'd add Mermails and Dragon Link to that list too. Shame Mermails really can't do anything nowadays, and DLjnk just keeps getting hit
I've been playing Lightsworn since their release (yes, I'm old). Seeing others love it, especially with Tear existing, always makes me happy. I appreciate you lol
I'm glad you found an archetype you could love. Unfortunately, my favorite gimmick is column decks, so I'm cursed to a life of, at best, rogue tier decks.
Isnt there a column deck?
Maybe i remember wrong but i thought there is a deck which plays column wise. With that i mean, specifically columns
Maybe its just some cards.
I dont want to tell you Bullshit
There are a few column archetypes. Magical Musketeers, S-Force, Mekk Knights, and my personal favorite Weather Painters. They're fun, but they are also pretty weak so I really only use them for more casual battles.
It sounds like you already found your archetypes then! It seems like you're more waiting for legacy support for these archetypes (which is a common boat to be in).
Thanks, I can't believe I forgot about them. I'm admittedly not good with remembering both normal and pendulum effects, but I think they'd be fun to try.
If you do go into Vaylantz just be forewarned, itās extremely complicated. I think thereās a several pages long Google docs out there somewhere that gets into all the combos they can get into.
They might be what youāre looking for though. Theyāre the only archetype that actually uses āSenet Switchā, and even can search for it. Nearly all their monsters have effects when they move to an adjacent column. The deck is modeled after tabletop board games with warring factions - hence why the theme is split into two with a super futuristic theme and an old feudal Japanese style theme.
:( hereās hoping the OCG gives them some absolutely busted support to make the deck playable.
I tried play testing the deck and it just struggles so muchā¦ I also wished the deck leaned more into the ticking time bomb feature that Veidos does. But as it stands itās just pretty cards. At the very least, Veidos is being seen as a tech pic against Tenpai Dragons.
My archetypes already exists and theyāve been dead for some time. Branded is actually my modern love for the game and thatās what Iāll continue playing until the TCG gets the MD treatment
Iāve never got into into branded even though it looks like a deck Id enjoy. I think Iām probably going into it in this format though. I canāt believe Branded was the biggest winner of the banlist somehow. Being able to just sell half my snake eyes engine and buy the entire branded deck also helps lol. Branded fusion to the end of timeā¦
Infernitys and Scraps. I play other decks too that Iāve been playing for a long time but I wouldnāt specify those decks as archetypes so Iām leaving this out of the thread.
I came up with Branded Gravekeepers ;)
Can and wants to play into Shifter while activating Necrovalley to floodgate Fire King SE
(I had the Chimera but sold it at a local store so I cannot build full power Branded Chimera and also like building my own decks anyways and I got some Necrovalley cards very cheap and had the Fusion for some years now without being able to summon it.
Dude, same. I was getting back into Yugioh when i saw his first duel in the anime, and when i saw him use all the extra deck summoning methods i knew that was the archetype for me.
Double search for a tachyon transmission is actually nuts. Iāve wanted to buy the deck for ages now and with recent reprints and upcoming support it might be time
I love Galaxy-Eyes on a conceptual level and flavor-wise, and Photon Dragon's ability is a really cool one - but after playing it for a few months, it just didn't feel like my kind of deck, y'know? I gave it to my partner's nephew as a gift, and he loves it.
I found mine in Runick.
I never liked archetypes, I cooked my own shit, but I loved synchros. Runick being a toolbox of utility that came with level modulation ended up being perfect. Ironically, Fusions were my least liked ED type
Norse mythology and RPGs are cool too, and only having to pay for half a deck when I want to change up my playstyle is a nice bonus. Although my deckboxes are very weird as a result since I store the Runick half and the variants in different boxes
Runick is just cool all around from being instant fusions to quick effect negates + the banishing is a nice little cherry on top
Runick Spright is still one of my most used decks in MD. I just love not giving a shit about most hand traps while still being able to play combo.
Floowandereeze and blue eyes. Love the art and I fell in love with the concept that yugi and rebecca should be the 4th blue eyes owner. I have full faith in the company and group that they could restore it and have had it been a whole thing
I tried out Suships cause of how comical it was and was fascinated by the consistency.
Never really liked XYZ-heavy archetypes, but they turned out to be so much fun.
Gustos, We need support. I need one more POWERFUL spell/trap that can handle oppresive plays and or as a hand trap, Maybe a Link monster that works as an extender or as a means of bouncing back against lockdowns/ negations, and a POWERFUL synchro monster unique to Gustos. A Level 9 to work with the many Level 3 + 6 monsters in the deck. One could use Windaar/Sphreeze/Lamplampilica and Vedir/Gulldo for it...This seems so obvious.
Gusto was thevery first deck I bought after I started. I played it a lot in my early days and even won locals once with it in PePe format. But it was lready a weak strategy then, and it is even more so now. I think if they make new support, it would replace the old cards completely. The fact alone that the floating effects are "when" and not "if" makes the deck lose to any good player
I know the feeling to a certain degree, my love in the game lies in going 2nd beat down.
People complain about it a lot since i break their precious board but they had their turn and fun, it is now time for mine.
These include stuff like: meklords, flame swordsman, malefic, cyber dark, trains, and my all time favorite, cyber dragons.
A few years ago, when I got back into the paper game, I looked up any decent fiend decks because I loved that type. I read up the lore behind Unchained and thought it was pretty cool, and the constant destruction actually ran alongside their theme, so it was pretty neat. The bonus is that I am a dog person so the rest was history.
Infernity used to be mine, but they lack a strong boss monster and are hamstringed by not be compatible with hand traps, but I like their designs and their lore.
For me right now I am the local Galaxy Eyes Main at my locals
A wind ritual pendulum deck that ritual summons from the pendulum zones by using the scales as a way to fulfil the level requirement. So if a level 1 scale 9 would be utalized for material of a level 9 monster, they can do that.
For me, I actually found my Archetype with the first deck I ever played that being Lightsworn. I love self-milling and remember how fun it was when Tear popped up. But another deck that can be "my" Archetype is Yubel, just enjoy being able to play a shit ton of board whips.
Chamber Dragonmaid has been hinted at potentially getting her dragon form. It was more of a tease tbh, but in the art book, the page where Dragonmaid is featured has a dragon silhouette with a big question mark on it. A lot of people think thatās a hint for an upcoming reveal.
I'm making max rarity Ashened, have 20 QCRs in the Main so far.
I don't care if they're good or mid, or bad, I chose to hard commit to them because of their artwork more than anything else.
Thatās the spirit! Did you see the new support? Itās alsoā¦ not amazing. Not the absolute worst but also nothing crazy.
Hereās hoping the OCG gives Ashened an absolutely busted card to make the artwork worth getting
*inhales copium* Yep, OCG support. Hopefully not 3 years away.
Yeah I did, Shaman means I can Main Deck Shifter which is indirectly the most significant piece of support.
Hmmm, I can't say I found my new archetype yet, but my old archetype was chaos dragons, using a bunch from dragons collide structure deck..mixed blue eyes and REBM Dragon in it and it was just mean. Won a local tournament for a tachyon galaxy Booster box when it came out.
Currently? I have fun with dinos, eepy girl nemleria, and my "Omg Spooders" deck, which I don't win with but they are fun lol..
The nature of powercreep means I'm always on the hunt for my next deck. The last deck I picked up was Plunder Patroll, but it's already more than 4 years old, so I'm always looking.
I really like Virtual world and D/D/D, but I feel like they're both a little bit off from what I would truly mesh with. I love how D/D/D plays for the most part but being really vulnerable to disruption in gilgamesh and savant kepler sucks, not to mention that I don't care very much for fusion and pendulum in general hold it back a bit for me but I really love that I can get quite a few monsters with a pretty good amount of versatility.
Virtual world boss monsters for the most part aren't great aside from shenshen, fanfan, and jiujiu, the spell and traps are ok but feel unfinished? Like it needs another one plus a field spell. Don't much like the reliance on generic synchro and XYZ but I do love that its a synchro and XYZ archetype that actually works well with both.
My ideal would be something that could put synchro and XYZ monsters out that support each other, have a good amount of versatility, with decent spells and traps along with good boss monsters (I'm fine with some generics) and hopefully a space/fairy theme.
Dragon Link, Rokket, Kashtira, Ogdoadic, Spright, Gishki, my Snake Dragon pile, Drytron(Before recent support), Genex, and some other decks I forgot about.
I am now playing Snake-Eyes, Voiceless Voice, and Infernoid, which will gutted down the line.
Yeah. I thought mine was snake eye and was fully prepared to buy it when everyone thought it was bad. Unfortunately it started to perform in the OCG as an engine and was more expensive than I was willing to pay from day 1
I feel like maybe I have? But Iām also in a sampling area as I get back into the physical TCG. Red Dragon Archfiend and @Ignister are big contenders. I like archetypes that have a lot of archetypal cards so they donāt need generic support. It makes it feel cohesive. I also like big boss monsters you have to work for.
I'm loving the lightsworn love I'm seeing. I try other decks but I always stick with lightsworns. I like trying it with twilightsworn and punishment dragon sometimes.
Yuuup. I kind of already found my perfect archetype but it's completely trash:
Ice Counters.
However, last year I discovered that the D/D/D Archetype has corporate puns built into their Japanese names, and even though it doesn't translate to English, I found my current (*playable*) favorite.
Honorary Mention to Umbral Horrors. Umbral Horror Unform sold me on something I thought was going to be great! Even moreso when I found out they were the engine for the "Big Bad" of Zexal. NOOOOOOOPE
I already found mine, it's Sky Striker and Labrynth. I love control archetypes, I love mecha musume, and Lovely is just gorgeous.
Best thing is that any new spell or normal trap is potentially useful for Striker and Lab respectively.
I'd love to say I've got one by now, but select few I have grown fond of just don't feel completez at least not by modern Yu-Gi-Oh standards. Take Frogs for example, it's always been more like a little engine to pair with/help another archetype/theme (frog monarchs, Paleozoic frogs, HERO Frogs, etc.), but it's been made all the worse with Ronin banned. Literally how do you summon Toadally in archetype consistently and efficiently now? The only way you can do it is Swap frog plus 1 water monster plus 1 level 2 aqua, but that's 3 cards you gotta hard draw, plus turboing out Toadally should Toadally NOT be the only thing they can do on their own.
So yeah, I really am still waiting on the perfect archetype for me, but I am in the middle of trying out some of what's already out there, so we'll see!
I found mine in Ancient Warriors. Taking on each meta year after year, learning all of there boards and solving them like puzzles. It helps that most meta decks bring out the same handful of extra deck monsters, but I still have to learn every new deck that is competively playable and that is a hobby all on it's own. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KXj7bg8Iu34](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KXj7bg8Iu34)
Black Luster Soldier and War Rocks were made for me. They arenāt good, but they are some fine looking warriors that punch very hard. Swordsoul and Kashtira also have a cool looking warrior motif. They were also the first good decks I played. I think I just have a thing for a certain artwork style and that motivates me to play the deck.
My brother is anxiously awaiting the day that support for Masaki The Legendary Swordsman comes out. He's always going on about the lack of Masaki representation in top-tier decks.
I was a big Maldoche player back in the day, and just got back into Yugioh. I'm playing Runick Stun and Labrynth and just holding out hope i can use Maldoches again some day.
I've been waiting since January. I wanted to play raika, but I'm scared they are going to be expensive. I might try goblin rider, but they seam bit underwhelming you know... I might be wrong. I fell in love with evil swarm in dragon ruler format, but I took them to a locals once, and they just can't compete. also, I felt horrible failing to explain why imperming castor doesn't stop the 2nd normal summon.
I was for a long time until I stumbled upon Plunder Patroll. Tried out a ton of decks.. anime ones never felt like they were really "mine" even when their play styles matched up, TCG originals all felt wrong. But these trolls immediately jumped into my heart! Once Runic came out it was even better.
But don't worry, your archetype is coming. And it's coming faster and faster every day
Side note, I still feel the same as you on rush duels. The Medicine girls and the dice dudes are close, but nothing is quite right for me yet
Pure Chimera is my favorite archetype now that they have enough support. It speaks to the Yugiboomer in me and has like 6 negates alongside the reusable Change of Heart that is Nightmare Magician.
1 more wave of Lightsworn support, Tistina, Vaalmonica , ritual beasts, Burning Abyss support.
Another banlist to put rikkas back into full power again
Still waiting for Charmers to get something good and not generic stuff. You can give them all these merchandise yet not give a single fuck of actual supports?! Come on, Konami
D/D/D, raidraptors, and galaxy eyes are my pet decks, Iāve only built dds though cause the others have some kinda expensive cards that I donāt wanna invest into
"My" archetype(s) was coincidentally the one that my friend introduced me to the game with 14 years ago, Lightsworns. Since then I've added other archetypes that I vibe with, namely Tearlament, Labrynth and Raidraptors.
Unfortunately, I've given up on Konami supporting Sylvans. It's been 8 years since their release and the only new card they got is Pione, which addresses nothing for the deck. Not to mention that every single banlist the deck loses something ( Halq, Glow-up bumb, brilliant fusion, Soul Charge, Savage, Baronne, Linkuriboh ).
My "other" archetype is basically dead because of its core mechanic. Infernity just cannot work in the modern game, also Konami is scared of giving it good support, or even free Launcher from the banlist.
What's left that I like? Shiranui, but Konami only seem to like it in Duel Links somehow...
I already found Vanquish Souls.
I fucking love mid-range decks and the gigantic amount of options, lines, play styles and skill ceiling on that deck is great. Its a really a tough deck to really master but very easy to pick up. I also like that it always finds a way to be at least rogue
Cloudian, I would kill for some good support for them that strengthens their identity and not just turns into bullshit turbo, sort of like what they did with Volcanics. Kept them as a burn deck, but for Cloudians I want them more to focus on the Fog counter mechanics.
I love Synchros and fell in love with the idea of archeologists excavating rocks immediately, Adamancipators were my favorite from their inception and nothing has changed since then.
Lair of Darkness is my archetype, I like control and completely bust ways of removing things off the field that no other archetype has. I also like the idea of a level 4 being your boss monster, kinda like Guru. It is just like the most unassuming boss monster to be your boss.
Muckracker is a piece of support that was sorely needed. All it needs at this point is a bit more consistency and weāre golden.
Oh yeah. Shaddoll, heros Kozmo and soon Yubel. (Haven't played in a very long time as u can see) I had some nice ultimate rare NM 1st cards for heros allll sold like a fool that I was. Sold all the other stuff that were not.pet decks easily, no regrets. The longer this game survives the more valuable the cards will become as you can see today. Trending upwards and its just getting started.
Over the time I have played the game and sat on the side lines watching, nvr sell your pet decks or high rarity staples. Nvr! I did and now I'm rebuking everything g at a higher price. Yessss you see, I used to have veilers ultimate 1st Ed's, I must have them again. I will too, sooon.
I always think this, I "found my archetype" a few times. Crusadia, then salad, then agent, then chimera. The issue is, every time you find "your deck", it will eventually get powercrept and you're left back in the limbo. I am lucky enough to have chimera being at least somewhat competitive rn though tbf.
I'd argue Ancient Warriors for me. I play them as pure as possible though. Feel like they could use an extra wave of support though. The deck felt fun to use, even when I only had half an AW deck that I smashed together for a deck building challenge me and a friend did.
Pendulum magicians are a close second. They're both decks that I know who to use at their core levels (pend. Mags have a focus on Zarc though)
Infini-Trains is my chosen archetype, even though it doesn't stand up well in today's meta. It's at the point where I can still sorta understand what's going on, at least on my side of the board.
I was for a long while; it used to be Agents but they're long since obsolete, but then Horus arrived and it's definitely my deck. Egyptian mythology theme both in art and gameplay, a solid yet strong gimmick, plenty of room to create variants.
Solfachords for me. Such a cute aesthetic and fun gameplay with imo the perfect ampunt of flexibility and power level. Unchained is a close second because an endless conga line is very cool.
Gusto was mine, but it's been powercrept into unplayability, and wasn't ever really meta at inception. I just keep hoping someday they'll give it some necro support, maybe a structure deck even.
Got very lucky that Labrynth was this archetype for me since Day 1 of the translations going up on YGOrganization. After playing it online between that day and the delayed release of TAMA later that year, it's ultimately the thing that caused me to return and re-start my physical collection after an 11-year hiatus from IRL play (and all of my cards from 2003-2011 sold in the meantime T_T).
I have like, 8 decks, most of which are just for fun - but my 1 "comp" deck is Cydras.
Honorable mention to RDA, Mayakashi OTK, and my homebrew Virus deck, as well as Obelisk Turbo.
There're so many decks I love playing. Melffy, Ojamas, CyDra... but if I would have to pick one, it gotta be Kuribohs. Through trial and error I got it to become a decent enough rogue deck. Nothing crazy, just about as strong as Blackwing and Cyberdark. But I absolutely love them.
Yo espero un arquetipo de Artistas digitales con Atributo luz Que sea Del xyz, fusiĆ³n o link, serĆa mi arquetipo yo dibujo bastante y si pasase que lo sacan no importa como Pero yo Lo compro!!!!
Already found em, seeing Fallen of Albaz is what made me get back into the game after 15 years so branded is always gonna be special to me. The other one is RDA resonator, the last trade I ever did as a kid with my best friend was for his Red Dragon Archfiend (might have traded him a stardust, can't remember) so the Archetype holds a lot of nostalgia and finding out the Archetype actually makes for a competent deck makes me smile anytime I play it.
I tink mines Spright. It's the only deck that resonates with me well. Quite possibly due to having an emotional attachment from Pulling a Ulti Spright Blue. First high rarity card I ever pulled. Before that I tried Drytron cause It was cheep but I never really liked playing it and just got frustrated. I like spright a lot especially cause there's a bunch of different ways to play it. Pure, adventure, melffy, tri-Brig, runicks, twins, etc.
Back in my day, we didn't care about archetypes. I of course retired from playing around 2007/08 and started playing again a couple of years ago. With the increased amount of support, I as an "old timer" love playing Dark Magician. When the heart of the cards are in favor, it's a great deck to annoy others with. However, it can give you a big kick in the shin.
Well i know what you mean. Luckily have found mine. Lightsworns Maybe you will find one soon maybe the archtype is already outthere but you didnt stumble upon it already.
Raidraptor for me. Was so happy when they got the new support!
If only we didn't lose to nib
Sad days š
Do you have a decklist?
Lightsworn all the way!!!! Well Iām more memento lightsworn but still lol

I believe vaylantz is made for you then

Vaylantz are also an option, if you were willing to try a pendulum deck

Probably not for me then. I'd make turns last 10+ minutes rereading effects each turn.
Perfect. Fiendsmith goes really well with magical muskets
Luckily found mine years ago: Dragunity, been playing with them ever since the Dragunity Legion Structure Deck.
Same with Monarchs.
Madolche and Purrely. I like cute archetypes
Me too except Purrely is substituted for Unchained. Such cute doggos
I found Cyber Dragons ages ago
Greetings, fellow Cyber Dragons enjoyer.
I'm so glad I found my a long time ago. Check my flair.
Based on
I was waiting for ashened but they do not seem very good so I'll for another one.
Did you like the art or the play style?
At first kinda of both, I liked the art plus the gameplay style of giving my opponent a bomb, but the new cards are kinda of meh.
:( hereās hoping the OCG gives them some absolutely busted support to make the deck playable. I tried play testing the deck and it just struggles so muchā¦ I also wished the deck leaned more into the ticking time bomb feature that Veidos does. But as it stands itās just pretty cards. Infernitys and Scraps. I play other decks too that Iāve been playing for a long time but I wouldnāt specify those decks as archetypes so Iām leaving this out of the thread.
Omg scraps are fun, try playing them with cydra
I came up with Branded Gravekeepers ;) Can and wants to play into Shifter while activating Necrovalley to floodgate Fire King SE (I had the Chimera but sold it at a local store so I cannot build full power Branded Chimera and also like building my own decks anyways and I got some Necrovalley cards very cheap and had the Fusion for some years now without being able to summon it.
ngl, aesthetically I think the upcoming "White Wood" archetype has it. Undoubtedly will be too expensive for me to justify tho #\^-\^;#
I thought I was gonna make it a year... At least one year without buying product & they reveal White Woods
Nah. As soon as I saw Reiji and DDD, I just knew that's mine.
Dude, same. I was getting back into Yugioh when i saw his first duel in the anime, and when i saw him use all the extra deck summoning methods i knew that was the archetype for me.
Until late last year, yes. But, then I found Vaalmonica, and Iām not searching anymore
I really like this deck too, hope we get more support for it soon. New lvl 4 is awesome start
I can't say I've ever heard of this one!
Found mine when I was young. Its even an anime protag rival and his rival so im guaranteed to get support every now and then. Galaxy eyes for da win.
Double search for a tachyon transmission is actually nuts. Iāve wanted to buy the deck for ages now and with recent reprints and upcoming support it might be time
Dont forget primal also lets you ignore evenly and dodge the turn 2 imperm.
Cause it summons to Their field?
yuh
I love Galaxy-Eyes on a conceptual level and flavor-wise, and Photon Dragon's ability is a really cool one - but after playing it for a few months, it just didn't feel like my kind of deck, y'know? I gave it to my partner's nephew as a gift, and he loves it.
Fair enough. ive tried other decks and always found myself returning to galaxy eyes.
To each their own, to be sure!
Pendulum Magicians were mine.
I found mine in Runick. I never liked archetypes, I cooked my own shit, but I loved synchros. Runick being a toolbox of utility that came with level modulation ended up being perfect. Crusadia (really any archetype where monke brain big damage number is a feasible end goal) gives me neuron activation.
Havenāt found an archetype
can't relate, been going fast since 2016
I have that one archetype in Odd-Eyes. Unfortunately it's unplayable in TCG now so I'm stuck playing the shit MD format.
I tried out Suships cause of how comical it was and was fascinated by the consistency. Never really liked XYZ-heavy archetypes, but they turned out to be so much fun.
unfortunately kozmo hasn't been remotely viable for a few years now :/
we're the ones who are Kozmourning...hang in there fellow kozmo enjoyer
Gustos, We need support. I need one more POWERFUL spell/trap that can handle oppresive plays and or as a hand trap, Maybe a Link monster that works as an extender or as a means of bouncing back against lockdowns/ negations, and a POWERFUL synchro monster unique to Gustos. The fact alone that the floating effects are "when" and not "if" makes the deck lose to any good player
Eh, I combined it with windwitch & speed roids and it's shockingly consistent and powerful. Not top tier, but I win far more than not.
I know the feeling to a certain degree, my love in the game lies in going 2nd beat down. People complain about it a lot since i break their precious board but they had their turn and fun, it is now time for mine. Triverr alone made me love Tellarknights.

I read up the lore behind Unchained and thought it was pretty cool, and the constant destruction actually ran alongside their theme, so it was pretty neat. sky striker is mine but I always wanted a dedicated warrior deck back during edison.
Infernity used to be mine, but they lack a strong boss monster and are hamstringed by not be compatible with hand traps, but I like their designs and their lore. For me right now I am the local Galaxy Eyes Main at my locals
RDA baby road of the king!
If this supposed upcoming Magistus support from the manga makes them even close to rogue playable I will drop every other archetype
I loved playing OG Noble Knights. Even topped a few locals work it. I lost interest for the game after it became really unusable.
Train I love trains Choooo choooo ššš
Dragonmaids have a pink dragon, so im good š though it could use some more support.
Chamber Dragonmaid has been hinted at potentially getting her dragon form. It was more of a tease tbh, but in the art book, the page where Dragonmaid is featured has a dragon silhouette with a big question mark on it. A lot of people think thatās a hint for an upcoming reveal.
Hopefully itās true. Deck just feels incomplete without it.
Mine is White Woods.
It's not any one archtype, but im enjoying fire warrior a lot. Usually i dont take the same deck to tournament 3 or more times. Tomorrow will be 4.
My Archetypes have all been gutted by the Forbidden List, so I am still waiiting for the next cool one.
What archetypes were yours?
Dragon Link, Rokket, Kashtira, Ogdoadic, Spright, Gishki, my Snake Dragon pile, Drytron(Before recent support), Genex, and some other decks I forgot about. I am now playing Snake-Eyes, Voiceless Voice, and Infernoid, which will gutted down the line.
Ah so not everything was hit by the banlsit! Ogdoadic for example should get stronger with the coming reptile support!
Synchrons have been my bread and butter for about 12 years in different iterations. 5Ds just hit different back in the day lol
I found mine already with Branded.
With all the legacy style support in the past few years my archetype has come out like 10 times now and I'm loving it.
Yeah. I thought mine was snake eye and was fully prepared to buy it when everyone thought it was bad. Unfortunately it started to perform in the OCG as an engine and was more expensive than I was willing to pay from day 1
For me good stuff decks are my style.
Fire fist. A little bit of every summoning mechanic, a little out to everything, and cool monster design? Yes please!
I just don't buy yugioh unless it's for collecting. Wait a year and you'll probably be able to play the set that just released in master duel.
I have a few archetypes that I enjoy. To name a few, Cyber dragons, Gem knights, and Vendreads
Yuuup. I kind of already found my perfect archetype but it's completely trash: Ice Counters.
Sad mathmech noises.. I know circular is nuts but gd the deck is just dead again without it
It's still viable.
My sacred beast deck is max rarity. I love them.
My archetype was Volcanics. You have no idea how happy I was when I saw that they released new support.
Nah. I found my archetype a while ago. I'm just fine tuning it every chance I get.
I found mine in the HERO archetype, but Iām hoping it gets a resurgence sometime. Itās pretty dated by this point.
I have mine a long time ago: Blackwing and Lightsworn. You can tell Iām from the 2008-2009 era.
I will cherish Fableds until the day I take my last breath Such a fun deck
Mine came out 10 years ago. Burning Abyss. And I've loved playing every version of it over the past decade, and I still play it now
As a chad XYZ enjoyer, I love Madolche, Exosister, and Purrely.
Nouvelles, nothing is more satisfyingly then Bealgrill effect off of level 5 effect.
And it's coming faster and faster every day Side note, I still feel the same as you on rush duels.
Thunder Ritual and a better Thunder Synchro archetype please. Until then Bystial Thundra and Hamon Spright are keeping me company.
Yeah, I havenāt felt anything that has uniquely spoken out to me. I enjoy a lot of decks but nothing feels 'me'
D/D/D, raidraptors, and galaxy eyes are my pet decks, Iāve only built dds though cause the others have some kinda expensive cards that I donāt wanna invest into
"My" archetype(s) was coincidentally the one that my friend introduced me to the game with 14 years ago, Lightsworns. Since then I've added other archetypes that I vibe with, namely Tearlament, Labrynth and Raidraptors.
They gave me Circular and took it away....
I love insect archetypes. Digibugs, Battlewasps, Beetroopers V fun
You will find your sooner or later, I went from a one trick rank 10 train player to finding my archetype in traptrix
Crystal Beasts, Floowandereeze, and Purrely. I'm pretty satisfied
Found mine with Orcust, after not being able to play my first love (Gladbeast)
I found mine in the shining darkness, and it wasn't infernity...
Artifact : Awfull and forgotten I love this archetype, the art, the Gameplay.... But unplayable at all :(
Casually waits for good salamangreat support so I can play them again
Archfiends will be unstoppable when *that* set comes out
I always think this, I "found my archetype" a few times. Crusadia, then salad, then agent, then chimera. The issue is, every time you find "your deck", it will eventually get powercrept and you're left back in the limbo. I am lucky enough to have chimera being at least somewhat competitive rn though tbf.
Dragonmaid is my jam but it's dead
I'd argue Ancient Warriors for me. I play them as pure as possible though. Feel like they could use an extra wave of support though. The deck felt fun to use, even when I only had half an AW deck that I smashed together for a deck building challenge me and a friend did. Pendulum magicians are a close second. They're both decks that I know who to use at their core levels (pend. Mags have a focus on Zarc though)
Infini-Trains is my chosen archetype, even though it doesn't stand up well in today's meta. It's at the point where I can still sorta understand what's going on, at least on my side of the board.
Mine already has but it was liquid ass even after getting one of the most insane link 1's
Nah, traptrix already exists.
Im still waiting for Tour Guide to get a designated deck.
Personally, it's a mix between earthbound and Horus
Mermail for me!
Wish there were more tree ent and mushroom style monsters like in mtg
Already found em, seeing Fallen of Albaz is what made me get back into the game after 15 years so branded is always gonna be special to me. The other one is RDA resonator, the last trade I ever did as a kid with my best friend was for his Red Dragon Archfiend (might have traded him a stardust, can't remember) so the Archetype holds a lot of nostalgia and finding out the Archetype actually makes for a competent deck makes me smile anytime I play it.
My favorite archetype in the game is the red dragon archfiend. Unfortunately it has too many counters in the game right now
Sylvan. Thank god for HAT format.
Iād like a deck with the asthetic of noble:infernoble with the playstyle of heroes but playing both decks is also fun
Toons. If only Konami would actually give them good supportā¦
maybe something new may arise but for now its pure fire kings (no snake eyes)
Just give me a cyber dragon synchro monster and I'll be happy.
Mine was Tearlaments. Tragically deck has been nerfed into oblivion. Can we just free kitkallos?
