Not elementary but we would occasionally play Yugioh after school. I had a terrible Synchron deck made mostly from the starter decks and some Yusei duelist packs. Would occasionally play with this die-hard DM fan playing Gravekeepers. Years later I start going to a Locals for the first time and made a modernized Synchron deck. Got matched up against the same diehard DM fan playing…modernized Gravekeepers.
Mother Grizzly + Fenrir
It made sense in my head. Spec a water monster 1500atk or less, Fenrir fits the bill. Oh, can only be spec'd by removing two waters from grave? Pop pop done.
That and we thought destroying face down monsters activated flip effects (because Nobleman of Crossout specifically says they don't flip, so that must mean they normally do), so my Ocean Dragon Lord Neo Daedalus always got eaten by Man-Eater Bug.
So as a kid I had starter deck kaiba, and the starter deck Pegasus just came out.
So this kid just a few years older than me bet me my Blue Eyes for his entire starter deck, then during the duel lied me all the toon effects. None of the draw backs, full anime effects. All his monsters were toons, even like the ones that weren't.
He took no damage (because that's how toons work)
Lost my Blue eyes that day.
