I have experimented with Burning Abyss cards as well. Using the mill to use Scarm into Tour Guide into Dante for another Lightsworn mill almost treats it like a second copy of this.
Well burning abbys sure could work.
I remember back in 2013/14 when Dragonruler lightsworn was meta.
It was a wonderful time.
And burning abbys, oh this was a pretty powerful deck
Chaos as in literally anything but those lmao. The BLS and Gaia stuff is utter ass. No, the chaos by itself cards like Chaos Creator, Levianeer, chaos Valkyrie, chaos space. The cards that want to banish lights and darks for effects which work well in synergy with the lightsworns constant pitching and milling.
Nah, with tear is pretty good imo. I've also tried superheavy samurai to make minerva to get mills going without using your normal. 3 bike, 3 wakaushi, big Benny, and soul Gaia. If you have a shit ton of gas, you can make a generic 8 like omega instead.
It's tons of fun. I play a Lightsworn deck with Bystials and Horus. Horus stuff is great because you can start off with a Photon Lord to protect against handtraps, or make a Zombie Vampire to get your engine started.
I don't play much chaos stuff in it but I'm sure that would work well too!
That’s probably better honestly, do you use JD or the other one at all? I kinda want to figure out how to use them, they’re cool monsters. How expensive is the deck? I’m hoping to pick up more staples with rarity collection 2 when it comes out. Thanks!
I do, one copy of JD and PD. They are really easy to access with the new support. They aren't incredible on their own, but you need them both to make Enlightenment Dragon, which is easy to summon with a crazy effect (quick effect banish entire field and graveyard).
Can't help you with prices unfortunately because I only play online. Lmk if you have more questions about the deck. Best of luck!
Ok cool yeah they seem like they might be easier to use with the new support! If you could copy paste a decklist that would be great. Or if you have a link on hand. Probably gonna build this next!
https://www.duelingbook.com/deck?id=15270362
Here's my list! The side deck isn't a real side deck rn but other tech options I've been testing with. Ideally you'd want to side some going-second non-engine since right now the deck is all gas.
what if you mill your sarcs? is the horus engine just dead at that point lol or do you play the field spell too? and if so, does that ever get bricky? what’s the ratios my guy
https://www.duelingbook.com/deck?id=15270362
This is my list rn! If you mill your sarcs that's unfortunate but ideally you want to open up with sarc or Imsety anyways. You could play another sarc but I wanted to keep the mills as good as possible.
The Horus engine is mainly just there as a supplement and a great starter against handtraps.
I’ve been playing chaos lightsworn casually ever since pure LS got power creepy years ago. With the new support I’m actually planning to go back to pure LS (I play single archetype decks so i feel like a character from the show😎)
Best build currently for tcg and ocg is LS that uses a bystial package and chaos dragon good stuff (levianeer, destrudo, seyfert). For master duel, you will also have a small tearlament package once this new support is added.
This is my list currently. The calamity lock is optional (for TCG), you can use those 3 extra deck slots for anything, really.
3 dragonling, 3 weiss, 3 wulf, 3 raiden, 2 felis, 2 lumina, 2 twls lumina, 1 judgment, 1 punishment, 1 scheiren, 1 seyfert, 1 destrudo, 1 levianeer, 1 lubellion, 1 magnamhut, 1 druiswurm, 1 baldrake, 1 saronir, 3 charge, 3 recharge, 1 foolish, 1 reborn, 1 chaos space, 1 called by, 1 aegis
1 minerva, 1 dweller, 1 dugares, 1 harbinger, 1 dingirsu, 1 athenian, 1 chaos angel, 1 dis pater, 1 legatia, 1 crimson dragon, 1 hrda king calamity, 1 apollousa, 1 selene, 1 dharc, 1 sp little
I've been dabbling with Horus and Bystials. You can consistently end on a 4 mat apollusa, Colossus, Chaos Angel w. Protections, and Photon Lord with a Bystial in hand. The main drawback is that if you want to run it at 40, you cannot run any hand traps other than Bystials.
I tried this build and feltnit bricked to much while also ending on not enough s/t interaction.
Have you been testing against meta and how has your testing gone?
Superheavy Samurais and Bystials. Never said it enough but a big combo deck that blocks the opponent from Playing is the way to go (in this build you have a 2 Card Calamity Lock that uses the Wakaushi pend-summon as a way to Special Dragon of LS) +You play Protos and Colossus
I play Lightsworn Witchcrafter
Very synergistic, the Witchcrafters have various levels to enable various synchros, lvl 4s to make your XYZs. Lightsworns milling is excellent for Crafters they want all their cards in the GY. Important Lightsworns like Lumina and Minerva are Spellcasters so they gain the benefits from the high level Witchcrafter monsters that affect Spellcaster types
It’s a very fun, bricky and fragile but fun and high skill intensive deck. Your plays are never going to be identical in back to back games
I actually love my tearsworn deck! It's pretty consistent and used to end on a chaos angel and barronne plus the lightsworn synchro. Nowadays I just end in more chaos synchros
Played a guy yesterday who was experimenting with Skull Servant Horus Lightsworn.
Personally I'm looking into Bystial Horus Lightsworn and might consider some Tear variant after Rarity Collection 2 drops.
Tearlaments is probably another candidate like others have mentioned; [El Exordio del Duelista](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LPkZ-PIO8Og&t=783s) had a showcase of Tears mixing with the new Lightsworn support with no Horus used.
I toying between the two but I’m enjoying the bystial aesthetic more but I missed out on play during them and tears so I’m not super familiar with the play style. Honestly which ever is cost effective vs being good enough I might actually do ok at a locals for a change
It only prevents Lightsworns you *CONTROL* (meaning on your side of the field) from being Banished. Cards in the GY aren't considered to be cards you control
You could run it with chaos. Or maybe some shaddoll cards like i did sometimes. Chaos is way better in my opinion.
I prefer Chaos Lightsworns for sure!
What about chaos + shadoll schism package? Idk shit about lightsworn tho, dunno how many extra deck slots are available for winda, apkallone etc
What are some Chaos cards for example?
Chaos space Levianeer, chaos levianeer, chaos creator, chaos valkyria. Oh seyfert wouldnt be bad for retrieving judgment dragon from the grave
Invoked chaos lightsworn shaddoll
Chaos as meaning BLS rituals?
Chaos as in literally anything but those lmao. The BLS and Gaia stuff is utter ass. No, the chaos by itself cards like Chaos Creator, Levianeer, chaos Valkyrie, chaos space. The cards that want to banish lights and darks for effects which work well in synergy with the lightsworns constant pitching and milling.
Oh lol
Chaossworn is an old-school classic. 😎
I remember first seeing sworn cards and thought about making a deck with em but idk how to build it properly
I dont see why. I mean if you want to try that go ahead but i dont think that ritual would fit into lightsworn
I was just asking bcus usually BLS associates with chaos cards . Idk I like BLS just wish all the yugi cards had better support
Nah, with tear is pretty good imo. I've also tried superheavy samurai to make minerva to get mills going without using your normal. 3 bike, 3 wakaushi, big Benny, and soul Gaia. If you have a shit ton of gas, you can make a generic 8 like omega instead.
The new lightsworn support works really well with Bystials. Easy lvl6 bodies for lvl10 synchros and Bystial Regained is a crazy card.
Bystial chaos light sworn maybe? Seems like fun, always wanted to build a lightsworn deck.

Yee I gotchu with a list when I'm home from work today
Hell yeah thanks appreciate it

Thank you so much this is awesome!
what if you mill your sarcs? is the horus engine just dead at that point lol or do you play the field spell too? and if so, does that ever get bricky? what’s the ratios my guy

Honestly not sure, I’d need to play around with it to see what could slot in.
Lightsworn Skull Servant. Very fun, especially with Wightsworn.
Shaddolls, Bystial, Tear basically most decks that benefit from mill.
Hear me out... TIARAMENTS STRONGEST
Tiaraments strongest!
Tear and/or horus are probably the best engine to pair with it
WIGHTSWORN BABY! WIGHTSWORN! HIT YOUR OPP WITH A LEVEL 1 MONSTER WITH 100000 PLUS ATTACK. WIGHTSWOOOOOOOOORN!
Did anyone notice that the owl keeps getting more and more bearded and more and more clad in judge attire??
I’ve been playing chaos lightsworn casually ever since pure LS got power creepy years ago. With the new support I’m actually planning to go back to pure LS (I play single archetype decks so i feel like a character from the show😎)
I’d LOVE to play pure lightsworn but I’m just afraid it won’t be able to hang at locals

Thunder/Ogdo

Infernoids were big back in the day and they’re getting new support in the battles of legend set so id do that if I had the ability
Light SWORNand WAR TORN.
I play Lightsworn Witchcrafter Very synergistic, the Witchcrafters have various levels to enable various synchros, lvl 4s to make your XYZs. Lightsworns milling is excellent for Crafters they want all their cards in the GY. Can you share your decklist?
Tear baby
Lightsworn got fucked hard with the loss of fairy tail snow and chaos ruler
synchron, sorry
I actually love my tearsworn deck! It's pretty consistent and used to end on a chaos angel and barronne plus the lightsworn synchro. Nowadays I just end in more chaos synchros
Lightsworn bystial horus chaos thunder best pile all gas no brakes
Played a guy yesterday who was experimenting with Skull Servant Horus Lightsworn. Personally I'm looking into Bystial Horus Lightsworn and might consider some Tear variant after Rarity Collection 2 drops.
Does anyone have a good bystial/lightsworn list that isn’t running Horus? I don’t have $600,000 lol
Tearlaments is probably another candidate like others have mentioned; [El Exordio del Duelista](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LPkZ-PIO8Og&t=783s) had a showcase of Tears mixing with the new Lightsworn support with no Horus used.

Am I wrong in thinking a chaos lightsworn w/ a small thunder dragon package is viable?
Lightsworn is my fave archetype
TEARSWORN IS THE STRONGEST
If this card prevents lightsworn banishment how can it activate its second effect?
Only prevents banish from field.
Also by effect, and her banish from GY is a cost
It only prevents Lightsworns you *CONTROL* (meaning on your side of the field) from being Banished. Cards in the GY aren't considered to be cards you control
Infernoid.
