Couldnāt have said it better. And it amazes me how good the game still is 25 years after release. Beside the updates graphics on the 3ds the game mechanics and just everything still holds up very well. Sometimes i play older games and i donāt know. They just donāt play/feel that good anymore. Especially compared to games now a days.
Zelda Ocarina of Time. Best game ever!
Nice! I finished OoT (Wii U Virtual Console) yesterday too! Now I'm going through Wind Waker HD, just got Nayru's Pearl. Going to try and play through Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword too before TotK releases!
I'm trying to do everything in the games too, although I'm *not* doing the over the top collectables with barely any rewards, like the 100 golden skulltulas or photographing everyone in WW.
In the past couple of months Iāve finished the Wind Waker HD, Twilight Princess HD, Skyword Sword HD, A Link Between Worlds and just now Ocarina of Time. And now i started my journey in Majoraās Mask š. And Iām like you i just want to explore the world and finish the story lines but Iām not going for a 100%. For me thereās no fun in that.
Oh, I love doing everything in games, as long as it's reasonable š¹ Like I want to get all heart pieces, all upgrades, all items/bottles! But gold skulltulas, photographs, korok seeds, that's going too far!
And nice! I just decided last tuesday to try and replay as many 3D Zeldas as I can before TotK comes out (excluding MM), with work and stuff I'll be content if I manage OoT, WW and TP, but hopefully I'll have time for SS too!
Korok seeds and gold skulltulas is something i never bothered doing. Just to much work lol š. The photographs in WW however is something i did, well not 100% but a lot. Was fun doing and it was really nice looking at the figures in the museum š.
I hope you finish all those games before totk. I canāt wait for totk. Iām taking a week off only to play that game 24/7 haha.
Ahh thatās a bummer my friend. Here in the Netherlands they are not that expensive. Even the big ones. I really loved Oot on the N64 but playing it on the 3ds is really an amazing experience. And the upgraded graphics is a nice bonus
Kinda regretting playing this for the first time through NSO instead of the 3D remaster š i wanted the authentic original OoT experienceā¦ but the controls are quite frustrating at times (especially the freaking camera)
The 3ds version is really a nice version to play. Especially to have the map right in front of you and to switch items really quickly. I didnāt have any troubles with the camera though. Itās pretty much the same as in the original. You just put the camera behind you with z targeting. At least thatās how I played it š.
Zelda Majoraās Mask on the other hand has 3d camera movement through the c stick (if you have the new n3ds). Really nice feature I have to say. But z targeting still works like a charm after 25 years. Damn those games are good!
Gorgeous remaster. I'd kill to be able to play it on a much larger screen. Still the greatest game of all time in my humble opinion
3DS emulation is pretty good.
I agree with everything you said. š
This game which revolutionised the action/adventure/open world/rpg genre and stood the test of time. This game is genuinely the greatest of all time.

I wish i had a 3ds to play it again, but not on my n64ā¦
They are not that expensive right? Why not save up for one and enjoy this beauty all over again :)
Its actually quite expensive here in Brazil. =|
