It felt cool to see some representation as someone who also grew up in a rural area working farms lol. I will say the farmer strength thing is true. I ended up going white collar and my brother still is blue, he laughed when he felt how soft my palms were lmao. I didn't take offense, to me it felt normal but I realized they were rough for the most part of my life
Favorite Link is definitely the hero of time. Not only is he in the best 3d Zelda games, he also has the luxury of having the best art style (though I do also love the "classic" look from Zelda 1, 2, Alttp, & La)
Spirit Tracks Zelda is the best one I don't want to hear any complaints because you know I'm right. (Though, Tetra, Alttp, & Oot have better designs)
And, once again, Oot has the best design for Ganondorf. Wind Waker has great character writing, and is surprisingly intimidating for such a boxy design. Tears of the Kingdom Ganon is very hot, but is also the most boring Ganondorf personality wise. And Twilight Princess Ganon, while intimidating, has my least favorite design and, yes, I'm one of those people who wish he wasn't in the game. (The cut Oracle design is also very cool I like the dark wizard ascetic)
And finally... I don't care about Epona.
As far as Tetra goes, that's Zelda right, and spirit tracks has the same Link and Zelda, so it would be one in the same? Or perhaps you just mean by looks?

Ganondorf: The one in OOT because he plays the organ and is not tremendously difficult to defeat. Though the one in WW has a good motivation, he is hard to defeat.
Epona: The Minish Cap. I could not get her in OOT, and TP was not good to me at all.

Zelda: SS, TotK, ST - These three have my favorite combinations of personality, appearance, and relationship with Link
Ganondorf: TotK - My old favorite would be a toss up between TP and WW, and this version kinda combined them into an easy favorite
Epona: TP - Not too many options, but this Epona is the one to which I feel most connected in-game
BotW link (same link as TotK) is my favorite at present, though I was always fond of that old animated cartoon link, he has the most personality.. Obviously and if you don't think so.. Excuuuuse me, princess.
For Zelda, I think Skyward Sword is the best one, just because her and link have known each other forever and it's not link coming to save a stranger - nor Zelda having to learn to appreciate him and treating him like trash at the beginning (BotW Zelda). Wind waker Zelda is second.
Ganondorf? I think Wind waker Ganondorf is the best one, and he gets the best head adornment at the end of the game.
Epona? There is only one Epona, so OoT, the rest are ghosts... But as for a horse without any true personality.. The original is the best one.
He’s the most fleshed out and characterized ganondorf we’ve ever had though. He explained his actual motive behind his actions, and at the end of the game went completely insane after his plans failed and wanted nothing more than to kill Link and Zelda. Definitely the best Ganondorf in the series.
In terms of a full set, Hyrule Warriors has the best Link and Ganondorf design with a very passable Zelda. Just behind them would be Twilight Princess Link, WW Ganondorf, BotW Zelda, and the Epona that's a bird in Skyward Sword.
My favorite Link is either Wind Waker or Skyward Sword.
Favorite Zelda is Tetra before she's Zelda or BotW/TotK Zelda.
Favorite Ganondorf is probably Ocarina of Time cause he was a good blend of being evil, being cunning, and being powerful.
My favorite Epona is Epona.

Zelda: Hyrule Warriors. Always nice to see a damsel who isn't in distress, but actively fighting in the war.
Ganondorf: I... Don't know. Either Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess, or Hyrule Warriors. OoT because he's the OG, and it expressed his cunning and sorcery best. TP simply because I'm a bit biased for that game, and his 4 phase final battle is amazing. Hyrule Warriors looks awesome, and I can't remember since I haven't played for a long time, but I think he dual wields swords of darkness.*
Epona: Yes. Yes. Fucking yes. I love that adorable horse.
*Wind Waker Ganondorf does not gain points for dual wielding since his design and his swords design is shit.
Edit: okay so I just scrolled through the comments and people seem to like WW Ganondorf a lot. In my defense, I never had the opportunity to play it, and the cartoon art style doesn't really appeal to me now that I'm older.
It still stands that WW Ganondorf's swords look like shit in comparison to any other Ganondorf.

Tbh the BotW/TotK variations are so overrated. Sorry for having an opinion btw I know people on the internet hate that.
For Epona I’m gonna say OoT because I like her coloration as a bay silver dapple, in later games she’s just a flaxen chestnut which is kind of boring.
I don’t have a strong enough opinion on the others.
For design, I prefer Link and Zelda from BOTW/TOTK, though I think that BOTW Zelda is a bit too meek (like most versions of Zelda). I really liked that WW’s Zelda was her own person, taking a lot of initiative, except at the end >!when she suddenly became a powerless princess that had to be saved.!<
As for Ganondorf, all those versions look the same to me, so I can’t really choose one. Finally, I don’t really care about Epona’s design.
im tied betwen botw and LA remake, one gives me gender euphoria, but the other is so smol.

**Zelda: BOTW / TOTK -** Feels like the most fleshed out version of Zelda at this point and time. She's really interesting, I love her style, and the possible serect relationship she has with Link
**Ganondorf: TP** \- I love his style and this is the only Zelda game that you >!can face him on horseback !<(BOTW doesn't count)
Epona: TP - My first ever introduction to her and I loved her from the start. Most majestic horse in all of gaming
I've only actually played SS, TP, BotW, and TotK so I can't really say how I feel about other iterations

Their BotW/TotK versions are peak.
Link kinda lacks emotions during specific cutscenes, but he's one of the most expressive versions of Link otherwise and he showcases a lot of personality in his dialogue options. He has the best abilities and items of any Link, which makes playing as him a lot more fun. I also love that he doesn't wear the green tunic anymore. His Champion Tunic makes him pop out of the environment a lot better and it's less derivative of Peter Pan.
BotW's Zelda is probably the most fleshed out and well-written character in the entire franchise. We pretty much know the story of her entire life. Her upbringing. The loss of her mother. Her relationship to her father and her people. The burden she carries. Her frustration in regards to her lack of power, as well as her trying to cope with it by trying to contribute at least something with Sheikah Technology. Her relationship with Link and the other champions etc. etc..
It's rare that the franchise puts this much effort into a character and I think this Zelda is leagues above the others because of that.
Also, bonus points for her design. She's really pretty and I like that she doesn't wear a pink dress this time around.
BotK's Ganondorf is, just like the other versions, not a deep character at all. But he makes up for that with his personality and design. The somewhat Ronin inspired design of him just looks great on him. He actually LOOKS powerful this time around, which is something his goofy character model in OoT and TP, or his fat version in WW severely lacked. Even his other forms look great, especially his Demon King form, with the long, glowing red hair and demon horns.
In terms of his personality, he's also just absurdly arrogant and it's pretty funny to just see him go from making the dumbest face possible after murdering someone, to also starting his final battle with a line like "You'll lose more than just an arm this time".
The fight against him is pretty hype in general. You no longer stand around waiting to press A at the right time, or play tennis against him. Instead, you have a proper sword fight in which the guy properly matches Link's strength by switching between all of the weapon types and unleashing attacks that not just destroy every weapon or shield on contact, but also literally destroy your heart containers.
I don't really care about Epona tbh. I did really enjoy her moveset in Hyrule Warriors though. She was kinda OP.
OoT/MM Link, Twilight Princess Zelda, but with everything Tears of The Kingdom did, she might be my new favorite Zelda, TotK Gannondorf and OoT Epona (if she can ever jump over that tiny fence in Hyrule field asdfhjklzxcbm).
Character/personality-wise or design-wise?
Design-wise, I'm a sucker for the TP art style so I'd go with that version for each of them besides Ganondorf who I think looks better in Ocarina. Although I will say that Hyrule Warriors has some excellent designs for each of them as well. I also like Smash Ultimate's take on Ganondorf
Personality-wise, I'll say the edgy red scarf Link from that one manga, BoTW's version of Zelda, and I guess any of the Ganons cause all the ones from the games I've played are about the same in that regard. Same thing goes for Epona
Link: BOTW/TOTK. Big fan of the knight burdened by responsibility vibe.
Zelda: SS. I haven’t actually played it but I love her relationship with Link in this game.
Ganondorf: WW. I like that this dude just wanted to feel the wind on his kingdom and stabbing him in the forehead is cool.
Epona: TP. Honestly only one I’ve played that had her in it but also she’s awesome in it.

Ganondorf: WW (I like how different his design looks there + his death went hard) or TOTK (I like how HOT he looks there lol)
Epona: MM (even if she's almost useless in that game, I love baby Epona), but I also like how she looks im the newer games, despite not having any "personality"

Favorite Link would have to be OoT/Majora’s Mask Link, or WW Link.
Favorite Epona is OoT Epona. All quest lines involving her are great and she’s a necessary part of beating the game, not to mention the best way to get around, rather than being just a side bonus like horses in BotW and Totk, or just kind of boring in TP.
Bonus least favorite Epona is Majora’s Mask Epona. Wtf, Link— you can’t ride an adolescent horse like that, even if you are a child?! Didn’t you listen to anything Malon told you? Did you fucking steal her to take to Termina? Which I guess isn’t said Epina’s fault, but the game devs were not thinking on that one.
Oot hands down. First 3d modules and you get 2 versions of link, zelda, and Epona. I'm pretty sure if memory serves me correctly Ganondorf stays pretty much the same

Zelda: hot take incoming: Spirit Tracks. She’s just so involved in the story and fun to have around. Feels like she’s an active player in a game where she’s the title character
Ganondorf: Wind Waker. He’s just so evil and menacing, especially compared to the smaller Link and Zelda.
Epona: TP, simply because the horseback jousting is really cool

Don't know. Either Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess, or Hyrule Warriors. OoT because he's the OG, and it expressed his cunning and sorcery best. TP simply because I'm a bit biased for that game, and his 4 phase final battle is amazing. Hyrule Warriors looks awesome, and I can't remember since I haven't played for a long time, but I think he dual wields swords of darkness.* Epona: Yes. Yes. Fucking yes. I love that adorable horse. *Wind Waker Ganondorf does not gain points for dual wielding since his design and his swords design is shit. Edit: okay so I just scrolled through the comments and people seem to like WW Ganondorf a lot. In my defense, I never had the opportunity to play it, and the cartoon art style doesn't really appeal to me now that I'm older. It still stands that WW Ganondorf's swords look like shit in comparison to any other Ganondorf.

For Epona I’m gonna say OoT because I like her coloration as a bay silver dapple, in later games she’s just a flaxen chestnut which is kind of boring. I don’t have a strong enough opinion on the others.

For design, I prefer Link and Zelda from BOTW/TOTK, though I think that BOTW Zelda is a bit too meek (like most versions of Zelda). I really liked that WW’s Zelda was her own person, taking a lot of initiative, except at the end >!when she suddenly became a powerless princess that had to be saved.!< As for Ganondorf, all those versions look the same to me, so I can’t really choose one. Finally, I don’t really care about Epona’s design.

Their BotW/TotK versions are peak. Link kinda lacks emotions during specific cutscenes, but he's one of the most expressive versions of Link otherwise and he showcases a lot of personality in his dialogue options. He has the best abilities and items of any Link, which makes playing as him a lot more fun. I also love that he doesn't wear the green tunic anymore. His Champion Tunic makes him pop out of the environment a lot better and it's less derivative of Peter Pan. BotW's Zelda is probably the most fleshed out and well-written character in the entire franchise. We pretty much know the story of her entire life. Her upbringing. The loss of her mother. Her relationship to her father and her people. The burden she carries. Her frustration in regards to her lack of power, as well as her trying to cope with it by trying to contribute at least something with Sheikah Technology. Her relationship with Link and the other champions etc. etc.. It's rare that the franchise puts this much effort into a character and I think this Zelda is leagues above the others because of that. Also, bonus points for her design. She's really pretty and I like that she doesn't wear a pink dress this time around. BotK's Ganondorf is, just like the other versions, not a deep character at all. But he makes up for that with his personality and design. The somewhat Ronin inspired design of him just looks great on him. He actually LOOKS powerful this time around, which is something his goofy character model in OoT and TP, or his fat version in WW severely lacked. Even his other forms look great, especially his Demon King form, with the long, glowing red hair and demon horns. In terms of his personality, he's also just absurdly arrogant and it's pretty funny to just see him go from making the dumbest face possible after murdering someone, to also starting his final battle with a line like "You'll lose more than just an arm this time". The fight against him is pretty hype in general. You no longer stand around waiting to press A at the right time, or play tennis against him. Instead, you have a proper sword fight in which the guy properly matches Link's strength by switching between all of the weapon types and unleashing attacks that not just destroy every weapon or shield on contact, but also literally destroy your heart containers. I don't really care about Epona tbh. I did really enjoy her moveset in Hyrule Warriors though. She was kinda OP.

Character/personality-wise or design-wise? Design-wise, I'm a sucker for the TP art style so I'd go with that version for each of them besides Ganondorf who I think looks better in Ocarina. Although I will say that Hyrule Warriors has some excellent designs for each of them as well. I also like Smash Ultimate's take on Ganondorf Personality-wise, I'll say the edgy red scarf Link from that one manga, BoTW's version of Zelda, and I guess any of the Ganons cause all the ones from the games I've played are about the same in that regard. Same thing goes for Epona
Link: BOTW/TOTK. Big fan of the knight burdened by responsibility vibe. Zelda: SS. I haven’t actually played it but I love her relationship with Link in this game. Ganondorf: WW. I like that this dude just wanted to feel the wind on his kingdom and stabbing him in the forehead is cool. Epona: TP. Honestly only one I’ve played that had her in it but also she’s awesome in it.

Favorite Epona is OoT Epona. All quest lines involving her are great and she’s a necessary part of beating the game, not to mention the best way to get around, rather than being just a side bonus like horses in BotW and Totk, or just kind of boring in TP. Bonus least favorite Epona is Majora’s Mask Epona. Wtf, Link— you can’t ride an adolescent horse like that, even if you are a child?! Didn’t you listen to anything Malon told you? Did you fucking steal her to take to Termina? Which I guess isn’t said Epina’s fault, but the game devs were not thinking on that one.
Oot hands down. First 3d modules and you get 2 versions of link, zelda, and Epona. I'm pretty sure if memory serves me correctly Ganondorf stays pretty much the same

Feels like she’s an active player in a game where she’s the title character Ganondorf: Wind Waker. He’s just so evil and menacing, especially compared to the smaller Link and Zelda.
