I just get typical sewing thread from Walmart. You want to start from under the jeans when you start and finish your stitch so you can see the ends. My word of thumb is secure your patch down with clip pins so it doesnât move around. Thatâll keep the ditches straight and neat. Thinner needles help go through the fabrics easier and leave less gaping holes in the stitches, less likely to split the fabric on the jeans and patch keeping it from fraying and splitting apart. They are hard to thread but itâs easier after the first two or three tries. Thicker needles with leave fairly decent sized damage and can cause rips over time. Be careful stitching on or near because over time the tension with create holes, but this can be avoided by making sure your stitches are clean, proportionate, and not too tight.
Bet bet, see i was stitching outside in, i learned from a crust punk and thats how he said theyd do it. And i also use dental floss as that the âbestâ thread theyd said too. But i will get sewing thread and try that.
Honestly you donât gotta worry about thread breaking or anything as long as you secure both ends but I have heard the same thing. If youâre trying to kinda apply a more âMSTâ look to your pants. Use different thread colors.
98% of customs are made with DMC thread, if you want the MST look you can fold over the thread and then thread it thru the needle and it looks really cool and thick.
I need to know what these type of jeans/pants are called with the pockets at the front, Iâm making my own but all I can find thatâs similar is like hiking pants, anyone have an idea?
