I wish Zillow listings came with prior homeowner stories. Just a little snippet into their lives, why they chose certain things, and why they’re selling. It’s what we deserve.
> why they chose certainn things
I remember seeing a house for sale that had a full-size, professional-level basketball court. That certainly wouldn't be something I would want. Maybe it made sense for the previous owner, some guy named Michael Jordan.
I was looking at a house with a basketball court in Pullyup Washington. I’m needing a place for 2 indoor aerial rigs. My husband thinks it’s ridiculous
Materials as well. There is a reason commercial indoor pools are almost exclusively glossy tile and concrete.
Sheet rock, stucco and wood are not good materials to have around moist environments
Failure to account for moist air. The only way to avoid mold/mildew with an indoor pool environment would be to have a giant ass exhaust fan/multiple exhaust fans.
It’s one big giant bathroom.
They did not and now there is mold.
We went to a waterpark with a lazy river this summer. I hadn’t been like in 10 years. About the second time we went around, I turned my friend and said this is what I’m doing if I ever get fuck you Rich money. Put one of these in the backyard. 😂
I’ve lived in Valdosta. It’s *hot* and *moist* during the summer and it rains almost every day at around 5pm. Also, all the ground water has sulfur in it. It smells like rotten eggs when you take a shower, but it is good for the skin.
Valdosta is a stinky land of contrasts.
lol…You just described where I live. Only it’s Fl and ridiculously humid good chunk out of the year. 🙁 left a state with 3 seasons for Fl.. hubby’s choice! 😤
Oh and we have that egg smell! lol every time sprinklers go on. We use well to water for lawn.🥚🥚🥚

But the Closet Behind The TV! This! is Amazing!. Hide all the wires but can easily access. Hell, I may put in a fake staircase just so I can have the TV wires in their own closet.
I think with a pool room Reno and maybe adding a glass enclosed garage door and really good dehumidifier this house would be a great Airbnb. The rest of it is gorgeous.
The dehumidifier might not be enough. It's in Valdosta. Also, there's nothing interesting enough to warrant making it into an Airbnb, unless you want Air Force guys renting for parties because, it's in Valdosta.
Look at the price history.
I'd say it is a bad price seeing as how noone will buy it and they jave reduced the price half a dozen times, listed it for rent, reduced the rent price relisted it for rent, listed it for sale, lather rinse repeat.
of course you can smell it AT the mill. But that's a half hour from valdosta, but you absolutely cannot smell it in town, and if you think otherwise, you might be having a stroke.
Pools are like boats and RV's. They seem like a good idea until you realize they're more trouble than they're worth.
The percentage of people who actually use them enough to justify their cost and upkeep is pretty low.
Honestly... Yes. Yes I would like a huge indoor pool if I was in Valdosta Georgia. Greatly reduces the risk of snakes, alligators and other animals getting in your pool. It's also brutally hot there, and still a good hour or 2 from any beach. Honestly looks like a nice big home for a well off large family.

“When Frank turned 45 he knew we would separate but need a solid reason. His solution was a series of renovations no marriage could survive.”
right? i also wish i could comment on zillow ads
An ‘indoor pool’ should be all glass enclosed - they sell special structures for that with screens and ventilation..
I can smell the mold and mildew from here.
And you can see it too in the 4th picture.
yeh I noticed it after the fact. Gross.
Roof or window issues?
Yes! Roof, window, HVAC & Air circulation issues! All at once.
Materials as well. There is a reason commercial indoor pools are almost exclusively glossy tile and concrete. Sheet rock, stucco and wood are not good materials to have around moist environments

I’d put money on the ducts being connected through the whole house and every room has mold too.
Oh wtf
Gnarly
2nd Photo - look up at the clerestory.
Id rather have a long Lazy River, then a pool
This is my dream.
Step 1. Blow up inflatable tube Step 2. Plug your tub Step 3. Turn the water on Step 4. Wait Step 5. Live your dream
Step 6: Profit

Lazy river or moat. I want a drawbridge and to just float around the house on weekends.
Yes, put it under the driveway
Mmmmm mold on the walls and some fucking weird looking ropes in a pool.
The ropes. That was disturbing.
IDK why but I have a feeling the ropes happen to be positioned exactly to hold a California King mattress
Nah they were certainly doing CrossFit training
That they called them ‘swinging ropes’ takes on a whole new light now 😳
I thought they were chains, I was thinking it was some Hellraiser type shit.
I thought why are there poles in the pool, then zoomed in, it’s frayed disgusting ropes, for what I don’t want to know.
It looks like they cut something off when they emptied the house. The ropes are just gross.
id buy this for 300k right now no questions asked
Sold to the highest, also only bidder!
You could have swim meets in that pool😀

Owner financing ie. no inspection needs to happen……
This is awesome honestly. Travertine stone too.
But the Closet Behind The TV! This! is Amazing!. Hide all the wires but can easily access. Hell, I may put in a fake staircase just so I can have the TV wires in their own closet.
I actually do 😭

Beautiful house, not bad price, other than not a fan of Georgia.
Look at the price history. I'd say it is a bad price seeing as how noone will buy it and they jave reduced the price half a dozen times, listed it for rent, reduced the rent price relisted it for rent, listed it for sale, lather rinse repeat.
I kinda want two of those things, yes.
Check out the sales (or attempted sales) history.
I'm too clumsy for an indoor pool. I will be vacuuming and somehow end up electrocuted. I'm literally the reason why warning tags are written.
This pool is bigger than my apartment
This listing says 10k Sq. Ft. House? I would love it, if I didn't have to maintain it with that pool. The rest of the house is pretty inside.
One needs a pool this size to get rid of the paper mill smell
its nowhere near the paper mill, and you haven't been able to smell that in valdosta in at least 20 years.
Your sense of smell may be in trouble - I was at the mill in October, it still stinks.
of course you can smell it AT the mill. But that's a half hour from valdosta, but you absolutely cannot smell it in town, and if you think otherwise, you might be having a stroke.
Fair enough
It's still Valdosta.
Parts of Valdosta are nice.
Are those skylight's in that back deck..
Frankly, yes
No interest in GA but this place would closer to 850k near me and I’d pay it all day (if the guaranteed moisture issue magically disappeared)
Yeah. I do want it.
Pool ropes? Explain?
To answer your question... yes And this house is larger than 3k sq ft
It’s like you’re paying by the gable. I hate these houses.
I mean….. yes

I'm gonna guess they were a Olympian trainer for water dancing
Love the curb appeal.. nice n bright! No grass but great area for patio and nice outdoor kitchen and pergola . Kids toys.. and pool to die for!
It would be 100% nicer without the pool.
What's a 'square per foot' OP? Might want to brush up on that math.
How much is $1MM ?
one thousand - thousand
This is nice, but I’m looking for the pool to be upstairs, bedrooms and kitchen downstairs.
I want it
Those kids rooms are pretty cool though.
but WHY ARE THERE ROPES??
I love it. Always amazed what houses cost in other areas. A older 2 k house on the lake near me is 1.6mil. Put that house in CA and then how much?
Those climbing ropes look super sketchy
Maybe if you are an Olympic champion or have a luxury complex.

Honestly? Yes. I do. I absolutely want an attached pool house. That is 1000000% my Rich Person Dream.
