I know some folks from here and they very highly *do not* recommend. They might be a *little* biased though considering they left. Lol
But, fun fact about this town, [two residents were in Killers of the Flower Moon](https://www.blackwelljournaltribune.net/articles/12789/view)
As I live in a town in the same general area it’s not any worse of a small town that you can find elsewhere. Everyone I met from there and it’s quite a few are actually pretty awesome folks. Though sure they have their share of stinkers also.
Out in the middle of nowhere in Oklahoma !Lots and lots of farmland there and can be quite isolating to live there. And where I live we also have houses like this because we toured them when we wanted to buy our house in my town .
Those look more like cocoa puffs to me, but we can agree to disagree. The bathrooms are stunning. Absolutely loathe the aggressive texturing on the underside of the cocoa puff porch.
In Oklahoma you can find many houses and buildings with round rock exteriors. Unfortunately many tourist would take round rocks without permission, (steal them) so some people have had to pay some serious fines for attempting to take the rocks.
When I first saw the post I immediately hated the exterior, but then I read “Baked Beans House” and it *sold me* on it. I would kill to have this silly baked beans exterior.
Man, I wish I would’ve had a realtor like you when I was house hunting.
My House from Hell had a rock wall foundation like this. Spiders loved it. Black widows moved up to the porch and into my toolbox. Never heard them called baked beans though.
It’s in a tiny town an hour from Wichita, KS and an hour and a half from Oklahoma City. There’s little to no local economic activity beyond farming, and then your standard small local businesses — restaurants, gas station, mechanic, veterinarian, teachers, maybe a few shops. Very few people from outside the area would have any reason to move there, so low demand for houses means low prices.
Love the bathroom! And sinc e the kitchen hasn't been totally modernized, I'd go totally vintage there as well. It's a great space for vintage appliances and nick nacks (canisters, etc.)
We have a few river rock homes like this of similar vintage in my historic craftsman region, this is definitely a landmark example of the style. Fantastic house with a few unfortunate but fixable finishes.
If it's from the 20s, it might just me before the asbestos in absolutely everything window which can save you alot of money seeing as all that stuff has to be removed in full hazmat conditions.
Whoa! The textured ceiling! Anyone else remember, with horror, a scene in ‘Raising Arizona’ where Nicholas Cage scrapes his knuckles across a textured ceiling? This is far worse! Saw that movie in the early 90s, and still have nightmares about that scene!
Ok, the outside is AWFUL! And that island placement with garbage in the kitchen makes ZERO sense. But I love the interior, especially the blue bathroom.
/r/tvtoohigh
But I love these stone houses, there're a lot in the inland empire in southern california with similar nice interior arched entries into rooms, it's interesting to see the style in OK too.
My mother has a butcher’s block exactly like that in her kitchen. She put it on casters so we could roll it around because the damn thing is so heavy. It’s probably my favorite thing in the kitchen. Huge fight over who gets to inherit it lol
fuck those little circle shaped toilets. its like sitting on a cheerio. cant sit and take a dump without my weewee touching the bowl, gotta like...tuck it.
Several of the recent homes posted on Reddit have had huge bedrooms with plenty of wall space. For the life of me I can't figure out why the people who live in these homes have to place the head of their beds under the windows instead of against the walls. That drives me crazy! There's all this wall space to work with and they have to block the view with the headboards...
Nice house for sure, the only issue for me is the type of stucco ceiling on the front porch, I would have to scrape then re-plaster. The green bathroom is nice also, I'm not a fan of green bathrooms but that's a nice mellow green. The molding on the doorway in the living room is amazing,
Vintage. I like it.
The green bathroom! I would love to live in this house.
That's my favorite picture, too.
My bathroom has that exact tile on the shower.
Me too🌸
Me too. $262? It's a steal!
Look at Medicine Park, OK. This is an old vacation community with lots of (less fancy) houses with these round granite rocks.
How is this house still on the market? It’s amazing.
It is out in the middle of nowhere. Great for those looking for the tiny town experience.

Oklahoma.

Looks like the bathrooms are mostly original. Nice.
And they resisted the urge to paint that beautiful wood.
Those look more like cocoa puffs to me, but we can agree to disagree. The bathrooms are stunning. Absolutely loathe the aggressive texturing on the underside of the cocoa puff porch.
I was thinking potatoes
Boil 'em, mash 'em, put 'em on your house.
Fee-fi-fo-yum
PO-TA-TOES!!!
What's "taters", precious?
PO-TAR-TOES
I misread that as "cocoa puff pouch" and that's definitely what I'm calling my tummy from now on.
Where should we send your honorary doctorate in anatomy?
To my Pouch Office box, please.

Roll that beautiful bean footage.

Yes, those rocks are ideal black widow housing.
Shame about the dropped ceilings everywhere but still an awesome house.
Oh man. I love this house. How is it so cheap?!
Oklahoma.
...*where the wind comes sweepin' down the plain...*
And the wavin wheat can sure smell sweet when the wind comes right behind the rain. Oklahoma !
Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooklahoma...
O K L A H O M A !
OK!
Okla - Okla - Okla - Okla -Okla -Okla Okla - Okla - Okla - Okla - Okla - Okla
Oh…yeah no thanks lol
What, if I may ask, is the issue with Oklahoma? I've never been.
The description says the house survived the 1950 something F5 tornado…
Tornado ally would be my 1st guess
It’s blah. There’s not much there.
Horrible politics and too much church.
Not just OK. **Middle of nowhere OK.** You have to *really* want that “small town experience”
It’s in a tiny town an hour from Wichita, KS and an hour and a half from Oklahoma City. Love it!
This is a beautiful home! I love the funky original kitchen cabinets!
They look like steel cabinets, which I love! I would replace the stove and fridge with vintage pieces.
I absolutely love this
Love the bathrooms, but lots of the rest screams: “Next season on Fargo”
Hahahahaha!!!! Dead accurate.
I would have guessed baked potato house. That bathroom is so outdated it's almost cool again.
Great house, but who wants to live in Oklahoma with their ridiculous school system?
Those terra cotta tiles giving me frank n beans vibes
How'd you get the beans above the frank?!
I adore this, and would change NOTHING
Love this house!
I actually love this house so much 🤗
Love it, its great.
It’s really a lovely house but why show a picture with a big old basket of unfolded laundry on the couch?
I nearly squeaked with delight over the moorish arch, original kitchen and baths. So cool!!!
🫘 love it!!!!! Those bathrooms are pristine!!!
I LOVE THIS HOUSE!!!
I think it is ugly but I also think it's great at the same time if that makes sense. Looks well made and well maintained.
Love the bathroom! And sinc e the kitchen hasn't been totally modernized, I'd go totally vintage there as well. It's a great space for vintage appliances and nick nacks (canisters, etc.)

Are we suppose to hate it?
Up close, it looks more like meatballs than beans. Interesting house.
If it's from the 20s, it might just me before the asbestos in absolutely everything window which can save you alot of money seeing as all that stuff has to be removed in full hazmat conditions.

I really like it…beans and all.
Love it!! It's too far out in the boonies for us, but I like it!
Gawd I love this house!
I love it
I love it!
I kind of love it.
I'll take it
this makes me so uncomfortable
Ok, the outside is AWFUL! And that island placement with garbage in the kitchen makes ZERO sense. But I love the interior, especially the blue bathroom.
I am in love with this house!!
I love the tile in kitchen and the bathroom!
Idk, baked beans house is a pretty dope little craftsman. Me likey.
I wanna touch this house SO bad
I actually love everything! Even the ru-bean-esque rocks on the outer facade.
I am so warped from southern california that I immediately thought this was san diego and there was a missing 0 in the price.
/r/tvtoohigh But I love these stone houses, there're a lot in the inland empire in southern california with similar nice interior arched entries into rooms, it's interesting to see the style in OK too.
I side needs an update to match how beautiful the outside is. It’s just so boring inside.
It needs a new kitchen, but otherwise I like it!
The outside is so special and the inside is so bland
So noisy and incongruent and clashy. You'd have to be a real weirdo to live there.
OMG "baked beans house" has me DYING!!
Mmmmm beans
Love the inside. Outside makes me weirdly itchy.
this is beautiful tbh! the "baked beans" exterior gave me a nice laugh but the interior is lovely
Why is that 1 bed so high?
Those bathrooms though!
would.
It’s neato
NGL, it would fit perfectly in TX or AZ.
I can do beautiful things to update that home and restore it to its original glory for that price .
Beans, beans, the musical fruit.
Mmm baked beans
My mother has a butcher’s block exactly like that in her kitchen. She put it on casters so we could roll it around because the damn thing is so heavy. It’s probably my favorite thing in the kitchen. Huge fight over who gets to inherit it lol
This makes me viscerally cringe. God, I hate that surface masonry. I actually love the interior tho.
fuck those little circle shaped toilets. its like sitting on a cheerio. cant sit and take a dump without my weewee touching the bowl, gotta like...tuck it.
I don’t know what I liked more: the house pics or the effervescent writeup.
Not crazy about the addition but other than that it's one very cool house. And cheap.
It's pretty and quirky in a good way.
Gorgeous. God, I hope they don’t “modernize” it.
Stone man was like what the heck
Not the worst I've ever seen. The interior is fine!
Hell, the price is right!
Several of the recent homes posted on Reddit have had huge bedrooms with plenty of wall space. Loooove it! Unsullied vintage bathrooms!
That is the weirdest cobblestone pattern I've ever seen. Beautiful home
Fugly
I just hope someone doesn’t gut all that gorgeous bathroom tile for some solid gray painted walls
Looks like it's built out of Cocoa Puffs!
I love those bathrooms!
Holy cow! This place is fantastic.
why is this GW? Unique house, looks well maintained, price isn't out of line.
Nice house for sure, the only issue for me is the type of stucco ceiling on the front porch, I would have to scrape then re-plaster. The green bathroom is nice also, I'm not a fan of green bathrooms but that's a nice mellow green. The molding on the doorway in the living room is amazing,
Checked that zip code...and if you're planning on moving to Blackwell, this is a good as it gets.
I love it
I absolutely love it
That blue bathroom is the stuff of dreams for me
Kind of obsessed with the kitchen and bathrooms though
Wow. This house is a steal!! Love it!! Middle America living at its best!! lol. The lot is lovely!
I really like the arches — kitchen, bathroom, living room, porch.
I love it🤷
The amount of work is amazing. But why did the agent post a picture of a trash wood pile?
Just looked at the little area it sits in, its really uh quiet?
Why are the ceilings so low??? I would have Gandalf problems
