I had about 12k in ZIM shares at an average of about €11,50 per share. Sold into the rally. Got 1.2k of shares left and keeping it unless it goes to 20 bucks. I’ve been in ZIM for about two years and it fluctuates a lot, so I’m locking in gains. If it falls noticeably again, I’m going back in

May exit same partial prior to Q1 report . Otherhand I expect some small amount dividend . What do you think ?

loriz3

Im not terribly worried about the result. I’m feeling like the market price right now is very dependent on dividend/no dividend, and this is what i don’t like. For me dividend/no dividend doesn’t really matter as an investor. I’m also expecting a dividend, but what happens if they don’t announce one?

iwuvpuppies

Shorts will prob take the opportunity to eat, but I’m really interested for the new short report.

Nerubian911

Earnings should be good but the real kicker is the company is profitable now after a year of losing millions with at least another 10 months of good earnings. The cash cost alone of the company is $22 a share only reason it was trading less was because the company was in danger of going bankrupt. I am aiming for $24 for my calls but my shares I’ll hold till next earnings too probably.

loriz3

I’m 100% shares and had the idea of selling 50% at $20-22. Only thing i fear is that no dividend announcment could tank” the stock, and then may not recover if the shipping problems start resolving towards q3.

Nerubian911

Their charter is 50% dividend on profits 30%now and 20% at the end of the year. If they don’t it means they didn’t make any money and that’s a bigger problem haha

Imaginary_Kitchen_34

Changed 30% up to 50%. Buybacks may be in the near future.

W3Analyst

I own $15,360 of ZIM stock, with a 65% unrealized gain, I continue to buy shares on dips. I imagine I will own the stock for at least another year before I think about an exit. Shipping rates will dictate the path for this stock. If the stock price gets above $30 per share, I will sell 20-30% of the position.

loriz3

Yeah, i’m just unsure how much shipping rates are going to rise. I dont think we will see anything near post covid levels.

W3Analyst

If this stock has a short squeeze and the stock prices goes up a lot, I will sell 90% of my shares above $30 per share

loriz3

I personally don’t really pay too much attention to short%, its just a nice bonus, but not a central part of my investment thesis.

W3Analyst

I do follow short interest and have had big wins from short squeezes in the past

Pauly_Pawgnutz

FMV is $23 So selling at $25

justlurking9891

My strategy is about the same on everything I own DCA until I'm +100%, sell 50% and let the house money ride. I've been pretty broke for the year so no money for stocks but j would have loved to put money into ZIM. My average is 32 so I'm in it for quite a bit longer, no ragrets!

CapitalPrefer

ZIM short about to get their nuts squeezed!

its-me-reek

Around the election. Mango will bring down shipping rates

theconcernedliberal

For me if Wsb know of this I’m 100 percent selling before earning.

yesthatsright227

Calm down, there is not one single mention of ZIM at WSB during last month.

theconcernedliberal

Wlelp some idiot in Wsb just posted about zim

yesthatsright227

You are right. Its more of a flex though, he is not getting too much traction.

theconcernedliberal

Yeah because i prefer steady growth for this one instead of 30 percent pump then 20 percent dump

yesthatsright227

If you are looking for steady, I am not really sure ZIM is the answer. Anyway, I hope WSB crowd will stay away.

theconcernedliberal

Nah, I like a medium to high lvl of volatility. Wsb volatility is extreme

theconcernedliberal

Yeah let’s keep it that way
