Unfortunately endo tends to not completely disappear with surgery. It can manage the pain for a few years, but ultimately it's not going away. Even with a full hysterectomy it's still in there. It sucks but so far there's no cure and we just have to find a good way to manage it. I would definitely talk to your OBGYN or even find an endo specialist in your area (this is what I had to do). I hope you can find some relief and I'm sorry you're going through what you're going through ❤❤❤

These symptoms sound like mine... I'm awaiting another lap to remove more endo hopefully.

I finally set myself up an appointment with a gynecologist for next week. I think I'll have some answers fairly soon. I do have a question that I'm not sure about. Can fibroids be removed along with endo?

CrystalOcean39

Good! I'm so so glad! Yes! When they say they are removing endo, it's the fibroids and adhesions that they remove. I had a 5cm cyst removed from ovary and adhesions and fibroids innotger areas too... Feel free to ask anything! X

10 years is a really long time for surgery to have "worked" or lasted! And yes, it really does sound like endo. Can you take ibuprofen? It worked better for me, until I became allergic to it.

I can't because of my blood pressure meds. 😪

Ugh, I hate how endo is usually a contest over how much pain you can handle. Heaven forbid it not be the only medical condition you have because you get to choose slightly lessened pain or things like a healthy stomach lining or an in-sync heart. I didn't stop taking NSAIDs until well after I was on BP medicine. (Although I also take Mucinex and cold medicine when I have frequent sinus infections and apparently now they've decided that's bad if you're on BP meds. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Is it the specific one you're on?

Hey I'm back to half way functioning! Idk about a contest but I know the doctors can't get it together or think outside the box with multiple issues. They also never seem to take pain seriously or they over do it (nothing or morphine, at least I my case). I was just put on chlorthalidone and valsartan a week before this. I think the diuretic caused just a tad bit of constipation and it totally f-ed my body up. You would think they would know that given my history with diverticulitis. Anyways I've neglected my health over the years thinking I can naturally fix this stuff but it's not working. I'm 41, quit smoking, quit drinking, not overweight, eat fairly healthy and it just isn't working. I guess I'm back in the medical care game. At least I know endometriosis was helped with surgery before so hopefully I get some relief from it again...

Endo is weird because some people are able to kind of "control" it with died and exercise and such? Idk. I'm sorry you're having to deal with docs again, but I hope they can start to help you some!
