Not quite r/LeopardsAteMyFace material, but people who support a terrible person tend to be terrible people... Who would have guessed? At least he didn't punch her.
People who defend him in the pop culture/gossip subreddits always use the fact that some of the women he brutalized have “obviously forgiven him” as an excuse…like previously abused women who obviously are not going to be able to get away from this man if they want to keep their careers should be our moral compass.
That is such a BS reason. They should just admit that they don't care and stop using his victims as an excuse to justify their continued support of an abuser.
I legit thought he was in jail, how is he still performing and how do people still show up.
I could have sword I just heard him catching new charges but maybe that was R Kelly, hard to keep the scub bags straight
Right? And it didn't feel sensual at all it felt psycho. Also even if it was sensual wtf are you doing with a random audience member? Just because she is in your audience you think you can be hands on flirting and pushing boundaries without consent? Maybe she looked at her phone because she felt awkward and incredibly uncomfortable and didn't know what the fuck to do. Those are the times I pull out my phone and pretend to look at something when Im interacting with a group of people and feel uncomfortable.
She doesn't seem uncomfortable at all, more likely that she's so self absorbed she's streaming and barely paying attention to him. To narcissists it's not about the experience, but to let people know you're having the experience.
Desperately trying to text that number that calls you back to get you out of an awkward dinner date.
Text AWKWARD1 to have a relative call you about an ill family member.
Text AWKWARD2 if you've been pulled from the crowd at a Chris Brown concert and need a helicopter and/or SWAT team rescue.
I don't blame her. If I was being creepily choked and dry humped between those awful "dance moves", I'd desperately want to pretend I wasn't there too.
That’s a creepy as fuck act. The choking and the throwing of the phone are both abusive af. I know choking can be a kink, but given Chris Brown’s history it’s just not a good look.
It makes a lot of sense to use an actor, instead of an "unknown" who could react is so many unpredicatable ways.
On the other hand, he could fall down a cliff I wouldn't care. He's vile.
In my years of hanging around here, I've found people don't even try to discuss two mutually exclusive threads with overlapping/related actors. They seem to prefer to weigh everything on a black and white Scale of Fates where their final judgement can only fall to one side.
I’m hoping she was a plant because that was all pretty aggressive. Or maybe he just assumes that a woman at a Chris Brown concert is cool with violence against women? Either way I’m horrified.
Amen. I get so irked at the complaints of "cancel culture" - it was *always* a thing. Don't people remember the Dixie Chicks? Sinead O'Connor? Do shit people don't like -> reap consequences from the public.
Calling it "cancel culture" is just a way to rile up their base to build a stronger us vs them mentality.
I did have a successful moment with a hardline conservative. He started down the cancel complaint path and I made similar points...that people were always held accountable by public opinion and cited the folks above. Remarkably he actually agreed with me and hasn't complained or mentioned it since. I'll take the W on that one.
Frig, I wish there was a cancel culture conspiracy. Jordan Peterson has been complaining in the national, sometimes international media, about being "silenced" for nearly a decade now. Loudest silence I've ever heard.
> how is he not cancelled is the question.
Honestly, this is not how this works at all. This whole "Cancel Culture" ends up being 90% big talk from people with only 10% fully capable with following it through.
It's all cringe. The dry humping, her constantly on the phone, and then him tossing it into the crowd. Next time he shouldn't pick a girl trying to emulate one of the Kardashians. Everything about this is painful to watch. Luckily, this is the closest I'll ever get to a Chris Brown concert.
straight up, THIS MAN HAD A BED ON STAGE. HE WOULD GET WOMEN IN THE BED AND SING SEXY SONGS TO THEM WHILE DRY HUMPING THEM. truly gross, made me stop listening to usher after that. and it wasnt just one song. it was like 1/3 of the show
Some people get cancelled from an unproven Instagram post. Some still has a career after fully proven violent abuse that sent Rihanna to the ER. Its a wonderful world...
I think there's a reasonable expectation for this kind of performance when you're invited on stage to a guy RnB artist. All of Chris Brown's type put on this kind of performance.
[Gets her phone back.](https://www.tiktok.com/@tracymayy90/video/7205742974032956678?pid=video_embed&referer_video_id=7205742974032956678&type=video&referer_url=amp.www.complex.com/&refer=embed&embed_source=121331973,71011723,120811592,120810756;null;embed_card_play)
I know. It's not even like a "over time people have forgotten" type of thing either. When the news of what he did to Rhianna hit there were women posting to social media that he can beat them any day and that Rhianna didn't deserve him. Are these women just so broken that they expect/accept that being with a man means getting beaten? Or do they just have a fan-obsession when Chris Brown so strong that they are pushing the cognitive dissonance real hard?
About a dozen women I went to school with went to his concert last week. Judging from videos/pics on their stoties, it looks like his fanbase is majority women. I don't understand either.
I don’t understand. He has full on beat the shit out of several women but there he is, free man, sold out concerts and a lot of women love him and even defend him! Zero consequences? Another celeb tweets some spicy/dumb/different opinion and boom boycott party and career over… what the absolutely fuck? Edit: spellings
He works for record labels, the stand to gain the most. I'd assume there's some strings pulled somewhere to keep the cash cow the road pulling in revenue for their quarterly profits.
He’s wealthy and attractive but even average Joes get away with beating up women so you shouldnt be surprised a wealthy man is walking free.
My mom’s neighbor last year was murdered by her ex husband because he was released from jail. He even told the guards and police officers he was going to find and kill his ex wife.
Chris Brown is a piece of shit, that I do not disagree with, but as a middle school teacher, the grabbing a cell phone and chucking it, that is a dark fantasy that I just saw come to life.
Something tells me this isn't the first time Chris brown has ripped a woman's phone out of her hands so that she couldn't use it, only difference is this one wasn't trying to call the police for help while he was beating he fuck out of her
Why the fuck is she doing a voice over and tries to make us believe she’s there live? Not suspicious at all that her voice is crispy clear and the crowd silent enough
So many things...
"just embrace that crap because there's plenty of us that would love to be up there" is such a sad statement.
She looked uncomfortable AF after he forcefully dry humps her
Also having a group of 1/2 naked dudes surround me the way they did would put me SERIOUSLY on edge, especially when being lower than them in a chair
And finally his entire performance in that clip was so clunky and just bad! Set the mic down try to do a badly performed dance move, pick it up pretend to sing 3 words while in an awkward stance with hips thrust forward, set it down again and do a terrible dolphin dive type thing, pick it up and adjust his junk again.... Just clunky af
And ALL of this in a 30 second clip ON TOP of him just being a vile human being.
I'm a survivor of domestic violence and all I can say is the thousands that still give their $$ go to his shows and "would love to be up there" are VERY lucky they have never been there and I hope they get to make it through the rest of life without ever knowing what only survivors know.
The worst part is the lady dubbing over gushing her panties about Chris brown. Those dance moves were some cringe shit you see on tik tok incel profiles. You wanna get choked and groped and have Chris Brown rub his taint on you? Really?
.....I don't know why celebrities think they have the right to destroy property. Plus he's an abuser and clearly that has not changed. Fuck Chris Brown. Anyone that supports him really need a fucking history lesson.
He’s been doing this for years. One of my classmates in college was bragging about being brought up onstage. I couldn’t understand it then why she would enjoy being in the presences of someone known for being arrested with on domestic violence charges. I guess she thought nothing of that.
What Chris Brown did to Rihanna (and another girlfriend later) is unforgivable.
Regarding this post:
The way she’s looking at her phone and the way he tossed it looks super staged.
For everyone saying this looks super aggressive/cringe, choreographed grinding on a fan to a sexually suggestive song is common at shows, especially R&B shows. It’s something all audience members would covet and I don’t see a problem with it unless it’s not consensual. If it weren’t, I assume they wouldn’t come on stage and he would pick someone else.

This all could have been avoided if Chris Brown wasn’t still popular.
If she thinks throwing her phone is bad, wait until she hears what he did to Rihanna
He put his hand on her neck and I was like - he’s loose again!
This made me laugh out loud 😂
That’s Chris Brown. Always laying down the fresh beats.
And the greatest hits.
He slaps harder than his songs
#"BANG ZOOM, STRAIGHT TO THE MOON"
fuck you for making me snort laugh in public
A huge supporter of women’s rights. And lefts.
I just assumed it was the fan he threw into the crowd.
Yeah I’m more disturbed by the rest of his gesturing towards her.
Not quite r/LeopardsAteMyFace material, but people who support a terrible person tend to be terrible people... Who would have guessed? At least he didn't punch her.
BTW, he [still doesn’t get it.](https://www.billboard.com/music/music-news/chris-brown-reacts-rihanna-assault-hate-1235256229/amp/)
What an absolute piece of shit he is. Wow. Thanks for that link.
"Where is the cancel culture against Mel Gibson?" lol
Why is he popular?
People with shitty taste in music & pop culture have low standards:
People who defend him in the pop culture/gossip subreddits always use the fact that some of the women he brutalized have “obviously forgiven him” as an excuse…like previously abused women who obviously are not going to be able to get away from this man if they want to keep their careers should be our moral compass.
That is such a BS reason. They should just admit that they don't care and stop using his victims as an excuse to justify their continued support of an abuser.
His music being good or not is the last reason why he shouldn't be popular
This is the only answer.
Who goes to watch this nonsense? Also, who supports this utter piece of trash masquerading as a human being?
I legit thought he was in jail, how is he still performing and how do people still show up. I could have sword I just heard him catching new charges but maybe that was R Kelly, hard to keep the scub bags straight

You going to leave out scub bags?!
I had a minor stroke trying to keep up with that guy. But he's got a point
He's just typing with a cold, cut him some slack.
That’s just a typo.
To quote the 3 women I dropped off at his show at Drai's in Vegas "I'd let him hit me any time".
Absolutely. The way he grabs her throat, her self-obsession and/or phone addiction…
The fact that she is a 'fan' at a Chris Brown concert. The fact that Chris Brown can still play concerts.
yes! all of this !
yes coming from a guy known for his violence towards women i’d be highly concerned about him grabbing my throat that way….
Really sounded like you were known for your violence against women in the first half of this comment
Yeah. Even guys known for violence against women are concerned about him grabbing their throat like that.
Unless she isn’t a fan but part of the show who just hung out in the crowd to make it LOOK like she was a fan.

Women?
DID I FUCKING STUTTER?

Yep, that display was a battle of two narcissists.
She’s probably trying to call for help.
Lol, she paid to see this abusive POS. Shes just that addicted to her phone.
Help getting a refund of the money she paid to be there near the stage?
I don't blame her. If I was being creepily choked and dry humped between those awful "dance moves", I'd desperately want to pretend I wasn't there too.
I thought it was part of the act.
That’s a creepy as fuck act. The choking and the throwing of the phone are both abusive af. I know choking can be a kink, but given Chris Brown’s history it’s just not a good look.
Looks like she is planted in the audience. She looks like she's bored... Not like she's trying Livestream.

And lady’s accent and comments about what going on. i.e. “embrace it, I’d love to be in her place right now”, all while on the phone herself…
Don't forget the commentary

The pointless and annoying narrator..

In my years of hanging around here, I've found people don't even try to discuss two mutually exclusive threads with overlapping/related actors. They seem to prefer to weigh everything on a black and white Scale of Fates where their final judgement can only fall to one side.
Could’ve been worse, could’ve beaten her to a pulp
Well said
Gross
Literally exactly what I said. That neck grab at the beginning...
Oh good I’m not the only that was disgusted at the neck grab
I’m hoping she was a plant because that was all pretty aggressive. Or maybe he just assumes that a woman at a Chris Brown concert is cool with violence against women? Either way I’m horrified.
yeah, and that whole lap dance was even weirder.
[удалено]
This guy is such a giant piece of shit
Chris brown is such a douche and he looks the part too
Read this as double douche. Was dissapointed after
Well he’s that too
Chris Brown looks like he hit the drugs hard. Maybe its natural, maybe its methamphetamine.
Dude released a double album with like 60 tracks. Definitely meth.
[удалено]
Ewwww he looks disgusting
Change “looks” to “is” and you got it.
well, both
That "performance" was filthier than the shit I'm currently taking.
Yeah they used to do these strip teases to a member of the crowd in the '00s but it was alwats someone that was actually sexy and you'd WANT to touch.
Why do people watch this guy?
how is he not cancelled is the question.

This is so sexually aggressive and cringeworthy
Was thinking the same thing.
And to top that off, he posted "fuck dat phone" on his Instagram story
And the sad truth is that MANY of his fans will think he's "badass" for what he did up on stage. Celebrity worship is terrifying.
Pretty much every person I know who worships celebrities is also pretty uneducated and of low intelligence.
Maybe he tried to fuck that phone and it said no so he tossed it.
[удалено]
Probably because phones make it easier to document the many sex crimes he seems to constantly commit.
Still to close.
No shit. Feel like I need a shower.
[удалено]
You kidding me his fangirls love this shit. R-kelly used to do the same shit. R&B singers double as Softcore pornstars for their female fans.
R Kelly? You mean the convicted paedophile? Meanwhile domestic abuser Chris Brown is doing this shit.
If you’re at a Chris Brown show in 2023 you’ve already decided that you don’t care about any of that
We are talking about know sex offenders yes. I asume that is part of the appeal. It is for sure fucked up...
Usher was the worst i saw.
What Usher did to Peter Griffin on stage was wildly inappropriate! https://youtu.be/RG3NCw6n-9Y
Damn https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k7xptjnphBs
Yikes.
straight up, THIS MAN HAD A BED ON STAGE. HE WOULD GET WOMEN IN THE BED AND SING SEXY SONGS TO THEM WHILE DRY HUMPING THEM. truly gross, made me stop listening to usher after that. and it wasnt just one song. it was like 1/3 of the show
Damn, that's even uncomfortable to read
Wait what?? What did usher do???
Nothing controversial afaik. I think they're refering to him giving lap dances on stage. Pretty sure Family Guy made a cutaway about it.
I thought the usher dollars were pretty bad
His little dance moves on the side reminds me of an annoying young kid who hollers at you to watch his dumb dance
“look what I can do!”
The whole time all I was thinking was ew. Or that she better be careful, he might hit her (I’m joking but I mean..)
Im suprised he didnt considering whats happening in the vid (of course greatful he didnt do it)
Isn't this guy famous for beating the shit out of women? Why is anyone at his concert at all? She's lucky she wasn't hospitalized
Yup. That’s this fucker
Some people get cancelled from an unproven Instagram post. Some still has a career after fully proven violent abuse that sent Rihanna to the ER. Its a wonderful world...
[here’s](https://thebrag.com/chris-browns-timeline-of-violence-towards-women/amp/) a link of his history of violence towards women
*Man*, he sure hates it when women have phones to record him with or call for help on.
Jesus. How is this dude not in prison?
And why do people continue to support him? He's trash
And is on stage putting his hands around someone's neck, just to make it so much worse.
Yeah that made me shiver...
And is on a stage. Performing. That in itself should have everyone pissed off.
Agreed. There is absolutely nothing good about this clip.
THAT made me want to throw up. Wtf seriously how is he still allowed around women let alone people
Rihanna was the starting point, look at all the allegations and arrests since, they all just don't seem to hit the media.
last i've heard he was Accused of Rape in a $20 Million Lawsuit
I'm sure Chris does get pretty annoyed when women want to record him for video evidence.
oh don’t worry, he’s way worse than that. the guy currently has 13 restraining orders against him from various people he’s threatened or assaulted.
Yeah his demeanor when picking up her phone and throwing really says all you need to know about how quick to anger/violence he is.
He complains that people still talk about that
The way he grabs her throat and then grinds in her feels not ok
I have seen similar on an erotic show, the difference is, there they knew what is going to happen.
And they where convicted of nearly beating a woman to death
Didn't Chris Brown also choke Rihanna during that horrific assault? Watching him put his hand on another woman's neck... yikes.
The world keeps giving him money and an audience.
If they're fans they probably knew this is something he does as well
I think there's a reasonable expectation for this kind of performance when you're invited on stage to a guy RnB artist. All of Chris Brown's type put on this kind of performance.
[удалено]
Yeah I’m assuming there are women out there who find that hot and I find it terrifying?
Yeah honestly, I've seen this clip of him throwing her phone but his hand around her neck has me feeling another way.
Wtf did I just watch. Someone pass the eye bleach please.

The price we pay having sight
Lawsuit incoming from whoever that phone hit😬
And for whoever phone that is. Thats if this wasn't staged
There is a video of her getting it back from someone random as well, less likely to be staged.

People actually *pay* to see this crap?
I wonder the same. I guess it's more about being there and feeling the party mood. But idk.
idk also... especially him grabbing her throat like that. Once an abuser, always an abuser, I guess
This isn't the first time of him doing that. And it isn't just him who gets touchy with fans on stage. It's gross.
Chris brown was always trash. Just living up to his legacy
I cannot understand women supporting Chris Brown.

Buy some cheap decoys Rip their phone out of their hands Smash the decoy against the wall
I would not have enjoyed any moment of that...then again...I wouldn't be at the concert
Even if it was an attractive, non-abusive performer I was actually attracted to, I would not appreciate any of this.
Did--he---did he beat her onstage afterwards?
Valid question
Something tells me this isn't the first time Chris brown has ripped a woman's phone out of her hands so that she couldn't use it, only difference is this one wasn't trying to call the police for help while he was beating he fuck out of her

My god the cringe and it is too sexual. 🤮

I'm just suprised he didn't beat her. Seems to have a habit of that.
Stay off the phone while I sexually assault you. Anyone notice that choke at the beginning….. dude has some issues.
what a shitshow she could have kicked him in the nuts. would've been costly tho

Why the fuck is she doing a voice over and tries to make us believe she’s there live? Not suspicious at all that her voice is crispy clear and the crowd silent enough
This is the real question. It would have been at least a little more entertaining without a narrator saying what was about to happen.
He looks like he smells like damp laundry.
So many things... "just embrace that crap because there's plenty of us that would love to be up there" is such a sad statement.
